The hotel is situated in a quite area of Sirmione which given the crowds, it's nice to get away from. It is however a very short walk back into town where you will find lots of restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel was OK - our room was rather small and dated. Simple things like a hook for the towel would be good to add. Also disappointing that the outdoor pool was freezing but if you wanted to use the indoor pool you have to pay an additional £25 per person. I can understand if you want a treatment, but a quick swim - seems a little excessive for a couple to be asked to pay £50. Staff were lovely and friendly though.

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Olivi - the staff were all lovely and very welcoming, and made our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The room interiors were modern and well furnished/decorated with plenty of space and the pool is sizeable and not too crowded, even in the height of summer.

Hotel Olivi is easily walkable from to the Sirmione Old Town, and is ideally located as a base for exploring Lake Garda.

The rooms were great, it was in a nice quiet part of town, the wellness spa experience was fabulous, and it was so helpful that we got a late check out, so that we could shower after our spa experience! I would definitely come back!

This is one of my favorite places in Sirmione because it’s set apart from the craziness of the medieval village and it’s very quiet and beautiful. The part my wife and I loved the most is the cats. This property is very car friendly and has five resident cats that are allowed inside the lobby and just hang out on the sofa and chairs. The cats are very friendly and will let you pet them and sometimes they will lounge on your lap. Outside there are many more cats but they are not as friendly as the ones that come inside the lobby.
We Loved it and thought it was the best thing ever. If you are allergic to cats probably this isn’t the best place for you.

A great base for Sirmione and southern Garda

A great location away from the bustle of the old town, but literally only 2 minutes away. Quiet, relaxing environment, helpful staff and a very enjoyable stay. The town itself is not car friendly, so arriving by cab from the station involved a 10 minute walk with luggage through the town - for a family I would suggest arranging either a car pass if coming by car (the hotel has car parking, but you will have little need for one past arrival), or if coming by rail a hotel organised pickup is better than relying on taxi firms that are not able to access the town past its walls. The Spa is an extra cost (€25/3hrs) but a nice treat - the outdoor pool is ‘refreshing’ and offers poolside dining.

Hotel Olivi is a beautiful hotel near the tip of Sirmione minutes from the city, the beaches, the ruins, and more. The hotel is made for quite relaxation in the heart of a busy and old beautiful city. The only reason for the 4 vice 5 was the room layout. Our room strangely had only two electrical outlets (one of which was in the closet and required you to remove already-plugged in items and it felt a bit dated- a bit subjective, I know). Otherwise, the pools are amazing and the hotel is situated in an incredible area conducive to walking, restaurants, nightlife, beaches, etc.

Note to the wise: If you have a car, expect a slow drive through the packed streets of Sirmione where you continually ask yourself \"this can't be right, can it?\" As you drive through crowds of thousands of people in tightly packed couple meter wide roads :)

The location and the service were fantastic. The hotel room was very good; what you would expect from a 4-star hotel, nothing outstanding. We ended up getting complimentary access to the spa, which was nice, though I am not sure it would have been worth paying full price for spa access, given that the facilities were a bit limited. Given how expensive the hotel was per night, we were expecting a bit more, though I guess the price may have been fair for a nice hotel in an outstanding location in Sirmione in the middle of Summer.

Even though the site says the hotel has air conditioning, the central air conditioning it was not operational because it was March (they said it only works during the summer) and the room was incredibly hot. They told us to open the window, but when we did the room was filled with insects and mosquitoes. They were also quite greedy - the in-room coffee/tea kit was with extra charge and the access to the heated pool and sauna were 20 EUR per person for 3 hours. On the plus side - they were very accommodating to gluten free diet and the hotel's restaurant was quite good (but expensive).

Hotel Olivi was a pleasant place to stay, somewhat peaceful amongst the turbulence of so many visitors to the general area. Whilst pleasant, the experience was somewhat generic and impersonal. We did not realise that the Spa cost extra, not included in the rates.

Stayed for our mini-moon after getting married. We were offered a room upgrade on the second day, and a day-pass to the spa facilities.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and well looked after. The staff are patient and courteous (especially where Italian isn't my first language). The food was very good and the service at breakfast/dinner was fantastic. Plenty of staff working to ensure guests feel pampered and well looked after.

The spa facilities are very new and offer a great mix of showers, saunas, pools, jacuzzi etc.

