Gayatri is located in central Ubud. It’s within walking distance to Monkey forest, Ubud palace and many other attractions in Ubud. The property is huge with many banana trees and avocado trees. They also have a Shala and offers free yoga classes twice a week. The breakfast menu is out of the world with many options for drinks both hot and cold and Vega dishes. We stayed on the fourth floor with a view of Ubud , the property and the mountains in the distance. They offered to serve breakfast on our veranda. The staffs brought our breakfast to us every morning. All of the staff were amazing! We had a wonderful time staying at Gayatri Hotel. We highly recommend it to anyone who plans to visit Ubud.

Lovely pool , huge multi lingual library in center of Ubud ,you can walk to numerous restaurants, museums, monkey forest . Lovely fruit bowl . A Finnish/ Balinese . Rooms small but each has outdoor area with table & chairs and purified water dispensers.

The Gayatri is a charmingly beautiful property located in central Ubud. The moment you step through the gates it is feels like you have entered a private retreat. We stayed in a pool side room which was like a separate villa with traditional Balinese architecture and wood carved doors. Amenities included a chaise lounge and large dining table on the lanai, two poster beds with mosquito netting and large sized bathroom with plenty of toiletries. Check in was quick and the word \"welcome\" was arranged with bright marigold flowers in the room which was a nice touch. The room rate also included a generous breakfast consisting of 2 beverages and 2 entree options per person that you can pick off the diverse menu to include dragon fruit bowls, pumpkin pancakes, tofu burger, etc. Loved that there were lots of common areas to soak in the atmosphere including the pool area, sitting pavilion and library. Hotel is right off main Monkey Forest Road, a 5-7 minute walk from Ubud Palace and Saraswati temple, so it is a very convenient location. Lots of shops, restaurants just around the corner from this gem. Only drawback was presence of some mosquitoes- which is not a problem created by hotel- but general environmental issue. Our room was near a water feature/ pond, so perhaps requesting a room in another part of property would help.I still give it 5 stars. This will be our go to place to stay when in Ubud.

Authentic Balinese charm, amazing healthy food.

Gayatri is the perfect hotel for exploring Bali, right in the heart of Ubud city center, walkable to shops, restaurants, tourists sites, yoga studios and everything Ubud has to offer, yet set back from the main road so it’s super peaceful and serene with lush nature views all around. I really appreciated the authentic Balinese architecture and decor, the beautiful pool area with nice seating and dining area beside the pool, stunning open air yoga shala and comfortable clean rooms. The food was so delicious and healthy and I loved that it was all vegan, with so many different options for breakfast and dinner, also the presentation of the food was outstanding. The staff were all very sweet, courteous and helpful. There was a bit of confusion about the yoga classes and whether or not they were open to hotel guests, and I later discovered they were sadly only for people signing up for a full week or longer. I also felt the bed linens and towels were quite scented even though they didn’t use perfume at my request. Overall I had a great stay and would stay again!

White fabric on all furniture needs to be recovered due to stains throughout the resort. We would stay again! We were able to cover all of the Ubud area attractions in one day due to close proximity.

One of the most epic experience of my life. We traveled from Las Vegas only to see how a hotel can be quoint, historic, sustainable, thoughtful, and deeply guest oriented. We had the pleasure to meet the owner Bagush. He is there working with his employees making sure everything is ok. It shows! The details are immaculate and breathtaking! The employees are so professional and kind. Our driver Wayan was so kind. My experience in Ubud is something I will remember forever - a lot of it has to do with this particular hotel. I have never felt attached to any space or place other than my home but Gayatri is another place I know I will come back to because I felt at home.

Marvellous property.. a hidden jewel in Ubud. We found a property where we will be staying everytime we holiday in Bali.
Kind and helpful staff - always working with a smile on their face.
Close to Ubud palace, Monkey forest.
Excellent inhouse vegeterian food - fresh and delicious.
Only downside is that cars/four wheelers can't come to property. Will have to walk with luggage from main road (very short distance and staff helped us with the luggage). This wasn't a big deal for us.

