We were very disappointed with our stay. The first room did not match the description, which stated it would have one king bed; instead, two twin beds were pushed together. When we raised this concern, the staff were friendly and moved us to another room. Unfortunately, in the second room we were shocked to find feces stuck on the outside of the toilet bowl, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. After complaining again, we were moved to a third room, only to discover that the air conditioning was not working. Although the staff promptly cleaned the bathroom and were polite throughout, by that point the situation had completely ruined our overall experience.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very welcoming and ready to help with whatever we needed. The breakfast was great, we tried the scrambled eggs, the vegetable omelet and the breakfast bagel which were all very yummy. The location is perfect, within walking distance to restaurants and lots of shops. The property is gorgeous and I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and quick to respond, and the room was comfortable. The room was spacious and the balcony was lovely and relaxing. We had an amazing stay at the Ubud Village Hotel - the rooms were amazing, the location was right in the centre of town (but you wouldnt know it from your room or the pool - which was an oasis). The staff and food and cocktails were also amazing. Equiv to a 4 star hotel at home for a quarter of the price - will stay again.

We were very happy with our room, which was large, beautifully designed and with a balcony overlooking the pool and a view of greenery - set well back from the road at the front of the hotel, the room was very quiet.

Breakfast was a very welcome surprise, because when we told the servers we were vegan, we were presented with a vegan menu with five great options, including three local dishes. My one recommendation to the hotel would be to include the vegan menu with their general breakfast menu, as we got some jealous looks from other guests.

Staff were lovely throughout and the receptionists were so welcoming!

Right in the middel of Ubud and handy for exploring. Staff are all lovely, v friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Our room was lovely - air con fab - balcony beautiful. We have stayed here several times and if anything the service has got even better. Our fave stay is the rooftop villas but that was fully booked this time so we could not get in. There is also a lovely rooftop space for chilling and reading as well.

Had a wonderful few days stay at the Ubud Village Hotel.The hotel location is ideal for Ubud, central to everything and a good location to explore further afield which we did on motorbike.

The hotel facilities are great and our breakfasts each morning on the open terrace were a special treat. Our hotel room was spacious, clean and well maintained and that bed! Oh so comfy!

What really made the stay special were the amazing staff, from the fantastic check in to the warm goodbye, everyone was friendly, attentive and welcoming.

Our family enjoyed this hotel. Although it is located on the main road, once you step onto the property, it is extremely quiet. The interior of the hotel felt like being outside, yet the rooms were large, comfortable and modern. The pool area was relaxing after a long, hot day of exploring. Every member of the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The complimentary afternoon tea was a wonderful addition. The location was great for exploring the town and a short walk to the monkey forest. Lots of restaurants and lounges within walking distance, as well as quality restaurants on site. Highly recommend.

First experience UBUD VILLAGE HOTEL

I booked 2rooms : 804/802 for 5 paxs . Rooms looked dated.Toilet although cubicle, water seeped through under door and always wet the toilet floor. TV is museum piece with limited local channels . Internet is erratic. Inside room : ONLY WIFI , no data signal. Room 802 air-con was not working well. After 3 feedbacks and visit by technician, finally cooler but still not normal. Since full booking : did not move to rooftop suite. Location wise is good , within walking to all places. Breakfast is semi buffet( main course - per order), relatively cheaper than eat out but food wise below average. Bread was hard/ coffee low quality. Friendly staffs and prompt action for room slippers & more water. The bed and blanket 3 stars standard type

The area around the hotel is very dirty and scummy with taxi mafia and beggars following and harassing you as soon as you leave the hotel. Trashy and filthy throughout. When we asked to cancel the rest of our stay because we felt unsafe and unhappy the reception lady crossed so many boundaries in her questions and “advice” to us, very inappropriate and poor training on customer service etiquette. The Ubud village hotel is dark and puddles throughout, spiders and large ants and mold in the bathroom, shower door doesn’t close properly. Halls smell like warung cooking. Breakfast pastry are cold.

We loved this hotel from the moment we stepped foot in it.
Greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff and a delicious welcome drink, the wonderful Dewa informed us that we were getting a room upgrade and showed us to our suite. Dewa was so helpful and always greeted us by name when we saw him everyday. Thank you Dewa.
The room was perfect! A spacious, clean and tastefully decorated room ( seperate lounge and TV area, TV in bedroom area too, with a beautiful large bathtub in the also spacious bathroom.
There were outdoor lounging areas off the bedroom and lounge which made the space even better.
The location is right on the main street so it was perfect for exploring, shopping and dining on foot.
A very special touch was the free afternoon tea on the roof at 4pm everyday. Delicious food with a lovely view of the surrounding lush gardens and on a clear day, the volcanoes.
I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ubud.

Located in the middle of a busy street so easy access to restaurants, convenience store, souvenir stores, pharmacy, starbucks, tours. But very quiet inside. We had a villa (a gate opening to our own courtyard, and then to our room) on the fourth floor. Huge space for three of us. Room design is Balinese. My only two negatives is no microwave, and the pillow smelled like it was washed and not properly dried so mildewy. Otherwise, a great value.

Lovely property that is in the middle of Ubud, among the bustle of bars and restaurants. We stayed for 2 nights and extended for one more night. We did not have a scooter and it was perfect for us to walk around everywhere in central Ubud. Every staff we encounter was kind, helpful and friendly. I liked the general atmosphere of the hotel - which is spacious, breezy, attentive but not invasive. You would not get the typical ricefield view or jungle view, but this hotel is super convenient and clean so I recommend it to anybody who would like to enjoy Ubud fully!

We stayed for four nights as part of our honeymoon. Room was great. Aircon worked well. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help out. Pool was nice and drinks at bar by pool great. Only downfall was breakfast. No hot food on buffet. You could choose one dish from a menu of hot dishes and they were tiny. My husband was left hungry. Overall nice hotel, would stay again but go out for breakfasts rather than paying for buffet.

We had an amazing stay at the Ubud Village Hotel. it is in a great location, a little slice of understated luxury in the middle of Jalan Monkey Forest. All of the local experiences were in walking distance. We cannot thank all of the staff enough, they made us feel so welcome at every stage including reception, the pool, and the restaurants which offered great food catering for the European foods and local food choices. And of course the staff who took care of our room were amazing too. The boutique roof top terrace really is a beautiful added touch to the whole experience. The location is central and is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, monkey forest, Ubud Palace and market. The staff is friendly and attentive. The room is spacious.
The issue I have is that my room which is on ground level has a musky smell, especially the bed. This affects my sleep quality as a smell-sensitive person.
Overall a good stay for a night or 2 for the location.

Unfortunately our room was immensely humid and nothing seemed to get the 'wetness' out of it, hence we slept quite poorly. Maybe this was because we had an inward facing room. Otherwise nothing else to fault this hotel.
