Samhita Garden Ubud is a precious gem, a step back in time oasis only 300 metres to Ubud’s old palace (in the centre of town). Surrounded by restaurants, shops and galleries you can easily walk to the Monkey Forest and Art Market. Samhita is traditional in style - large rooms and suites which have been kept clean and well maintained. A simple but adequate breakfast is served every morning. The garden and quiet ambiance remind me of the best Bali offers a traveller. Genuine hospitality, a peaceful location and warm friendly Balinese staff. If you want an extremely well priced hotel with gorgeous gardens and comfortable private rooms then you will live Samhita Garden Ubud. We came for 3 nights but so wish we had been able to stay a week or two… maybe not now but we will be back later this year. Great for singles, couples or family groups looking for a traditional and authentic Bali hotel experience. Truly is an oasis in Ubud’s chaos.

A tranquil hideaway in gorgeous garden setting. Easy walk to main area with lots of eating options within reach. Noisy band nearby can disturb sleep though stops around 11pm Wasn’t aware of the flight of steps within the room

The resort is lovely and the gardens are very well kept, beautiful pool the resort only offer breakfast options no room service options offered.
There are lots of stairs and pathways that could be a problem if you had mobility issues or small children

Though the Villa is nice with a nice pool and gardens, the shower in my room was pretty awful. Very old looking shower with no water pressure at all. If you are looking for a power shower, this is not the villa you would chose. Staffs are so friendly.

We had 4 nights here, great position, very quiet once off the street, beautiful gardens, breakfast sufficient and if you don’t like Balinese coffee great little cafe next door you can grab a cappuccino to have with your brekkie, convenience store right accross from entrance and sone good restaurants very close by. Pool water Devine after a hot walk - Would definitely stay again

Easy walking distance to central Ubud

Great value. Villa was large and relaxed. Pool was fine. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. Its a pretty little place close to everything you want in Ubud. Maybe too close as there was noise at night from bars nearby.

There are a large number of hotels to choose from in Ubud. Like a lot of people we made our choice based on price and the pictures on the websites. It was an inspired choice. The hotel is in a great location, just a spit of the main road through Ubud and walking distance to the market and sacred monkey forest. Yet the place itself is an oasis of quiet in the centre of a crazy busy town. The gardens are lush and well landscaped. The rooms are large; breakfast is excellent. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The best bit was the staff who were pleasant and helpful throughout. No doubt about it we would stay there again if we are back in Ubud.

The property was gorgeous and well kept in addition to the rooms. We had a suite that was 2 floors and it was perfectly appointed.

Having visited Bali and several parts many times, my only complaint would be the level of service from the front desk. Specifically a young lady who was present upon check in and almost all other times. She appeared to be visibly annoyed or burdened during/by any interaction; checking in, determining if the room was available additional nights, having to run a credit card when she could see that we had a few dollars in cash, requesting a map, asking general questions regarding the map, etc. Simply put, it made us feel uncomfortable to “have to” interact.

Great location but inside our room is very hot Temperature only goes down to 25.5 degrees celsius and we stay in executive floor for the price you pay which we can adjust room temp. to go down a little more it is hard to sleep at night when the room is hot and we all sweat all nights .

An Amazing Place to Stay!

A beautiful setting in the middle of the action in the city center. A large comfortable room with a balcony and large bathroom. The staff went over and above on the last day of our departure. We were leaving before breakfast service started so they provided us with a fully stocked to go breakfast box. A small gesture that was greatly appreciated! Would definitely recommend.

The only downside is the loud music from a nearby bar 4 nights a week. I heard rooms at the back are quieter. Not the hotels fault.

I stayed in a pool villa and my travel companions in king rooms. The rooms were lovely and the grounds are beautiful.
I really enjoyed my stay at the pool villa but there are a few service improvements that would make a big difference to the stay:
- they must put some kind of blue dye in the pool to enhance the colour...It did not enhance the colour of the white top i wore in the pool!! Some warning would've been nice, or better yet no dye in the water
- the staff were lovely but didn't seem to know what most poeple expect in terms of service, the phone in my room didn't work (so couldn't call room.service etc) and the man just said he'd look at it tomorrow and never did
- we ordered room service...you get a limited choice from the cafe next door, there was not on site full room service menu, this isn't consistent with what is advertised on their website
- after room service at lunch time we went out for the day, leaving our key with reception, and came home on the evening to find dishes still on table, it's not hard to keep track of room service and clear the dishes, especially when guests are offsite
- toilet paper bins in bathroom weren't emptied often enough, each night they come in to close blinds and turn lights on, even take empty water bottles but not clear rubbish bin in toilet
- the breakfast is a simple western style breakfast, an Asian option would be great, we went out for breakfast after the first day even though it was included
All just minor & easy to improve

Samhita Gardens is a gem! It is intimate and friendly, with a beautiful lush garden setting and a great pool. We had an upstairs room overlooking the pool which was fantastic.

