Well-placed hotel, but in need of modernisation.

The hotel is well-placed with a nice, clean pool area. Given its location, it's an easy walk to the castle and the main part of the town, the ferry terminal and the park. Breakfast was included, and consisted of a good range of cold meats, jams pastries etc but no hot food. There was an outdoor, pretty terrace area also. The décor of our room, and the hotel generally, was rather sad and tired though. The reception area had furniture which appeared many years old, as was the furniture in our room. In fact, our room looked as though it had not been decorated for over 30 years; the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in places. The bed was a little on the hard side On our first of 3 days and nights at the hotel, I tried to unplug my phone charger and the entire socket came out of the wall as it was not well-secured! I reported it straight away, but nothing was done about it. The bathroom was ok, it was a reasonable size with sufficient towels. The staff we encountered were all polite and friendly, but the hotel itself needs some serious money spent on it to freshen it up.

Great location, could use some rennovation

The decision to stay at this hotel is all about location. The location is unbeatable. The hotel could use a good rennovation, the furnishings and decor are dated and a bit run down. The service there is very pleasant and very Italian. The breakfast is okay. The pool is dated, but nice and private. Again, you can't beat this location if you want to be within easy walking distance of everything.

We stayed in room 6 on level 1, facing a 12m high stone wall with greenery all over it. We had a sideways view of the pool, The hotel is perfectly located just past the busy pedestrian & car traffic, and within walking distance of restaurants and ferry terminal. But the interior of the hotel needs an overall. The common area carpet is old and worn, and the room wallpaper is outdated and torn. The staff were excellent especially the young man. So I dont ewant to criticise the place, but it needs a renovation. This is the first time I have not given our accommodation 5/5. So please go there when they have renovated. Thanks, Noel

Very Nice hotel

Perfect location 5 min walk to beach and the city center. Rooms were spacious enough for what we needed, and the bathroom was very clean. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Excellent value for mini vacation close to the beach, safe, comfortable and inviting.

It is an interesting drive to the hotel through the narrow streets avoiding the many tourists. The hotel is lovely and in a quiet part of town with an excellent andcharicteristic swimming pool.

A little gem

Enjoyed our stay in Sirmione immensly. The hotel is well situated and there is parking available.The staff were very respectful and did not intrude on our privacy.There were bicycles available for use and an amazing pool to swim in. Found our room a bit small with the single bed in as there were three of us but it was not a huge problem as we were out most of the day.

A visit to Sirmione

We had the privilege to spend 3 days at Hotel Broglia in Sirmione. The welcome was extremely friendly and professional. The hotel with parking is in a perfect spot and we felt lucky to be there. The rooms are basic and ours needed new windows as they rattled with any movement in the hotel. But this negative was more than outweighed with the cleanliness, friendliness and warmth of all the staff and the position in Sirmione. The pool and sunbed area were lovely too. Overall a great experience made all the better by lovely people.

An average hotel with the outstanding pool

Good location next to the best restaurants in Sirmione. Worth trying a dinner in 'Maria Callas' restaurant with some delicious food at around €20pp for main course. Broglia hotel also has a glorious pool built within the remains of Roman castle. However, the enjoyment of this pool can be easily disturbed by families not respecting the etiquette of using the pool ( jumping into the pool as people sunbath, children left unsupervised in the pool, playing with the ball so not many can use the facility etc) with the management being unwilling to challenge this. Also, not sure why there is a mini bar with no drinks in it apart from occasional good will of a chambermaid who would leave two small bottles of water every second day!!

Nice stay at Hotel Broglia in Sirmione

We stayed at Hotel Broglia for 3 nights at the end of June. We visited for our wedding anniversary and were really pleased with our choice. The hotel is situated within the city walls and is an easy five minute walk to most of the cafes and restaurants and the many gelatarias! It is a 5-10 minute walk to the bus stop (that will take you to Verona or Brescia) and 5 minutes from the ferry that will take you to many towns and villages on the lake (make sure you pick up / research the ferry times). The swimming pool was very much appreciated as the days were warm (we were still in the pool at 6-7pm). We found the reception staff really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a typical continental (cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese, ham, pastry). The hotel is a little dated, hence 4 in some areas, but we were more than happy and would happily come back and stay again.

The place is a bit dated. Not a 4 star in my opinion. A light 3star. The breakfast spread was really good. The room was clean and quite large. Staff was super nice and helpful. Elevator smelt really bad, unbearably. The room air-conditioning made the room smell of smoke so we never used it again.

Fabulous location. Clean, excellent breakfast, well worth it for the budget minded. Rooms are tired and old. But worth the money. We would stay there again. Beds very comfortable. Good size room. The pool was beautiful - nicer in person than in the picture. The staff is a tossup. One young woman was wonderful, went out of her way to help us. The other front desk employees unfriendly, didn't seem to care.

