Quiet hotel in Villeneuve that is well located to walk into town. Also a great location to visit Avignon.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. They serve an excellent breakfast.
Parking is easy either in front of the property or in the surrounding area.

Lovely garden and patio. Huge room. Would have liked a fridge in room. Coffee and tea in room, but strangely no milk !
Had to go down to reception every morning. No ice machine either. Had to go down to the kitchen.
No elevator.
Very friendly accommodating staff.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood about a 10-minute walk from the shopping and dining district of \"new\" Avignon (across the river from the \"old\" walled city). Beautiful grounds and courtyard, peaceful setting, very helpful staff, and a diverse group of guests.Get a room with a balcony facing the courtyard/gardens if you can! It's not as convenient to the walled city but we had a car and drove to the walled city and surrounding cities with relative ease. The hotel was a peaceful respite at the end of a long day of sight seeing. Thumbs up!

The property has beautiful grounds. However, we were put in the older section which is decorated with French charm, but has not been kept up. We were two women traveling alone, and the room had a door to a patio that was shared with the next room and a staircase leading to the open parking lot. That door would not lock. It would appear to lock, but you could push it open from the outside. It did have a wooden shutter you could close, but it wasn’t that secure and they would open it when they cleaned the room. When the lock was brought to the staff’s attention, they dismissed the complaint because it “locked from the inside,” ignoring that anyone could enter from the outside. The room was listed as having a shower, so I’d expect some type of mount for the shower head, not just a tub with a handheld shower head. The tub faucet with the handheld head was adjacent to the vanity and had no curtain/glass, so water would spray your belongings on the counter. The tub and door in the bathroom had obvious mold and mildew. Additionally, upon arrival the clerk ran a 100€ deposit, rather than a pending charge, for incidentals and said the difference would be credited back. But at checkout I had to pay incidentals separately (the bill was wrong) & when asked about the 100€ she said he shouldn’t have charged me. Hopefully I get that money back. Finally, the food did not match the quality of other comments/reviews. It was mediocre at best.

The staff was outstanding. The desk clerk on duty when we checked in was gracious enough to carry a piece of luggage up a flight of stairs to our room. The hostess, Nathalie, friendly, professional and very kind. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Wonderful property, lovely spacious interiors, expansive gardens, and pool. Great neighborhood.

Beautiful room, lovely grounds, desk staff and dining servers were amazing--great for dinner. But don't yell at the guests for using a wine glass for a juice glass when you have no other drinkware available. The dining service manager was rude, pushy and she did not hestitate to come over to our table and scold me like I was a child. I'm 60. If I want orange juice, I'll use whatever drinkware is available, and if that's a wine glass, so be it. I'm a guest, not your employee.

This property is situated across the river from Avignon proper in Villeneuve. This town has a charm all its own with a great antique market on Sundays.
The hotel grounds and terraces could use a little love and upkeep. Our room was on the larger side as we booked to ensure this. While the bath had a shower attachment there was no shower curtain or door just the tub with the shower attachment. This is typical in Europe but, be aware if this is bothersome for you. A bonus in the bath was the heated floor. Also, the toilet is not part of the bathroom but across the actual living space so this was inconvenient especially at night. There is parking in a typically tight parking garage that you find around Europe.
The staff is lovely and helpful. Overall, we liked this property but would love to see the outside cleaned and tended.

This property was amazing. It is on the outskirts of busy Avignon. It is a short walk to mumerous cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff was extremely accomodating and cordial. Rooms were a good size and nicely appointed. Having the pool on the property with beautiful grounds was amazing. Breakfast was great with numerous options. If you want a quieter place just outside the busy city, this is your place.

A tranquil stay

This is a truly peaceful place. Rooms face a lovely garden large enough for strolling, tables, and pétanque. The hotel is a bit of a longer stroll to the old main center of Villenueve Les Avignon, possibly 10 minutes. We loved the Avignon on the other side of the river because of the quiet and lack of hustle and bustle that tourists bring to Avignon proper.

The room is a nightmare. It hasn't been cleaned properly and the furniture was old and full of stains. There was already a bad smell when entering the room and the first impression didn't get better. There was mold in the shower and the fittings seemed not been cleaned for ages. The toilet had staines and lime depositions. In the bathroom closets we found make up from guests before and a dirty towel. The air conditioning didn't work properly so it was quite warm in the room. The pillows had a very bad smell.The balcony looked as if it has never been cleaned. And this all in a so called \"luxury room\". Over all, very poor...