All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and are under the great leadership of Ina who ensures that you are well looked after. While some of the staff have limited English (which can only be expected as it is not their first language) they make every effort to assist.

The breakfast was lovely, ample, and with adequate choice
The location is great - on the edge of the main tourist hub of Ubud but far enough away to be relaxed. There are plenty of good restaurants, bars and massage places within the immediate area, and easy access to rice-field walks.

We highly recommend Samhita Garden Ubud and will definitely stay here again.

Worst hotel I can remember to have visited!

This place was unbelievable! Except the friendly staff there is absolutely nothing positive about this place.
Firstly there is a bar across the road literally next door that has live LOUD music (read rock concert) every night to 11 pm. So forget about sleeping until after 11.
The hotel is very worn down and lacks proper maintenance. The rooms/bungalows smells moisture and mold everywhere.
Breakfast is cozy but very very simple. Pool is ok.
We were a family of four with to children of 10 and 12. we booked the family suite and were given a bungalow with one king size bed and one portable bed! I mean come on! The minimum expected would be two double beds. When they change us for four adults!
This means if you for some reason book four grownup persons for a trip, three would have to sleep together!
And the worst thing was that it wasn’t a cheep hotel either!!
So for the sake of humanity pay some extra and stay at a proper resort/hotell.

Sådan et dejligt sted med den smukkeste udsigt fra altanen udover haven med fineste blomsterbuske og træer. Vi boede på et af de øverste værelser og elskede at gå ud på altanen om morgenen og drikke morgenkaffen.

Badeværelserne var lidt slidte, men kæmpestore og funktionelle og det havde ingen betydning for vores oplevelse af stedet.

Placeringen tilmed er genial fordi den er på en mere stille sidegade men alligevel tæt på den pulserende hovedgade.

Vi ville elske at komme tilbage!

3 jours dans une villa au calme avec piscine privée, tout était parfait. Piscine assez grande au soleil, équipement chambre parfait, literie de qualité. Un seul bémol sur notre séjour un petit déjeuner répétitif ; un choix supplémentaire au niveau des plats salés serait le bienvenue.

Gemengde gevoelens bij dit hotel.

Bij aankomst was de kamer nog niet gereed, we kregen te horen dat het nog een uur ging duren, 30 minuten na check-in tijd, hetgeen ik niet oké vind aangezien dit al pas om 14 uur 's middags was.

Het terrein en het zwembad zijn prachtig, alles wat je van Bali verwacht. De bungalows zien er van buiten ook prachtig uit. Het was erg rustig overdag, we hadden het zwembad vaak voor ons alleen.

We verbleven in bungalow nummer 15, met een groot tweepersoons bed en een twijfelaar voor onze dochter. De ruimte is ruim opgezet en je hebt een aparte ruimte met de wasbak, flink veel kasttruimte, gratis kluisje en minibar. Badkamer en wc waren verouderd. Wat we vervelend vonden was dat de douche op Indonesische maten was ingesteld, dus als je groter dan 1m70 bent, sta je niet onder, maar naast de douche, hetgeen behelpen is en onnodig hadden ze de stang hoger opgehangen.
Wat we echt een afknapper vonden, was dat er grote schimmelachtige vlekken op de achtermuur zaten, waarschijnlijk als gevolg van lekkage vanuit de airco. Onbegrijpelijk dat dit niet even schoon gemaakt of desnoods overgeschilderd is. Het verpestte echt het aanzicht van onze kamer.

Wat voor ons echter echt een afknapper was en waarom we de volgende keer in Ubud voor een ander hotel zullen kiezen was de enorme geluidsoverlast elke avond (di-za) van 20-23 uur van de live muziek van de tegenovergelegen bar. Het was echt heel hard en heel slecht, hetgeen het 's avonds buiten zitten verpest

Dejligt hotel med god lokation, god morgenmad, godt værelse/hus i to etager. Kun aircondition på 1. Etagen. Gode restauranter lige uden for hotellet. Undgå massagen lige ovre på den anden side af gaden - det er skrækkeligt.
Kvinden i reception fra meget hjælpsom da vores taxa på afrejsedagen ikke kom og vi skulle nå en færge. Hun ringede rundt og fik Samhita Gardens taxa chauffør til at komme hurtigt. Han var meget venlig og gjorde alt for vi nåede færgen.
