Facilitates really good, Quan spa awesome, pool very nice, and fun activities. Ocean villas were great and highly recommended and staff always eager to please. The downside is construction in rear of facility and had to change rooms, which worked out very good. The beach is OK since frequently low tide and not really swimmable. Pool was really nice, and people very friendly.

Our deluxe garden view room was wonderful. No complaints. Spacious, clean and lots of storage. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The beach was just WOW! It truly was paradise at the pool and beach. Music selections were great and we appreciated happy hours bargains. Breakfast was outstanding. Truly can’t say enough positive things about this resort. Tawann was lovely as well as live music on the beach. Would have loved to stay longer.

The property was beautiful, the staff was phenomenal and the food was amazing. We had a wonderful bungalow with a private pool. The bungalow was big and comfortable and the grounds are just beautifully kept. I think the best part was the staff- they were so friendly, accommodating and helpful- every single one! It was my daughter’s 21at and they surprised her with a piece of cake and cake made of them led and flowers on the bed. We loved staying here!

Wonderful, wonderful staff throughout the complex. Everyone is so polite, helpful, professional, efficient, friendly - every request is catered for immediately and pleasantly. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the hotel team who pride themselves on looking after their guests to the highest standards.
We stayed in a garden villa with its own plunge pool. Excellent facilities! Very comfortable accommodation with everything you would want - and much more.
The toiletries are all provided on a daily basis, fresh towels and bedding are standard and are all excellent quality.

The mini bar, room service and room refreshments are excellent and very good value.

The restaurants and pool bar are all fantastic and serve the most delicious food and drinks.
The presentation of every meal was impeccable.

The Spa is one of the best we’ve ever visited around the world due to the standard of the therapists and their wonderful treatments we enjoyed there daily.
They all seemed to have an uncanny understanding of individual clients' muscle aches or mood and instinctively remedy any stress.

Housekeeping and the 'nighttime turn down service' is second to none….absolutely excellent! Professional, discreet, efficient and reliable. Cleanliness was superb throughout our stay with daily fresh bedding and huge fluffy towels.

The chauffeurs and hotel cars are fantastic, prompt and reliable.

Would love to visit the beachside complex again in the future.

Great beach and swimming area. One of the best beach resorts in the world. Can walk up to the waste in the water for hundreds of meters in all directions. Free kayaks. Breakfast was great. The food at the bar was exceptional, with the sea bass dish out of this world. Rooms are spacious and have an outdoor bathtub. The only issue with the room is that it is a bit of a walk to the beach. Otherwise an amazing resort with great staff, beach, and food.

The service at Renaissance was nothing short of exceptional. All the staff were so lovely and accommodating. They took every step to make our holiday extra special. The food on site was excellent. I am already making plans to go back to Thailand JUST to revisit Renaissance. The buildings and facilities are a little older- but that didn't bother me as everything was still neat and tidy. I understand there are plans to upgrade in the near future. Thank you to everyone at Renaissance!

The property is okay but is starting to show its age. The view out to the pacific is fantastic, the spa was great but the food is limited and the chef focuses on presentation rather than taste.

We last visited the Renaissance in 2020 and this visit surpassed all our expectations. To be met on arrival by familiar faces (Chin, thank you for making our visit so special) and as everyone mentions, all of the staff are so amazing, helpful and brilliant. We just wanted to relax and enjoy the great location, the beautifully maintained gardens, and the pool/beach area. Across the hotel, it is so easy to fall into the relaxed vibe, ably helped by the amazing Zee and the pool bar team, and of course Gift and Beam covering breakfast. A special mention has to go to the 4pm cocktails on the beach - there is no better way of starting the evening in such beautiful surroundings! We split our stay between the deluxe rooms and a beachfront villa, and whilst the deluxe rooms are really good, the view from the sea front villa was simply breathtaking. Thank you team Renaissance for giving us a perfect holiday!

Wonderful stay for our honeymoon!

We stayed 6 nights at the Renaissance Koh Samui for our honeymoon and we highly recommend it! Our villa was very comfortable, the amenities were great, and the environment was very beautiful.

We also enjoyed the beachside pool, the massages we got at the spa, and all the food we ate at their restaurants.

We booked a number of experiences outside of the hotel (not through the hotel), specifically a cruise around Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, a Thai cooking class, and a visit to an elephant sanctuary, and all of them were able to pick us up directly from the hotel.

Hotel made an error in our reservation which was very frustrating and disappointing as it was made 8 months before stay and reconfirmed weeks before the stay. We were only told about the error when we were checking in at night which made alternative options very difficult. Other than that, hotel had great staff hospitality and friendliness.

We stayed over NYE and from the moment we got there, it was luxurious!
From service to accommodation to food, by far the best hotel in the islands!
We had a private villa with a private pool in the garden section (highly recommend for privacy) and it felt like a movie! From the giant room and beautiful pool and bes and shower...so many amazing amenities!
The property is stunning and the beach is so great!
The food is unbelievable!!
The morning buffet is epic!
The hotel staff, to management to attendants and all so lovely!

A great hotel in a quiet area outside of the Lamai Beach area. The hotel staff were amazing and very helpful throughout our stay. Food from their onsite restaurant Tawan was outstanding and affordably priced. My only issues with the hotel room was the lighting seemed a bit dim everywhere and the water temperature in the shower was impossible to get cold at all.

Set in a beautiful tropical setting, Renaissance Koh Samui's attention to detail is impeccable! The staff are absolutely lovely! From Tai our room attendant, to Sun, Deh and Tony, we felt well looked after. The beach is very private though the sea is a bit shallow. The inclusive menu could do with changing a bit more often but you could also go for the A la carte menu and there are restaurants close by with excellent food! We wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommended!

