Security code to get into building. Street parking nearby. The rooftop terrace is a huge plus, comfortably laid out with indoor and outdoor seating and a great view across the river to old Avignon.

15 minute walk into Avignon and about the same into Villeneuve. Everyone probably knows about Avignon but Villeneuve is the nicer and quieter location to spend an evening with many top class restaurants - try Flo's!

The property is basic but provides a good breakfast and an excellent roof top area for panoramic views and chilling outside. Some of the rooms are very small but we were luckily offered a free upgrade. A rail line runs next to the property and so could disturb if you are a lighter sleeper.

This was a wonderful budget hotel. It is located across the river from Avignon, but the roof terrace provides an outstanding view of the Pope's Palace. It is a 2 minute walk from 3 bus lines, allowing you to go into town or up to Villeneuve for the sights there. The breakfast was outstanding, both varied and ample. The air conditioning worked well, something important for the very hot days.

The rooms are very basic and small, however the mattress felt new and very comfortable to me, and has nice size balcony with great views over the river looking at the city. A nice variety on the breakfast buffet, and very friendly person at reception. Limited parking. Not bad for for that price!

Don't be fooled by the price

The review title says it all. Initially we chose this hotel based on price and parking and as such our expectations were not overly high.
Well, the receptionist was extremely helpful and explained the parking in the street behind the hotel or in the 2 bays at the front. Access after 8pm via a security code and breakfast on the 4th floor terrace. The quality, choice and quantity were all excellent as was the view from the terrace. The rooms were \"cosy\" but clean and everything worked. It was facing the river and had it's own balcony with chairs and a table. Great value, lovely managers (or owners) well worth the money.

Convenient for a one night stay as parking was free, hotel is a little tired and needs a refurbishment, i had a superior toom but not sure what was superior? Really hard bed, Empty mini bar, no kettle or tea / coffee tray. Didnt have breakfast as it didnt start to 7.45am
Great view of the river and city from balcony was the highlight

Nice Little Place in Avignon

This is a nice little place. The rooms are a little oddly shaped but everything is nice and clean. The bathroom was a good size. Two big bonuses are the mini fridge and AC that actually works. The rooftop terrace is really nice. The breakfast was ok. There was one person working the desk and the breakfast on the top floor so you had to wait a bit when the coffee ran out or you might have to move a tray to be able to sit down at a table. The walk is not bad to the old city, maybe 10 minutes. There is a very good seafood restaurant just outside the hotel. Id definitely go back, especially at the price.

Fabulous small and friendly hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast is great. Just a short walk over the bridge to Avignon so out of the mai hustle and bustle of the city. The best bit was the roof terrace...loved it!

The hotel room was a very good deal: about $70 USD for one night for two people during the X-mas holidays. The desk clerk was very likeable, and the room was clean. The hotel was just outside the old part of Avignon and is walkable to attractions. What didn't I like? (a) The hotel is not suitable for people seeking quiet accommodations because heavy traffic is nearby. (b) The hotel strikes me as a party hotel for people under 30, in part because there is a bar with a large courtyard in front of the hotel. (c) I was glad that my spouse was with me since I didn't feel particularly safe, because we were the only guests on the floor and because no desk clerk worked after 8:30 pm.

Very clean, friendly staff went out of their way to advise and assist. But it you want a good view with a river side balcony room, you must get a room one the second or (best) third floor, not the first. All guests get a super view from the roof balcony, open all day, and where breakfast is served.

Ideal for 1 or 2 nights stop over.

A nice hotel, clean and comfortable with friendly welcoming staff. Avignon centre about a 20 min walk away, but there are plenty of car parks which are easy access able from the hotel. No tea making facilities in room and breakfast is available at €9.50pp. There is no lift at the hotel and quite a few stairs to climb. Great view from room over the Rhone, but quite a lot of traffic. Not many places to eat by hotel.

It was a very good experience with the hotel. The owner tries to accommodate every single request including doing the laundry. The hotel is 5 minutes driving to Avignon and 20 waking. We did a good selection with this hotel that it wasn’t the center of Avignon but very close to the city.

