The Room: This was a family stay over for my wife with my 2 young children. In the room the mattress's where absolutely awfull ive stayed in 100s of hotels never rarely have a problem but the mattress was like a deflated water bed. The room had no phone in it so had to do room service by going down stairs asking the reception then to be sent to the bar and restaurant and ordering food. As for the noise the neighbour was up making noise on the phone till 2:30am and the room above was banging and slamming doors till 3am, the walls arnt correctly sound proofed, there was no phone in room as stated previously so i could call reception. As for the view disgusting on a old dump derelict building for materials and a scrap yard style car park where staff where outside smoking talking till 1am. The plus was the bathroom was really clean and nice but didnt enjoy the stay an wont stay again highly disappointed even with being a marriott bonvoy member.

Hotel was lovely but I had no running water in my room in the evening, this meant I couldn’t wash or shower, when I raised with staff I was told they will bring me some bottles to help but currently the water is down

Lovely staff and warm welcome to the hotel. NCP within 200yrds for parking if you can't park at the hotel .. you get the reduced rate of £20/ day in the NCP. Drop off avaliable outside the hotel. Shops and restaurant's all within 150yrds .. some of which are really nice. Pubs and city centre all very close. Perfect location for business and pleasure.

The hotel itself is lovely, everything is spotless and the staff cant do enough to help. The breakfast the following morning was delicious. Would highly recommend 👌

Overall the hotel and room were great, however, the bed wasn't very comfortable - a king size made of two singles that just dipped into a hole where they joined. Also, only three tea bags (in a double room booked for 2) so we had to re-use one for breakfast as we had a cup of tea on arrival. I probably could have phoned reception but it seemed a lot of fuss I shouldn't have had to really.

The room and hotel were lovely but unfortunately it was freezing cold as no heating working. Looking at feedback it is a common complaint. We were brought a radiator but it could only be plugged in opposite side of room so pretty useless. We were told changing rooms want an option quite rudely so will not be back as being very cold isnt comfortable.

Good but usually brilliant!

Been this hotel many time which reflect on our previous experiences of staying here. The shine was time off this time when going for breakfast(a quite time) we were told abruptly to wait for a couple of minutes, until the member of staff was ready. She then proceeded to have several conversations with other people at our expense; we stood for around 5-7 minutes. We just found this poor customer service.

Molly Jenks was very helpful and efficient when I needed to upgrade from single occupancy to two people staying. The building is characterful and the room was excellent although some noise travelled from upstairs. The bathroom was brilliant for anyone with temporary or permanent mobility problems; it had a large walk in shower that was easy to operate and the bathroom was stylish a very clean. The room also had a huge, wall mounted TV which, unfortunately, I didn’t have time to watch.

Fantastic hotel, easy to walk to pretty much anything, though it is at the edge of Manchester proper. The free #1 bus provides a great connection to Piccadilly unless it’s rush hour, then it’s faster to walk. There is lots of new construction in the area giving it a weird corporate architecture vibe crossed with the industrial history of the town.