Room was big and had all that you needed but feeling a bit tired ie stained couches, bathroom etc. The pool was dirty likely due to the rain with white looking algae floaties in it so wasn’t tempted to swim for a couple of the days there but it did get better for one of the days. Perfect location which if looking to be in the center of the action would recommend. Pretty quiet accept for a local bar with live music but that didn’t go beyond about 10.30. All in all an ok stay

We would highly recommned Gayatri for a number of reasons:

1. Location is very convinient - walk to all the shops, restaurants & Spas.

2. Staff attitude and their service is excellent, We had a minor issue with our aircon and they were so good in addressing our concern.

3. Their breakfast was simply amazing. And their staff served it with genuine love and affection. Hard to find it these days. We had a choice of having it in our balcony or by the poolside.

4. Rooms are big and toilets are clean.Entire place has a traditional vibe.

Building is a bit dated and can do with some repair work.Staircase can be a very slippery when wet and steps are not equal so watch it when using them.There is no lift, so check your floor before booking, if you arent comfortsble using stairs.

Overall, we were very happy with our accomodation and we would definetly go back again. Best Value accomodation we have come across.

The resort Gayatri was amazing he was beyond the expectations when it came to the life it gave us the experiences of being a countryside peaceful but with amazing service at the same time. We were looking for Balinese style property within city center and has vegan, vegetarian options and we were so lucky to find such a true gem of villas which is conscious of environment, culture, food and service. Though the Air condition was not sufficient, they have taken care in all other aspects and also given complimentary snacks to compensate. Great, Gayatri name is kept to represent Gayatri mantra which Balinese follow regularly. The surrounding environment has great for bird watching and nice quiet atmosphere like a true Balinese house ..

nice enough but disappointing for the price

We stayed for a few days here, and overall was disappointed. On the surface the hotel looks beautiful and I have to say the room, bathroom and private terrace were huge! However, for the price we paid the hotel could do with some renovation and TLC. The rooms feel a bit dishevelled. The sofa's and chairs are worn and the rooms and surrounding areas are a bit unclean. The pool area has broken tables by the sun beds. The rooms are also very dark and not sound proof. There is a school next door so be prepared to be woken at 7am on weekdays and there is construction going on on the top floors which is very loud and dusty during the day around the pool. The doors to the rooms are strange and don't fully close, even when locked can be pushed open as the padlock is very old fashioned and annoying to use. The pool itself was very nice and refreshing, the staff were very accommodating and friendly- we used the laundry service which was good and breakfast on the private terrace was great. The hotel has great potential and had we paid around £40 a night we would have been happy but the price we paid for it we expected a bit more luxury.

Hotel is fantastic ,if you have to go to Ubud

The Hotel was serene, quiet, gorgeous, comfortable.
The staff was incredible, and the food was super delicious and plentiful !

However ,Ubud as a city has some Major problems. I dont recommend anyone go to UBUD until the city fixes major issues. There are no sidewalks, constant fast motorbikes and traffic- noisy and scary to walk or cross the road. and all the nice walks mostly gone.

If you are staying in Ubud, we would highly recommend Gayatri. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was by far the best we had in Bali! Furthermore, the hotel offers a peacefulness and tranquility that you would expect from an oasis, whilst still walking distance from many restaurants, temples, bars, shops and, most importantly, the monkey forest. We also visited the local village of Mas which is well known for its wood carving and mask making, a great day out to see the artisans at work!

We have just left the beautiful Gayatri after a five night stay, our second visit to this lovely family owned traditional hotel which is situated down a quiet lane from Monkey Forest Rd. Thankfully It is back to its pre pandemic self ! The staff are gorgeous, as are the breakfasts, beds so comfortable and the linen is quality…and the price is very reasonable for the quality. We will be back.

My boyfriend and I spent four nights here and the location was very convenient for us. Located near the Ubud Palace / Market and the Monkey Forest, you could find a lot of food options, yoga studios and great shops by walking just 5-10 mins. As it is not located directly on the main road, it is quiet and could give you some privacy and ambiance for sleeping at night.

The welcome drink (i.e. Kombucha) was super nice and fresh. The breakfast was HEAVEN and you could choose two main dishes, one hot and one cold drink for a single person. You could choose to have your dining around the pool area or your room.

The staff was very friendly and polite and served the guests with great smiles. It is totally worth the price for staying here for four nights if you want to enjoy the aesthetic side of Ubud!

