The mature tropical gardens surrounding the pool are just beautiful. It’s an excellent pool area. The staff there is incredible and the beach set up is great. We had a view of the ocean through the trees a little bit, The lobby smelled terrible like some very strong floor cleaning fluid and my room had a smell of dank, moldy sour beach side stale moist air.

Beautiful resort. Grounds areas are well maintained- very classy. The chairs be the pool and beach have a thick pad; easy with a towel chair cover. We rented a cabana on the beach, food and drinks available. The beach in front of hotel was very nice. We rented bikes on 31st street and rode to dinner down the bike path.
Beds, sheets and pillows very comfortable! Only negative- one elevator was not working which made busy to get up and down from room. Breakfast was great and Lunch was delicious. I would definitely return and recommend for a romantic getaway or fun with friends. Great location on A1A ; on the one way end so not so busy.

The hotel is beautiful. There is valet parking and a fifty dollar a night fee and a resort fee as well. The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond. The beach was awesome with loungers and umbrellas. The pool is amazing too. There is a walkway that runs along the beach that goes for miles. Many walkable restaurants nearby. A beautiful resort made for relaxation!

I have been going to this hotel for the last 20 years and I say this with such disappointment that I will never go there again. From the beginning of check in the service at the front desk they were so rude!!! To the service at the restaurant the food used to be delicious unfortunately not anymore to the house keeping that barely showed up i couldn’t get toilet paper for three days. The spa was a huge waste of time but that’s what happens when you don’t hire a professional masseuse but charge the price for one. I don’t know what happened to this place that used to be so nice and I used to look forward to going there with family and friends over the years, I have pictures of my daughter there since she was a baby in the pool with friends and she’s now 20 years old. Great hotel. Great location for a family of 10 including grandparents. Very accessible to beach and the main strip. Access to the boardwalk was perfect for morning walks and access to the restaurants and stores. Hotel size was perfect. Not too big and clean.

Even the city view king room had a minor view of the ocean as well as the bay so it’s very pretty out this corner window. If you can get a corner room then that’s the best deal in the place.

Overall presentation was underwhelming for $26. They do not serve lattes or espresso in the restaurant so they’re below average coffee is all they offer. A big disappointment. They said to order a to go coffee drink from the snack bar in the lobby and bring it to the table. Otherwise the room was nicely appointed with a separate toilet room and large walk-in shower with vanity in a separate room. Price paid was $295 including the $40 hotel fee for amenities.

My second stay at the Palms. Rooms are OK, bathrooms small and a bit strange - the toilet is separate from the shower and wash basin. The pool area is pleasant enough, but after about 3pm (in winter) is shaded by the tall tower block next door. The hotel’s beach area is very nicely done - more attractive to my eye than the overly crowded beach at the (much more expensive) Faena Hotel next door. All in all, pretty good value for money for Miami Beach but the quality of the food was nothing like as good as it was when I stayed there a year ago. I was told that the previous chef had left…

I left within an hour of checking in. The room smelled musty or moldy. I was trying to inquire if they had room service. No one would answer the phone. Eventually dialing zero it would ring forever and eventually just hang up. When I went to the front desk to complain about it being one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in the woman at the front desk replied that she completely believed me and got the manager who did let us check out without charge and leave which I’m grateful for.

I never wrote reviews, but this will be the exception because this place is a gem! The staff, the vibe, and the overall experience was that of a much more expensive resort. The service is exceptional! I love a resort with great service and I’m willing to pay a premium for that experience, but here you don’t have to.
The only downsides I can think of is that there is not hot tub and no complementary bicycles like other resorts.. but honestly those things are minor compared to all the benefits.
I can’t overstate how phenomenally helpful the staff was. Bartenders, poolside service, beach attendants, front desk, concierge, bellhops… I could go on and on. A 10/10!

I've stayed here several times because I really like the hotel, staff and service. Thistl time I had an incident occur with one of the front desk managers and his attitude but fortunately the next day I spoke with another manager who resolved the situation to my satisfaction.
My only real complaint and regret was that the bathrooms on the main lobby level where the restaurant was had been closed for renovations and it was a huge inconvenience to have to keep going up and down the stairs or wait on an elevator. There should be 2 bathrooms on that level but it was what it was.
I did enjoy the food in the restaurant and the staff but I do wish the menu was more expensive with more food choices for the entree's!!