Located in the no-traffic zone of Sirmione, access is granted to guests who are staying at the hotel who have a hire car (all other traffic is banned). It's quiet surreal to drive thru the tight, twisting streets (avoiding all the other tourists who are on foot!) to reach the hotel.

The hotel is lovely and the staff are helpful and attentive. It's located at the far-end of Sirmione and is thus quiet and secluded compared to other places on the lake.

Plenty to see and do locally, and access to boats to travel the lake is only a 5 minute walk away.

I can't recommend the hotel enough. Genuinely surprised this is only a 4 star establishment. We will be planning another visit next year!

The Hotel Olivi was excellent. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel staff was attentive and competent and the room very comfortable. Most rooms seem to have a view of the lake and outside seating area. I especially remember the room being exceptionally quiet. Sirmione is such a beautiful place and this hotel is in a good location to access everything. The spa was amazing, I didn't get any treatments as my stay was short, but I did get to swim in the mineral pool and the salt pool, as well as one of the steam rooms. This spa is beautiful and clean, the staff is helpful and competent.

Great hotel and food. Lovely room. Had two bad experiences in the restaurant which were unacceptable. We were virtually ignored on both occasions and waited 50 minutes for a first course. On the last day, the more mature waiter in the pool area was clearly aware of the problem and also made us wait! Two ladies travelling together and paying for two rooms made it an expensive holiday - the restaurant experience will not be forgotten and am considering commenting on another site!

I wouldn't choose this hotel.

I booked this hotel for a day trip to Sirmione. Thought it would be nice with its spa and a swimming pool. Spa was small and the pool as well. Hotel was old and they gave me the oldest and the smallest room where I could see no sun. At first, I thought maybe I should've paid more for the room. And then I thought again that I should have gone to a better hotel with more money or should've gone to more convenient hotel with less money. In the evening, electricity was out for several times and the water stopped running during my shower for 40 minutes! This hotel was the worst choice ever in my 9 days Italia trip.

Glorious views

Great location at the top of the Sirmione peninsula, although access is via the picturesque narrow streets of the medieval town which is cramped and full of tourists after 10.00AM, so if you have a car its best to park it during your holiday. Better to visit other Garda shoreside towns via the regular ferries. All of the town is accessible on foot. People at reception are very helpful as are all the staff. English tea at 5.00 beside the pool too is a welcome feature!

Ok but they work on extras.

They charge 20 euro per person per day to use the spa. Standard room was large but dark with no lake view whatsoever. To upgrade to a smaller room with a view but no spa cost an additional 60 euro per night
If i knew what the true cost would be I believe I could have done better. Driving into the old town was challenging due to alleys with lots of pedestrians. Pick a place outside and walk in.

Hotel lobby and restaurant were nice. Room was dissapointing, strange design for closet and no toiletries provided the entire time. It had a nice balcony with a nice view and the air conditioning worked very well. It was very hot outside, so that was good. Hotel staff ok, not very friendly at the reception but very nice and friendly at the restaurant and bar. Good was good and they have a pretty terrace. Pool facilities were probably the best part of this hotel as we didn't try the spa.

Hotel Olivi has everything you need for a relaxing break. Clean comfortable rooms, spacious public areas, good food and a wonderful pool area. Breakfast and dinner may be taken in the dining room although you may prefer the outdoor terrace. Lunch and snacks can be had from the poolside cafe. Afternoon tea, coffee and pastries are offered free at 17:00 each day at the pool.
The staff are all friendly and efficient - nothing is too much trouble.
We took a 4 day break on the way back from the Adriatic on a BB/evening meal basis in early July 2015 and felt it was very good value for money. Parking is included in the price.
We've stayed at Olivi 3 times now and would have no hesitation in doing so again.

Enjoyed a 5 night break here used hotel as a base for exploring locally and further afield. Great choice as we felt very comfortable at Hotel Olivi. Room a little small but it was situated at the front with a lovely view and private small terrace seating area. Staff knowledgeable and offered us excellent advice for example on parking in Verona etc.

