The only positive comment I can give this hotel is the location is great. Location location location. The beds are small, the rooms tight, the care and upkeep is horrible. The place needs paint and repair. Light bulbs not working in need of replacing, limited showering supplies. The bathroom was so tight, you had to side sit on the toilet. Everything creeps and creaks. Supplies left out in boxes outside in hall ways. The ac in our room was quite noisy in an unusual way. Would not recommend.

Aspect à améliorer : Les joints en silicone dans la douche étaient noircis par la moisissure. Moisissures également present au plafond de la douche. La fan de douche n'était pas fonctionnel et un support à serviette près de l'évier n'était pas fixé solidement.

The communication with us was excellent from the point of booking on. Although the room we were originally booked in had a plumbing (we discovered upon arrival), we made a quick call and Rodney appeared and very helpfully switched us to another room. The building is ‘vintage’ and clearly in need of some repairs, but the room was clean enough and the property was excellently positioned for us to explore Old Quebec. I wish we’d had a bit more time! Heads up that many of the rooms are up a flight or two of stairs.

This is the first time we use a virtual reception. But all is good since you can just run across the street at Acadia Hotel if you have questions. And the staff there is very helpful.
Parking is not very clear. They should have map out the parking area. If there is an available parking spot at the back, they should have put a sign or save a spot for the guests. But other than that, all is good. It’s a good walk to the garage parking. Everything else is close by. We had a good walk around the area.

Our room was nice enough.
We.could not get the TV to work.
When using our hair dryer, the plug in sparked.
Our bathroom was disgusting. There was mold growing on the ceiling and all around the trim of the shower. There is no fan in the bathroom.
There is no airflow in the room. Over the days there Our room became so humid that all of our stuff was damp and wouldn't dry.
We never had our room cleaned. We ran out of toliet paper on day 1 and had to search the property for some as well as find our own clean towels.
There is no receptionist in the building so there is no one there to ask for items when needed.

No AC in the room and staff didn't seem to care about turning it on or getting a fan. The room was hot and we couldn't sleep. Window didn't have a screen on it either so we couldn't open it overnight.
Also, make sure you factor paying for parking as hotel parking is never available for travelers to use.
I wouldn't come back here

This is a nice hotel in a good location. We arrived late so it was self check in, there were no staff around. The staff did answer quickly and were friendly when we called. The room was clean, however the air conditioner was very loud when it ran. The bathrooms are not updated, but I guess that's the charm of the place. The downside is that you have to park a couple of blocks away from the hotel.

Pour le prix que nous avons payé considérant la localisation exceptionnelle, c'était parfait. Sinon, je ne choisirais pas ce type d'hébergement en temps normal.

C'est vieillot, la télécommande pour la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas et il y avait des meubles endommagés.

Gros Bonus par contre! Le lit était super confortable. Il s'agit d'un hôtel sans personnel à la réception ce qui est un peu unique.

Les communications avec l'hôtel étaient très fluides et le processus d'enregistrement et de départ étaient très faciles.

Une expérience d'une nuit ok...mais je ne resterais pas là pour un séjour plus long ( par exemple 2 jours ou plus).

Two frustrating things about this place-- 1) - no staff around to help when there are questions. Phoning for assistance is not an ideal solution. 2) parking - the place is advertised as having a very small parking lot right behind the building. There were 4 empty spaces when we arrived but after \"phoning\" for assistance, we were informed that we had to park at a city parking lot about 4 blocks away. These spaces were being saved for their sister hotel across the street. In the morning, those \"saved\" spaces were still empty. The room itself was okay - beds were comfortable and clean but the shower had no floor mat and it was like standing on slippery ice. There was no place to put down the soap, or deal with shampoo etc except to leave it on the floor of the shower and bend over and pick it up every time you wanted to rinse off. Electrical plugs had been tampered with and plugs fell out easily. Friends were on the 4th floor and their room was not in great shape either. If the place is being renovated then get it done before renting it out to unsuspecting travelers. Sorry to be so negat

