This was our first stay at this property which was very conveniently located within Ambleside. We were warmly welcomed at the properly and had a lovely room, very comfortable and smart. There was plenty of space to store clothes and the bathroom and other room. I have only left off a rating for the Eco-friendliness because I wasn’t really paying attention to this aspect of our stay so isn’t really fair to rate. I didn’t observe anything eco-unfriendly at the property. Our room facilities were excellent. Our hosts were very knowledgeable of the local area and gave us some useful help and advice as well as being very friendly. Breakfast was excellent also. Will definitely visit again.

Brantfell House was very clean and very comfortable. The room is cosy but big enough for a couple with a large suitcase. The hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly, providing local recommendations and banter. They offer a packed lunch for a reasonable price if you're going hiking, and the breakfast was home cooked and yum. I really liked some of the tiny thoughtful touches, like providing a dark coloured face washer specifically labelled \"Makeup Remover\". There was lots of thought put into the stay here!

Fantastic short break.
We had a fantastic 5 night stay. The location in Ambleside is perfect, as it’s only a short walk into town with plenty of choices to eat and drink. There are some fantastic walks straight from the house, or an easy drive. Mandy and Ade are brilliant hosts - the breakfasts are superb and you can’t beat local knowledge for walks, or food and drink. We’ll definitely be back!

I am a Gold Member at Hotels.com & never leave reviews on the many hotels I stay at across Europe each week. However I just felt I had to give Brantfell House a glowing report for other travellers thinking of visiting this wonderful small hotel/guest house. From the minute we arrived for my first vacation in a year the hosts Mandy and Adi made us so welcome with free parking pass at several car parks across the region an added bonus. The bedroom was to a very high standard in cleanliness and facilities
plus the bathroom was exceptionally clean with a great power shower too. Breakfasts were brilliant and kept us going all day until dinner time. I would thoroughly recommend Brantfell House to couples, groups or individuals, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely 4 night break in this super clean and comfortable b&b in the perfect location in beautiful Ambleside. Room was great with a comfortable bed, good WiFi and super powerful shower. We had a fantastic stay with Mandy and Aide at Brantfell who are, quite simply, perfect hosts. We were made to feel welcome from the very start and soon felt \"part of the family\". They have an extensive knowledge of the town and surrounding areas and are very helpful if you're looking for some advice for sightseeing or a good pub/restaurant.
The house is very central to Ambleside so it is very easy to get into the town by walking and you have easy access to all the main roads so that exploring other parts of the Lake District (whether by local transport or self driving) is very simple.
The room was very comfortable and had everything you need for a short, relaxing break. Breakfast is more than enough for setting your self up for the day.
We look forward to returning to Amblelside and will be sure to book in at Brantfell House again.

Our stay at aide and mandy’s guesthouse was fantastic, they are 2 of the kindest people you will meet, offering useful recommendations for all aspects of the local area and even taking our wet clothes for drying after a soggy walk up scafell pike! Room was incredibly comfortable and well equipped. The guesthouse is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of ambleside with a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. We will definitely be staying again.

I had room 6, which was almost at the top of the house and had great views over the hills. The room had its own seating area as well as a really comfy bed and well-equipped shower room. Toiletries were provided and big, fluffy towels. The room was also beautifully decorated. The choice of breakfast was really good as well, I was spoilt for choice.

The guest house was spotlessly clean and the owners take great pride in the decor and appearance of the property.
Check in was great and information was given freely as to places to eat and visit.
Great care was also taken regarding Covid safety.
The room, although not very large, had everything required. It was well decorated, spotlessly clean and in very good order.
Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice of menu.
I will have no hesitation in staying there again and highly recommend it.

We stayed here after a day trecking in the Hills. The Bedrooms are small but modern, well decorated with a very comfortable double bed and a good bathroom. The Hosts were very friendly and helpfull and the breakfast is excellent. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Brantfell House is in the centre of Ambleside. Our hosts Mandy and Adie made us feel very welcome. The room was comfy and served us well for the two nights we stayed there. There is not parking on the property but Mandy lets you have access to a parking permit so you can park nearby and other parking areas in the Lake District. The breakfast was fab. Overall a great place to stay.

Very clean, well presented room (we stayed in room number 1) - small and compact yet decorated to a very nice standard. Lovely bathroom with a good shower. The bed was comfortable and standard of the bedding was superior. Really nice hosts, friendly and welcoming. Check in and check out times were an added bonus. We find a lot of places in the lakes are cheeky with their check in and out times e.g 4 o'clock and 10 o'clock. We would recommend this B&B to others, it's in a great location too with parking nearby.
