I have stayed everywhere on Koh Samui and This is such a beautiful property… the name is misleading, because there are no boats in Crystal Bay. It is the best beach on Koh Samui! The manager was amazing and took amazing care of me! He was so kind and gracious. Truly a great ambassador for the property. I had issues with my aircon and he had the whole system replaced.
I moved to their sister property a few hundred meters down the beach, to have a different view and both the managers treated me like a VIP. All the staff, food and views are amazing. I love Crystal Bay Yacht Club and Crystal Bay Beach Resort! Simply the best…

Overall, this is a great place. Really good location on a beautiful beach, lovely pool and restaurant area. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was great. There is a mix of property styles, some are new and some are older. This is where the overall aesthetic can feel “unfinished”. There are streams of stagnant water or empty ponds, the bungalows whilst great for bedrooms don’t have much is way of living space, feeling more like a reception room. However, they are clean and any issues quickly resolved. I wouldn’t let those negatives put you off a feeling of Thai style accommodation and space and would still recommend if you want to be in a quieter area and aren’t looking for the polished feel of a high end resort.

Way too overcrowded

We chose a beachfront villa with our toddler. The villa was fine, bit dated but clean enough.

The biggest issue was that the beach was INCREDIBLY busy, to the point we couldn’t find anywhere to sit. We had groups of boys sitting directly outside on the beach smoking weed. We ended up having to go to a different beach which was a shame.

The sea was also green, probably from algae but nobody seemed to be able to give us an explanation.

For the price we expected a lot more. We tired to move hotels but we not able to get a refund for our remaining nights. Service was good, especially the team by the pool/restaurant

My family and I arrived at this resort at 7:30am.. Jetlagged and tired from travel. The girl at the front desk was so nice.. She had the maid clean our room first and we checked in hours early. Yes, the resort has a bit of a 70-80's vibe, but it's grounds are kept perfectly clean and you're staying in the middle of a tropical jungle just steps from the beach! How can you beat that?? Some people that review this place and nitpick the small details will never be happy, because they can't afford the type of luxury they expect from a mid-range resort. The on-site restaurant had delicious food and was great value. The fire-dancers the one night put on an amazing show. This was the best resort by far on our Thai vacation. We hope to be back some day.

There is a good restaurant on the beach, as well as massage chairs, beach chairs and a few kayaks.
The staff are great; the rooms are super basic, there is really just the minimum (eg no closet).

Room was in very poor condition, especially the bathroom. I got an electric shock from the lamp and staff didn't seem bothered. The lock on the door was very flimsy (and there was no door chain for added security) so didn't feel great as a solo female traveler. Breakfast quality was poor.

The beach and views from the property are beautiful. The rooms were mediocre. The bathroom door didn’t close (it was too big for the door frame) and the bed was as hard as the floor. The bed frame was squeaky and woke both of us every time there was any movement. Most disappointing was the staff at the front desk. They’re rude and dismissive. We travel extensively and have never encountered hotel staff who show such little care for their jobs in hospitality. I would not recommend staying here.

We checked into this property, and everything seemed great upon arrival. However, the air conditioning, even when turned up all the way, would not make the room cool. We did complain to the front desk, but when we returned to the room later, the same problem was still there. We also had an issue with the shower, not draining properly and creating a pool in the bathroom, lastly, the “free breakfast” did not even include fresh orange juice. We had to pay for the drinks, and the breakfast was a very limited menu, and you could only have one choice. This was very disappointing. Compared to other properties I have stayed at in Thailand. The beach was absolutely beautiful however, but I would not stay again.

Great property to enjoy the beach. Don't necessarily need sea view the villas are all next to each other. Villa is also maybe a bit optimistic, it's an independent room and quite spacey but don't expect several rooms. Internet is absolutely fantastic which can be great for remote working (500mbps down and 220mbps down on 5ghz network, about half on 2.4ghz).
The staff is great and they clean the room everyday. Lots of mosquitoes of course but if you're careful you don't get too bothered indoors. 7-11 nearby and some restaurant options. The one in the hotel is also fine even if a bit pricey. The beach is great and even decent snorkeling. Overall a great experience, can easily stay the whole week there or more.