There were no onsite staff just phone numbers or I found out I could go to another of their hotels located down the street. Had not been advised of this prior. There were 3 hooks on the wall instead of hangers or a clothes rack it was on ground floor and window looked into parked cars and an emergency stairwell. Front entrance had a rather beat up door and dead plants in window box. This place looked nothing like online

This was a decent place to stay. Rooms were quite small but we were only there to sleep anyway.
A few notes if you are going to stay there - in the 2 seperate rooms we were in the sink is not in the bathroom, it is right beside the bed. Not a problem for us but maybe tor some. Also there is no front desk or staff at the hotel, but just about 50 metres away is the sister hotel Acadia. If you have any needs/concerns you can go there and they will glady assist ie- luggage storage, key problems, ice...
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Great location just inside walled part of old town which allowed easy access to things in city outside of the old part .

It's good for a short stay in Quebec City. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. The room was clean and the pressure was good in the shower. The box spring mattress was not the most comfortable. There is no staff, which was perfectly fine for us, but keep that in mind if that's not what you're looking for.

We stayed 3 nights and for what we needed (a bed and a shower) it was fine. Code and key cards worked well. Staff were very responsive to our text messages. Visitors must be prepared to carry luggage to the 3rd floor (no elevator), we were ok with this. Location was good, close to restaurants and a reasonable walking distance to sites in Old Quebec. Some noticeable noise from people in other suites. A table/shelf on the sink side of the bed would be appreciated. Also extra hooks for towels at the sink and in the shower area, shelves near the shower for supplies and towels, and a recycling bin ♻️ Safety wise, please inspect the fire extinguisher across the hall from room 451, last done in 2022!

Room was clean, but a little worn in. There is no on site parking, but there is a garage about 5 minutes away with reasonably priced parking. There is no receptionist, so you just check in on your own, and there is nobody around to help if you need it, however you can message the property owner and they’ll respond relatively quickly. Our room had an AC, but the remote had dead batteries, and once we replaced them it didn’t work very well, it got pretty hot in the room. Overall still a solid hotel, it was clean, had everything we needed, and its location is amazing, close by everything you’d want to see in Old Quebec.

If you like location/character in a hotel and prize that over modern, well maintained/appointed one you’ll appreciate this hotel. It’s close to all the Old Town action, quaint etc. But lacking by modern conveniences normally expected.
There’s no staff, and unassisted check in has glitches. You get sent a code to get in the door to pick up your key, and wifi login. BUT, if you don’t have an international data plan, you can’t get your email ! (which is in French by the way… so hard if not impossible for an non French reader to decipher). You have no wifi to get the email that lets you in the door to get your wifi code!
The room is modern in appearance, but very poorly maintained… missing parts on shower, mold in bathtub caulking… WiFi is so slow most of the time that it essentially doesn’t work. Heat is from a water radiator you can’t control… AC to cool the room down didn’t work. Opening the window brought in a lot of street noise. The bathtub and toilet are doll-sized; cute but tough for grown people to use. There’s no elevator so come prepared to lug your suitcases up narrow/steep stairs.
The staff at the Acadia hotel up the road was super nice… letting us store our luggage when we arrived early until our room was ready so we could go explore. They also gave us late check out. The bedding was great. The little coffee maker made a great brew. The TV was adequate to watch hockey… but unless you speak French you pretty much have a news and a sports channel.

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with this hotel regarding parking.

I specifically chose and booked this hotel through Expedia because it clearly stated that parking was available. As a traveler with a rental car, parking was an important factor in my decision. However, upon arrival and check-in, I was informed that the hotel does not actually have its own parking facility and instead directed me to a public parking lot.

This was already misleading and frustrating, as the information provided on Expedia gave the impression that parking would be conveniently available on-site or at least directly affiliated with the hotel.

What made the situation even worse was what happened next. The public parking lot I was directed to was not only located a noticeable distance away from the hotel, but when I arrived there, it was CLOSED. After a long day of travel, having to deal with finding alternative parking late at night in an unfamiliar area was extremely stressful and inconvenient.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated, but unfortunately it did not make up for the inconvenience caused by the parking issue.

