Love the royal kamuela, this is my second stay and it’s clean, incredible friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is amazing, I can’t fault it. Our air con wasn’t working properly this time but they fixed it immediately and was perfect afterwards. Will definitely recommend and visit again

This property is outstanding! My four-day stay was absolutely amazing. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My villa was wonderful and sparkling clean. Amenities were great to include the cookies :-) Breakfast selection was huge and so delicious! The spa packages were great and the staff very professional. I also took advantage of the hotel tours, and Degla, my driver and tour guide explained to me the history of every place and the Bali culture very well. He even added one more stop to my tour where I saw how they made the Luwa coffee. Simply, this hotel is a gem and I could not have been happier with my stay. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Ubud, Bali.

Every single thing about our day was absolutely perfect. The staff was so fantastic from check-in to room service to Housekeeping to the spa to every single department. We had so much luggage. Those guys were so fantastic. Everyone at the restaurant was amazing. The breakfast was off the chart. The spa service was unbelievable and our room. What a pleasant surprise what a beautiful, outstanding fantastic luxury excellent room I don’t think we could ever stay anywhere else when we’re turning into Bali and we do plan on it. The whole experience of being at Royal Kamuela was faultless. Located in beautiful grounds the hotel is excellent value for money. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. The room was immaculate and situated with its balcony access to the pool. Massage was cost effective and expertly administered. Situated on Monkey Forest Road, Royal Kamuela is close to numerous bars, shops restaurants etc. This accommodation comes with our high recommendation. Paul and Sonja from Western Australia.

Everything was perfect. We felt so special on our honeymoon and were so grateful to everyone we had the privilege of interacting with was incredibly kind, patient, and very talented.

The spa was absolutely phenomenal. We had multiple services and our expectations were exceeded at every turn.

Breakfast was delicious every morning. The presentation of everything in the restaurant was beautiful and everything tasted better than it looked.

The room was immaculate. Very comfy and the bathroom was incredibly spacious.

This was an absolute haven in a crazy busy city. Though on the expensive side (you get what you pay for and you get A LOT), I can’t find one thing wrong with our stay. Beautiful accomodations and the private pool was actually private. Some people say that the private pool accommodations around Bali aren’t what they seem because while you only have access to the pool, people can actually see you in there from their rooms. This was not at all the case at this hotel and it was completely secluded from all other guests. Bonus points to the many monkeys that visit from the neighbouring monkey forest! We were considering going to the monkey forest, but found we didn’t even need to because they came to visit us at our hotel! Restaurant was 10/10, food was amazing, staff were amazing, and the view was amazing. Also cannot stress how quiet and peaceful it was. The pictures online definitely don’t do it justice one final thought, during our checkout they noticed we were leaving too early to have their complementary breakfast so they arranged for us to have takeout containers on the road!

This hotel is unbelievable! The staff, the service, the rooms and the restaurant are all above 5-star. We have been to 35 countries but this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at! And a great location walking distance from the monkey forest, palace, shopping and restaurants.

We had an amazing stay at Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites. Our villa came with its own private pool and felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of Ubud. The team even surprised us with a beautiful flower arrangement for Nush and me, which made the stay extra special.

Every morning we enjoyed their delicious breakfast before heading out to explore. The location is perfect — just steps away from the Monkey Forest, Yoga Barn, and plenty of incredible restaurants. We also had the chance to walk to nearby temples and even wander through the rice fields, all within easy reach.

The staff were attentive, thoughtful, and made us feel truly cared for. This was one of our most memorable stays in Bali, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

From the moment we arrived to the hotel to the morning we checked out everything at this hotel went seamlessly. Upon arrival, we were offered a complimentary 15 minute foot massage that we enjoyed after dropping our bags off to our room. This hotel has direct access to sidewalks down a very beautiful street with tons of shops that are filled with clothes and collectibles. Since the hotel rooms are far back from the road there is no noise at night other than nature noises. We were also upgraded to a room that had direct pool access, which was a nice surprise and so beautiful. During our 2 night stay we also booked a photoshoot through the hotel since you get one free digital photo for doing it. We ended up taking the package of 6 photos because they were so wonderful. Also received a 10% off discount on our first room service order. All in all this hotel lived up to its 5 stars. Highly recommend!!

Always a pleasure

A great adult only resort to stay at if you want to give yourself a special treat, as everything was laid on for you, and to a very high standard. The resort has large peaceful grounds, yet when you walk out the gate in are in the centre of Ubud. This was our second time staying here, and would highly recommend it.

This was our 2nd stay at this property. We enjoyed staying there so much that we came back. The first time we stayed in a villa. This second time we decided to stay main pool side and were upgraded to a room with direct access to the pool. Spacious and comfortable. Loved it. Btw this is an adults only hotel. Wonderful, huge breakfast with great coffee. We also had a very good lunch. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Location was very central but quiet. Will stay there again on our next trip to Ubud.