Great Location, with what is almost a private beach. Restaurant is well located close to the beach. Resort is aging, comprising older style bungalows, spacious but dated and lacking in furniture. nowhere to sit and relax... Bathrooms have been upgraded but water lacked pressure. Beautiful resort on a fabulously clean water beach with white soft sand. Really cannot fault this resort, the breakfast was a smorgasborg of different dishes that you could keep going back for more. The grounds and gardens lush. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. My room was close to the beach on the main walkway to the beach and restaurant and if a I did grumble it was that most people who walked past looked in and so my privacy was limited. The menu was excellent but note the tax and VAT are not added into the listed price.
My stay was fabulous, quiet and relaxing just wish the staff at the restaurant would smile.

Beautifully located, this is the best beach on Samui. Great snorkelling and kayaking from here too. The hotel staff were good, food was okay and the room was all that I wanted (a hut on the beach with aircon). While there are things that could be improved I had zero complaints. You really can’t go wrong with the Crystal Bay Yacht Club - although I would pay the extra for a seaview room, it’s worth it. Enjoy.

Nice villa with a partial sea view, room, was a bit dated but clean with tv and tea making facilities. Unfortunately the beach was swept of leaves everyday but rubbish was left, the seating areas around the pool areas were not very clean and were shabby.
We were told that the taxi to the airport was 500 baht but actually should of only been 250 baht on a metred taxi.

Hotel is a little tired but so relaxing

This is an awesome place to come chill out on the beach for a few days- I won’t call it 5 star luxury but it’s clean and comfortable. We wanted to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle so this was a great place. The resort is a little tired itself, but it’s very quaint. If you don’t mind the quirks it is a great place to kick back and relax. The resort restaurant is very expensive, but it is good food. If you leave the resort and walk left there is a small Thai restaurant that also has good food for about half the price. We had a Thai oil massage on the beach for 400 baht which was worth every penny. The bay here is beautiful, we swam around all day long. When the tide is in it is sand as far as you can touch and beautiful crystal clear water. Further out there are some rocks with fish and sea urchins if you look for them. We paid extra for a beach front cottage which was delightful. The room was clean, and the beds are soft. The wifi was good throughout the resort. There was a gap under our door as shown in someone else’s review but we just put a towel by the door and plugged it- not a big deal. Otherwise very simple decor but clean rooms. Would go back.

Crystal Bay magic.

I booked in a bit early but they were very welcoming and sorted me out in my room in no time. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The balcony was overlooking the entire Chrystal Bay and ocean, just splendid! It was very tranquil and relaxing. There are really good restaurants in the area and the beach is really good for snorkeling. Over all o had a splendid time and will be back for sure!

Beautiful island retreat

This is a lovely resort nestled between a lush jungle and a beautiful beach Koh Samui. The facilities are beautiful and well kept and the food was delicious. This is the perfect resort for couples and families looking for an island getaway.

The resort is a 15 to 20 minute drive to the more popular parts of the island, and the restaurant and bar close at 11 so those seeking a more serious night life, or more access to tours and water sports etc. might be better off finding a spot closer to that kind of action.

We have visited Crystal Bay before but this time stayed for 2 nights in a beachfront bungalow which was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with balcony, chairs, sun lounge and table. The pool is near the beach, quite large and clean. The beach is very nice, the water is shallow and there are quite a few large rocks but we just laid in the shallows. It was low tide in the morning and high tide at night. You can eat on the beach and have a massage, there is a family mart in the main road, tuktuks and taxis pass frequently to Chaweng and Lamai. Superb hotel in a quiet location

This is a phenomenally great hotel.
It consists of a number of very spacious villas with large bathrooms with a tub in open air.
The garden area is decorated with ponds full of fish - beautiful.
The beach is within a 20 second walk. The sea is shallow though and there's lots of stones, so be careful when entering the water.

Lamai beach is within a couple minutes drive, while lots of amenities, including cafes, shops and car rentals, are within a couple minutes walk.

The only downside is the restaurant: it is expensive, the food is no different from any other joint that charges 50% less, while proper expensive eateries beat this one effortlessly.

Overall, a brilliant hotel away from the noise of the hectic Chaweng and close enough to the lovely Lamai.

great time. Love the moveable room safe and door lock very dubious however here you are away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng and probably much safer. The fish and shrimp cakes are the best on the island. breakfast great and staff wonderful. The room are a bit tired. however very clean and everything you need. Our outdoor bathroom was wonderful. We stayed two weeks and could have stayed longer! Happy to return anytime.

Gute Lage für einen Urlaub direkt am wunderschönen Strand, wenn man es etwas ruhiger haben will - obwohl der deröffentliche Strand, wie jeder in Thailand - stark besucht ist.

