Great location before the castle

The location is excellent . If you want to see the Castle and other excursion. Plus it’s next to marina for various boat tours. Shops and restraints walkable distance. But it’s far from Jamaica beach. The breakfast is excellent, staff helpful. There is a spa in tge hotel but did not have a chance to use it.

I’m not someone who normally writes reviews and I hate complaining, but we couldn’t wait to check out of this hotel. The rooms were clean but the rest of the hotel is tired. The pool is a thermal pool which has sulphur in it, sadly this makes the whole hotel smell really badly of egg. I’d read reviews about an egg smell previously and I thought people were over reacting, but they weren’t, it was very bad. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The food was awful. We are aged 30 and all other guests were 70 . The pool also tarnished my jewellery, my fault for wearing it but I didn’t realise the pool was thermal until I got in and there were no signs to indicate this. My jewellery is badly damaged. We read lots of positive reviews before arriving so we were looking forward to staying, but sadly it was a terrible experience. Lake Garda itself is beautiful, would recommend visiting the lake but do not stay at this hotel.

Il comodino è scomodo. Non c'è un solo cassetto dentro. Vorrei che la piscina fosse aperta almeno dalle 7.30. È possibile mettere le zanzariere alle finestre in modo da poter arieggiare la stanza e dormire con la finestra aperta?

Great location just outside the historic centre. The room was clean but was on the small side and we couldn’t open two suitcases without having to move one to the bed. The thermal spa was amazing and the spa facilities were great, there is just an unfortunate egg smell which can’t be helped. Overall I would recommend.

3/5 we would score this stay.

The smell was something else. I couldn’t describe it other than it was constant, put us off eating and made us feel sick. I struggled to breath well throughout the stay.

Thankfully it wasn’t that obvious in our room.
Room was clean, bed was decent, ok size.

Food was good. Smell was terrible in the dining area and majorly puts you off eating, it’s like rotten egg.

We arrived very early due to flight and wasn’t able to check in early. We waited hours at the hotel. They did offer for us to stay longer the next day which was very appreciated.

It’s out of season, we didn’t know this. So everything mainly is shut and there’s not much about.

It is very dated decor in the communal areas, very random seating and you almost don’t know what to do with yourself when you’re there.

The hotel has been renovated. Replaced furniture. Unfortunately, the capacity of the furniture has decreased, and there are no drawers in the bedside tables. There are no hooks for towels and bathrobes in the bathroom.
Also reduced the opening hours of the pool and spa. Now open from 9.00 to 19.00 (previously worked from 8.00 to 20.00). It is very uncomfortable

This is a very traditional homely hotel. Although.iy is old fashioned and a little tired its absolutely spotlessly clean. Its in the most amazing position , just two buildings away from the castle so its super convenient. Lovely stay

Perfect location.

Hotel location is really perfect, just 100 m from old town. Nice and clean hotel, and very good service. Pool area was clean and perfect for couples. Only negative thing was that room was quite small and bed was very small and not very comfortable.

Not sure if there was a problem with the hotel when we were there, as nobody mentioned it. But unfortunately it really, really smelt of sulphur. It is a thermal hotel, but even being on the top floor we could still smell it very strongly through the corridor and into our room. unfortunately the hotel WIFI didn’t make it to our room, only downstairs in the lobby. Staff were fantastic and the location is incredible.

The Hotel was lovely, staff were very helpful and accommodating. Restaurant service was amazing fast and great dishes. Mostly elderly people at this location which didn’t bother me. Only issue is not Wi-Fi in the room and very bad cellphone reception. Hotel management mentioned say this will come at end of Q4 2021. Would stay again.

Better than AAA!

We left the rental car's lights on and killed the battery. Went to the front desk and asked for help. Within 10 minutes, their staff brought out the company car and cables and have us a jump start. No extra charge. Excellent service!

Booked the last Expedia room which turned out to be a room with many problems, shower, air conditioning unit, and phone. After complaining apart from the tiny room, I believe my room was functioning the best. Staff were excellent. Attention to the restaurant. Even though it was very good, ask to see the amount of your bill after every meal. It will save surprises at the end. The thermal was excellent. After s few days you didn’t want to leave.