Lovely character building and very comfortable rooms. Big big wardrobes, working ac, shutters on doors, nice balcony overlooking pretty gardens, huge bed. English tv channels went down but don’t go there for the tv. Just 10 minutes drive to old town of Avignon. 5-10 minutes walk to delightful picturesque town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon- great place to eat outside with excellent restaurants, little shops and loads of charm. Perfect balance. Very happy. Great stay. Blonde staff lady brilliant great suggestions of where to go every day - really made the trip. Very pleased all round and would recommend

Hotel needs some tweaks to bring it up in the expe

The rooms at the Hotel are great but missing a few simple enhancements that would make a huge difference. Put in a small mini bar with tea & coffee making facilities. Sort out the TV and connectivity, as part of a larger group of Hotels & restaurants the choice of international tv was appalling. Staff seemed aloof when asking for advice in the local area, I appreciate its tricky when you have a restaurant on site but at least offer some suggestions. Bathrooms were huge but missing bathrobes and slippers, again small details. Location is great it’s walkable into town so easy to access. Would consider to come back but would hope these small improvements could be made to really wow the guests.

A peaceful, beautifully appointed hotel a short walk from the village centre, in the hills above. Very quiet, with its own pool and lovely garden. Excellent friendly and professional staff in departments. Food very good indeed - mediterranean in style and ingredients, just the right quantity, well thought out and carefulĺy delivered. We had the fixed price dinner,and there is also a la carte, which looks great but is beyond our price range. The village is just across the river from old Avignon, a short bus ride away. Plenty of excellent bars and very good restaurants in Villeneuve itself, which also has its own history and interesting ancient sites to visit. If you have a car there's lots to see and do in this beautiful part of France.

The hotel was not bad, but I was expecting a bit more from a 4* star hotel.
A few minus points:
- we didnt have a minifridge in the room, which consodering the hot weather in Provence is definetly a must
- sheets were never changed during our 7 day stay
- room was very dusty and not properly aired
- no bags in the trash bins, which makes it difficult to throw away fruit shells
- the toilet was ina seaprate room from the bath, which made it a bit wierd to use and them traverse the whole room to get to wash your hands

On the good side:
- location was good, 7 minutes walk to the shops and restaurants
- breakfast was ok compared to other places inthe area
- they have a really nice garden where breakfast and dinner is served

Charged twice, once by hotel, once by Expedia

First the good: The hotel is lovely and the staff accommodating and kind. I do not speak French but was able to communicate effectively... for the most part.

The bad: The hotel charged me for my stay AFTER Expedia had already charged me. The staff told me I would either have to wait for them to call me or I could call them if that wasn't convenient. I gave my phone number and email to the otherwise very kind person at the counter and waited. And waited. After several weeks, I have called a couple of times and been told the same thing: the person that can issue a refund wasn't there. Not sure whether or not to give up... but wish I'd had a different experience as the hotel is a beautiful place to be and I'd like to return.

Great boutique type hotel. Service was superb. Free on-site parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many choices of foods. The restaurant, though a limited menu, was delicious. They have a pool and a lovely garden.

Convenient Attractive Hotel

We received a very pleasant welcome,the room was spacious ,clean and attractive with a separate toilet as well as the bathroom suite.The bed was large and very comfortable.
We didn't avail ourselves of breakfast ,expensive at 16€ each when we normally have no more than a coffee and a roll ( I would suggest different tariffs ) ,or dinner although the latter had a tasty looking menu .

We loved the location of this hotel. It is in a nice neighbor outside the busy city of Avignon and very charming! We had a room with a large terrace overlooking the garden. The breakfast was fulfilling and we enjoyed it in the garden. Paul the manager is extremely nice and helpful! Very knowledgeable! And the employees at the front desk are just as charming. We liked the hotel so much that we now are staying in their property in Beaune which is just as charming. Great value for the stay!

After touring Avignon, we would recommend this hotel. Quick check-in, easy parking, and pleasant staff. We loved our room, with balcony and comfortable table and chair, overlooking a garden-like yard. The pool was lovely too.

Quaint gem!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds on which it sits, and wonderful customer service. If you don't mind a short, safe 10 minute walk to the main street, you will love this hotel. For 15 Euro, you can do the top 3 must sees (well worth it and I usually don't splurge) and they are all walkable from the hotel (figure 2-4 total miles depending on how much walking you do in each venue. One of the venues is just left when you get to the main road. Maybe .4 or less miles. If you make it your first of the three, you can easily get your bearings straight because you can see the 2nd and 3rd from this one (Chartreuse). I highly recommend this hotel and the big three.

Excellent Choice!

I have stayed in Villeneuve a number of times but missed this Hotel.I was really impressed. The rooms are very nicely appointed some with terraces overlooking the quiet garden . The staff are friendly and accommodating. The restaurant's ambience, menus and wine list were really good and excellently prepared and presented. The town is a bit of a walk 10-15 minutes. Avignon can be reached by car or Uber -across the river about a 10 minute drive.

Great setting - disappointed with the menu could be more in line with modern restaurants and not the same thing we were eating 20 years ago. The lounge looked as if it had been abandoned , very uncomfortable seating, bar closed and looked like a storeroom for children's highchairs. Not enough staff, probably because it was end of season. All in all we enjoyed our stay and our room was very good especially as it was a standard room.

A beautiful hotel and perfect location.

