We had a great experience, the staff were very friendly, it was very quiet there and in a great location to walk to local shops and food. The only downfall was that it could have been a bit cleaner, however our overall experience was good. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely staff and service was great. Hotel is next to a waterfall and there is a musty smell in the rooms and bed linen feels damp. We actually downgraded our room to go up a level to a room that felt a little less damp. Breakfast is simple but pleasant. Watch out for the monkeys! Cute to watch but they might take a fancy to whatever you leave on your balcony or patio. Overall good value for money and decent location but a little tricky to get to by car due to major traffic congestion all over Ubud and hotel is the end of a long road.

I loved how close it was to the monkey forest, there were monkeys right outside of the hotel and sometimes even on the roof! Very cool. The room was beautiful and clean, food in the restaurant was great, and the spa was lovely. Would stay here again.

Good location, but not so good hotel.

We booked 2 rooms for our family. We stayed 4 nights in rooms 109 & 110. Garden is lovely. Staff were wonderful and tried their best, but the hotel didn't meet our expectation. We have traveled all over Asia for 20 years. Room's layout is poorly designed. Room 109 bathroom smells really bad; toilet inadequate flush. We reported to the manager, but nothing was done. One night room 109 lost electricity, while room 110 had no air cond. For the price that we paid, we cannot recommend this hotel.

Very Quiet, yet close to Monkey Forest Road

Room was very specious and very clean. It was a very short walk to Monkey Forest Road and a short walk to the entrance of Monkey Forest itself. The hotel is nearby to all sorts of shops, cafes restaurants, massage spas, yet the hotel itself is in a very quiet area. Location is perfect. Staff were very friendly and always eager to help in any way. I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by great staff! Rooms were comfortable, clean, and had all the expected amenities of a resort. Staff was very knowledgeable about local excursions and good eats. Check out Flora Bali Trek and ask for Sang! We had a wonderful time just enjoying the local street life in Ubud. Right adjacent to Monkey Forest and has a nice quite pool area. Only suggestion would be to circulate or heat the pool at bit... It was freezing and only was good for a very quick dip on hit day. Take the evening offer to order breakfast, the tea and banana pancake was wonderful.

Good hotel, but a very rude manager

Firstly, the hotel is a great hotel for the amount of money you pay. But we didn't have a terrace, there were no minibar and breakfast was really disappointing, but you could always walk to the supermarket and buy some bread and ham. The room is nice, but the sheets and towels are gray, and I hadn't expected that from a bit better hotel as this. The problem with this hotel, and why you should book another place is the manager, he is an absolute shameful man. He actually made my girlfriend cry when she went to the reception to report that the toilet wouldn't flush. The other staff actually had to comfort her, and they were so sorry for their awful manager.This could be a culture problem, but I think that he is very very rude to the guest that has a problem they want to report. Instead of trying to solve the problem and be respectful, he starts making excuses and lays the blame on us as his guests with a language that doesn't belong in a managers mouth.

Well where don't I start!!! Everything they say they have they don't . Booked 8 nights regretfully had to stay one night, left first thing in the morning and booked elsewhere. There was Mould above bed head, grey dirty looking towels, sheets grey, toliet looked like it hadn't been cleaned. motorbikes riding past constantly tooting. All in all will never go back and would not recommend .

Good, but not for disabilities or back problems

Good: size of rooms, working bathroom, showers have good hot water and pressure. Location is amazing, being so close to the monkey forest. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, and all the food was good. Try the green banana pancake, for sure!

Bad: hotel is hard to get to by car, so some transports will refuse to pick you up. They will ask to meet you by the monkey forest gate. It is a short walk. Getting to monkey forest road must be done through a small alleyway. If riding a motorbike, the hill at the end is challenging. If you have any disabilities, this is not the hotel for you. Be warned the alleyway is dark, and when it rains, a puddle fills the entire path. If you wish to remain dry, you have to balance on the side of the road. None of the above are the hotel's fault, it is just the area. The beds are extremely hard, and they only provide two pillows. This would be ok if the pillows were decent. We ended up with massive back and neck aches every morning, and we were glad to move on to a different hotel at the end of our stay because of this. We are only 30 years old. Pool is really cold. Really only best for dipping your feet, but it was cool when we were there, so there wasn't much of a need to cool down.

This has good reviews and I'm not sure why, pool was dirty and small. There is a walking path that is just rocks and dirt to the hotel so a car can't access the hotel. You have to walk with luggage down and up this path. NO WI-FI, ONLY IN THE RESTAURANT for breakfast. NOT IN ROOM. 3 channels on the TV. Construction outside noisy, Door to the room cracked. Confronted hotel manager and they denied it all and told me basically that wifi is a privilege and I should of booked deluxe room for a more comfortable stay. Do not recommend.

