BED BUGS AND VERY Basic BREAKFAST and not reception from 9 pm till 12.15 p.m ( not sure about the start time as i waited till 12.15pm.
Avoid if you can.

The entryway smelled of manure. The room was hot. We had to keep large doors shut during sleep because neighbors were smoking on their connected balcony and were up partying all night. The 2nd and 3rd bed were awful with peeling vinyl that sheet wouldn’t stay on.

We booked for 4 nights but left after 3, we would of left sooner but we were visiting friends who live in the area. We booked king sized bed but got 2 single beds. Blackout blinds that only covered 2 out the 3 windows. The security door was left open, including after curfew hours. No person to stop non guests from walking in. Overall a terrible place to stay.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Hotel Luise Mannheim. I booked a stay expecting a comfortable visit, but upon arrival, I quickly discovered that the heating system wasn’t working. This was a serious issue given the weather, so I raised my concern with the hotel staff, who eventually suggested that I leave, assuring me I would receive a full refund.

Unfortunately, despite their promise, I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve contacted the hotel multiple times and even visited in person, but each time I’m met with a new excuse. This lack of accountability and customer service is truly frustrating, especially after being asked to leave due to their facilities not being in working order.

I hope sharing my experience helps others make informed choices when booking.

Decent German hotel centrally located.

This is a fairly typical German style hotel with a twist. Got there early and doors were locked. There was a number to call as you need a code to get in the building when reception isn't open which is only between 1 and 9 pm. They told me that they normally send a code and instructions via text but Expedia didn't send them my phone number. I just needed to leave my suitcase as I was going to my daughter's apartment, so the housekeeping staff allowed me to leave my suitcase in a room by the reception area which because of impending construction is on the second floor. What I liked most about this hotel was the location. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and about a 15 minute walk to my daughter's apartment near the Klinikum.

If you are a lite sleeper be aware this is located on a main road in Mannheim with lots of stores, clubs and restaurants. There was a pair of earplugs in the room but I didn't need them.

Like other German hotels I've been in but room was large. 2 twin beds together with a duvet. Pillows were foam chunks and not comfortable and one pillow kept popping out of the case. Lots of outlets (European type). Room was warm, didn't need the heat on despite being cold outside.

The daily breakfast buffet was standard far with usual German breakfast foods - Muesli, coldcuts, fruit, cheese, eggs, yogurt and great brotchen.

It was hard to find, as it’s located in the walking area, no instructions have been provided.
You have to walk around the block from the parking garage.
Bathroom had bad, rotten smell.
Other than that it was ok. The room was huge.

Das Hotel war schön und hat unsere Bedürfnisse erfüllt. Einziges Manko: In Zimmer 61 gab es nachts gelegentlich Geräusche aus der Dusche; ich konnte nicht feststellen, ob sie von den Wasserleitungen kamen. Ansonsten war das Hotel sauber und schön. Ich hatte leider etwas Pech mit unserem Zimmer. Außerdem gab es kein Trinkwasser auf den Zimmern.

Property is connected to a cassino, so the hall smells of smoke. We had a hard time finding the hotel at first arrival and reception was temporarily on the second floor of the building, so it was a little weird to have to walk in and get the elevator. The room was OK but when we arrived the room roginally assigned to us was not yet clean, so they gave us another room that stragely had only manual keys, while all other rooms had digital locks. Breakfast was not included, but we decided to pay for it for convenience. Not too many options, but enough for an OK breakfast. Hotel region was not super great, there are a lot of cassinos in that area and many closed businesses, which gave the impression to be an area a little less safe than other regions of the city we've been to.

Nice room, clean, and the hotel has a convenient location. The entrance could've been more welcoming. A heavy smell of old cigarettes greets you as you come in. Had to wait a bit at reception before checking in, but not too bad.

Very bad experience

I booked three rooms for myself and two colleagues. This was my first time when I booked a double room, but since I was alone, only half the room was prepared. The double bed was made up for one person, there was only one towel, etc. Additionally, the bed linen and pillowcase were not clean; they smelled of cologne and sweat. The room also had a cigarette smoke odor. I raised these concerns with reception, and they advised me to send an email, which I did. Unfortunately, the email went unanswered, and nothing changed the next day.