We had a very pleasant 5 nights stay here at the end of Sep 2017.
The hotel has very easy access to the roads around Avignon, in case you rented a car for day trips. Avignon is also an excellent hub for trips to Nimes, Arles, Orange, Les Alpilles. Small free, safe parking in front of the hotel, or in low traffic street behind it.
Very friendly and helpful owners/staff, clean room with balcony, quiet and safe location despite the traffic in the area. Nice rooftop terrace.
15 min walk to Avignon.
Villneuve les Avignon well worth a closer look. The Thursday morning market sells amazing food.

Bathroom was very tiny and so was the room. The best part was the location. It was right beside the bridge going over to Avignon. Guests could walk over or take a bus. The view from the rooftop was great. You could see the papal palace directly across the Rhone.

terrific location across rhone river from avignon. walked across bridge in about 15 minutes to palais de papes. nice large terrace on rooftop with tables and chairs and beautiful views of river, avignon, and surrounding countryside. on site parking for our rental car. our room had a private terrace with a view of river as well. small room but very clean and comfortable. just up the road on same side of river is avignon villeneauve which has a very interesting fort/abbey as well.

Absolutely fantastic stay!!!

Absolutely amazing stay, the owner of the hotel was a lovely gentleman who unprompted showed us a map with the locations of the top tourist sites, as well as his personal recommendations for restaurants. We ate at two fabulous French restaurants (AOC and La Salamandre) thanks to his recommendation. The room had a beautiful view of the Rhone, the wifi was very quick and easy to connect to and the hotel is located in an ideal central location, between Avignon city centre and Villenueve.

Fantastique!!!

Staying here has been one of my happiest holiday experiences. Wonderful friendly owners Olivier and Ludovic and their team make you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Even lugging my very heavy case upstairs and down -there is no lift but the stairs are not steep and are manageable. Excellent buffet breakfast with a good range of options including delicious locally (almost next door) produced fruit juices and jams.
Rooms are clean, cool and comfortable. No hot drinks facilities in the rooms but a minibar fridge with good range of reasonably priced drinks.
A pleasant walk across the bridge in to Avignon or a slightly more taxing one in the heat to Villeneuve dez Avignon but also good bus services only 1€30 for as many journeys as you can make within an hour. Drivers are friendly and helpful. I was welcomed on to every bus I stepped on to and wished au revoir when I got off most of them.
A tip if you are arriving by TGV: if your luggage is manageable, don't bother with taxis. They are few and far between and I waited 40 minutes for one (but my case was extremely heavy and I thought it would be easier).Take the local train from the Gare TGV to the Gare Centrale. The fare is included in your TGV ticket. Then walk across the road to the bus station and take either the number 5, 16 or 40 to the hotel. You want to get off at the stop called General Leclerc. 1€30 in total as opposed to about 18€ in a taxi.

Budget hotel in decent location.

This is a budget hotel with facilities to match. The rooms are small and very basically furnished. There is air-con but it is very noisy. It's location is ok - a fifteen minute walk across the Rhone to the historic centre of Avignon which is both fascinating and beautiful. The one member of staff we encountered could not have been more friendly and helpful - a credit to the organisation offering many tips and advice about our city visit.

This hotel is a 15 minute walk across the bridge from the center of Avignon. We had a junior suite for three with a separate bedroom. Although it was very out-dated it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed from a fridge, air conditioner to free wifi and parking. Thierry, who speaks English well, was so very nice and helpful in finding us a great restaurant by the river and offered many suggestions for excursions. A well priced hotel with the most excellant customer service!

It's a long way from everything!

I picked this hotel because it had decent reviews and looked close to both Avignon and town center Villeneuve de Avignon, unfortunately it was a 20+ minute walk. This wouldn't have been bad but after walking all day, coming back to the hotel to change for dinner it was just too far to go and have a nice dinner. One night I ended up eating at the pizza place next door, great pizza and a super nice family that owns the place. If you had a car it'd be great to be able to get around. The staff was friendly and helpful!

My travel partner was way more impressed with this hotel than i was. This hotel had a bit of a modern flair but was also slightly rundown. The room had somewhat worn carpet and a very tiny bathroom. We opted for the river-side and had a nice balcony. This hotel is about a half a mile walk to Avignon proper, and was very hard to find while driving. Be aware that your satellite navigation may not be able to find this hotel properly. On the plus side they did offer free parking which was a bit of a novelty in France. Would possibly stay here again, was definitely acceptable for the price.