Thermal pool hotel in Great location

I was very positively surprised. Reviews were mixed. It was much cheaper than the other spa hotels, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Yes, it's a bit rundown, scrapes in walls, etc. But very clean and very comfortable. Receptionist was super friendly and helped me with anything I needed. The room was adequate, bed very comfortable, bathroom in good shape. My room - the cheapest available - had a terrace with gorgeous views.
Yes, there is sulfur smell throughout the hotel - it's a spa hotel with thermal bath, so it's obvious. That's why you stay at that hotel.
The thermal pool was awesome. Very relaxing and it really helped with my sore muscles.
Dinner and breakfast were nice, service very fast. Breakfast included, dinner is an ok price. They promote healthy food but also have various choices of breads and sweets for those who want.
It really feels like home, cozy and friendly.
You are right by the public bus stop and right by the castle and entrance to the old Town.

The hotel is in a beautiful area of Sirmione. It is a spa hotel which provides various applications. We did need an adjustment to the sulphur smell in the air which is part of the Spa applications. The room was relatively small and unfortunately there is no Wi-fi service in the room. For business travel this is not ideal. The staff was very very friendly and the location was close to the old part of simeoni which offers plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities. For the price level we would have expected a little more however it was a good stay.

We thought we had stayed at a retirement home, everyone there was over 70 wearing white towelling robes, the pool is not for swimming but a thermal pool where shower caps required.......so much for a fresh dip in the pool not! Rooms tiny , shower even smaller.....@$AUD350 night don’t stay here!!! Breakfast included was dry tasteless attempt at a croissants only benefit was cramped parking. We had to ask for a room change from carpark view to water view. They could not even change a 10 euro note when I needed small change for highway, so unhelpful. Really disappointing.....highly recommend NOT booking this hotel.

Great location, and a nice hotel. It was a wellness and spa hotel which I enjoyed a great massage. The pool great, it was heated however it did have a very bad smell a certain times of the day, which was off putting. Breakfast was nice but the location was the best part, so central to everything.

Lovely hotel in excellent location

This hotel is in the best location possible. It's just a few steps away from the historical centre and has gardens right on the shore of the lake, with access to swim in the lake.

It's clean and the staff are very pleasant, especially on reception. My room had lovely views of the lake.

The decor is a bit old fashioned but I thought it was charming.

The only downside for me is the swimming pool. It's a heated thermal pool, which means a cool refreshing dip in the hot weather was not available unless you got in the lake. The water was too hot and smelt funny, and worse still you have to wear swimming caps to get in, which was a deal breaker for me so I didn't use the pool, which was a shame.

I would still recommend the hotel and would stay here again if I returned to Sirmione

I had a great experience here, starting with an extremely nice staff and great breakfast and ending with the great location and view from my room's balcony.

The only downside is the smell coming from the thermal pool, which filled the hotel, but fortunately not at all noticeable in the rooms.

We stayed in wonderful Sirmione, the hotel is situated right next to the touristic centre of Sirmione. Really nice view on the lake. The interior design and furniture is a little bit outdated and we really missed wifi in our hotel room (there is only wifi in the lobby downstairs). Breakfast is not too extensive. Personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Nice location.

Very nice hotel, situated against the lake with a large garden against the lake. New seats facing the lake with plenty of sunbeds in the garden. Eat breakfast on the outdoor patio which was very pleasant and plenty to eat of varying foods,= from fruit, bread, meats, croissants, all fresh each morning.

Room was big enough, not massive but enough space and storage for a weeks clothing. Everywhere was clean and tidy with 2 comfortable lounges, one with a bar.

Would recommend it and be happy to visit again although for Sirmione itself it would be more convenient to have a car to see further afield..

Absolutely wonderful!

Our stay exceeded our expectations! This hotel is right outside the entrance to the historic city of Sirmione, Italy! It has a healing mineral thermal pool, and is right on Largo di Gardi, one of Italy's beautiful lakes. You can get a massage, and other therapeutic treatments. Beautiful room, and great breakfasts.

Pleasant if dated hotel Staff were lovely especially reception-Stephy and Emanuel. Stephy arranged trips to Venice and Verona for us. We then got local bus across the road from Hotel for a second trip to Verona 5 euros each takes about 1 hour. The hotle pool is small and is a thermal pool,very warm and relaxing. Read other comments on sites that mentioned cocoon now we know why. You have to wear cloth swimming hats in the pool to prevent hair going into the pool which was very odd. Monday evenings also unpleasnt singer in bar until midnight but the Italians liked it. Buffet breakfast good choice If the hotel was undated it would be great. Rooms okay in size and very clean.The ferries are confussing at first but once you understand the schedules its easy Take the faster ferries-rapid as getting across the lake is time consumming. Ferries are expensive. and finish relatively early-no staying for evening meals. We didnt realise how large the lake was it took 2.5hrs to get to Riva at the north end of the lake by the rapid ferry approx 78 euros. We would stay at Riva or Malcesine in future visits as more going on at these. Sirmonie castle and roman site is closed on Monday but is well worth a vist only 4 euros each.

