The staff were so polite and helpful wanting your stay to be the best. The hotel is set back from the busy-ness of Ubud but close enough to still get around. Only challenge is the traffic but think that’ll apply to any hotel in Ubud. There are lots of nice restaurants right near the hotel also. Luxurious hotel, beautiful scenery. Lots of veggie options, lovely daily yoga.

This resort is absolutely gorgeous! We loved the included breakfast with tons of options. The views of the jungle and rice terraces were stunning! There is a free shuttle to take guests to Ubud sites. Also, the staff is wonderful and room service is quick. Every staff member knows your name and are beyond helpful. We booked an 8 hour excursion through the hotel and our driver was an English speaker and shared everything about the area, local living and traditions. In addition, the pool is gorgeous and inner tubes are provided. This is our favorite hotel in Bali!

Wow - staying at the Bisma Komaneka exceeded our expectations. The staff are so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Its location is perfect; within easy walking distance of Ubud’s centre but backing onto jungle so there’s zero noise. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and had a large balcony with jungle views. We also highly recommend the free early morning yoga class before a delicious breakfast.

Komaneka at Bisma was the perfect hotel for our stay in Ubud. Tucked away off the main road for seclusion but very close to all the restaurants and shops.
Our room was just amazing and we had the best view that we have ever had from any hotel room in the world. The hotel views and surroundings were just mind blowing. Breakfast was superb. The staff were so attentive and super nice. We just had the best time. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Komaneka at Bisma is a wonderful property in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Yet, you would not know Ubud was so busy when tucked away in this hotel. It sits in the back drop off the rain forest providing a pleasingly tranquil setting. The staff and service are exceptional, attentive to your every need. The restaurant also has delicious food. On my last day at the hotel, the staff personalized my cappuccino - a testament to their wonderful service; and a sweet gesture which made my stay extra special.

Loved the gorgeous jungle setting. We had a 2br Villa which was great for our small group of 3. You feel immersed in the jungle yet there are many restaurants and spas on Bisma street as well as an easy downhill walk to Monkey Forest street and Yoga Barn. I preferred this location over the more remote Komaneka Tangayuda location where I stayed in 2016.

This property has my heart. Beautiful, clean, space for walks, beautiful pools, it’s own rice field, chapel, exceptional staff. Such a great place to relax and enjoy Ubud. Close to the center but also in a more quiet area. The staff makes it even better experience, kind, friendly, helpful and serving. Breakfast in the pool is a must. We missed one breakfast, just slept in and staff noticed our absence, and asked if everything is alright.
Definitely would love to come back.

Property needs a major facelift… very old and needs to be painted n renovated. The walls in our room were dirty, the ceilings as well looked molded in certain areas. Holes in curtains. I wasn’t pleased coming from the resort previously. The staff and their kindness is unmatched. Very precious people!!! Food was good for breakfast as well. The property itself wasn’t worth the money in my opinion

It was a wonderful stay. In fact, we liked it so much we extended our 4 days stay here to 6 days. We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the rice fields. Beautiful and serene. Huge balcony with a table and two chairs, a swing and a sofa. The room was huge with two twin beds next to the other (though the size if the twin beds seemed small - perhaps two double or one double and one twin would be better). There is a huge desk, chair, sofa, lounging chair, lots of space and furniture to feel comfortable and homey. Closet and room fir the luggage, separate shower and bathtub (the shower could have an extra handle for easier cleaning and not just a rain shower). Floor was a bit slippery in the shower so i showered in my rubber slippers. Water, cookies given daily, and ice as well. Their body lotion, i loved too. Delicious tea time and breakfast daily can be served in the room both complimentary. Perhaps, muesli and oats should be added to the breakfast menu (i did request oats one day and they made it but it’s not in their current menu). Dinner was okay..had pizza, salads, and an Indonesian dish. Rooms cleaned well. Pool and grounds beautiful but lots if stairs. I have a knee problem so stairs are not recommended fir me but just to get to the bottom pool and spa you must take stairs. It was also hard to get in snd out if the pool cuz no proper entrance just one or two big steps. Nevertheless, I enjoyed swimming in the pool 5 days in a row. I would stay here again.

This resort made a perfect holiday for my family.
I read other people's review before choosing this resort, and they were all correct.
Serene, clean, convenient, yet not too remote.
Of course the best thing was the kind and helpful staffs.