Wonderful Location views over \"SILENT\" Lake Garda

My wife had been asking me for years to visit Lake Garda, so for our 27th.Wedding Anniversary we booked the Hotel Olivi & Thermal Spa in Sirmione for five days in late November 2014.
To our complete surprise and disappointment Lake Garda and Sirmione were virtually completely shut down, only one restaurant (La Scala) in the old town of Sirmione open for most of the week, apart from the weekend the Main Hotel Restaurant was also closed for lunch and dinner, however bar snacks were always available.
Missed the small print on Lake Garda boat timetables so no boat trips or excursions on this completely silent lake.
We did take advantage of an excellent and modestly priced bus service to surrounding towns including one very special day in the city centre of Verona marked by my stumbling onto Romeo and Juliet's legendary house and balcony much appreciated by the wife and all her Facebook pals.

Remote location good for spa purpose

GPS does not cover this remote location. It is at the end of the village after going through some small paths which are not designed for big cars. We spent 20 Euros for 3 hours at the spa per person, it was pricey but was very nice. Spacious room, clean bathroom, good breakfast. 10 minute walk to the village. Excellent restaurant recommendation by helpful hotel staff.

The town of Sirmione is the most beautiful place and the hotel is perfectly located in a very peaceful area of town, but just 5 minutes walk from the centre. The actual hotel was very good, clean, good facilities, friendly staff. Beautiful spa with pools from the natural hot springs. There was also good evening entertainment (excellent singer) who sang songs to accommodate for tourists (well known songs) and he had a great character. Croissants at breakfast were delicious. I would certainly not hesitate to return to this hotel and would definitely like to return to Sirmione again.

Perfect hotel in all ways ...

We were looking for a hotel that: 1) was a good quality 2) with a Spa 3) close to the heart of where we were staying 4) good value for money. The Hotel Olivi hit the four criteria mentioned above and we were not disappointed. It's a gorgeous boutique in the heart of Sirmione therefore close to restaurants and in my opinion the \"heart of the southern lake\". The rooms were gorgeous and typically Italian, there was free WiFi access, breakfast was delicious, staff really lovely but not \"in your face\" the Spa was fantastic.

Nice hotel just outside centre.

We arrived at the hotel on the 19/4/14 after booking a transfer directly through the hotel. Our driver was waiting for us at arrivals although we had arrived earlier than planned. The man on the front desk that checked us in, gave me a policy to sign which was written in Italian. He did not explain what this was he just told me to sign it. I took time to find the English translation written in small print near the bottom of the page (seemed like an inconvience to the man on the desk.) we were told our room number and taken upstairs by another staff member. No information what so ever about the local area about the hotel nothing. I had asked for a twin room and given a small double. I asked to have this changed he said they were fully booked (fair enough) he had someone seperate the beds for us. So the room- the smallest I have ever had, tiny bathroom every time I went toilet I hit my arm on the shower. The room was slightly outdated, over looked the side of the building above the kitchen, you could hear staff throwing bottles out at night. There was a slight damp patch in one part of the room near the window. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything in the other rooms even those opposite you. Another staff member Elvis gave us all info we needed, was polite and really helpful, I only spoke to him from that point onwards. The waiters are amazing, so attentive and polite a real credit (as is Elvis) to the hotel. The family hotel is a nice place to stay!

Modern hotel in Sirmione

The first thing you need to know if you are staying at Hotel Olivi is that it is located in the old walled town and you must be cleared at the police kiosk at the entrance (they have a list of hotel guests) in order to enter with a car. We didn't know this and drove around quite a few times because we did not realize you could drive into the old town. Driving is a challenge because the streets are so narrow and filled with tourists. That being said, the location of the hotel is good-a short walk to the center of town-with a great view of Lake Garda. The decor is late 60's mod meets the Jetsons - not my taste but the room and bed were comfortable.

VERY OVERPRICED

We came to this hotel from the wonderful Cipriani in Asolo and what a letdown! Double the price for a fraction of the quality.

We were left with the strong impression that we had paid a frankly exorbitant single night tariff because the hotel is really geared towards weekly package guests.

Wonderful hotel the setting is fantastic just overlooking the lake but not on it. It is definitely well worth paying for a sea view as we had a wonderful view and a large balcony to sit outside . The staff are very friendly and helpful . The breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and always well stocked . The town of sirmone is very picturesque and plenty of places to eat out .