Fantastic Location, More like four stars

Staff here were so friendly and helpful. My husband locked our passports in the safe on the first day, the reception staff were there within 5 minutes to sort it out.
We needed taxi's booked - no problem. They also have the facility to book trips to Venice and Verona, ect.
Free WiFi - signal not great in rooms but perfect in bar and around the pool area.

Rooms were clean, and changed towels and bedding as often as you wanted. Leaving a card on the bed to let the maids know.
Paid extra for a lake view room and it was worth it.
Pool and spa area are lovely, you can swim to a set of stairs that take you inside to a relaxation room with beds, a sauna a shower and a toilet. The pool is thermal and relaxing.
Breakfast is fabulous: Continental and fresh coffee.
Location: Right next to Sirmione Castle, a boat port for travelling to different parts of the lake and the lovely squares filled with fabulous restaurants.

Things not so great...
Lake Access: You can see it and their is pier from the hotel garden but it is cordoned off as there are pieces missing. My husband and I still walked along it and went for a swim.

Also, they have entertainers on 3/4 times a week. Its the same two singers and they kept us awake on some nights as we were right above the bar in room 130. This was a bit disappointing but the Italian tourists seemed to enjoy it!

Overall we loved this hotel, we had a fabulous experience of Lake Garda and would defiantly return. We are very sad we had to leave!

More a hotel for couples than for families (though there were several families there when we stayed) as limited things for children to do. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay and have no hesitation in recommending it

Perfect Sirmione relaxing hotel

Fabulous location for this hotel just outside the island old town centre of Sirmione. Perfect for access to the town intself while having a little more space and peace and quiet than hotels within the main town, Easy access to ferries around Garda and other transport options around the area.

This is one of the Sirmione spa hotels and uses the sulphurous springs that originate in the lake. There is a distinct - but reasonably faint - smell of sulphur around the place as a result of that, The pool is warm and is the spa water. Other reviews have seen this as a source of complaint. That's most unfair. Read what the hotel claims to be, do the research. This is part of the experience, part of what they are trying to do. If you want a hotel pool for fun and games, if you want a family fun environment this is not for you. You should know that - don't blame the hotel for doing what it says on the tin! We had a great time, excellent large room with lake view, friendly staff, fabulous breakfast buffet,. Heartily recommended.

Perfekt lokasjon hvis en ønsker å spise og hygge seg i gamlebyen. Dette er de siste hotellene før du havner i turist-kaoset, så ikke book hotell lengre ut på halvøyen hvis du kommer med bil! (Med unntak av nabohotellet, med 5 stjerner). Har basseng med vann fra varme kilder. Mye eldre mennesker som bor her, veldig rolig sted. Kanskje ikke egnet for småbarnsfamilier.

No son aguas termales, es agua es tibia.
El horario de acceso a la alberca supuestamente termal, es muy reducido, 8:30 a 19:00 hrs. Llegamos y estaba cerrada a la mañana siguiente encontraron un Cristal en la alberca y la cerraron durante tres horas, por lo que nunca pudimos entrar a las albercas. Y esa fue la única razón por la que seleccionamos al hotel.

Fantastisk hotel i hjertet av gamlebyen! Vi kom med bil, og kjørte innenfor porten til hotellet hvor det var mange parkeringsplasser. Man kommer nesten ikke nærmere gamlebyen med bil, enn man gjør på dette hotellet. Rommet var fint innredet og hadde egen balkong. Hotellet hadde hage og basseng på baksiden, med utsikt og umiddelbar tilgang til Gardasjøen fra hagen. Det var også mange solsenger der disponibel til bruk for gjestene. 50 meter å gå inn porten til gamlebyen, og vi kunne ikke valgt et bedre hotel for oppholdet vårt i Sirmione.

Fast täglich mussten wir beim Frühstück fehlende Sachen reklamierten. Entweder fehlten Tassen oder Kännchen oder Teller oder Löffel. Die Säfte waren an einigen Tagen aus ebenso das Rührei, während der gebratene Speck meist kalt war, ebenso wie zeitweise auch das \"heiße Wasser\".
Ansonsten alles okay.