Best place to stay in Bali

I stayed at 5 different places during my trip and this was the best accommodation. It's in the center of ubud center. Meaning all the tourist attractions are in walking distance and lots of places for shopping and eating and spa! I stayed here while touring the area and went to another resort for just one night to see the iconic ubud view.

Stayed in a room next to the pool so I jumped into the pool straight from my room. Had very minor problems with the bathtub but overall it was a fantastic stay. I'm definitely coming back here if I get to come to bali again. I'm giving it a 10 out of 10.

The Hotel is in a superb location right in the centre of Ubud yet it feels like you are in the middle of nature.

The breakfast was excellent and the the staff at the breakfast bar were brilliant, professional, caring and extremely friendly.

I had an incredible stay all around. Very comfortable beds and linens! The suites are spacious. The staff was the best thing. The entire staff made me feel incredibly welcome, pampered, and taken care of. I wish I could name everyone! Sinta in dining, and AYU in spa names come to mind. But i regret not having others names too of mind right now. I almost never write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled because of my extraordinary visit. The general manager was amazing along with the person who picked me up from the airport-their names are escaping me. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel.

A slice of heaven in central Ubud.

Just checked out of the Royal Kamuela. What a stunningly beautiful place to stay. So tranquil despite its close proximity to the Main Street and lots of places to shop, eat, drink. It's heaven. The suites are so big and super comfortable.

Fabulous, luxurious place. Wonderful staff. They even clean your room twice daily! Villa complex just off main street but in a quiet, green, lush, secluded area. Rooms wonderful with massive beds lots of TV channels and excellent wifi. Breakfast by the pool is fantastic. Can walk to all the cafes, restaurants, bars Monkey Sanctuary and temples. Everything of a high standard.

The property is very beautiful, very clean and well maintained. . We stayed in Villa 1 right near the reception area with a private pool. The staff is super friendly, and courteous. All the staff members are very attentive to our needs. Every staff members say hello when they see us during our 4-day stay and paid attention to every small details (e.g. remembering our name and villa number).

The restaurant on the property, Shrida, serves excellent dishes and the staff there are wonderful. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant because the food and service staff are excellent.

The property is located right off the main street in town and is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants in a lively area.

The transportation service, and local tour packages offered are excellent and reasonably price. We booked a full day tour that included visiting the nearly monkey forest, rice fields,, coffee farm, temples, and water falls and enjoyed it very much. Our driver and tour guide (Wayan) was super knowledgeable, friendly and very patient in answering all our questions.

We took advantage of the spa package and had the best spa treatment on our trip to SE Asia.

Overall, we had a wonderful time and so glad that we stayed at the Royal Kamuela. We could not be any happier with the services. We would recommend this property without hesitation.

Hotel was steps from downtown. We stayed in villa 2 which had private pool. We were greeted by curious monkeys every morning.

The facilities were clean along with great tasting food. Bed was comfortable but only note was the sheets were a little stiff but not something that would stop me from coming back.

We also took advantage of the spa it was the best we’ve had during our tour through Thailand and Indonesia.

The staff alone made our stay memorable and would recommend.

Lovely location with an amazing staff-guest ratio! Our rooms were cleaned minutes after we left them! The rooms, themselves, were fabulous -- large and roomy, with a wide, spacious balcony overlooking the pool. We walked out of the hotel and could get drinks/ massages and shop. Everything was great. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Best hotel to stay in Ubud.

We wanted to visit a friend for a day and had to cancel a night at Royal Kamuela; we were able to do so with help from the sales and staff team. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Location was a big plus as good restaurants and spas were nearby.

The front of house team were amazing, helping us with excursions and trips with their local knowledge. Can recommend all the trips we made, Cretiya, Fire Dance, Sunrise tour, Jewellery making, Coffee plantation, for us the highlight was Purification Temple trip so profound, Suli made the experience so special. Food excellent, rooms clean, tidy and spacious, the Spa facilities and staff were so happy in their work its very infectious. 5 stars is not enough for this hotel

A great place for a luxurious and restful holiday. Close to the centre of Ubud, but due to the grounds being so large, you feel that you are removed from all the hustle of the town. A perfect place for a child free escape.

Wake up to monkeys 🐒 and enjoy their delicious breakfast selections. The fruit is so delicious. We did a couple spa treatment and it was so amazing and relaxing. The resort is centered perfectly to explore in either direction. Close to shopping, dinning and night life.

Great hotel with very friendly and courteous staff. The rooms are big and clean. We loved their floating breakfast (it was beautiful!). The room service was 24 hrs, and their food was delicious. We also liked how the staff would drive us (in a golf cart) to our room, since it’s a far walk and uphill. We loved our stay here and will definitely stay here again.
