A few day stay on a long trip.

I dont think i could write enough. The staff were all extremely welcoming and always asking if everything was ok. Everyone knew our names and it was great to have that home feeling especially travelling with a less than 2yr old on such a long trip. The hotel is very well kept and you will even catch the groundskeeper sweeping up leaves each morning to keep a fresh look. You might catch the monkeys in the afternoon from the pool just make sure you have all of your things securely put away, the staff will make sure you are aware of this as monkeys dont listen. I give this hotel a top rank in my books as the staff aim to please, are very helpful, and will do everything they can to make sure you have what you need and enjoy your stay. We would definitely come here again.

From the moment Ari met us at the airport with cold towels, icy cold water and cookies, we knew we were headed somewhere special and we weren’t disappointed. This amazing gem of a resort is so conveniently located in central Ubud but walk down the driveway to be greeted by name and you step into an oasis of calm. Exceptional service, lovely suites and absolutely gorgeous gardens. This is not some large, flashy new resort and thank goodness for that. This is the real Bali and we felt privileged to call Komaneka home for our 2 week stay. Thank you to all at Komaneka at Monkey Forest, we will be back!

What a beautiful property. We loved everything about our stay. The staff, the room, the view over the rice terrace. The restaurant served amazing food, we didn't want to leave. The position in Ubud on Monkey Forest road is the best. We usually stay a bit further down towards the forest but will be coming back here next time. Loved it all.

Amazing honeymoon hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was INCREDIBLE! This was the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in, not just because of the beautiful villa in the jungle with its own room, but because of the amazing people who work here (especially Ade at the front desk). Every time we walked in, they knew us by name, and were so kind to us! They even remembered I was a vegetarian every morning at breakfast. The room was beautiful, we loved the included breakfast, and the afternoon tea time, and we were so sad to leave! Would recommend this to everyone, and would definitely stay here if we ever came back!

The suite was fantastic. We really loved the private pool, rain shower, and bathtub. It has mosquito netting all around the bed.

The service was top-notch with Ade and Ari looking after us. Ade actually helped us replan our itinerary and connected us to a great private driver called Tutna.

We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

What an incredible place to stay, right in the heart of Ubud but you feel like you’re out in the country. The room was perfect and comfortable, the food at the restaurant was amazing, we had wonderful massages in a serene setting by the rice field, the pool was beautiful with monkeys in the trees, and the staff could not have been more friendly. I hope I’m fortunate enough to return one day.

My friends and I spent 6 nights at this property and loved every minute of it! The hotel is in the center of Ubud, a great location to visit other sites in and near Ubud, on foot or by car. Numerous taxis were available. The grounds are beautifully maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and lovely. I appreciated the free bottles of water provided. The staff was exceptional. They greeted me and my friends by name every time they saw us. They made us feel so welcome. I went to the spa for a wonderful massage. I went to the pool every day and marveled at how beautiful the surroundings were. The food in the restaurant on the property and the food served at the pool was delicious! I also enjoyed the soothing background music at dinner. And all of this at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend this property!!

If I could give this hotel 1000 stars I would.
What a beautiful property and even more beautiful staff. There was not a single employee that didn’t say good morning, afternoon, etc, no matter how many times we would cross paths.
The check in was amazing, they explained everything about the property and even gave us a tour of it.
A hand written note by the staff members was left at our room alongside rose petals for my wife and me on top of the mattress.
Pool was fabulous and we even saw monkeys around it (watch your stuffs while in the pool), monkeys will get them.
Hotel was located next to a bunch of restaurants, souvenir stores and 5 minutes away from the Monkey Forrest.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Ubud, but far enough back from the road, so no traffic noise at all. Friendly staff and lovely tropical gardens. Breakfast was nice enough, but could do with some daily specials or a bit of variety. Very comfortable room (and bed). Recommended.

This is a wonderful property with staff to match. It is centrally located in Ubud but set back from the road so it feels very peaceful. The pool is excellent overlooking the forest and the rooms beautifully furnished. The staff are all excellent, they could arrange everything I needed for my stay and were friendly and charming without ever being intrusive. This really made me feel at home.

Beautiful property located in the middle of Ubud, but you wouldn't know it because it's set back in a very peaceful area down a long driveway. We had the most amazing experience at Komaneka Monkey Forest. The staff was incredibly friendly, responsive, and accommodating. They were patient with all of our questions, provided information when we needed it and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.
Our spa experience left us at a loss for words. We felt totally spoiled and pampered.

We were so impressed with every staff member we came across and will definitely be back. Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Rooms are spectacular with private infinity pool , huge bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and giant free standing tub. Breakfast is super yummy and so is dinner. It was a wonderful stay! Perfect location, cozy and intimate little hotel with only 22 rooms. The room we booked was definitely not small though! It is quite a bit bigger than what it looks on line. The staffs greet you by name coming and going. Even though this hotel is small, Komaneka is actually a chain hotel with five locations so far and not a mom and pop operation. It is very well run. Our package include a cook-to-order breakfast and an afternoon tea. They also have 24 hours room service. There are numerous restaurants and shops close by. The hotel can book transportation for you too. You can walk to the Monkey Forest turning left and to the Palace for dance performance turning right. There is a Monkey Forest shuttle going around too if you don’t want to walk. We did not try the shuttle since the traffic gets a bit busy and Monkey Forest road is one way. It’s probably faster just walk. I especially want to give a shout out to Dewi. She could not do enough for us and was so so sweet! This little hotel made our Ubud visit even more wonderful!