Taxi driver couldn't find the hotel. Road is in bad condition. To get to the main street a narrow muddy path to walk. The room was okey but I could hear all voices and steps from my room. Big gap in the sliding door . Staff didn't speak English hard to communicate. Fridge was empty. I would not come back to this hotel

Rocky Start, Nice Finish

Getting to Indira Cottage will likely be the worst part of your stay. It's at located on the very end of Jalan Bisma, which becomes a rocky, narrow road and makes it seem like your driver is taking you down a desolate back alley. But don't worry! A quick walk or scooter ride through an actual back alley will lead you to Monkey Forest Road right next to the entrance of the forest. The grounds of the hotel are quite nice and depending on which room you get you will be satisfied. 8 of the rooms come with a balcony or porch in which you can relax and enjoy your complimentary breakfast. I suggest getting a first floor suite, they are the most quiet. They start preparing breakfast very early and the noise reverberates throughout the 2nd floor. Maybe it's just me, but the firm beds and pillows were not a highlight. After awhile I starting getting neck pain, but I was able to deal with it. The free breakfast was nice each morning and started the day off right. They have a green banana pancake, which was really delicious. There is a pool area, which is pretty, but icy cold and it doesn't receive any direct sunlight. The best part of Indira Cottage was the kind a accommodating staff. They were always friendly, attentive, and hard working. They are on duty 24 hours and always provided a level of safety and comfort. The location is quite good, but I do recommend renting a scooter to get around. Monkey Forest Road is very touristy, so it's nice to be able to escape that easily.

The staff at this hotel are AMAZING! I can't express how kind and friendly the staff are. The rooms are a good size, great water pressure in the shower and only steps away from the action on the main road. Don't let the long drive put you off--there is a quick path. My only complaint/suggestion is that the room I was in needed a really good scrub down of the walls. For this price rang, I would definitely recommend this place.

It is very very close to the Monkey Temple, about a 2-3 minute walk. Although the main shopping market is at the other end of the road & takes about 20-30 minutes to walk there. Overall hotel is very good although the Manager is not accommodating but the rest of the staff is amazing.

Bed and sink were modern and clean. Breakfast met my fussy diet. CONS: Difficult to find – to arrive directly at the hotel via car then the road must be accessed from the city centre, rather than from Monkey Forest. Room amenities inadequate – No safe and minimal furniture. Can sit on bed, patio chairs, tv tabletop or the cabinet of drawers. The wardrobe is in the bathroom. The sink counter had little spare space. I had to ask for something to ward off the mosquitoes at night, which they provided but required 1 of the 2 available electrical sockets in the room. The other socket was above the cabinet of drawers, which my laptop used (with my mobile phone charging via the laptop). My mobile found the hotel's wifi network but my laptop could not, which the manager could not explain (my next hotel told me that I needed a separate password for each device). However, I was glad that I had booked only 1 night when tiny ants appeared around the corners of the cabinet of drawers, on which I was sitting whilst using my mobile that was charging. To put this review into perspective, I found another hotel on the same road, closer to the center, with complimentary rides to the Ubud area and a much better upkeep of the rooms and its premises (including a clean pool and restaurant) for the same price.

Serene and peaceful. Minutes from Monkey Forrest

It was a wonderful place to relax, and enjoy Ubud. It was off the main road with a 50 m walk down an alley to Monkey Forrest Road. Quiet and serene yet easy access to the activity. The pool was beautiful and clean. The grounds were immaculate. The staff very accommodating and friendly. An easy walk to Monkey Forrest Road and other places in Ubud. I would highly recommend this place.

Spent 6 days at this hotel in a perfect location near the Monkey Forest. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served outside your room unfortunately we were woken up at 5:30 each morning by the sound of cutlery, cups and plates being delivered and set up on our verandah. We complained about this to office staff but the process continued. If you are an early riser it isn't a concern but if you like an uninterrupted sleep it is very annoying. Apart from this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The access road goes from narrow sealed, to potholes, then to rubble and then sand and soil, before getting to a good forcourt. -To walk to the main street, only 150 meters away, there is no proper pathway, just a track, which becomes muddy after a little rain and is not lit at night, great pity, as a good path would upgrade the area and improve any opinion of Indirra, but management told us the neighbouring landownwer will not agree to a path being installed, or lights. Downgrades the place, pity. Staff all pleasent, sit in dark at night as you return from main street, odd.

It's true what everyone is saying about the hotel being tucked away and a bit hard to find. The street Monkey Forrest kind of makes an \"L\" shape and the hotel is right where the \"L\" makes a right angle, near the southern entrance of Monkey Forrest. There is no street name. It's a tiny little sidewalk right next to a coffee place. And I do believe it is a dirt road. The staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt. The location is excellent. I could get to all of the restaurants I wanted to go to as well as yoga and the Monkey Forest. The rooms were large, bathrooms were nice, there was even internet. The only concern (and it is tiny) was the toilet kind of smelled like a septic tank when we flushed and seemed to be leaking near the bottom. But, the hotel was very nice, reasonably priced and a great location. I would certainly stay there again and tell my friends to stay as well.

