Great hotel for my solo trip - really well located, nice breakfast buffet included (delicious mini pastel de nata!), the room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom, attentive and friendly staff. Would have been nice to have coffee facilities in the bedroom for first thing in the morning, but they do have a machine in the lobby. Overall a great place to stay.

It was a perfect stay at the hotel. The hotel is located in a central area, close to shopping and Central square,with plenty of dining options. The room maintenance was excellent, and the staff was very helpful. In the hotel lobby, tea and coffee are available around the clock, including cakes and cookies. The breakfast is excellent, and what was important is that they constantly checked that everything was available and added more as needed. In one word, recommended.

Urbana FLH Hotels Lisboa clearly exceeded our expectations. We arrived at 9am from the rain and cold outside, and Felipe at the front desk was most welcoming. He was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. When he was not able to find a room available at that hour for the category that we have booked, he upgraded us to another room that was available, thus allowing us to check in early. He also invited us to enjoy the wonderful breakfast!
The hotel is very well located, within walking distance to many of the attractions in Lisbon. The room is clean, simple and tasteful. The hotel serves delicious cakes, pastries and cookies along with tea and coffee during the afternoon, which added to the enjoyment especially after a long day of touring and sightseeing.
FLH stands for Feels Like Home and they truly live up to their slogan!

The Urbano FLH (short for Feels Like Home, their tagline) was in a good location in the Baixa area of Lisbon, very close to the Praça do Comércio Lisbon's main square. The rooms were a bit small, but adequate considering the time spent in the room. Staff was quite friendly and helpful, and the Continental Breakfast they served each morning was outstanding. There were many options to choose from, and although there were only small daily variations, there were enough choices that we were not bored of them in the 5 mornings we were there. There were also many restaurants in the immediate area and walking the city was easy from there. It is in a busy area of Lisbon and the noise at night wasn't completely blocked by the double-paned windows.

There is, however, one negative thing that detracted from our stay. The hotel lobby and all the hallways had electronic fragrance dispensers that were quite strong scented and operated 24/7. We are sensitive to these fragrances and became congested over time. The scent was so strong for us, that despite it not being in the individual rooms, it pervaded our clothes and luggage completely and has not dissipated even several days after departing.

We booked a room at Memoria Lisboa FLH Hotels for two nights following a Norwegian cruise. Unfortunately, our flights home were cancelled due to an Air Canada airline strike. There was no room at Memoria, but staff found us a room at their nearby sister hotel FLH Hotels Urbano. The strike continued for over a week, and we were finally able to get flights home to Canada 9 days later. Staff at both Memoria and Urbano were great! They found us rooms in their hotels during the busy summer season. We had to change rooms and even hotels several times, but the staff moved our luggage every time. It made the swaps so much easier for us. Staff were all friendly, spoke excellent English, and were so very, very helpful.

For us, the Urbano location was a bit better. It was located within easy walking distance of restaurants and the Plaza, along level streets (an important consideration for my wife on crutches). In both hotels, the rooms were nice, and included breakfast at no extra cost. At other times of the day, self serve cake and cookies were provided, along with coffee and tea.

We highly recommend FLH Hotels, and will not hesitate to stay with them once again if the opportunity arises.

I booked FLH Urbano Hotel through Expedia because it was advertised as recently renovated. I even double-checked photos from both the hotel and past guests on other platforms to make sure it looked clean and updated. Unfortunately, what I walked into was far from what was promised.

Upon arrival, I was hit with a strong musty odor in the room. Within minutes, I suffered an asthma attack due to mold exposure. I requested a room change, but every room I was shown had the same issue—visible mold, dampness, and poor air quality. I had no choice but to leave and book another hotel for my health and safety.

The frustration didn’t end there. FLH Urbano Hotel refused to issue a refund and told me to go through Expedia. I did, but Expedia never received a response from the hotel, and I was left with no refund and no resolution. So now I’ve paid for two hotels, even though I couldn’t stay at the first one due to a legitimate medical concern.

This was not just disappointing—it was infuriating. The lack of accountability and basic hygiene is unacceptable. If you value your health, your money, and your peace of mind, do not stay here.

Totally inflexible experience. I had booked a non-refundable room, and 10 days before check-in, I contacted the hotel to request a change of dates—not a refund. The new dates were available and the hotel declined the change.

It felt as though they were trying to rebook the room: I had to follow up for check-in instructions they were supposed to send “shortly,” and after one night of no-show, they contacted me asking whether I’d be arriving for the second night.

Very disappointing customer service with no consideration for a reasonable and timely request.

Excellent location within a 10 minute walk of the cruise terminal (Jardim do Tabaco) without any of the hills Lisbon is known for. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived well before check-in time and let us store our luggage until the room was ready. The breakfast was amazing with fruit salad, eggs, yoghurt, juice and Portuguese pastries. They also provided coffee and cake in the afternoon. We had no trouble with street noise. There are several restaurants in the neighbourhood for dinner. Maria Cantita is fabulous but helps to have a reservation. Highly recommend getting a 24 pass from Tourist Information for 31 euros which gets you on all forms of transportation and access to 51 tourist sites including museums, castles etc. When it comes time to leave Lisbon allow 3 hrs. We weren’t prepared for the 1 hr line for passport check after going thru security.

Location and staff are excellent. I felt rooms are very small other than that this place is very clean and walkable to a lot of places in Lisbon downtown. I will stay again if opportunity is presented.

Front desk person Philip was OUTSTANDING! He pointed us to a very close shop where we could get an inexpensive international SIM card AND helped us install it. He also walked me through how to save about half on our train tickets to Porto. So impressed with this young man I tipped him $20. He appeared very grateful.

Friendly place

Close to the waterfront, near the cruise boats. There was an acceptable walk to the main sights. The famous tram passed very close and relatively empty at this point. Easy street parking.

This wonderful boutique hotel was perfect for me. The location was excellent for walking to the waterfront, restaurants, bakeries, Hop On Buses etc. Staff went above & beyond to assist me with anything I needed. Delicious breakfasts!