Fantastic hotel. Perfect

What a fantastic hotel in an unbelievable location. The pool was very clean and of a generous size. It is inside an old castle wall so very picturesque. The breakfast was very good. Our favourite part of this stay was the location. Once we had parked at the hotel we didn't need to use the car again. The little train that goes to the Roman Villa is about 10 steps from the front of the hotel. The shops, restaurants, castle and port also are a couple of minutes from the hotel and yet we were right on the peninsula with lake on three sides of us. Although everything is near we also felt a peacefulness with being that end of the peninsula. The staff were helpful. We stayed five nights and there was plenty to do from catching the bus to Verona, ferry trips on the lake, swimming in the lake and the amazing Roman Villa and museum. We didn't get chance to visit the thermal spa but this again is about 20 paces from the hotel.

Cute hotel frozen in time by 70's decor

This hotel doesn't look like it's been updated for decades, but that's not to say it isn't charming! We loved it :) breakfast was great- the regular continental fare, good coffee!
The room was spacious and clean &
Staff willing to help at all times, the only downside was that the mini bar fridge was broken so we couldn't keep our wine cool :(
Hotel broglia is in the perfect location, only a €24 taxi ride from Desenzano station and within the walled village. It is still located far enough away from the hustle and bustle of tourists that flock in by day.
My partner and I felt it was good value for the three nights that we stayed :)
Would stay there again for sure!

Nice hotel, beautiful location

To get to this hotel you have to get cleared by the police, and then drive over a bridge on to an island, and through a bunch of very narrow pedistrian streets. Once there, the hotel is located right at the end of the shopping area. The hotel staff were excellent. The room furnishings were not fancy, but the room was clean, and it was great to sit out on the balcony in the evening. The rooms in the front have the best view.

Tired 2 star hotel...remarkably superb location

This hotel is inside the old city of Sirimone, just a stone's throw from the beach, the thermal baths, and dozens of shops and restaurants lining the narrow stone-paved streets. Most visitors to Sirimone must park their cars outside the old city; however, as a hotel guest, you get the opportunity to drive in, navigating the maze of medieval lanes at a snail's pace before you reach the hotel parking lot, where you can leave your car as you enjoy the rest of your holiday on foot. The hotel obviously was a very nice place in its heyday; however, today it is tired. I am not sure how it still has four stars. The lobby and public areas are well-kept, but nothing has been updated in more than a decade. Our room was a family room - basically two bedrooms and a bathroom. The accommodations were sparse - bare floors, nothing hanging on the walls, and basic furnishings that were in serious need of replacement. While in the room, I felt like I was in a cheap conference center or dorm room. Each bedroom had a balcony with cheap plastic chairs but our balcony did not have much of a view, though some rooms facing the front of the hotel probably have views of the lake. The rooms in the photos looked nice and plush; our room was stark, bare, and cold. It took numerous requests for us to get the heat turned on and working properly. Would we visit again? Yes, because of the location, we would stay again if we could get a price consistent with 2-star hotels in the area.

There is nothing negative to say about the hotel itself. What makes the hotel special is that the location is excellent, the down side is that in order to reach the hotel you need to pass trough very tight medieval type alleys crowded with tourists. In order to handle this you should visit the tourist information outside of the restricted area before you go to the hotel by car and cross the bridge to the peninsula, by doing so you know where to go in the medieval city maze.

Lindo hotel de buena relación precio-calidad

Es un hotel que evidentemente fue muy bonito hace 50 o 60 años atrás. Necesitaría de una re decoracion. Pero, a pesar de eso, es cómodo, está ubicado en un lugar muy lindo y tranquilo del centro histórico y sus funcionarios son todo muy amables y simpáticos
Tiene un desayuno correcto y una linda terracita en la habitación. A pesar de sus años lo recomendaria sin dudas.

Varning för Broglia. Ger sig för att vara ett 4-stjärnigt hotell. Möjligt att det var så för 50 år sen. Väldigt tydligt att det inte investeras i renovering. Tapeter flagnar av, möbler så slitna att stoppningen syns genom, mattor smutsiga och slitna. Skulle stannat 6 nätter men efter 3 klarade vi inte mer. Sirmione har många andra hotell att välja mellan. Gör det. Min rekommendation är att Hotels.com tar bort detta från sin hemsida.

Hotel pulito noi eravamo in una tripla bella spaziosa con un largo balcone.bella anche la piscina in posto tranquillo. La spiaggia dista poco dall'hotel. Il parcheggio è gratuito nel cortile della struttura. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Una bellezza un po' decadente

Soggiornato una notte, due adulti ed un bambino. L'albergo vanta 4 stelle e la gentilezza del personale, la posizione centrale, nella zona pedonale di Sirmione, ma al tempo stesso tranquilla, e la colazione le merita tutte. Sicuramente l'albergo avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione e di un generale ammodernamento del mobilio. Ma tutto sommato quest'aria un po' decadente non ne limita il fascino.
Colazione superba, per quanto molto sbilanciata sulla parte dolce, con torte fantastiche con cui iniziare la giornata.