호텔방 천장에 누수흔적 있었고 거울에 지워지지않는 오래된 얼룩이나 가구의 낡음 등 상태는 전체적으로 오래된 모습.

조식 퀄리티 음..ㅋㅋ 오믈렛 시켰는데 계란말이 나오고
토스트는 눅눅하고 나시고랭은 처음먹어보는 맛
그마저도 원숭이가 와서 뺏어갔음
그런데도 여기 4점이나 준 이유는 직원들이 정말 너무 친절했어요
식사하는 내내 새총같은 걸로 원숭이 쫓아주고
아이들이 궁금해하니 새총도 해보게 해주셨어요 ㅋㅋㅋ
아이들은 방에서 원숭이 실컷 볼 수 있어 좋았대요
덕분에 몽키포레스트 안갔어요.
연박은 못하겠지만 0.5박정도는 괜찮은 것 같기도..?

Personale super gentile e disponibile, la struttura si trova parecchio vicina alla Foresta della Scimmie, infatti è possibile vederne spesso di alcune che si aggirano nei pressi della struttura. Poco distante (anche a piedi) ci sono diversi locali e, in generale, è una zona parecchio facile da raggiungere.

Hôtel réservé en dernière minute et une belle surprise ! Accueil extraordinaire, à 2 pas de la Monkey Forest, d’ailleurs avons été accueillis par une colonie de singes ce qui a enchanté notre fille). Je recommande pour 2 nuits max toutefois.

Séjour en petit groupe très cool

Les chambres était superbes, on y a passé 4 nuits très confortables et surtout, les gens qui s’en occupent étaient adorables, serviables et attentionnés. Je vous conseille néanmoins de louer des scooters (ils en ont) pour bouger car Ubud regorge d’endroits à voir et que cette ville est pleine de charme.
Le petit bémol est la piscine un peu trop petite et près de la réception sinon merci à tous les employés, ils ont été parfaits, Kadek nous a organisé le rafting, le cours de cuisine et le transport pour Gili, tout ça à de bons prix, merci à elle plus encore. :)

Chambre en Rez de chaussée spacieuse sdb Belle grande et surprenante , chambre vieillissante mais un rafraîchissement est prévu en début d'année selon les dires de la réceptionniste

L'hôtel est situé à 2 pas du centre ville, bars restos a gogo et boîte de nuit pour les noctambules

Wij waren uitermate tevreden over ons verblijf. Een fijne schone kamer. Een fijn zwembad. Badhanddoeken beschikbaar. Behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Het hotel ligt op een centrale locatie.

Luxory at low price

Uudehko, siisti pikkuhotelli. Sijainti on loistava, pientä kujaa muutama kymmenen metriä ja olet Monkey St.
Kadulla useita ravintoloita ja kauppoja. Apinametsä ihan vieressä. Olimme ilman reppua, vain vesipullo, toimi hyvin, Kuvautimme itsemme pikku apinan kanssa temppelialueella, 20K vartijalle. Muista pitää pikku rahaa aina mukana!
Sagitarius ravintola oli hyvä ja halpa. Esim. hyvä kanapihvi 50k, pippuripihvi 80k ja paikalliset vielä halvempia. Jos haluat kokeilla, niin iso lasi Arakia 15k.
Tenanungan vesiputoukselle ota uikkarit ja pyyhe mukaan.
Lintupuisto ja elefanttiafari kivoja. Norsu ratsastus kallis noin 600K, mieti. Olisin jättänyt väliin ja vain ruokkinut ja kuvauttanut. Pääsymaksu noin 300k, kuten Lintupuistoon.
Hotellin aamupala on niukka,mutta sillä pääsee alkuun. Ei ne banaaniletut mitään huippuja ole . Jälkeen päin esim. Lovina Beach Cottagessa hunajalla höystettynä pesee ne 6-0
Otimme yhden lisäyön, koska nähtävyyksiä oli katsomatta ja Ugung'in tilanne muutti suunnitelmia.
Bali on hyvä ainakin syys-lokakuussa, ilmat ok ja low season painaa hinnat alas.
Ubudissa tulen tähän hotelliin toistekin

便利な場所です。部屋もきれいですよ。

とてもきれいな部屋でした。モンキーフォレストに程近く、モンキーフォレスト通りにも近いため、周辺の散策には非常に便利です。朝ごはんは部屋の前にあるテーブルに、指定した時間に用意してくれます。ただ、食事の内容は選択肢が少なく、期待しないほうが宜しいと思います。

Would go again!

