Nice hotel near Lamai beach, which is a more laid back part of the island. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from, but not a lot o shopping choices.

The pool area is nice area to lounge, overlooking the beach.

The breakfast buffet for an additional $11 was a good deal for what you get - a variety of Western & Asian cuisine that was so delicious.

The professional staff are friendly, welcoming & accommodating.

The hotel itself was super clean and tidy. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was really good.
The biggest let down was the beach area, it was a disgusting mess in the ocean and smelt really bad too. Luckily only a really short stay here. Would have been bitterly disappointed if I had booked a 2 week holiday here.

With one major caveat, we loved this property. Nice rooms, beautiful trees, and great facilities for kids. However, the beach is absolutely awful. Completely covered in seaweed and trash. Doesn't look anything like the official pictures. Smells like rotting fish, so it's not enjoyable to hang out in that area. For a beach resort, it's totally unacceptable. Really hope the hotel can work on this, because it's a lovely place otherwise!

Stunning resort (think Raffles styles), our pool view room was beautiful, big bed, balcony etc... good breakfast each day, nice selection. With the beach and main pools being across the road, it was nice and quiet. Pools were great, enough seating.
Great coffee just outside the resort (turn left) - Toast cafe. And great place for lunch (to the right) Limlemon.

We had an excellent stay and would absolutely return. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were honestly amazing. Despite being close to the street, the room was impressively quiet, which made it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep.
The staff throughout the property were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast at Mala restaurant offered a great selection — a highlight was the coffee machine which makes specialty drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, not just basic coffee.
The location is perfect, just steps from the beach. We also spent time at the Edgewater restaurant and beach bar and had a wonderful experience there as well — fantastic drinks, attentive staff, and an amazing beach view.
Overall, this stay felt like great value for the price. Comfortable, clean, welcoming, and perfectly located. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

A lovely hotel in Lami. It is a 10-15 min walk on the road or along the beach to get to the main hustle and bustle of Lami. So this resort is nicely tucked away from it all.

The resort itself is split by the main road that runs around the island, which is a very busy road. However there are traffic security that help you cross at the crossing, so it is not a major issue.

The main hotel is lovely and very colonial in appearance. There is a small pool near the breakfast area. I found it strange that this area was only used for breakfast and that they did not serve and food or drinks here. But it wasnt a problem, it meant we had a nice area to sit with our own drinks and food.

The rooms are very nice. Air con was a bit noisy. We had interconnecting rooms with the kids, which worked great. Only issue for me was that we supposedly had a balcony view. But is was awful. It overlooked some apartments and kitchen in the next building, it also did not have any furniture to sit on (I noticed others did). So it was pointless having the balcony.

The main resort area over the main road was very nice. Nice pools and on the beach. This is not a private beach, so others are around. But it was fine and secure all the same. There was a small pier with a outdoor gym (bit run down) and a massage hut on, which was great. The restaurant food and drinks were lovely, with a huge offering off food inc western plates. The hotel is well maintained, breakfast is good quality, rooms are spacious. Attentive staff - our request to clean the room first thing in the morning was met every day without fail. Crossing the road to the beach was really easy as the two helpers are always there to stop the traffic. Kids club turned out to be amazing with well trained staff that had many ideas and projects on hand. We ended up using the games room on the daily basis for pool and air hockey. We also liked the location as it was super easy to get around and having two 7/11 right there proved really handy.

I took severe vomiting and couldn’t make the trip to Samui, notified the hotel in advance however they refused a cancellation and refund stating that I needed a hospital certificate. Anyone with common sense knows you don’t go to hospital with vomiting, they can’t help. You just drink water and wait for it to pass. The hotel we booked in Koh Tao was totally understanding and gave a refund without fuss. Be warned

The building is really beautiful! The housekeeping does an excellent job of cleaning the room when we were out and about. The staff were very friendly and attentive without hovering. The pools by the beach were beautiful, clean, and pleasant to sit by. The beach is small but private. We found a couple of really delicious restaurants to walk to. Massages both at the Outrigger and nearby were fabulous. It was easy to get a taxi right at the entrance to the hotel.

Nice hotel but way too many children there for me so I left. It was like a children’s breakfast club in the morning and the pool was rather wild lol. You can walk straight on to the beach but unfortunately where we were there was lots of seaweed but if you walked a little bit along Lamai beach it was lovely.

My room was comfortable, clean and perfectly refreshed when I returned from a day by the pool. The manager Uma was always accommodating with any request we had. My 10 nights with friends at the Outrigger went too fast.