This a charming small hotel (67 rooms) on a hill overlooking Lake Garda, The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling, narrow streets of Sirmione with its bars restaurants and shopping.
We had a 'Quality' room overlooking the lake. The room was a good size with a generous balcony area and kept spotlessly clean. Food at the hotel was of a consistently high quality both at lunch (the LeBisse poolside bar) and at dinner, where there is a choice of sitting inside or on a terrace overlooking the gardens and the lake.
What makes this hotel so special are the staff - many of whom have been at the hotel for 12 years or more. Without exception they are friendly, polite and keen to do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. The manager refers to them as his small family. For guests it is a joy to be in such company and surroundings.

Set in beautiful location

Had a wonderful time at Hotel Olivi. Rooms more spacious than I expected (although weren't lucky enough to get a lake view). Rooms very clean and tidy and hotel literally only a minute from the beautiful Sirmione centre. The area surrounding the pool was immaculate with plenty of shaded cabanas for those who aren't sun worshippers. The only down side was that the pool itself was ice cold, too cold to get in to - as was the jacuzzi. The only other thing was that I felt the room could benefit with tea and coffee making facilities. But for these two things Hotel Olive would definitely have got a five star rating.

Hotel Olivi, Sirmione Lake Garda

Hotel is a lovely property near the end of the Sirmione Peninsular. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The food in their restaurant was very good. Our room was small, clean and faced a back wall. Sirmione is a fun, walled city with many shops and great gellato, if you find the right place. Finding it was fun. Don't miss the Roman ruins. You might consider the more expensive rooms if size and view are important.

Hotel Olivi - 5 star dining

We were recommended to this hotel by a friend and we were not disappointed. It is in a lovely position towards the end of the peninsular of Sirmione, which is good because it is quiet but means that you have to pass through the village every time you want to go somewhere else.
Thee hotel arranged a private hire car to collect and return us to Verona airport, it was not cheap but did compare well with the local taxis.
We chose to pay extra for a room with a balcony, overlooking the gardens towards the lake and we also took half board, both options were well worth the additional cost. The room was very clean, towels and sheets changed every day. We stayed for 7 nights and there was adequate storage for the two of us.
All the hotel staff were very friendly and there is a distinct family atmosphere. It appears that people do return time after time as many of the returning guests were greeted almost as friends.
The age group when we visited in September was definitely on the \"senior\" side but this blended with the style of the hotel...how many hotels do you know where afternoon tea and pastries are served by the pool at 5pm (on the sound of a bell) It was all rather lovely!
The pool is not large but there is sufficient space around it and the small garden to get peace and quiet on the comfortable loungers.
In the village of Sirmione there are many restaurants and ice cream parlours that cater for the hundreds of day trippers that arrive by ferry or guided coach tour every day. The village is very picturesque with it's castle and Roman ruins (well worth a look) but when the tourists have gone the place closes down about 10.30 pm and it is all very peaceful.
Back to the hotel and one of the best parts of the visit for us was the 4 course dinners in the restaurant. There were four or five choices in every course and each one we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the \"lake fish of the day\" prepared in front of you, this varied from bass to bream and trout whilst we were there. The main menu changes every week but every day the chef provided his suggestion for that day with dishes not on the main menu. The food was a high point of the visit,.
Would we go back? Definitely for a relaxing holiday of a few days (and to sample the food again). Sirmione is a little remote to use a a base for exploring but such a lovely place to visit.

Nice hotel but rooms very small

Finding the hotel can be tricky as it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but there's an information centre with hotel information that can help. The hotel comfort overall was good. However, for the price the room was tiny with little space to move. We had a room at the back of the hotel with no viewn which was disappointing. The decor in the rooms and throughout the hotel seems very dated too. One nice surprise was even though breakfast was not listed on our booking it was included in the price so do ask if you are unsure! One part of the hotel which is lovely is the pool area and as the hotel is in a quieter area it is very peaceful and relaxing. I would use the hotel for a short stay again, however, it is expensive for what you get.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön und ist sehr hübsch gestaltet. Das Zimmer mit Balkon und schöner Aussicht auf den See hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Frühstück (vielfältig und lecker) und Abendessen auf der Restaurantterasse haben wir sehr genossen. Der Poolbereich verfügt über genügend bequeme Liegen. Der Außenwhirlpool ist super. Die Poolbar bietet die Möglichkeit, am Wasser kulinarisches zu genießen. Alles war sauber und das Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto durch die historische Altstadt mit engen Stellen und vielen Menschen in den Gassen ist nichts für schwache Nerven. Vor Ort benötigt man aber kein Auto. Beim nächsten Mal lassen wir uns vom Flughafen abholen.