Outside impressions may not be the best but this was a great overnight hotel for Avignon. Perfectly situated for a 10-15 minute walk into the city, the hotel staff were really helpful and friendly with good English. Unfortunately we arrived in rain so couldn't check out the rooftop bar.

Great bakery just up the road which we used for breakfast.

NICE PLACE TO STAY FOR THE MONEY.

The professional pictures look much better than the hotel room. The rooms are outdated and my room smelled like a lot of carpet fresh was used to cover up a moldy smell coming from the bathroom. This hotel did have a wall unit air conditioner, which other hotels we stayed did not have any type of air conditioning. Although, my air conditioning unit froze up, after turning the unit off for a few hours the unit would work. The hotel staff were FABULOUS and very helpful! The hotel is on the outside of the city walls and the walk from the hotel into the city walls was approximately 15 minutes, depending how fast you walk. They did serve a small breakfast, which is not worth the money they charge you...save your money and take a short walk up the street to this fabulous bakery for breakfast. When making arrangements to stay here, pay more money and ask for the deluxe room. My room was overlooking the river and the other side of the hotel rooms face the train tracks.

Relax outside of Avignon

We chose this hotel because it was close to Avignon and had parking. You could walk across the bridge and tour Avignon easily. The staff was helpful and gave us discount coupons to the Pont du Gard and restaurant recommendations in Villeneuve. The breakfast room and terrace were very nice.

After a whole day trip around Provence I reached Avignon around 7:30 PM. Without a GPS in the rental car I had a great difficulty in finding the hotel on the other side of the river in the dark around the old city surrounded by ancient walls; and we were very nervous how we could reach before the last check in time (8:30PM).

Quiet hotel on the river; short walk to town

Cube Hotel was a great place to call home for a few nights. Free parking, accessible, and great staff made it very pleasant. We walked into Avignon each night with ease. At a fraction of the cost of the hotels inside the city walls, this was a great option. Ask the receptionist for some great restaurant recommendations.

It is a nice hotel and the the service was good. An elevator would be nice since there is four floors. We had a low cost room on the second floor. The only negative point to the room was a bad smell coming for the bathroom. It was coming from the pipes. Other than that, it was very well maintained, and only a fifteen walk to Avignon.

Cool Hotel, Great Staff

Cube is located just across the river from Avignon and the view from our room was amazing. It's a nice walk (15-20 minutes) across the bridge to get to Avignon. There's a bus stop nearby if you don't want to walk (you can also take the bus to Pont du Gard from there). The hotel was very cool with neon colors and cube-shaped everything! Staff was very friendly and helped us with bus schedules--they looked online and made several calls to get information for us. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed overnight en route to Cote d'Azur. Free parking was useful. Receptionist recommended restaurants in Avignon, one of which we tried and found it to be excellent. Although the hotel is across the river from Avignon it was easy to walk into the city.

This is a great little a quaint hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and gave us 2 great recommendations for dinner. It is just across the 2 bridges from the center of Avignon, it is about a 10 minute walk at most, but extremely scenic. They have a great breakfast on the top floor with a stunning view of the Avignon.

Nice, convenient hotel for visiting Provence

We stayed in a nice room facing the Rhone River. It had everything we needed. The view was wonderful. We used the Cube Hotel as a convenient spot to visit the various towns in Provence. It is located on the other side of the Rhone River from Avignon, so is away from all the traffic of the city, thus making it easier to travel from. The bridge is easy to walk across and there is also a convenient bus to visit Avignon. We had rented a car and there was plenty of parking behind the hotel. There are two lovely restaurants near by that we were told about by the staff. The staff was most helpful and friendly.

If you can't find a reasonable price hotel in Avignon

If you need a lift, this three floor hotel is not for you. You have a 1km walk across the bridge to Avignon. Only one restaurant is across the street is available. Otherwise, you have to walk about 800m to find one. A pizza placeaurants ther is close, Or you either have to walk back or take taxi if you want to take advantage of the scads of restaurants available in the old town. That said, the decor is delightful, the rooms clean, beds comfortable, and a pleasant shower.