Der Bungalow ist gut ausgestattet, sauber, dass Personal sehr herzlich und freundlich. Wir haben oft im Restaurant gegessen, schmeckt sehr gut, viele frische Früchte jeden Tag. Den Roller haben wir direkt im Hotel mieten können, preislich gleich wie an der Hauptstraße. Im Restaurant gibt es die Möglichkeit, eine Schnorchel Brille für 250 Baht zu leihen. Zwei mal wöchentlich findet eine Feuer-Show statt. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, jedenfalls zu empfehlen.

Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen. Ja die Anlage könnte hier und da mal etwas renoviert werden aber die Anlage hatte für uns eine schöne Lage. Ruhig und schönen Strand. Die Häuschen sind in einer Gartenähnlichen Anlage, dass mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen hat. Im Restaurant kann man von einer Frühstückskarte auswählen und hat uns immer geschmeckt. Auch Abends ist es möglich zu essen. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Crystal Bay ist sehr schön mit klarem Wasser. Die vielen Tagesgäste sind daher unvermeidlich. In unserem grossen Bungalow mit Terrasse haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Klimaanlage war auch der Hammer, da sehr sehr leise. Die ganze Anlage ist gepflegt, Frühstück super!

A mixed bag

Crystal Bay Resort was an overall okay experience. The location is really great at the beach, but it is flooded with tourist from outside making some content (LOL)
The resort is rather old and has a mixed bag of things to offer. The pool gave our kids rashes from the chemicals used I guess. No smell of chlorine so I guess they use some harsh stuff there.

The room was big and contained what they said.
The view from our room was none existing and the walk to the pool/beach was very tropical like with lots of plants. This welcomed a lot of mosquitos. Overall we were a little surprised by the very good reviews. The staff was very sweet and offered great service throughout our stay. We had an AC system break down midday, two hours later they had changed it to an entirely new AC unit, 3 people working on it. Very nice.

Personal: war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Anreise: da ich ziemlich für da war durfte ich netterweise etwas früher ins Zimmer.

Das Resort und die Bungalows sind teilweise in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist kaum Wasserdruck im Badezimmer und das Wasser ist entweder zu kalt oder zu warm. Man kann es nicht selbst regulieren.

Frühstück: ich hatte Frühstück inklusive und man hat immer nur eine sehr kleine Auswahl a la carte bestellen können.
Das Brot mit Lachs und Rührei war lecker aber jeden Tag unterschiedlich. Teilweise war das Brot etwas älter das habe ich gemerkt. Ich bin Koch :)
Das Besteck ( Messer) auch ziemlich stumpf, sodass man sein Essen eher gerissen als geschnitten hat.
Früchteplatte konnte man auch bestellen dies wurde mir erst am dritten Tag mitgeteilt. Denke es wäre auch noch mehr zur Auswahl gewesen. Es gab aber keine Erklärung. Allgemein ist das Frühstückskonzept schwer zu verstehen.

Pool: hat einen unsauberen Eindruck gemacht. Auch die Liegen und Matten im Poolbereich sahen auch nicht mehr schön aus.

Strand: ist gut sauber gehalten / weiter links sind kaum Steine und man kann dort sicher und sauber ins Wasser

Lage: ist in Ordnung Lamai und Chaweng sind gut zu erreichen mit dem Roller den man für 120 Baht am Tag ausleihen konnte.
Der Pass muss als Pfand hinterlegt werden das finde ich für Hotelgäste nicht sehr angebracht aber gut.

Koh Samui ist eine sehr schöne Urlaubsinsel. Für die Preisklasse findet man aber bessere Hotels/ Bungalows.

Ayant pris la chambre avec piscine pour 3 jours fantastiques avec ma compagne je m'attendais pas à autant de problèmes. La chambre et magnifique, l'hôtel, la plage son super. Seul bémol les évacuations était boucher dès notre arrivée et après avoir demander plusieurs fois a l'accueil de résoudre le problème, ça n'a jamais était résolu. Ont a eu aussi des coupures d'eau et d'électricité régulièrement par si par la sans être prévenu. Pour une chambre a 140€ la nuit je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux. J'avoue être déçu de cette hôtel.