Enjoyed our stay here. All rooms feature classic Balinese design including elaborately carved entries. Most have generous terraces. We loved having breakfast delivered to our private terrace each day. The pool is quite nice.
For some reason they didn't make up our room about half the days of our stay, and one day we specifically asked to have it done after 3 days without. I don't think it's a policy, just think they weren't very diligent about making sure it gets done. The food was very good, but FYI the menu seems to be entirely vegan. Don't recall any mention of this when we booked. No bacon & eggs for bkfst.

Great rooms, great staff, with delicious vegan breakfast. The breakfast, location and the business model to reduce harm are the best reasons to stay here. Easy access to everything.

We had room 19 which was beautifully renovated, private in the back, and was a quadruple room. It has 2 kind beds, connected but seperated by half a wall, 2 balconies, a bath tub, and a shower. Absolutely beautiful. AC was great and super cold.

The only concern is there are lots of bugs but that's everywhere in Bali. There are holes so everyday, we pretty much came home to 10 big ants or bugs crawling around. The bathroom is gorgeous, but they are open air and one time a water lizard came in and scared the hibbijibbis out of us. Nothing will bite you though.

The pool is great to swim.

We will definitely come back, just don't exactly recommend it for a honeymoon to a couple who can't stand bugs.

Great place for the price!

This was the first stop for my wife and I on our honeymoon. I'd definitely recommend it, especially for the price. It was in a good, central location with tons of places to walk to between food, shops, cafes, bars, etc. Pretty close walk to the Ubud Monkey Forest, although we went to the one in Sangeh, which I'd recommend because the monkeys are nicer there and don't steal.

Rooms are mostly just a bed and bathroom with a couple of drawers, so not too spacious if you want to sit inside, but there's a nice balcony for all rooms.

Pool was nice - not too big but about 15 chairs and a decent sized pool. Food was good and very affordable. Staff was very quick and easy to communicate with. For the price, it's hard to beat there!

The only downsides were that the shower was pretty bad. The bathroom itself is outside and beautiful, but the water pressure was horrible and came out extremely hot with no change in temperature wherever you set it. There were also ants in the room and the air conditioner was dripping a bit of water. However, my guess is that they'll fix the water heater and air conditioner, so the ants were the only thing but they weren't that big of a deal.

Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at Gayatri. The location was great, the breakfast outstanding, and the staff very nice and helpful. It wasn’t spotless, but we didn’t care. We were on the top floor and the roof leaked during a rainstorm and our clothes got wet, but that small thing was the only downside. The pool was lovely and it was great being able to WhatsApp for food. Overall we were thrilled, great value.

The only negative was the state of the bathroom in our room which needs a deep clean around the bath/shower area & generally a renovation as soon as possible.

I spent a couple nights here last week in Ubud. This was the 3rd place I stayed at over 5 nights. It was my favorite and the price was good. I had a double bed, room 4. AC worked. The shower pressure was great and it was clean. They provide free breakfast, but you need to order it from a menu. Options are ok but they don’t have any eggs on the menu!

The property and pool was beautiful. The location was central and easy to walk around. I would stay here again.

Central, quiet and comfy

Amazing beautifully appointed spacious, locally owned hotel in traditional style. Amazing pool. I was in a very private, serene upper storey location (recommended), with huge balcony. Good air conditioning. Perfect space for reflection and meditation. It is in the best location, right near the shopping, but set apart down a very safe side street that allowed respite from the noisy bars and shops on Monkey Forest St. Beautiful garden, statues and artwork. The staff were very quick to help when i made any request. Nothing was too difficult. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was huge, with two full sized meals instead of one, and a great selection e.g. pancakes, fried rice, juice and coffee all included. Loved this place and would definitely stay again. I also met lovely people staying here. As a solo traveller it's nice to meet good people with similar outlook and attitude.

A rare gem right in the heart of Ubud. Close to everything. Spacious rooms, breakfast served on the patio every morning. Lovely surroundings. The only downside no soap was provided to wash hands and no hair dryer.

Great staff, great stay!!