The grounds were amazing but what really made this stat incredible was the level of service and kindness of the staff. My boyfriend and I are vegan and they made sure to accommodate our needs every single morning, going above and beyond to make us special dishes. The yoga class we took was great and the Thai massage class was incredible, as well.

So much potential, but just a poor quality facility. We booked a king size bed, but got 2 twin mattresses succeed together. Had to move rooms where we were told it was a real king size only to be 2 more twins with a better mattress topper. Hallways were dark and the floors were dirty. It really needs to be power washed. There was a rat nest in the eaves of our balcony. Lots of dilapidated fixtures and awkward parts to rooms. A road cuts through the facility so lots of road noise too. Staff was inexperienced and not very accommodating. Only good staff was Max who took care of us very well. We wound up leaving early and moving to a much nicer resort for our final night even though we paid for the night here. Won't be back.

We recently stayed at Renaissance for 8 nights,it was a beautiful hotel with 2 nice pools,all the credit to staff who made our stay wonderful with their smiles and unparalleled service.The morning breakfast buffet was great with terrific spread,choices of food and fresh juices.The hotel food was decent with choice of three restaurants.
it was a peaceful stay although surrounding area not too great and beach area not swim able but hotel ambiance and gardens very relaxing and enjoyable.Thanks for upgrading us to pool villas our kids had great time.Thank you Renaissance for a memorable stay,Definitely recommend.

The Renaissance is well laid out and set among beautiful tropical gardens. We had an ocean villa which had beautiful views looking towards Lamai which we enjoyed whilst in the plunge pool / spa. The resort is a little isolated (when compared with say hotels near Bophut) but there are some options around (such as the Beach Republic and Uncle Rangs) and it is only about a 15-20 walk along to northern end of Lamai. The food at the hotel restaurants was of good quality and the staff are excellent. Overall a very enjoyable stay

We enjoyed a two week holiday at the end of Nov 2018. The staff at this hotel are fantastic. They made us feel so welcome and valued. The food was amazing, we ate at the pool bar and the two restaurants and could not fault any of it. The pool is lovely and warm and looks out onto the small but perfect beach. The road leading up to the hotel was undergoing maintenance which caused a minor issue but is very likely all completed by now. I would highly recommend this hotel and spa. The two hour spa was the perfect way to relax..

Very nice - would go back again. Mosquitos annoying! Maybe more coupd be done about that in the Bedroom? GREAT room and views. Good rgat tgey did Coke and Pepsi (Urghh). Did run out of Coke a couple of times and no Coke in Mini Bar. I REALLy enjoyed my stay (Never left the Hotel!). Snorkelling disappinting and I think coral Bleaching a problem? (Global Warming :-(). Final gripe, PLEASE put Prawn Satays on theMenu if you want me back!

Great resort complex near Lamai Beach

Spent a week with family at this resort. It's in a good location and though hotel has most amenities there are local restaurants worth a visit. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to both Lamai and Chewang Beaches conveniently timed for shopping and the night markets. Booked a worthwhile tour operated by hotel staff to discover more of the Thai culture. Water sports include a pool bar, a 50m lap pool, kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach though picturesque sees water levels sometimes very low hampering swimming and kayaking.

We stayed here 3 nights recently, the hotel is fabulous, room was very comfortable, bed was great, as was the air con, the grounds / walled gardens are beautiful, with 2 great swimming pools, and a stunning private beach, the breakfast which was included with our room was fantastic also, so much choice, and always great service, and that’s what sets this hotel apart from others we stayed at on our trip, the lovely people who work there, they really made us feel welcome and special, always had a smile for you, nothing was too much trouble for them, they really are an asset to the hotel..
would recommend the renaissance hotel to any of my family and friends, and will definitely be going back for a stay again..

Door to balcony and jacussy have a big hole for mosquito to fly in
and too many stone on the beach

Perfect getaway

It was absolutely amazing. We had two pool villas. Room 103 is the one to ask for as the perfect villa - full on ocean and pool view. Great service, food and drinks. Location close enough to two major shopping areas.

Unbelievable Hospitality.

We had a fantastic 9 night stay with the standout feature of the property being the exceptionally warm service from all the staff. The food was excellent and the villa very comfortable with great views. Capu and Luknam made us feel part of their family!

Great location

The hotel service was excellent and the location ideal. The hotel has however \"aged\" a bit and could do with some upgrades!! Restaurants were good and again service excellent!

Excellent service

Besides a minor bump with the air conditioner not dropping below a certain threshold, the hotel itself was a breath of fresh air. The hospitality was phenomenal; they switched our room and provided us with complementary fruit and champagne for our inconvenience.

Highly recommend this hotel for a quiet*, relaxing time in Thailand.

Amazing week in Samui !

From the arrival to the departure everything was absolutely perfect. The beach, the pools, the room, the hotel, the staff and the food (especially the breakfast) everything was amazing. I will recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to Koh Samui ! Will book it again if I come back one day.

Amazing hotel

The hotel was beautiful as it was close to the beach and the staff were very friendly, which made me feel like I was at home. There was a lot of variety in terms of food. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful hospitality

Comfy bed and pillows. Honey and the other hotel employees were lovely, and helpful. Beautiful beach and clean pool with lovely landscaping. Long commute from our room to the beach and pool.

Nice hotel with great facilities and staff

Great experience. Don't think any more. This is tha place to stay if you want to relax and rest. Great for family, couples and friends. Superb service and a 5 minutes ride to great restaurants and lamai city.