Es war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.
Der Bungalow war sehr geräumig, aber alt. Eine Renovation würde bestimmt nicht schaden. Trotzdem war er noch gut bewohnbar.
Der Strand ist sehr schön, aber zum schwimmen nicht geeignet. Sehr seicht und viele Steine.
Roller kann man an der Rezeption bestellen. 10 Minuten später bringt ihn der Vermieter zum Hotel und holt ihn auch wieder ab (Click 125i, 250 Bath pro Tag).
Im Restaurant war ich nie. Die Preise auf der Karte haben mich abgeschreckt. Draussen kann man viel günstiger essen

Very nice place in a tropical setting on the most beautiful beach on Koh Samui. GREAT restaurant on site at fair prices. Relaxed atmosphere. A little far from restaurants and town life.

Der Zustand der Anlage entspricht überhaupt nicht den Bildern. Insgesamt ist die Anlage \"abgewohnt\". Auf unsere Beschwerde hin wurde nach 1 Woche wenigstens der Dreck (Kippen, Plastik, Papier usw.) rechts und links neben unserer Terrasse in den Beeten gesäubert, eine total dreckige Gardine ausgewechselt, nur ein paar wenige Liegen-Auflagen der ansonsten sehr dreckigen, alten am Pool wurden erneuert. Beim Frühstück war jeder dritte Teller angeschlagen, die Auflagen der Stühle versifft. Beach-Touristen des Strandes konnten durch die Hotelanlage zum Strand spazieren (gab es in keinem Hotel sonst). Alles war zugeparkt. Tag, auch mit Autos für Kreuzfahrtschiff-Besucher zum Baden. Das Personal war allerdings freundlich. Aber sie können nur mit dem arbeiten, was das schlechte Management anschafft. Wir würden nie mehr dort Urlaub machen. Positiv noch: Thailändisches Frühstück war möglich. Die Werbung und Bilder des Hotels entsprechen nicht einem 3-Sterne-Hotel, von uns höchstens einen Stern.

dejligt afslappende sted med fantastisk udsigt

Dejligt afslappende ophold med fantastisk udsigt fra hytterne på bakkesiden. Lækkert at ligge i de små bungalows ved stranden. En del plastisk på stranden gjorde det mindre attraktivt at bade i hav vandet men overordnet set er dejligt ophold ..NB massagen er virkelig god på stedet.

Pieds dans l'eau depuis ce petit village de bungalow typiques. Vue mer sublime, plage de sable blanc paradisiaque. Resto avec des mets thaï et d'ailleurs.Cantines Thaï juste à l'entrée pas cher, pharmacie, Seven Eleven, station de taxi. Proche de Lamaï et Chaweng, emplacement idéal pour poser ses valises et faire le tour de l'ile et les excursions.

Una struttura molto carina con dei bungalow tenuti discretamente bene circondati da giardinetti e ruscelli, il mare a due passi in una delle spiagge più carine dell’isola. Prezzo del soggiorno onesto ed in linea con la struttura, prezzi del bar/ristorante leggermente alti.

Schöne Bucht mit parkähnlichem Hotel

Schöne parkähnliche Anlage direkt am schönen Stand. Die Bungalows (wir hatten Beach View) sind neu renoviert, insbesondere die Bäder. Der Stand ist durch Tagesgäste gut besucht, an schönsten ist es morgens und abends. Das Restaurant ist im vergleich teuer aber es es gibt einige Alternativen am Strand und an der Straße. Personal ist hilfsbereit, es gibt ein kostenlosen Shuttle nach Lamai. Schnocheln ist möglich aber trübe und kein Vergleich mit Koh Tao. Insgesamt ein gute Wahl auf Koh Samui.

Tolles Hotel in einem liebevoll angelegten Garten am traumhaften Strand mit perfekter Kulisse. Die Bungalows sind sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück im Restaurant ist vielseitig und ausreichend, das Tagesangebot vielfältig und die Gerichte der Abendkarte optisch und geschmacklich sehr lecker. Das Personal ist mitunter etwas zu lax, aber sehr bemüht und freundlich. Alles in allem ein prima Hotel für einen entspannten Urlaub.

Die Beachfront Bungalows sollten es schon sein denn über den Tag kommen viele Touristen angefahren um einen Tag in der crystal Bay zu chillen daher ist der Strand sehr voll. Bei den beachfront Zimmern hat man seine eigenen Liegen direkt am Strand und das ist top! Morgens und abends wenn die meisten Touristen wieder weg sind hat man den Beach fast für sich alleine ., Das Restaurant ist auch sehr empfehlenswert und das Personal sehr freundlich .. Das Frühstücksbüffet könnte man noch verbessern mit mehr Auswahl .