The property is beautiful and perfectly maintained, and the food at their restaurant is also very good. The location is right in the center of Ubud and a short walk from the Monkey Forest, which we visited multiple times. I can honestly say I've never experienced a level of service like at Komaneka, it really stuck out to me as something special and made our trip to Ubud/Bali extra sweet! This is my second visit to this property and my fourth with the Komenka group of hotels.
This hotel provides a sanctuary from the chaos of ubud streets. Although located on monkey forest road once you walk down the driveway the noise simply disappears it is so tranquil. The property is set amongst lush gardens. My suite was lovely with fully enclosed and private garden courtyard. Everything has been well thought out with every amenity you could think of right at hand. Loved the bath in my ensuite. Turn down service still exists here and is beautifully done. Finally the staff with whom the experience is complete true Baliense hospitality is on display at all times. This is a hotel brand you can absolutely trust and I very much look forward to my next visit.

From the minute we arrived to the time we left all members of the Komaneka team made us feel part of their family whilst always being extremely professionally. This was our first visit to Bali and everything was faultless - the food was excellent, pool area very relaxing, all staff at reception were very helpful and even got up early to say goodbye as our taxi was collecting us at 6.15 in the morning of our departure. My wife was very impressed with the spa treatment she had during our stay. Whilst the hotel location was only minutes from the busy main road you felt like you were in your own oasis when you walked through reception.

Wonderful hospitality from Agung and his staff. Everyone was helpful and kind. The room we had was spacious and immaculately clean. The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom!

First time here in my many visits to Ubud. Very comfortable room. Great breakfast and afternoon tea, the most amazing staff hospitality by far in my many visits to Bali and most importantly conveniently located to nearby restaurants, market and major Ubud attractions

Exceptional hotel in heart of Ubud.

This is an outstanding boutique hotel located in the heart of Ubud. The staff is amazing, incredibly attentive. When did you ever stay at a hotel where they washed your car, or a gardener helped you carry something just because he wanted to help? The location is in the center of Ubud close to all the shopping and activities, and yet once on the property it feels a world away. The villas are awesome, spacious, beautiful, peaceful and unique. We would not just recommend this location but put it near the top of our list of great small hotels.

Great stay at Komaneka Monkey Forest

Centrally located for restaurants, sights, etc. Wonderful staff kind and attentive and informative. Free activities included yoga, woodcarving, visit to museum owned by hotel owner, best private collection in Bali. Good pool, great breakfasts, free shuttle anywhere around town. There are four hotels of the same name, but Monkey Forest and one across the street have the best location.

You cannot get better that this.

Komaneka was the best experience I had in Bali. Service in impeccable. Staff will know you by a name and will go out of their way to accommodate you. When you stay at one komaneka you are able to use the pool and facilities of other komenaka locations. You will feel like part of the family. This was truly a great experience.

Nice hotel well located in Ubud.

We stayed at Komaneka at Monkey Forest in room 211 from 9 to 13 October 2017. The hotel is extremely well located (no more than a 5-10 minute walk to either end of the town). The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast every morning was great, and huge, and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea.

Our only complaint was that we had an ongoing ant, and occasional other type of bug, issue in our room. It wasnt anything extreme, but there was consistently a few ants, often on the bed. When we raised the issue with the hotel they were extremely cooperative with cleaning the room again and remaking the bed, but the issue persisted during our stay. This seemed to be partly due to the bathrooms not being fully enclosed, but partly open to the outside (there was a 1-2 inch gap between the sun roof and the wall which in areas was covered by mesh screening and in other areas by chicken wire), which seemed to allow bugs in.

I would still recommend the hotel as it was a very nice stay. One tip, skip the full board option and get dinner at the numerous excellent restaurants in Ubud.

Splendid week away at Komaneka at Monkey Forest

My friend and I decided to take a holiday to Bali and noted Komaneka was available -- we left it to late to book and we couldn't be happier with the chosen resort. The staff were all extremely helpful, courteous and made sure our week's stay was enjoyable and peaceful. We will be going back again.

Beautiful grounds, gracious staff,in heart of Ubud

Walk out of the hotel and you are in the heart of Ubud, with lively bars, live music, great restaurants. The hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful. The breakfasts are included and are wonderful. We ate dinner there our first night and it was an excellent gourmet meal, the best of the trip I think. The room is very large, although a little dark. One especially nice touch is that upon arrival your bed has been decorated with rose pedals in the shape of a heart.

Magical

This place is absolutely magical. We travel frequently and always stay in very reputable hotels. This hotel by far exceeds all your expectations. It is charming, has impeccable service and the staff remember each guest by their first name. If you have special dietary requirements they give you a special menu with your name on it and only items that meet your requirements.

Breakfast and afternoon tea are included with each room even if you ask for it to be served in your room there is no additional cost.

The view of the rice field is so relaxing. I cannot compare this place to any other hotels. We visited the Four Seasons in Ubud during our stay and thought this hotel was ina nicer setting and more personable.

All that being said, if you are looking for a commercial hotel in a high rise this is not a place for you.

Will definitely return.
