We ordered a room with 2 queen beds. When we arrived, me and my daughter we received key and being told we got beautiful vip specious room. We got to the room to find out there was a one king bed. When person who accompanied us was told thattwasn't what we ordered he contacted front desc and being told the hotel is packed and no other room is available. They tried to put additional temporary bed to accomodate us. It took 2 hours of stres being looked at like I was crazy refusing room which they assigned it to us, to finally be told they have a room with 2 queen beds. Shouldn't I receive what I ordered and was available at the time of purchase without any stress, I think I should receive what I paid for .

Just an overall great experience. The food was good-the Pizza Shop was awesome, same with Chopsticks. The buffets had plenty of options as well. The staff was super accommodating and friendly, especially Domingo! The beach was absolutely stunning and the pool area was massive.

The property was clean and not crowded. The food was excellent. We stayed there not for two nights prior to our cruise, so we didn’t have opportunity to explore too much. However, we do not think upgrading to the Sun Ckub was worth, compared to similar upgrade at one of Hyatt’s resorts in Mayan Riviera.

Amenities being replaced within requesting, food safety standards met in buffets, some staff understanding language barriers should not play a role in service. The grounds were impeccable. Most of the staff was pleasant, some not so much. I am from the United States, Chicago, very few people spoke or even understood English. That made it very difficult to communicate. at one point there was an area near your lobby that the grout was missing and I tripped and fell to the ground and scratched up my leg. I tried to tell the front desk, the problem, and no one understood me. I’m 66 years old so I hope you maybe look into that, it could’ve been worse for someone else. The room was fine, again language difficulties made it a problem to get information on your amenities. Your app was not working properly on my iPhone, so some of that did not upload and I missed some things to do. The Peruvian restaurant was my favorite, the food was fantastic, and the wait staff very pleasant. If it weren’t for the language, problem of not enough staff speaking English or even understanding English, and that includes your front desk, lobby people, I would love to come back. I came with my son, his wife and two-year-old grandson, who adored your baby pool, but he needed someplace to run around, and. Play. The children playground area was closed off. It would be nice if that we’re open for little ones to play on swing sets, etc. and not just always in the water or the sand. thank you for listening. Pamela Middaugh Donald.

Hands down most confusing layout I’ve ever seen in a resort. The staff was way less than inviting. Every time we ate we were half way done before getting our drinks. Just not fun vibe you usually get at resorts. Rooms were just ok. Restaurants were very good. Buffet didn’t have enough selections. Was just okay. I’ve gone to less expensive resorts with more fun and way better service.

The rooms need maintenance, the building also need maintenance, the room we were staying in had a roof leak.
had to relocate to another room. The whole resort needs to be upgraded. The staff and everybody in the resort was really great, they seem to go above and behind their job, that is what made the vacation.Our butler , Saul was the best. Even on his day off he was busy planning our day. He made the differance.

Room had nice view of pools and ocean. Pools were clean and grounds were very tropical and clean. The ocean was clear, clean soft sand beach, plenty of lounge chairs. Loved selection of restaurants and buffet always had good choices. Really enjoyed the nice staff and activities were plentiful for all age groups from kids to teens to adults. Had a lot of fun and enjoyed entertainment too. Room was average but clean. Would enjoy going again!

El hotel es muy bonito, las habitaciones como las áreas comunes han sido remodelandas. La comida es buena aunque el primer día que llegamos fue domingo y habían muchas personas que estaban ahí por day pass y la comida que les sirvieron era bastante mala, luego la cena cambio mucho tanto en variedad como en sabor y ya al día siguiente era una comida muy diferente. Por eso debes tener esto en cuenta si vas un fin de semana puede que te toque está situación. El resort es entretenido tanto en el día como en las noches música en vivo durante toda mi instancia. El servicio es bueno.
Lo único que no me gustó fue lo que comenté anteriormente, porque creo que es una discriminación a los Dominicanos que van de manera local y les sirven una comida que es la primera vez que veo una comida de tan mala calidad en un resort, he visitado muchos resoles más caros y más baratos que este y es la primera vez que me veo está situación

The biggest issue that made upset me was that I deliberately bought the VIP package so my kids can play at the lollipop arcade with a timed (1 hour) unlimited playtime. The staff said there was a disagreement between the hotel and the arcade and told us \"to come back tomorrow\" two days in a row. By the end of it, we ran out of time and never got to use the lollipop arcade.

Everything else was good. (Food, Service, etc) They have a very nice ocean view on the beach.

There was a small leak in bathroom sink that got on all the towels. Little things happen, but they fixed it right away - so no issue there.

When I was checking in, I requested the upgrade and they told me that I have to pay like 50 per person daily which is a crazy amount when I had thought that I was a VIP client! They talked me that Expedia didn’t communicate to them that I was VIP, clean room Now the hotel room itself it is a disappointment I am very dissatisfied with the room because I’ve never stayed in a hotel room that a bathroom is so small anytime I’m in the toilet I’m scared of getting hit by someone coming in and opening the door. The view was excellent, I want to say they promoted that there’s a 24 hour cafe with ice cream and there’s no ice cream. when we were leaving yesterday I believe they were bringing ice cream to the cafe.