ロケーションはとても良く、ビーチに行くのにとても安全で利便性もよかったです。部屋のリネン類は清潔に保たれていました。バスルームのシャンプーとボディーソープはどっちがどっちかわからない状態で、水圧は低かった。部屋に置いてあるティーパック類は開封されたようなものも置いてあり、細かい所にはいろいろ気になる点があったが、概ね快適に過ごせました。スタッフは親切でした。レストランはとても美味しかったです。シービューなマッサージに行きたかったですがタイミングが合わず残念でした。とても気持ち良さそうでした。近くにファミリーマートがあるので長期滞在の際も困らないと思います。

Un petit coin de paradis 😁

Le top ! Ne pas ce fier a l'entrée qui peut rebuter car derrière c'est Un petit coin de paradis ! Si vous cherchez une des plus belles plages de koh Samui vous êtes a la bonne adresse, Une baie magnifique ! Nous avions un lodge vue mer a quelques mètres de la plage, l'endroit est calme dans un jardin luxuriant tel qu'on peut l'imaginer pour des vacances dans les îles. Le personnel et les services de bonnes prestations ! Super petit déjeuner, bar restaurant et piscine, un manager français qui saura prendre soin de vous et vous conseiller dans vos activités sur l'île (Merci Jérôme 😉). La chambre spacieuse, propre, clim, frigos (eau gratuite a disposition tous les jours). Voilà que dire de plus a part Go venez nombreux découvrir cette hôtel magique ! Encore bravo et merci à toute l'équipe.

Voici un hôtel que l'on voudrait garder pour soi sinon il ne pourra pas accueillir tous les futures clients. Situé sur la Crystal Bay ou Sylver Beach, c'est un emplacement stratégique pour celui qui fuit le bruit et l'agitation des plages de Lamai ou Chaweng.

Le personnel est très sympathiques et serviables, à l'écoute du client. Les parties communes sont propres et entretenus. Le service de massage est agréable et meilleurs tarifs que sur Lamai ou Chaweng. Le petit déjeuner - buffet à volonté est varié et bon. Le restaurant à midi ou en soirée propose de bon petit plat mais à un tarifs moins compétitif qu'a l'extérieur mais cela demande de louer un scooter, ce qui est conseillé, vu faible cout à la location.

Nous avons pu séjourner dans 2 types de chambres : la première, face à la mer, était très propre, spacieuse et confortable. La seconde, était la seule chambre avec piscine privée, à l'écart des autres chambres, en hauteur avec vue sur la baie et la plage : un régal !! Si vous pouvez la réserver, n'hésiter pas.

La plage est belle et propre, et à la mi-octobre il n'y a vraiment pas beaucoup de monde aussi bien sur la plage que sur les transats en bord de mer. L'eau est chaude et transparente et permet de profiter des poissons qui viennent se promener autour des quelques rochers qui viennent casés l'horizon de la plage. Masque et tuba recommandé !

Habitacion comoda y limpia pero necesita renovar

La cama de nuestra habitacion no era muy comoda. El colchon se undía por el medio de la cama.
El armario tenia rota la manilla de una de las puertas correderas y un cajon del interior no cerraba bien por tener la guía rota

Très bel hôtel mais...

hôtel très bien, sous forme de chambre bungalow, personnel, service et restaurant sans soucis, calme le soir.
La plage est magnifique en terme d'image mais on ne peut pas vraiment se baigner à cause des rochers présents presque partout. Obligation d'avoir un scooter (très abordable, pratique et dispo sur place) pour aller à Lamai (plage et restos) qui est à 3 mn...Et ça c'est bien.
Il faut donc le savoir !

Unzählige Karkalaken im Zimmmer

Katastrophaler Zustand der Zimmer. Wir haben ein Cottage gemietet und den ganzen Tag und Nacht , Karkalaken im Zimmer und im Bad gejagt. Im Kleiderschrank, am Boden an den Wänden.

Sea perfect

Very good beach infrobt of the hotel. Half part if the sea there is alga. However environment is very beatiful. Going to lamai center about 200 bht. About 3-4 km. Going to airport by taxi 500 bht.
They did not give us a glass of water at 10:15 as the breakfast finished. They said you have to buy! It was a very rude attitude.