La camera singola ha il frigobar dietro la testata del letto, questo comporta 2 aspetti molto negativi:
1) rumore del frigobar durante la notte rendendo difficile riposare.
2) campo elettromagnetico del frigobar che causa malattie come tumori o squilibrio fisico di vario genere.
Inoltre la qualità dei prodotti della colazione é MOLTO SCARSA, in particolare i cornetti sono fatti con prodotti molto scadenti che ad un palato attento sono visibili. Anche il latte di soia é molto scadente, si percepisce al palato l'alta concentrazione di zuccheri e soia coltivata con molti pesticidi perché ha un sapore diverso il normale latte di soia.
Personale di sala a cena visibilmente scocciati, cibo a cena qualitativamente scarso.
I lati positivi sono la vista panoramica che si può godere dalla piscina termale e dalla piccola sauna in cui non ci si può stendere causa le piccole dimensioni.
Nel complesso potrebbe anche essere passabile ma considerando il costo del supplemento singola per dormire con il frigobar dietro la testa sconsiglio hotel. A parita di prezzo c'è di meglio a Sirmione.

Stanze ristrutturate ma anguste. Accesso al bagno ( molto piccolo ma sufficiente) con un gradino. Accesso al terrazzo con due gradini a salire e due a scendere sul terrazzo in pieno sole e non fruibile.

Pranzo non adeguato. Cena discreta con la parte migliore nel self service delle verdure, frutta e dolce.
Molto pretenziosi ma poca sostanza.
Il costo è abbastanza proporzionato ai servizi.

Weekend romantico

Ho passato un bellissimo weekend con mia moglie. Alberto vicinissimo al centro di Sirmione, piscina termale ottima con una vista spettacolare del lago di Garda. Personale simpatico e disponibile, colazione e cena impeccabili. Camera un po’ piccola ma nuova e funzionale. Torneremo sicuramente l’anno prossimo!

L'Hotel Fonte Boiola è la scelta perfetta per visitare Sirmione ma soprattutto per godere dell'acqua termale dalle incredibili proprietà (ATTENZIONE non tutte le strutture presenti in città hanno a disposizione l'autentica acqua termale direttamente dalla fonte). Abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità di utilizzare la piscina e la SPA senza limiti di orario (dall'arrivo alle 15 fino alle 19.30) ma soprattutto la cortesia di tutto il personale (in particolare la Signora Stefania e Alessandra che si occupa della SPA).

Dopo una prima esperienza sfortunata a causa di un guasto alla piscina termale abbiamo deciso di riprovarci e questa volta siamo stati premiati. Esperienza perfetta, ci ritorneremo sicuramente e non posso fare altro che consigliare fortemente questa struttura.

Struttura rinnovata. Ottimi interni delle camere e spazi comuni. La grande piscina termale situata in mezzo al giardino con meravigliosa vista lago è la perla di questo hotel.L’unica pecca è stata la colazione.Non all’ altezza di questa struttura termale .

Siamo venuti per la piscina termale, ma a causa di un guasto l'acqua era fredda. Il problema era presente da giorni, ma al nostro arrivo non siamo stati informati. Il giorno dopo il problema non era ancora risolto e gli altri Hotel erano tutti al completo. Esperienza molto negativa e viaggio rovinato.

Per il resto è un ottimo Hotel, ringrazio la Sig. Stefania per la sua gentilezza, per essersi scusata e per non averci fatto pagare il noleggio dell'accappatoio.

Une situation parfaite mais prestation insuffisant

Le Positif :
l'hôtel dispose d'un extérieur superbe, gazon, piscine, chaises longues le tout au bord du lac avec une belle vue et accès pour se baigner. Il est situé tout près du centre piéton et permet donc facilement de se promener pour du shopping ou aller au restaurant à l'extérieur.
Le petit déjeuner est très bien !
Le parking est gratuit mais limité en place donc pas sûr d'y trouver de la place en pleine saison...
A noter, la moyenne d'âge des résidents >70ans
Nous avions l'impression de résider dans une maison de retraite.
Ce qui ne cadre pas avec la promesse attendu :
L'hotel est \"dans son jus\" depuis longtemps, tout est démodé et parfois en état moyen, 2 ampoule sur 3 qui fonctionnent, la douche presque impossible à régler en température,...
Pas de Wifi dans les chambres, seulement à l'accueil et pas d'espace pour poser son ordinateur pour travailler correctement.
L'accès intérieur aux thermes est probablement un atout pour ceux qui souhaitent s'y rendre mais l'odeur de souffre est violente au RdC et présente dans tout l'hôtel

Der private Uferabschnitt ist einmalig. Man kann hier den ganzen Tag verbringen. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Die Zimmer sind leider klein, aber typischer italienischer Standard.

Die Lage ist einmalig. Durch die privaten Parkplätze (kostenlos) ist man immer dazu eingeladen Ausflüge zu machen. Wir würden jeden das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen.