Hay actividades para diversión . Yo participé en una fiesta blanca y otra que fue a la entrada del resort . Pero la música solo es dedicada para la comunidad argentina , que parece es el fuerte de los turistas en el resort , se le pidió varias veces al dj que ponga otro tipo de música para así ser más diverso , pero no tienen variedad . La comida es más o menos , nada que impresione . El staff atento .

We arrived at the hotel we were bounced around between different check in areas. After about 30min they told us we were going to be “bumped” to another property which was 15min away from where we were with the explanation that they had overbooked the hotel. We were not informed about this prior to arrival and were not given any opportunity to choose this option. After another hour of back and forth bouncing us between various people they allowed us to stay at the property we had originally booked which we agreed. They finally gave us keys to our room and informed us that they were going to “bump” the next people that arrived because of us. Our room was not an “upgrade” room even though we were classified as “SunClub” status. The facilities were ok but the food was the most atrocious and non ingestible we have ever been served at an all inclusive. The food options were extremely limited per meal. We were told we had premium liquor options but were never informed they were only available in the VIP lounge between 10a-10pm. Every other bar in this “inclusive” resort served what might be the most diluted alcohol from an unrecognizable brand. The $200 credit that was supposed to be offered to us had a ton of limitations and restrictions. The options were only available in set amounts but ultimately you’d have to pay to use the coupons. “All-inclusive” but seemed there was an unspoken rule of having to tip all the time at bars or you’d be ignored or given poor service.

In our room, the sink with sticky and the air was it was dripping down. We had to call maintenance. The tub was Glass was hitting each other like it was gonna break so I called down and they came up to repair it and my refrigerator didn’t have a bar across so you open enough if you put something there, things will fall out. I was not pleased with the place. No, I never go back and needs a lot of updates. they was not very friendly there was two people, though that I can go to and get the help that I need that was Lewis at the front desk and they call this young lady name machine she worked there did a lot of different activities. She was great.

We had a great time with our two daughters at Sunscape in May 2025. The food was great, I was a bit worried after reading all the negative reviews, which is the only reason why I wanted to leave a positive review as I thought they were unfair. all of the food in the Buffet and the two restaurants- tiki taco and Chopsticks was excellent, the food that they cooked on the beach tasted great as well. the property is very very clean and taken care of. The Staff was very pleasant and attentive, all of us do speak Spanish, so I’m not sure how it is for non-Spanish people. The kids amenities- the water slides, the playground and the kids club are awesome. The kids club had many fun activities and our daughter loved going there. The only downiside was that the beach does have rocks, plenty of them. So you will definitely need water shoes. You don’t be able to swim without them and it wouldn’t be safe. You can also walk to the Dreams with is 5 min away and se there, there are 0 rocks on their side. For me it didn’t matter that much, my husband was very bothered by the rocks. However, overall the hotel and the experience was great.

No me gusto para nada las piedras que tenia la playa que tenias q tener muchisimo cuidado para entrar, los niños no podian ingresar solos, deberian sacarlas porque perjudica la estadia muchisimo. Eso arruina la belleza de la playa.
El entretenimiento que ofrecian a diario era muy bueno y con muchisima buena onda.
La organizacion a la hora de la cena era bastante tediosa, ya que muchos dias no podiamos comer en ningun resto porque no habia lugar y entiendo q deberia estar preparado para todos los huespedes.

Long way at the main pool to get a drink, but in the lobby tap shelf drinks👍.
Beach with a lot of rocks in the water I would recommend to go to the right, 5 min walking distance thru the local beach store to get to super nice 🏖️ beach 🏝️ and smoke a good cigar. Seven of us got stomach aches possible from food.I will recommend to visit isla Saona with catamaran boat.

Muy bueno, deben mejorar la Limpieza e Higiene

muy buena la atención de las personas, ademas no se de desesperan por la propina (como pasa en otros hoteles de dominicana). El personal de seguridad muy atento a todo. La comida buena y variada. Muy entretenido los eventos que arman durante todo el día. La bebidas no es un fuerte del hotel, las gaseosas no tienen gas ni buen sabor, las sirven con poco hielo por mas que les pidas hielo extra. La limpieza de las habitaciones es excelente, no asi la del resto del lugar. Por ejemplo, usan el mismo trapo para limpiar todo, desde las mesas hasta el interior de las maquinas y utensilios de cocina o barra. Lo mas desagradable es ver al personal de cocina que va al baño con el delantal de cocinar, no se lo retira para ir al baño.

Great all inclusive!! The staff were amazing and they put so much effort into making sure guests were having a good time. This is a must stay if you have kids, larger group, want to have things to do all the time. I really enjoyed the hospitality. The Dominicans are very friendly, proud people. I enjoyed their interactions with me. The landscaping and the beach were beautiful. The restaurants served appetizing, delicious meals. The only downfall were the rooms. They were dull, no pictures on the walls. No storage for clothing, so I had to live out of the suitcase. Also, no hooks or towel rods in the bathroom as I don't mind reusing a towel once.

