Very nice \"hidden\" getaway! Unfortunately there was construction going on in front of the hotel that we had to walk through, but aside from that, this place has a wonderful tranquil property! Good breakfast options, quiet, and super close to restaurants and shopping. Staff is super friendly.

We had a wonderful stay here the location can't be beat. Right in the center of Ubud close to the monkey forest and a ton of different restaurants. The rooms were clean the staff and service can't be beat. The breakfast was included and was very delicious with about 5-7 different options including tradition Indonesian breakfast, fresh fruit and tea/coffee.

The pool was a nice respite from the heat and was clean and pleasant cleaned and tested chemicals daily. The property is beautiful and well kept and amazingly quiet. The wifi was a tad temperamental but not too bad and being in such an amazing area it was not really required for much.

The shuttle service they provide was awesome, the price is comparable if not cheaper than a taxi plus they meet you at the airport when you arrive which especially if it's your first time in Indonesia is great as you will be bombarded with offers of taxi and shuttles.

I would highly recommend staying here you will definitely not be disappointed.

The staff her at the Yulia have been super amazing and gone beyond to help me this week! I have been so sick all week with a virus and couldn’t barely leave my room. The staff have brought me food, went to the store for supplies and even drove me to the clinic!! Unbelievable.... the only downside is that the car to the airport is at 3pm and they will not let me stay in my room past 1pm without paying another day. Guess I’m going to sleep in their lobby this afternoon. But that’s a management problem not the staff’s fault...

I loved the stay at Julia Village Inn. The location cannot be better. Monkey Forest, Ubud Market, many shops and restaurants are in walking distances. The staff were welcoming and lovely. The hotel is nice and clena, really central, close to the monkey forest (you can walk there). Everything in the hotel works, only thing really disappointing on our check out date the staff told use we had drunk 2 beers from the minibar and with had to pay additional.. when it was not true! we tried to argue and explain that we did not even opened the minibar door but they did not let us go before we had paid for something they accused us to have taken. Extremely disappointing behaviour. Make sure u take a picture day by day of what it is in the minibar.

Hotel comes with free parking. Hotel location is near everywhere in ubud by foot. Hotel is very well maintain and room is super clean. Exactly same as hotel advertised! Aircon is in great working condition as well (in fact we felt cold at night). A newer hotel just opposite yulia cost double the price. So why pay more for the same location?

This hotel was great value for money. Set in magnificent gardens well back from the main road, it proved a delightful place, very quiet, comfortable, clean and the staff were wonderful. Tiniest problem was staff started at around 7am and tended to talk very loudly outside our room which woke us and stopped any chance of sleep in. Also house staff were so efficient that twice after coming back after breakfast around 9.30am we had to wait to enter our room as it was being serviced. But I highly recommend this hotel, it is perfectly located in the middle of Ubud yet seemed to be miles away. Will definitely stay there again should I return to Ubud

My partner and I stayed at Yulia on our last night in Bali and it was just lovely. The room was beautiful and the staff incredibly helpful and accommodating. It's in a great central part of Ubud but the rooms are far away enough from the main road that makes it quiet and peaceful. I'd definitely stay here again if I were to return to Ubud

I hate to leave bad reviews but... the food was awful, we tried the free breakfast 3 days and elected to go out and pay for breakfast elsewhere. There were 2 power failures, the first we believed the front desk that it was from {Central Ubud} the power company, but were kinda questioning why others had power. the 2nd time it happened, we went out onto the street to check and all other businesses had power, hate being lied to- which is why I have elected to give this review. Our air conditioner went out one night and had to call for assistance and the guy came right away, was apologetic and polite, did the things we had just done and then went to get a ladder, then had to go get a taller ladder and an assistant. seems that the plug was shorting out or not connecting properly, after about a half hour of fidgeting with it they found the sweet spot and said he would report the bad plug the next day. It kept working, but there was a drip from the ceiling where it backed into the wall, think it may have been condensation... the grounds staff were all polite and friendly, grounds were beautiful, pool very small. Front desk help left much to be desired. great location for walking around Monkey Forest area and shopping the market. great restaurants close by.

Just spent one night here. Glad they had lights for the stairs which we turned on and left on since when we came back it was extremely dark walking up the stairs to the room. There was construction going on that night, so wish we had known that before booking. It wasn't too loud but it was noticeable. Centrally located on the road so it was easy to walk to food, shopping and the monkey jungle. Not luxurious, but the room was clean and AC worked well.