I had a beautiful stay at Komaneka at Bisma. The place was beautiful and most comfortable. The service was also excellent. Special mention to Kadek, who was very welcoming and attentive. The staff was always checking in on our needs and wants. It was also a very nice gesture to offer complimentary tea break to guests.

My only suggestion is to expand the breakfast menu a little, or offer a change in menu every few days. The food is delicious, but guests who stay longer may like to try different stuff.

Our stay at Komaneka was brilliant. The suite was very comfortable and the service was top quality - all staff were so friendly and helpful with big smiles and attention to detail. Words cannot describe my experience here. I have been lucky enough to travel the globe and stay in some of the finest hotels out there, however my breath was taken away here - by far the best experience of my life.
The hotel is gorgeous, only a 10 min walk from the main Ubud strip, but is set on a hillside into rice fields and a jungle. The pools are fantastic, especially the infinity - looking at it from the restaurant or the lobby area it looks like the pool is going into the jungle like a bridge from civilization into nature.
The breakfast and food / drinks in general were outstanding, even having a comprehensive set menu for breakfast with guests able to choose out of the great choices.
The room was out of this World, a large 88m2 space with a huge bed, sofa, Apple TV, a large independent bath tub, a huge Italian rain shower, a walk in wardrobe. The attention to detail here was incredible; delicious cookies to devour in the room (refillable), anti-mosquito spray (made from natural ingredients), hand sanitizer, rose petals on the bed, a personalized hand written welcome card, a organic locally ingredient-sourced lotion, amongst many others.
The grounds of the hotel are a treat, with lots of see and walk, beautiful vegetation with an embrace of nature.
Last and the most important for me, the staff - I have had the best customer experience of my life. Everybody were so friendly, welcoming me 'home' after my daily walks, so attentive and kind (special thanks to Ade).

An experience to cherish. The members of staff were like a family and they certainly made us feel part of their family. A genuine and sincere warm welcome. They welcomed us “home” every evening. We’ve never felt so welcome to any hotel. The hotel was also beautifully positioned on the edge of the forest. The room was enormous and by far the best room we’ve ever stayed in. We booked this hotel for the central location and walkable to key sites. The room and hotel was so special it made us want to stay at the hotel rather than explore Ubud. The sounds, around the hotel grounds, were truly mesmerising and made us feel we were a million miles away from anyone. The massage was wonderful and the spa is beautifully positioned over the river - sound of water as we had a massage was amazing. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Plenty of choice and the papaya juice was delicious. Thank you for precious memories.

How could we not love Komaneka Bisma. The front desk staff were incredible with my child, allowing them to feed the Koi on check in; the highlight of their stay, I'm sure!

The rooms are spacious, stylish and it would appear that all offer amazing views of the valley. I've travelled extensively and this is by far, the most relaxing balcony I've lounged on.

F&B options are fair. We would have ate here more had the menu been more extensive. A few kids options - easy enough to do, and we might never have left.

Overall, an amazing stay and we look forward to returning the next time we're in Ubud.

Febi and the rest of the staff at the front desk, cleaning, and concierge were wonderful about helping us plan our day trips, and find the best places to eat nearby. The location is right in the center of everything but still offers you a quiet oasis. You’re also near the monkey sanctuary within a five min walk, and you’re also ten min walk to the Ridge.

From arriving at the hotel everything was perfect. It's set in a beautiful location, very quiet but walkable access to the main streets. We had the private villa and it was amazing. Such a beautiful view and the infinity pool was a perfect place to cool down. The breakfast is very nice and the staff are excellent. The room was cleaned twice a day and the pool every day from what I saw.

Where do I start? The best hotel experience ever

The photos of that infinity pool certainly looked nice when we made the booking. However, when we arrived for check in and we made a slow walk to the edge of the balcony overlooking the rich green of the trees and rice fields, we were utterly lost for words. This stunning scenery was also reflected in that infinity pool. Five minutes later we arrived in our room: beautiful as well, with a large balcony looking at that exact scenery! Follow this up with an incredible breakfast every morning (the menu changes day to day), including a \"floating breakfast\" in that infinity pool (!!!) and the warmest staff you could possibly imagine, and there you have it: my wife and I agreed this was the finest experience we've ever had in a hotel. The location is also ideal: just off the long stretch of narrow road called Jalan Bisma, packed with a classy and diverse line of cafes, restaurants and stores. A 15-minute walk will get you to the main market area of Ubud, and 15-min in the opposite direction will get you to the Monkey Forest. And despite its location, the hotel itself is like a quiet oasis. A special mention also of Doni: he has been working at the hotel for 11 years and was an absolute gem of a human. He picked us up from Depensar airport and the following day, gave us a tour of Ubud's main attractions. We will most certainly be coming back to Bali and Komaneka at Bisma will be seeing us again.