This was a disappointing experience, and I can’t recommend it to anyone

Perfektes Hotel für eine Übernachtung in zentraler Lage (Stadtbahn direkt vor der Tür), Personal freundlich, Zimmer sauber und in Ordnung (außer: Tür ins Badezimmer konnte nicht geschlossen werden), Frühstück: ausreichend abwechslungsreiche Auswahl (die Tassen dürften größer sein, laufen am Getränkeautomat über)

Zimmer war ein Nichtraucherzimmer. Es hat trotzdem nach Rauch gerochen, als ob es früher ein Raucherzimmer war, aber jetzt nicht mehr, aber man bekommt den Geruch nicht aus dem Zimmer

Eigentlich war das Zimmer zur Straße hin nicht zu laut. Es hat in der Nacht jedoch geregnet und die Regentropfen sind mit sehr lautem Geräusch vor dem Fenster irgendwo dagegen geknallt.
Was auch nicht schön war: die Sender auf dem Fernseher waren verstellt, es gab kein ARD. Man hat mir sehr entgegenkommend angeboten, das Zimmer zu tauschen (ich habe das Angebot nicht angenommen, weil ich keine Umstände machen wollte. Es wäre aber möglich gewesen. Das fand ich sehr nett.)

Its like a hostel, at midnight a lot shouts at corridors drunk people, hourly user adults with +18 screams,
Ok i agree that its a cith hotel but, If you are travelling with family dont choose this hotel. Also if you need a good sleep, its impossible, you can't. Walls are very very thin.
Not recommended.

Der erste Eindruck war gut! Im Detail fehlte es an Kleinigkeiten: Ein Babybett haben wir bekommen, aber ohne Matratze. Beim Frühstück gibt es eine tolle Kaffemaschine aber es fehlten ausreichend Gläser für Latte Macchiato.
Schön war, dass wir erst befürchtet haben, dass es laut sein könnte (Ohropax statt Schoki auf den Kissen), die Abend- und Nachstunden waren aber sehr ruhig!

Dicht in het centrum, maar geen goede ervaring gehad, er miste een gordijn van onze kamer, zouden ze oplossen, maar na meerder keren vragen kwam ze met een dekbed aan die voor het raam gehangen werd. Niet overal even schoon, helaas werkte de code ook niet van onze kamerdeur, dit kan uiteraard gebeuren, maar toen ze het zelf meerdere malen probeerde en nog niet werkte gaf ze ons een algemene code, waarmee je in principe in iedere hotelkamer kon komen. Over het algemeen helaas geen geweldige ervaring.

Eine Klimaanlage auf den Zimmern wäre gut, da es recht laut ist, wenn man aufgrund der Hitze, die Fenster öffnet.
Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, die Zimmer gross und das Personal freundlich.
Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen.

Übernachte lieber woanders

Handtücher und Bettzeug fehlten beim Ankunft und es dauerte bis welche organisiert wurden. Kontakt mit zuständiges Hotelpersonal kaum möglich. Hotels.com wenig hilfreich und werde damit das Service nicht weiterhin nutzen. Gibt in der Preiskategorie viel, viel bessere Möglichkeiten auch ganz in der Nähe.

Grauenvolles Hotel! Ziemlich heruntergekommenes Hotel mit winzigen Zimmern schmutzigen Teppichböden und alten Toiletten. Als wir am nächsten Tag frühstücken wollten standen wir vor einer verschlossenen Rezeption und einem verschlossenen Frühstücksraum. Es waren wieder Personal noch irgendwelche Hinweise auf die merkwürdige Situation vorhanden. Nachdem wir eine Notrufnummer gerufen hatten konnten wir mit dem Hotel Manager sprechen, der sich aber nicht genötigt sah sich persönlich in die Rezeption zu setzen und uns lediglich mitteilte dass sein Personal krank wäre und es deshalb kein Frühstück gäbe. Das Frühstück hatten wir bereits am Tag vorher schon bezahlt und warten bis heute auf eine Rückzahlung. Ein unglaublicher Vorgang!