Hotel Cube - Ideal for walk into Avignon

Good hotel for visiting Villenueve and Avignon and on arrival owner immediately gave me a local map and directions to historic part of Villeneueve and somewhere local to eat. Took 15 min walk to Villeneuve in evening and ate in recommended Pizzeria not five min walk from hotel. Following morning was able to leave car in hotel car park and take 25 min walk across bridge over Rhone to Avignon. Very friendly, extremely helpful owners and breakfast on terrace overlooking Rhone in sunshine was nice way to start the day. Paid extra for nice balcony room with lovely bathroom and shower overlooking river which is probably worthwhile as view to the back looks over railway. Road outside can be noisy if you leave door to balcony open. Parking in hotel grounds somewhat limited but on street parking available.

A 10/12 minutos andando de Aviñon. Sitio sencillo y limpio, ideal para ver la ciudad y alrededores a buen precio. Aparcamiento gratis alrededor del hotel. Azotea con buenas vistas del rio y la ciudad.

Buena ubicación y limpio a buen precio

Hotel con relación calidad-precio buena. Habitación limpia y con vistas muy bonitas al río y al palacio papal. Terraza en la habitación y bien insonorizada, no se oyen ruidos de la carretera. Bien situado, en 20 minutos andando llegas al casco histórico. Aparcamiento en la calle gratis sin problema. El baño está limpio aunque un poco pequeño. En general Hotel recomendable por su calidad-precio con buena ubicación. Amanecer muy bonito desde la habitación

Nettes Hotel bei Avignon

Zugeteiltes Zimmer in oberer Etage war nicht geputzt gewesen,
Ersatz weiter unten bekommen, Aussicht dann zwar nicht so toll, aber neu renoviertes Zimmer bekommen.
Frühstück OK, Parkplatz auf der Straße.
Guter Ausblick von der Dachterasse auf Avignon.
Für 2-3 tägige Sightseeingaufenthalte empfehlenswert.
Preis/Leistung passt.
Würde ich wieder buchen.

Hôtel très pratique, à proximité de la ville et de la gare ferroviaire. Personnel adorable, mais le plus du plus c’est la propreté. Nous avons rarement vu un Hotel aussi propre.

アヴィニョンを一望できるホテル

アヴィニョンの中心地からは少し離れているけど、バルコニー付きの部屋からの眺めはとても良かった。
ホテルの駐車場は３台分しかないが、ホテル裏側のスペースに自由に駐車出来、その場所からホテル2階に直接アクセス出来るのでホテル駐車場より便利。
部屋は決して広くはないが、2星ホテルにしては最低限の設備は完備されていた。コストパフォーマンスはかなり良い。
屋上のテラスはとても快適だった。

Très déçue par la chambre « confort »

Très déçue par la chambre. J’avais réservé une chambre confort, à l’arrivée, on m’annonce sans explication qu’on m’a changé de chambre. Je me retrouve dans une très petite chambre où il ne m’est même pas possible d’ouvrir ma valise à plat, je dois la poser sur le lit pour l’ouvrir…
Après, il faut la stocker debout.
Je ne peux pas m’installer au bureau, il n’y a pas assez d’espace pour m’asseoir entre le lit et la table.
Il y a du tartre dans les toilettes et une fuite d’eau en dessous.
Seul point positif, la climatisation.
Des amis sont venus me rejoindre le 2ème jour, ils avaient aussi réservé une chambre confort et ils ont bien bénéficié d’une chambre digne de ce nom.
J’ai exprimé ma déception lors de mon départ de l’hôtel.la personne à la réception qui n’était pas là même que celle qui m’a reçue, elle a vérifié et n’a pas compris pourquoi on m’avait déclassé. Elle m’a fait part d’une remise qui aurait été effectuée à ce titre mais je n’ai rien reçu…il paraîtrait que c’est Hôtels.com qui doit me créditer. J’attends des explications.

C'est la deuxième fois que je séjourne ici. La chambre était rénovée pendant cet hiver, et l'accueil est toujours sympathique. J'apprécie également la vue sur le fleuve.

Un point de vue magnifique sur Avignon

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter Avignon et Villeneuve les Avignon.
La terrasse du petit déjeuner est paradisiaque par contre le parking est très petit, ce qui pose problème entre usagers de l'hôtel.
