The images on the website did not reflect the property accurately. The room was advertised as having two queen beds, but there was only one. Towels had holes in them and the bathtub was very small.
The room was clean and the staff clearly work hard, but the property feels under-invested and closer to a youth hostel standard. The location was good for us, but overall we were disappointed and felt misled. The hotel was unwilling to acknowledge the discrepancies or offer an alternative room.

We came to Quebec City for the German Christmas Market. This is a busy time, and although this hotel would not have been our first choice, it was in our price range and available. Overall, we were more than satisfied. This is a budget friendly, basic hotel right in Old Quebec, steps from the major points of attraction. Communication prior to arrival was clear, concise, with little delay. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable and despite being advised there would not be housekeeping during our short stay, they still cleaned our rooms each day. We had a problem with one of the coffee makers in one room: it was replaced same day. All hotel staff encountered were helpful, professional and pleasant. We did not expect, for the price, luxury and we didn't get it. For the price, we got what we expected: restrained but clean, comfortable rooms very close to what we wanted to see during our stay. We would stay here again and we do recommend it. Note #1: this is a sister hotel to, among others, the nearby Acadia. It was made clear to us that in a pinch, we could seek help for issues there, if needed. Note #2: the hotel is older and aspects could be improved/repaired. Our sense is that current labor shortages & reduced tourist environment will make any sprucing up an immediate and understandable challenge.

Unfortunately the hotel itself was in dire need of some TLC and apart from the cleaning lady, we only met a reception member from another hotel once, who only came because we had to call the help number. Honestly, the building is decent, and in a very walkable location, however, the room was dirty, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned in some time (hair stuck all over the bathtub and shower tiles, toothpaste smears on the sink, gunk gathering in the corners of the tub, either black mold or bugs up high on the ceiling). The furniture was dusty and dirty. The front desk is not manned, you have to call a number to try and reach someone. Would not stay here again.

We loved the location of this hotel and the charm of an older building. We live in an 18th century home, so an older place with quirks was okay with us. If you want modern or new, this isn't the place for you. The only issues were that the cable stopped working, the internet was slow or not working, and contrary to the hotels.com/expedia filers, there is NO on-site parking. We had to book a spot in the lower town and walk. Otherwise, this spot was close to all the action, clean, and comfortable.

What they meant was Public Parking was available if you walked about 5-7 minutes away with all your luggage. The site said there was limited uncovered parking on site. I had to call when I got there to find out where to park and was told there was none on site. It was private behind the hotel. This should be posted on their site. Also, security chain on our bedroom door was broken.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is steps from everything in the heart of saint-Louis. If you’re looking for an old-world hotel in Old Quebec City - look no further. The beds are comfortable, there is a shower, fridge, coffee maker, etc. However, it is a very old building. You may expect to hear footsteps and talking from time to time. We will definitely stay here again!

However for the price point it was in a nice location close to the shopping and dining areas and the tourist attractions. Clean, quiet and charming. The check in and check out was done remotely and by telephone. The management was very accomodating by allowing us to check in early.

We read the reviews and were not expecting all the bells and whistles, but this property fell short of our modest expectations. Phone contact was polite and professional. Beds and pillows were comfortable and clean, but the condition of the common areas and room were not. An easy and inexpensive suggestion, replace the dirty, black stained shower curtain. Perhaps replace what appears to be a collection of uni student cast-off furniture. Overpriced given the condition.

Beautiful and well maintained Victorian building. There is no on-site staff and it is difficult to get assistance. Emails are only responded to with a generic boiler-plate welcome message and no useful replies. The description states there is limited in-site parking but when I called for clarification I was told no parking at all. The lot behind the building was vacant but I was told it was not available.

I wasn't too sure about the idea of not being greeted by someone at the door, but I got used to it. The room was a little small, but it had everything I needed. My room was closest to the entrance door, and it would shut loudly whenever someone came in during the night. I had no issues during my stay, however my friend did and it was hard for her to reach someone over the phone. I wish someone had been more readily available to answer questions.

This is such a wonderful hotel in a GREAT location. It is a self-checkin style hotel so there is no normal lobby with hotel staff, however, I received multiple emails in advance plus a number to call if needed. Parking is about a 5 minute walk to a main parking garage. Room was spacious and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is clean and the room spacious, however it definitely needs to be fixed up. The ceiling and mirror in our room were cracked and the bathtub was all scratched. There were holes in the firescape door/room window that allowed flies and wasps to get in, as well as more road noise. The bed sheets had a noticeable yellow stain so they could use a new set. The pipes would vibrate and whistle when other guests would take a shower, resulting in 15 min periods of loud high pitch noise. Location was convenient.

Great place. Very clean, incredible location. Walking distance to the whole old town. There is no actual lobby if you care about that but the code gets you in and your room key is there and ready for you. There was nothing bad about the stay there so I was unsure about some of the negative comments I saw.

Hotel room was very nice and clean, however parking was terrible and it was impossible to get anyone to talk to with questions. We were told no one would be present upon check in but we could not get in touch with anyone to ask about parking. I messaged the hotel before we left through hotels.com, called the number several times and let several messages with no response. Also the tv would not turn on.

Here we are day 2 of our 3 day trip still haven't seen any hotel staff. We were lucky that another guest was entering the building or we would be sleeping on the street the 1st night. No one will answer their service phone. We are currently locked out of our room with no way to get our stuff. Still no one will answer the phone to get us a key that works or to get our luggage so we can stay somewhere else.

Decent priced hotel in the heart of old Québec. Comfortable bed and private bathroom all extremely clean. Heating in cold winter days was very adequate. I recommend for the people who prefer doing check in and check out via internet, since the clerk isn’t always at the front desk because of reduced hours. If you want a parking space, make sure to call ahead since there isn’t much place around the hotel.