This experience felt very unprofessional and poorly managed. If the hotel does not provide its own parking, this should be clearly and accurately stated in the booking information. Guests should not be misled into thinking parking is readily available when it is not.

The images on the website did not reflect the property accurately. The room was advertised as having two queen beds, but there was only one. Towels had holes in them and the bathtub was very small.
The room was clean and the staff clearly work hard, but the property feels under-invested and closer to a youth hostel standard. The location was good for us, but overall we were disappointed and felt misled. The hotel was unwilling to acknowledge the discrepancies or offer an alternative room.

We came to Quebec City for the German Christmas Market. This is a busy time, and although this hotel would not have been our first choice, it was in our price range and available. Overall, we were more than satisfied. This is a budget friendly, basic hotel right in Old Quebec, steps from the major points of attraction. Communication prior to arrival was clear, concise, with little delay. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable and despite being advised there would not be housekeeping during our short stay, they still cleaned our rooms each day. We had a problem with one of the coffee makers in one room: it was replaced same day. All hotel staff encountered were helpful, professional and pleasant. We did not expect, for the price, luxury and we didn't get it. For the price, we got what we expected: restrained but clean, comfortable rooms very close to what we wanted to see during our stay. We would stay here again and we do recommend it. Note #1: this is a sister hotel to, among others, the nearby Acadia. It was made clear to us that in a pinch, we could seek help for issues there, if needed. Note #2: the hotel is older and aspects could be improved/repaired. Our sense is that current labor shortages & reduced tourist environment will make any sprucing up an immediate and understandable challenge.

Minus: We chose this hotel because of the welcoming photos. Our room did not resemble any of the photos presented. We were in cramped quarters (difficult to go around bed), was very warm (also a plus when coming in from cold), only one chair for two people. No bath (as most photos showed), nowhere to hold soap and such in shower.

All in all, it was a pleasant stay at the hotel though false representation in pictures of rooms.

The hotel was wonderfully located, easily walkable to the Places D'Armes as well as the Citadel and Plains of Abraham. The local dining options were numerous. Unfortunately the hotel itself was in dire need of some TLC and apart from the cleaning lady, we only met a reception member from another hotel once, who only came because we had to call the help number. It felt very impersonal.

Honestly, the building is decent, and in a very walkable location, however, the room was dirty, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned in some time (hair stuck all over the bathtub and shower tiles, toothpaste smears on the sink, gunk gathering in the corners of the tub, either black mold or bugs up high on the ceiling). The furniture was dusty and dirty. The front desk is not manned, you have to call a number to try and reach someone. Would not stay here again.

Clean and comfortable in the heart of the city

We loved the location of this hotel and the charm of an older building. We live in an 18th century home, so an older place with quirks was okay with us. If you want modern or new, this isn't the place for you. The only issues were that the cable stopped working, the internet was slow or not working, and contrary to the hotels.com/expedia filers, there is NO on-site parking. We had to book a spot in the lower town and walk. Otherwise, this spot was close to all the action, clean, and comfortable.

What they meant was Public Parking was available if you walked about 5-7 minutes away with all your luggage. The site said there was limited uncovered parking on site. I had to call when I got there to find out where to park and was told there was none on site. It was private behind the hotel. This should be posted on their site. Also, security chain on our bedroom door was broken.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is steps from everything in the heart of saint-Louis. If you’re looking for an old-world hotel in Old Quebec City - look no further. The beds are comfortable, there is a shower, fridge, coffee maker, etc. However, it is a very old building. You may expect to hear footsteps and talking from time to time. We will definitely stay here again!

This was my first time in the Old City of Quebec. Therefore I have no other properties to compare it to. However for the price point it was in a nice location close to the shopping and dining areas and the tourist attractions. Clean, quiet and charming. The check in and check out was done remotely and by telephone. The management was very accomodating by allowing us to check in early.

This property is in the heart of Old Town Quebec. The location is prime and walking distance to all of Old Quebec. The hotel is boutique style so it is old. The pictures show way different than expected. Rooms are extremely small, not clean. This hotel has no receptionist. Across the street at