This place is amazing! Location is great, food/breakfast was delicious, and staff is so kind. They remembered our names and always said “welcome home!” whenever we returned to the hotel. The only thing I think they can improve is the lighting inside the room. After sunset, the room gets quite dark, very few lights or lamps. Waking up before sunrise made my makeup routine a little tough as well. Other than this little detail, everything was great!

We would highly recommend Komaneka at Bisma. The hotel is beautifully integrated into the jungle surroundings with great views overlooking the pool and outdoor areas. The included breakfast was excellent and they even have a complimentary afternoon tea time. The room is luxurious with every possible amenity they could provide. It's like your home away from home. All of the staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to serve in anyway they can. The location being off the main street makes for a nice peaceful and relaxing stay. With that though, is a bit of a walk to get into the main part of town. They do offer a free shuttle. My only real disappointment is that their spa prices are outrageous. The spa is nice but I wish their prices were a bit more competitive as it isn't worth it compared to other spas in the area.

This is an unbelievable property with excellent service. The prices are extremely competitive given the star rating and the amenities and experience provided. My only tip would be to improve the quality of the WiFi as it is often weak in various locations around the hotel. Otherwise this was perhaps the best hotel experience I've ever had - and I've traveled around the world.

Wonderful service by gracious and welcoming staff

We really enjoyed our stay at Komaneka at Bisma. The staff and service were wonderful. Breakfast was great. The location is fairly good--only around .5 mile from the main downtown. Our room was spacious and very clean, and we had a wonderful view of the forest and grounds. We were provided with all sorts of amenities in the room, including lots of bottled water, umbrellas, flip flops, bug sprays, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. When we left we were given gifts of cookies in Balinese tins, and given beautiful sarongs as gifts for our anniversary we celebrated at the hotel. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Dreamy place

I loved my stay but the daybeds at the pool were a bit dirty... wished they cleaned and washed the covers more often. Except that I loved everything about the hotel and staffs were very friendly and nice. Great service.

If you are are looking for a place to stay that is a haven of peacefulness combined with the most attentive staff then I would strongly recommend this hotel. The hotel staff will become part of your family and truly does care for you and looks out for you. This is what makes Komaneka different than any other hotel I have stayed at across the world. Furthermore there is a great breakfast in a beautiful setting! If you are looking to relax and really nice afternoon tea... Komaneka truly embrasses the Balinese culture and will help make your stay in Bali that much more special.

Beautiful resort in a tranquil location. Very attentive, friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered. Rooms and linen are very clean, spacious and well appointed. Extra amenities such as shopping baskets, thongs, sun hats, insect repellent were appreciated. 10 - 15 minute walk to monkey forest, shops and restaurants. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Great location - it was close enough to walk to temples, shops and the Monkey Forest Sanctuary, but felt like you were in the middle of the jungle.

I liked everything about this hotel! At first we were looking to book the Ritz Carlton and decided to save some money for shopping and get something less expensive. We felt as though we were at the ritz and four seasons! The attention to detail was amazing felt like a 6 star hotel!!!
Would highly recommend it!!!

This was one of our favorite hotels and we travel a lot. So close to the “downtown” area but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Rooms was amazing! We spent New Years here and it was a wonderful experience.

The Komaneka group are all good here at Bisma the stand out are the grounds.
The staff are great, the food is good, the pool \"for an aging lady\" was a bit difficult to get out of, but good. Needs better access.
There is a shuttle service but the timetable needs some thought.
Wi-Fi was very slow.
We will think about staying again.

Heaven in Ubud

An absolutely amazing place and beautiful people to look after us.
You cant help but relax here - the view and surrounds are beautiful
Our private villa with a pool was so luxurious it was hard to drag ourselves outside to discover more of what Ubud had to offer

Komaneka is amazing and the Rooms are huge. Calm serene settings and EXCEPTIONAL customer service. The spa was hands down the best experience. The staff fulfilled my every request and housekeeping is outstanding. You are in the middle of Ubud and everything is within walking/taxi distance. I highly recommend Komaneka at Bisma