Our stay at Gayatri was perfect!! The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating! They went the extra mile for us in every way. They were undergoing some small renovations/improvements so there was a bit of noise from that and it’s right next door to a school; also some noise from that. The room was great, except the ceiling fan was a bit wobbly and creates a bit of noise; and could use bug netting around the bed. These are just small things that could use a bit of improvement, but in no way did it affect our stay. We would highly recommend to our friends and family and we would definitely stay there again. Suksma Gayatri!!:)

Great cottage residence with traditional getup

It was a kind of different exp. The hotel was traditional and had cottages fpr each room with a porth. The rooms are pretty good wirh confy beds, lockers and nice bathrooms. Have wifi in rooms and pool. For breakfast choice is less but pretty filling. Overall I will come back again if I am back to Bali..

We had a great stay at Gayatri : this hotel is located centrally just off one of the main streets in Ubud yet is in a back lane and remains quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and nice ( special mention to Ayu at the front desk ) . A copious breakfast is included in the room price but the dining menu is also very good ( we recommend the Balinese tasting plate ) . All rooms are elaborately decorated and seem to be continuously renovated. Finally the pool is a great addition after a hot day out walking. Thank you Gayatri for an amazing stay in Ubud !

Amazing Hotel.

The location of the Hotel was fabulous, right in middle of Ubud down a small lane way.
The staff are wonderful and friendly. They went above and beyond to get an extra doona for my husband.
The food was delicious and fresh. Our favourite was the Vegetable Soup with chicken.
Breakfast could be served atbyou room or by the pool or overlooking the small rice field.
The swimming pool got the right amount of sun and plenty of sun lounges for guests. The towels were laid out on the sun loungers every morning with a flower.
Loved not having no television was fabulous and relaxing. Though you do have free wifi...
Would definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful hotel.

Hotel was lovely, staff was extremely friendly. Service was great, were able to fix air while we went out for dinner. Location was so great for walking any where in Ubud. Only thing I didn't like was that they only had a raised tub with no real shower.

Authentic, small, beautiful setting

The Gayatri Bungalows are perfectly located down a lane so away from the busy street, but walking distance to all the shops and restaurants.
The gardens are beautiful, the pool spotless and the view across the rice paddies gives you the impression of a hotel in the country side, not in the middle of Ubud.
There are a great range of rooms to suit all budgets. I stayed in the deluxe which was well appointed and comfortable.
This is not a five star propert, but neither is the price.
I chose this hotel because I wanted local architecture, a small property and the genuine friendliness that only a small family run hotel can offer. I wasn't disappointed.

ゆったりした時間の中で、丁寧な対応。地元っぽさもしっかりあって、立地もウブドの王宮の近くと便利。クタへの移動の時、運転してくれたカレさんも優しかった。
また、ウブドに行くなら、泊まりたい。

王宮や市場に近く、歩いて10分もかからずに行けます。車道から200mくらい入るので、中心部にも関わらず静かです。王宮で開催されたバロンダンスを観た帰り道も全く危険なく帰れました。食事はルームサービスも含めて全てviganです。すごく美味しくて，肉や卵がなくても豆腐，ナッツ、アーモンドミルクなどで十分満足できる料理でした。階段がないので4階とかだとちょっと大変かもしれません。また、湯船はなくシャワーだけです。部屋には電話もなく，連絡は全てwhat'supでのやりとりです。スタッフさん達はとても親切でフレンドリー。レセプションの方達は英語が通じます。伝統的はバリ様式のホテルでとても寛げました。

Hotel is good, staffs very nice. Including the breakfast is very yummy. However, i stayed there for one night, suddenly no power for five times. One time is during we sleeping, so we dont know and it made us no air con whole night. One more thing is the shower head only very little water come out. It made me cant wash my long hair. Finally i only wash my long hair in washing head there.

정원이 크고 나무와 풀이 많은 곳이어서 벌레를 걱정했으나 다행히 모기 외에는 벌레는 못봤어요. 건물 자체는 세월의 흔적이 보였으나 깔끔하게 유지되고 있었어요. 단, 방의 크기에 비해 너무 작은 조명등 3개가 전부라... 대낮에도 방이 너무 어두웠어요. 그리고 침대가 너무 삐걱거리는 소리가 났음. 조식은 꽤 좋았어요. 깔끔하게 나왔고 맛있었습니다