We stayed at the Najeti Hôtel la Magnaneraie during the Avignon theatre festival. While Avignon had a million in attendance for the festival, the hotel is located a quick bus ride away and was tranquil and beautiful. The rooms in the main building were spacious and charming. The garden was magic during the day and in the evening, a gorgeous setting for breakfast and something we all looked forward to. I would stay there again and again and highly recommend the this idyllic village and beautiful hotel.

Lovely physical plant, horrible stay.. service non existent..fron (t desk staff doesn't even make eye contact) .. especially at the restaurant.. ignored completely for 20 + mins .. then rude , cold waiter took order .. and it was forever to arrive .. I don't like to bash places .. but , this was the worst service I have had in along time .. and I would not waste the money ever again .. even if the property is pretty (and it is not cheap )..

Very Nice Hotel Far from Avignon

This was a very nice hotel. The staff was very helpful and most personnel spoke very good English. The hotel and the rooms were very nice and centered around a beautiful courtyard. Our room had a patio with table and chairs which would have been very nice if it had not been so cold outside. The breakfast buffet was acceptable, although we arrived one day 20 minutes before the end and all of the hot items were gone and none were replaced. This was odd since there was a 16 euro charge per person for breakfast. The Hotel is located in a small town, Villeneuve-les-Avignon, outside of Avignon. It is NOT within walking distance to Avignon. The taxi ride costs about 16 euro one way. We were under the impression that the hotel was within a 20 minute walk of Avignon. It is actually about a 20 minute walk to the bus to Avignon which we were told only runs until 7pm. If you do not have a car, plan on the taxi fares of 32 euro round trip. In addition, one cold night it took us one and a half hours to get a taxi back to the hotel. We finally went to the train station taxi stand but that was no quicker. The first taxi refused to take us because it was too far.

A Lovely few days

A long weekend to visit Avignon via the new Eurostar service from London St Pancras. The hotel was a 10mins taxi journey from Avignon TGV station and is located in Villeneave les Avignon town which is located outside of the \"Old City\" walls. You can walk from the hotel into the Old Town in less than 1hour (distance is approx 2 miles). The setting of the hotel is quite charming and the garden is a haven of peace and tranquility....The hotel staff are charming and efficient...and local restaurants can be found approx 10mins walk away....

Hotel was very nice, clean and has everything you need. The pool area is a great little sun trap but I was a little disappointed that the pool wasn't slightly heated as all the hotel details had said that it was. A short walk into Villeneueve, however overall a most enjoyable stay.

We found this hotel to be of a very good standard. The only thing was if you wanted a drink you had to ask at the reception because the Bar was not manned.

Good but not luxurious.

Not worthy of 4 1/2 stars. Closer to 3 stars. First room looked like something out of the shining. Shower head in the tub. Made a mess. Switched rooms after the first night which they graciously accommodated. That said, first room was really disappointing. New room was pretty nice. Wanted to eat at hotel restaurant one night. Was told they were full despite more than half the tables being empty. Lacked the elegance I was hoping for. Very reasonably priced but I guess you get what you pay for.

We had two great days at this place!
The hotel is rather small which gave a great sense of privacy- during the day and evening.
Amazing restaurant with an impressive wine list!
We came after most people for breakfast and there was nothing left which was disappointing.
Also the price to rent bikes was ridiculous given the fact that the hotel is 4-5 km from Avignon center.

Like walking into a cliché French Romance Movie. Not a bad thing!
Beautiful old building and lovely garden.
Restaurant delivers superb French Cuisine and benefits from an excellent Sommelier.
We stayed just the one night to get the \"real French experience\" to contrast our modern-generic hotel in Avignon.
Definitely recommend you do the same- this place delivers!!!

Very attractive oasis with every facility charming

My stay would have been perfect had not reception failed to co-ordinate my taxi pick up from Avignon TGV and if someone had known and passed on to me how the air conditioning worked -two simple things that spoiled an otherwise lovely hotel, and which didn't seem to concern management nearly enough. Delightfull restaurant room and pool.

Th hotel setting was lovely...stone walls, beautiful garden, nicely appointed dining room and reception rooms. Bathroom was not good because you had to sit in the tub and use handheld shower to take a shower. No shower curtain meant that you would spray all over. Hotel staff uppity and not helpful. No change (coins) available, no adapters, one tv station in english and it was from Japan. Internet went out for he better part o a day. All in all, not at all what is expected from a hotel in this price range. Would never recommend it.

Last stay in France before moving on to Spain . .

The Najeti Hotel la Magnaneraie was superb. This is a magical part of the area. I am so pleased that I selected this hotel for our stay in Villeneuve Les Avignon instead of staying in Avignon. This was our fifth place for lodging on our trip from Paris through Provence, and by far the most lovely. The setting was picturesque and the facilities were top notch, wonderful staff and not one thing disappointed.

excellent atmosphere

We stayed one night and wished we had stayed many more. The Hotel is the perfect location and the hotel atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing stay. The garden patio is amazing for all meals and rooms are real cozy with plenty of room for us.
Plus there is a beautiful large outdoor pool that we found very enjoyable. And it is not far to walk to the nearby square.
We recommend this Hotel to all travellers.