They treated me like a princess in this Solo trip. I loved it and will come back for sure. I do recommend paying for the sun club so you can be away from kids if desired. Thank you ❤️ Maria, Julio, Santo, Maria- and everyone else who were around for anything I needed. Pizza parlor opens until 1am so you can avoid the crowd and have a quiet dinner with the workers who are always friendly. Loved this place.

I didn’t like how the resort gave a hard time before helping. I had to tell the staff there several times I paid too much money to come there for them to not want to be more helpful. The balcony doors to the rooms didn’t lock. The internet was HORRIBLE‼️ The restaurants weren’t open for lunch. House keeping didn’t want to give wash clothes. The rooms didnt supply toothpaste. The kitchen looked like it needed work done to it. The refrigerator in the kitchen was a mini frig. As much money as my family pays to come there we couldn’t get room service unless we were V.I.P. I needed to make a call to my bank in the United States & the staff/manager gave me such a hard time helping. It was extremely frustrating. Overall it was the worst resort I’ve been to & I would not return. I also would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone‼️

The property was well maintained and gorgeous. Every staff person was welcoming and helpful. EVERY one of them. The restaurant options were plentiful. My son and I especially enjoyed the steak house and hibachi.
I read reviews about the water and rocks ahead of time so we brought beach shoes. Definitely made swimming fun.
Some of the food at the buffets were not hot enough but lots of choices so no big deal.

We spent 14 days at this resort. It was our yearly reunion, my birthday as well as my brother in law’s. We’re glad we chose this place. The beach was rocky but water shoes solved it for us. Our maid Carmen Santana was great! Came to clean our room and bathroom likewise refilled our refrigerator daily. Masseuse Orbida is very good that we went for another massage before we went home. Activities by the pool, beach, plaza and parties, dancing everyday. Shows at the theater also varies. As for the food, you’ll definitely find something to your taste. 2 buffet restaurants and several ala carte restaurants, not to forget the grill restaurant, snack truck and 24 hrs coffee shop. Bars everywhere! We’re well traveled, been to many all inclusive hotels and this hotel is worth it. You look for fun and enjoyment and you’ll find it.

Our 9th trip to DR. We can compare. This was average. Stuff used to welcome, smile, greet, help. Not anymore. Parks clean, room clean, one shampoo in shower, Ala card food good, buffet under average, entertainment good, beach chairs, towels terrible, need more towels maybe to clean and rotate, all beach chairs covered in the morning. coffee shop long wait, pool bar closing at 6, start closing-cleaning at 5. Not every bar has beer, some bar has sour beer. Sewer smell in dining areas. Lot of stones in the entrance to sea.

The property was in good condition. Two things I did not like was our room was not ready by 3PM as advertised. We did not get into our room until after 4pm. Additionally check in and check out took a very long time. If you could find a way to automate those procedures that would save time.

The other thing I did not like was how slippery the tile got when it was wet. I even fell my first day there. As it is a resort with both pool and ocean, I would think non-skid tile would have been used. Even in my room, if the tile was wet, it was very slippery. I had to buy band aides when I was there for $15 USD. OUTRAGEOUS!

Had a great time at Sunscape. Its my second visit and probably my go to place when I visit DR again. Had so much fun. Thanks to some people that made it great Isabel at the front bar she was great she knows so much. Elvin Rosa at the Choptic Restaurant he went over and beyond every time he saw me and of course the amazing people in animation specially \"La Maquina\" whom I met before several times and is always crazy fun.

So I recently stayed at the Sunscape and must say the stay was enjoyable from dining, to the pool, and beach. I have stayed at many all inclusive and must say I really have no complaints. Yes there are some areas that could use a face lift but I saw crews working diligently to make those renovations. Would I stay there again. Most certainly and the butler we had Jose was absolutely amazing from sun up to sun down.

Pretty good All inclusive.. from a 1-10 i would say an 7 or 8… staff gave it their all it was good cause they’re great workers but unfortunately they seemed to be low on staff at night specially for the restaurants, the beach was rocky such a shame with such a beautiful beach otherwise good

The constant walking back and forth from the bar and lobby to the beach and our room was way too much. The distance around the property is just shy of half a mile (.50mi). The room was full of ants. There was no room service. The servers were not attentive and seemed confused on what drinks were which for which tables and the servers took long to bring out drinks and attend. Mind you we tipped $1 every time regardless but stopped after the bad service continued. No A/C anywhere on property but the room and the sunscape VIP lounge.

This resort needs to upscale their food they are terrible, tasteless and not appetizing at all. The room we had toilet didn’t flush, the last night our room flooded with rushing water from who knows well we purchased the sun club and it did not make a difference only good thing of this resort is the beach and the coffee shop. This was our 35th wedding Anniversary celebration and it was horrible I do not recommend this resort at sll
