I stayed with Jim and Jenny here as my friends were at The Inn in Grasmere. As a single traveler I took the smaller double room. This was perfect for me, clean, tidy and super quiet looking over to the garden. The best bit of the room was the amazingly comfortable bed. What I enjoyed most was the wonderful hospitality-Jim and Jenny are a true team and nothing too much trouble. They make superb scrambled egg with chrizio too! Great value for money, brilliant location right in the centre and near the bus stop for onward travel in Lakes - would definitely recommend and stay again!

The property is picture perfect with a creek running next to it and a nice back garden ideal for relaxing. It's located in the heart of the village so everything is only a few steps away but it doesn't feel busy. The best thing about Beck Allans is the owners, Jenny and Jim. What a great place to stay! The guest house is located in the heart of Grasmere and it’s overlooking a river - very peaceful. Jim and Jen are the best! There was cake on arrival and the breakfast was so tasty. We will certainly be recommending to others.

I would highly recommend the Beck Allans Guesthouse. The room facilities were perfect, from the cleanliness to the high quality linens & towels to the very comfortable bed! For breakfast, everything was locally sourced and the continental breakfast was excellent! Our hosts Jenny and Jim were very welcoming and friendly with lots of advice for walks and places to visit & Jenny's flapjack was a welcome treat. The guesthouse was in a great location, right in the centre of Grasmere overlooking the river, with lots of places to eat very close by without having to travel by car. Booked as part of a long weekend with my partner in the Lake District. Perfectly situated in the middle of Grasmere for easy access to local amenities, walks round nearby Grasmere/Rydal lake or for adventurous trips further afield. Jim and Jenny are fantastic hosts. Very friendly and considerate. Breakfast was superbly cooked and very filling, using the best produce. The bedroom had plenty of storage space and had the most comfortable bed. The location is slap in the middle of Grasmere. They recommended places to eat. We went to Tweedies, which was pricey but good food. We would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Jenny and Jim made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived with a nice coffee and homemade flapjack. They are so accommodating and their knowledge of the local area is really good. Beck Allans is in a lovely peaceful location in tphe centre of Grasmere, with a lovely stream running by and very friendly ducks who frequently visit. Our room was very comfortable and well maintained, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and the bathroom was lovely too. Lots of local personnel touches made the stay really enjoyable, from Lake District toiletries to the amazing breakfasts that contained all locally sourced produce. We arrived a bit early but were allowed to leave the car at the on-site parking. Very warmely welcomed in the Guesthouse. The owners are super helpful and willing to go extra mile to deliver fantastic service!

We stayed for 3nights at this property and everything was amazing. The location was in the centre of Grasmere and so peaceful. The property is ideally situated and our room looked over the river.It was spotlessly clean with lots of storage space. There are lots of eating places but for evening meals it s probably wise to book. Jim and Jenny were the perfect hosts super friendly but not overpowering. They made us feel so at home.Jim s cooked breakfast was amazing and Jenny s lemon cake was deliciously moresome. We cannot fault our stay in Grasmere and are so glad we found this gem of a property.