The room was nothing fancy, but there was everything I needed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was near everything, but still not next to the loud mainroad. The pool was great and the balinese breakfast was delicious, best banana pancakes I had on my trip to Bali.

Ruhiges Hotel und trotzdem direkt am Affenwald

Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Der Manager ist super hilfsbereit, die Angestellten sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoß mit riesigem Bad und Frühstück auf der Terrasse.
Auch mit unserem eigenen Mietwagen konnten wir das Hotel gut erreichen. Ein kleiner Weg (1 Minute) führt in die Monkey forrest road. Somit war es ruhig und trotzdem sehr zentral.

Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Härligt hotell nära centrum

Vi bodde här hela vår vistelse i Ubud. Personalen var underbar och hjälpe oss med allt vi behövde, tex. privat guidad tur till många sevärdigheter i Bali, för ett rimligt pris. Hotellrummet var fantastiskt fint och rent. Det var en könsla av lyx även om det var enkelt. Rekomenderar er verkligen detta hotell. Det enda minuset var frukosten som inte var så mycket att hänga i granen, även om den var mysig! Vi tyckte om detta hotell mycket! / ungt par.

床鋪有蝨，寧願花多點錢租比較好的

床鋪應該沒有很乾淨，我跟女友入住3晚我們都被一粒一粒的昆蟲(我們覺得是蝨)咬，咬到皮膚又紅又癢一粒一粒的，每晚都睡不好…
我們房間冷氣不夠冷，還有網絡非常慢，想查一些要緊的事情等很久都跑不出來，受不了就去附近cafe買杯咖啡用店內Wifi…

Vi var rigtig glade for at bo på dette hotel, det lå perfekt forhold til by og seværdigheder :) vi lejede en scooter til kun 30 kr. så vi også kunne komme lidt ud fra byen.

C'est un petit hôtel, bien situé, tout proche de la monkey forest road en prenant un raccourci à pied ou à scooter.
Très propre avec belle piscine. Le personnel est agréable et très souriant.
La grosse note négative de cet endroit magique: le patron qui gère l'établissement. Un homme pas trop aimable et qui se fout du confort de ses clients.
Nous avons passé notre première nuit dans une chambre avec deux lits séparés car notre chambre avait été prise. Nous l'avons accepté facilement car très fatigué du voyage.
Le petit déjeuner est vraiment léger avec un pancake à la banane et une boisson chaude avec un jus de banane coupé avec de l'eau.. Sans aucun fruits comme déjà vu sur les photos.
Nous avions demandé un deuxième pancake et ce très gentil patron nous a répondu que c'était payant, oubliant vite qu'il nous avait fait passé notre première nuit dans une chambre inférieure.
bref vraiment dommage car tous les bons points été réunis pour faire de cet endroit, un hôtel haut de gamme.

Esperienza da NON ripetere!

Noi purtroppo non abbiamo avuto una bella esperienza in questo hotel: la camera non rispecchiava quanto indicato nei dettagli in sede di prenotazione?
Gli asciugamani erano sporchi, ne abbiamo chiesto altri e per TRE volte li ho richiesto perché sempre sporchi!
La camera non proprio pulita e in più era invasa da formiche, alla nostra richiesta si spruzzare qualcosa dietro la scrivania (da dove ci sembrava arrivassero le formiche) sono uscite ennemila formiche e uno dei ragni più grossi che avessi mai visto. A quel punto ci hanno cambiato stanza, controllandola abbiamo trovato un sacco di capelli nel letto!
Abbiamo deciso di andar via e soggiornsre in un altro hotel.
Abbiamo chiesto di poter parlare con qualcuno e ci hanno risposto che loro erano solo lo staff, siamo allora riusciti a farci dare una mail alla quale abbiamo scritto chiedendo che ci venissero restituiti i nostri soldi.
Alla mail ci hanno risposto di chiamare ad un numero telefonico, abbiamo chiesto di poter comunicare via mail e non via telefono: stiamo ancora aspettando una risposta...

Hotel simples sem muito a oferecer...

O hotel Indira tem quartos bem espaçosos, mas com roupa de cama bem antiga, com mal cheiro. O banheiro também é bem grande, mas água quente demora demais a chegar. Há uma banheira bem nova para quem gosta. O frigobar não funcionava e a televisão mal pegava. Como foram apenas 2 noites deu para relevar. O café da manhã é bem fraco e nem ovos oferece, apenas pão, manteiga e suco. Ele fica mais para dentro da mata bem no final da Monkey Street, o que facilita a ida à Monkey Forest. Há uma piscina no hotel, mas não usei. Então não posso avaliar. O staff foi atencioso, pelo menos. Mas depois de 2 noites no Indira consegui mudar para outro hotel melhor e mais em conta. Enfim, acredito que há melhores opções em Ubud pelo mesmo preço.