To our surprise, the advertised \" Beach Front Hotel\" was divided in two separate entities. The rooms were on opposite side of the beach hence no ocean view. The beach is NOT swimmable. The pools were great yet too many kids all over. Restaurant food was ok. We paid over $260 a night and breakfast was not included like others. Watch out for umbrella falling on you while relaxing at the pool. Management was attentive after it happened. There are two security personnel who stop the traffic for you to cross the road; 24/7 under heat! Thanks to them!!!!

Overall a lovely stay

Outrigger Koh Samui was overall a wonderful stay for our family. The accommodation is nice, with comfortable rooms and overall very clean. Breakfast was good and the Outrigger was good base for our exploration on Koh Samui
Not everything was ideal however - the pool is nice, but needs a good clean up - tiles were coming loose on the sides and bottom (and my daughter cut herself on one), and the insistence on buying everything from the pool bar (even to the point of overpriced drinking water!) wore thin after a few days... they'd do a lot better if their prices at the Edgewater were comparable to other places within a two minute walk - you expect a premium, but not the premium they have. Having to cross the road to the pool is not ideal but honestly there are guys that stop the traffic and it was never an issue.
On top of that on a couple of days we were short towels and water in the room which I wouldn't expect, and someone else's charges got added to our room (which luckily I caught!) so check your receipts
Overall, I'd recommend the Outrigger the issues are small but worth being aware of!
I don't want these little things to overshadow what was ultimately a lovely family stay

The property was lovely & clean but, although I thought I had researched it thoroughly & looked at all the photos I didn’t realise the full property was not on the beach. Accommodation was across a busy main road from the pools, bar & beach. There are staff to cross you over safely but I was still very disappointed when we arrived. The other disappointment was the beach, the small area of sand was full of seaweed & rubbish so we were unable to swim in the sea until our last day. The tide was then changing & taking the seaweed away from the beach & water. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would recommend maybe going later in March/April for the better brach

Recently renovated colonial style resort/hotel with large rooms. Staff is absolutely wonderful, some of the many that come to mind are Ice & Kawee, Non & Tom. Beds were very comfortable with large oversized pillows. Towels were thick & fluffy. The resort was immaculate, staff worked hard to keep it exceptionally clean in all areas. Our room faced the pool in the center of the resort, it was never busy. There is a main pool area located across a busy road however the resort has two crossing guards to ensure everyone's safety as they cross the road. This is the resort's main pool & beachfront access area with lots of lounge chairs & a smaller children's pool with a water slide. It's lovely & includes a bar/restaurant as well as access to paddle boards. The beach in front of the resort is ok, however there is a long walkable beach to the right (facing the water) with great swimming.
Breakfast is served in a dining area at the center of the resort where all the rooms area in a lovely relaxing area. There were lots of options with several hot dishes, breads, cereal, yogurt & fresh fruit, a grill for eggs, bacon etc. They had (3) coffee machines juices, water & chocolate milk.There was definitely something for everyone.
We didn't eat dinner at the resort altho food looked delicious. There are lots of great local restaurants nearby.
I used the gym several times while we were there, it was never busy & was open 24/7. There's a nice games room with ping pong, billiards & air hockey.

A great place to stay , on the edge of Lamai , a mile from the centre of the strip. Excellent amenities, beautiful pools. The staff are very friendly and so welcoming, great advice for surrounding areas etc… Also walking distance to Silver beach where the sea is very clear and warm.

Absolutely not a 5 star hotel lol. 3*. And not a resort either haha! The main pool is across the main dangerous road, handled by another company.

The pictures are extremely old. Rooms and areas are outdated. Broken tiles, dirt marks everywhere. Dining area is all open so all the lovely mosquitoes join you for food.

Room floorboard creeks. You only get 2 water bottles per day.

Breakfast is standard 3* chain basic food.

Staff are lovely and helpful. Cleaning staff can only do so much. Whole hotel needs to be urgently renovated. Rooms smell of damp when raining. Bathrooms exteremly small and icky.

Absolutely nothing good or nice surrounding this hotel.

Basically like a Blackpool bed and breakfast.

Our room was spacious, separate living area. Lounge was great with cocktail hour.
Location is in between chaweng n lamai. Laundry machine next door is convenient. But everything else would be approx10 mins walk, rent a bike is very hardly there.

The only thing we didn’t like is the breakfast section. Below average.