We booked well in advance (15 days) a double room, on arrival only single beds in room as staff said that we were a last minute booking!! How did that happen?
Room quite grubby and on moving the beds -- months of fluff and dirt behind the furniture -- dirty. Bathroom needed a good scrub as grouting quite grubby and deteriating.
Old out dated furniture in the room -- room very tired and needs up grading.
On the other hand out side gardens and pool area quite inviting.
Breakfast good but cooked items quite cold.
Overall -- not fantastic.

Nice beds, not very clean bathroom, dodgy wifi, friendly staff, pretty garden, small but very yummy breakfast (you order from a menu, Vegetarian options available), free tea and snacks at 3pm near pool, motorbike rental for 50,000, hot water, towels. One super gross thing was that everyday at breakfast, they give us juice with a used, dirty straw in it. Disgusting. I pointed it out to the table next to me, and they could tell their straws were dirty too. The only other thing I really didn't like, besides the dirty bathroom and used straws, was that when you ask the front desk about how much taxis should cost for specific locations, their estimates were always more than double what I'd end up negotiating.

Air conditioning worked but since there are many areas that are open to outside with just a screen the room didn't get cool enough. Bugs and lizard got through the screens. Ceiling fan so loud we slept with ear plugs. Bed was uncomfortable, towels small and rough, mildew in bathroom. Breakfast was pretty good and pool was nice. Hotel needs alot of work to be considered a 3 star.

We enjoyed 4 days at this Hotel.On 1st arriving a little tired looking from the front however on entering Hotel and its gardens and rooms was pleasantly surprised .very clean and well maintained.Room was very modern with lovely rain shower. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to choose from. They even provide afternoon tea/coffee with cake (nice touch)
Location is great if you want to be in the middle of all the restaurants/bars for music etc.
Staff were very eager to please and very hospitable.Highly recommend this place for a few days to explore UBUD.

Double storey units set in tended gardens. We had an upstairs unit which had a sunny, furnished balcony overlooking rice padi fields, the downstairs units were in constant shady. Rooms good size, neat and tidy, with separate, clean bathroom facilities. Small, but adequate swimming pool. Limited menu based breakfasts, but with 'real' fruit juice. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Great location on Monkey Forest Road!

Yulia is in a great location on Monkey Forest Road. Like other guests, we were underwhelmed by the reception area, but the rooms are really nice and comfortable.

There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but afternoon tea is provided by the hotel from 3pm until 5pm. We asked for some hot water one evening to make ourselves a drink and we were provided with a kettle, so my advice would be to ask for anything if you need it; the staff were very helpful and friendly!

The only downside is that the wifi is quite intermittent in the rooms, not a massive issue but something to bear in mind.

We stayed one night only as we needed to catch a bus the next morning. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel was peaceful. The rooms are nice (loved the ottoman in ours) and although it seems slightly worn in the entrance lobby, the actual rooms are nice. Good showers too. Locations fantastic, lots of things and restaurants within a five minute walk. Breakfast was ok. Did the job.

1st Trip to Ubud

My 1st trip to Ubud for a short getaway was a refreshing alternative to the Kuta or Legian areas. The Yulia was a pleasant surprise centrally located within walking distance to the Monkee Forest, many restaraunts, live music and shopping. The staff were attentive and friendly and the grounds were a quiet oasis with two pools. Breakfast met my expectations, but with so many other choices I took my other meals else where. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for adults and small families.

Overall a nice place, but parts by the pool were under construction, so there was constant banging after 8 am, and lots of men around doing construction-related tasks. Would have liked to have known that! Did not make you want to go back to the room and take a siesta! Internet was very intermittent, and staff seemed surprised every time we mentioned it was off. They then went and reset it. Also, you had to plug in the codes/passwords every time you logged on. Great location, but a few issues to work out.

Nice hotel, not as flash as quite as hotels in Kuta but a reflection of Ubud. Central location for lots of nice restaurants and bars. Small rooms but adequate.

Just perfect!

I travelled in low season and got a great room for a great price. Upstairs, with balcony, awesome shower, huge comfy bed, perfectly clean. Great location within easy walking distance of all in central Ubud (and very easy to find a driver to go farther afield). Lovely pool. Tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Charming staff. I'll be back!

Wonderful hotel in central Ubud

I really enjoyed my stay at Yulia Village Inn. It is very tranquil and authentically Balinese in its look. The staff were very accommodating and friendly; making every attempt to improve my stay. The facilities are well-cared for and the room is equally modern, clean and comfortable. The breakfast of banana pancakes was divine and generous in proportion. It was also a welcomed treat to have tea/coffee and cake each afternoon by the pool. I look forward to recommending Yulia Village Inn to my friends returning myself someday.