Hyggelige og hjelpsomme ansatte. Luksus med egen ansatt som bærer inn baggasje. Stedet ligger rolig til, rett før inngangen til fortet i Sirmione.

Roene var greie, litt utdaterte, men forholdsvis rene.

Madrassen derimot var nok den hardeste jeg har sovet på, så her var det mange timer sævn som forsvant.

Vannet var nok ikke det reneste, her burde det blitt brukt mer klor, for det luktet tidvis litt jord av det. Det kom også kloakklukt fra deler av hotellet ut i bassengområdet.

Ellers fint uteområde, men fin utsikt over innsjøen.

Trevligt hotell precis utanför gamla stadskärnan, inga problem med parkering. Bra pool och möjlighet att bada i Gardasjön. Vi blev uppgraderade och fick bättre rum än vad vi bokat. Trevligt hotell som rekommenderas.

Struttura molto comoda vicina al centro, la stanza è spaziosa ma un po' datata, nel bagno la doccia era un po' \"macchinosa\" da chiudere e usciva acqua al di fuori. Un po' forte l'odore di zolfo nell'ambiente. Comunque nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene, personale gentile e cordiale.

Piscina termale: punto di forza.
Struttura un po' datata, suppellettili e tende non proprio al top.
Un po' di confusione in reception perché presente una sola persona.

Parcheggio all'interno, ma piccolo, per cui c'è una persona a fare il tetris con le varie auto, ma è affidabile e molto attento.

Colazione buona ma, anche lì, una sola persona che serviva il buffet per decine di persone.

Con i prezzi dell'hotel, potrebbero permettersi un po' di personale in più, sinceramente.

posizione comodissima

Albergo vicinissimo alla zona del Castello di Sirmione, per cui comodamente raggiungibile in auto ma molto comodo al centro storico di Sirmione. Struttura termale e l'odore dell'acqua termale è molto forte nell'ingresso. Vista meravigliosa dalla sala ristorante, utilizzata anche per la colazione.

Tolles Thermenhotel mit hoher Erholungswirkung

Die Mitarbeiterinnen des Hotels waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Glücklich waren wir über das Thermalbad, was sehr angenehm und wohltuend war. Das Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick war gross und sauber sowie vollständig ausgestattet.

Personale gentilissimo e veramente orientato a risolvere i problemi e a dare il massimo di servizio.

Personale e location giustificherebbero il prezzo alto.
Purtroppo la struttura è un “datata” e le camere piccolissime con letto piccolissimo (francesino di una piazza e mezza x due persone!?). Nonostante avessi prenotato più di un mese prima mi è stata assegnata la peggior camera (oltre che piccola era di fronte ai motori della spa, rumorosissomi 24h e pure calda poichè il condizionatore non bastava a raffrescare con due persone all interno con finestra chiusa. X fortuna dopo due giorni il Personale gentilissimo è riuscito ad assegnarci una nuova stanza, sempre piccina ma almeno non rumorosa. In sintesi, ottimo servizio nonostante le carenze strutturali solo grazie alla professionalità di tutto il Personale. Dovrebbero abbassare i prezzi e assegnare le camere piccole a singole persone e non a coppie😊

Super emplacement mais Hôtel vieillot, ambiance d’EHPAD, obligation du bonnet de bain à la piscine, lit minuscule, parking trop petit (on était bloqués 15min à attendre qu’un employé retire sa voiture qui nous bloquait). En bref, bon emplacement mais bien trop cher pour la qualité de service offerte

Relax a bordo lago

In comoda posizione, subito fuori dalle mura e con un parcheggio privato gratuito. Buona l'accoglienza e il servizio, buona la pulizia anche se nel complesso le camere (noi avevamo il tipo Mimosa, con letto matrimoniale) meriterebbero una ristrutturazione. Camera non molto grande, con cabina armadio. Cena o pranzo che se non sono già inclusi nella propria sistemazione si possono acquistare a 20 euro, Buona e completa la colazione. Il soggiorno è reso piacevole dal parco a bordo lago dove prendere il sole in estate e dalla piccola piscina di calda acqua termale sulfurea, con alcuni idromassaggi (ingresso contingentato e su appuntamento in tempi di Covid). In definitiva, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Sebbene la struttura sia un po' vissuta e richiederebbe una piccola sistemazione, direi che il suo posizionamento e la qualità dei servizi è davvero super. Ottima piscina e ottimo il posizionamento adiacente al castello. Il parcheggio interno è un plus non da poco. Servizio di ristorazione adeguato e dal costo accessibile. Ho passato 2 giorni di vero relax. Struttura più che promossa.