En trevlig upplevelse på hotel Broglia. Det enda var att det var väldigt lyhört mellan rummen. Läget helt perfekt, mitt i allt men ändå lugnt omkring.
Wi-fi på rummet var bra men funkade sådär ibland. Däremot mycket bra i lobbyn.

Da prenotazione avevo una stanza con vista su giardino e invece come vedete dalle foto allegate,vista su muro con rampicanti, un bagno senza finestra con muffe sui bordi vasca, mancava un profilo sulla porta del bagno,l'arredo della stnza risalente agli anni 70,abbiamo dormito con clima freddo senza avere la possibilita di regolazione o spegnimento,un ascensore con un odore sgradevole,e una colazione con prodotti confezionati.Se avessi letto le sue recensioni prima di prenotare non l'avrei scelto. A suo favore ci sono la sua posizione, e il personale cordiale.Non da 4 stelle

Situation excellente bien qu'il est un peu compliqué de traverser le vieux Sirmione en voiture les jours d'affluence.
Très bon accueil du personnel qui fait l'effort de parler français
Par contre l'hôtel mériterait d'être rénové et refait plus moderne (ne vaut pas un 4 étoiles)

Olimme hotellissa kaksi yötä. Hotellissa ja huoneessa oli siistiä, mutta pinnat ja kalusteet olivat melko kuluneet ja parhaat päivänsä nähneet. Huoneen varustelu oli niukka ja esim. kylpyhuone todella ahdas. Hotellin esittelyteksti ei myöskään vastannut todellisuutta. Huoneessa ei ollut mitään tietoja palveluista tai esim. aamupalan tarjoiluajoista vaan kaikki piti kysyä henkilökunnalta. Äänet naapurihuoneesta kuuluivat selvästi, samoin toiselta parvakkeelta ja kadulta. Toisena aamuna meidät herätti naapurihuoneen herätyskello! Parveke oli tilava ja mukava lisä huoneeseen! Luonto ympärillä oli kaunista ja hotelli sijaistee kivalla paikalla Sirmionen aluetta. Hotellin aamupala oli ihan hyvä, tarjolla oli paljon makeaa mutta ei esim. leipää. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Hotellin tähtiluokitus on paikallisen mittapuun mukaan 4, mutta itse antaisin tähtiä vain kaksi.

Dieses Hotel war ein Reinfall,kaputte Möbel,knarrende wackelige Kästen,wackelige Stühle,lieblos hingestellte Möbel auf der zum Zimmer gehörenden Terrasse-keine Auflagen,das Selbe beim Pool,die einfach verglasten Terrassentüren scheppern wenn irgendwo eine Tür auf oder zugemacht wird,im Bad fast keine Abstellfläche für diverse Kosmetika,Kamm und ähnlichen.Dieses Hotel verdient niemals vier Sterne-höchstens zwei.Das Frühstück ist sehr überschaulich täglich das Selbe das Personal ist zwar freundlich aber mit Extra Wünschen überfördert.Es war nicht möglich koffeinfreien Kaffee zu bekommen so mußten wir auf Kakao ausweichen naja.Für uns war das ein Reinfall schade.

Soggiorno e andato molto bene.Al 3°piano camera 35,ammobiliato con mobili
troppo vecchi chè occupano spazio e la camera cosi diventa piccola.Il frigo e sempre vuoto e due cassaforti chè non funzionano e non chiudono.I materassi sono troppo molli.L'hotel si trova vicino alle Grotte di Catullo
e un punto a suo favore,con una piscina favolosa e un panorama stupendo.
Il personale dell'hotel e molto alla mano.

מיקום מצויין, צוות נהדר. החדר מיושן ואין אמבטיה (רק מקלחון) המיטות היו קשות לטעמנו אבל בסך הכל ביחס לאיזור, המלון היה טוב וארוחת בוקר הייתה סבירה. לכל מי שמגיע עם רכב, קצת קשה להיכנס למלון מכיוון שהמלון נמצא באיזור הכי תיירותי ויש כביש צר שעובר דרך גשר וטירה ושם כל התיירים נמצאים, סעו בזהירות !

Hotellet holder svært lav standard til å være et 4* hotell. Av de seks 4* hotellene vi bodde på i Italia, var dette to nivåer under det nest dårligste.

Likevel, tror det er avstand på de fine 4* hotellene i Sirmione. U

PS: anbefaler å besøke denne byen utenfor høysesong

Hotel en kamer ziet er netjes uit ofschoon het interieur van de kamer best eens vervangen mag worden. Service is matig, voor een 4 sterren mag dat best naar een hoger niveau. Het hotel heeft een restaurant maar daar wordt s'morgens alleen een ontbijt geleverd. Een kok en keuken personeel heb ik daar niet waargenomen en er was ook geen menukaart. De tafels werden alleen maar voor ontbijt gereed gemaakt. Het zwembad was goed maar alleen te benaderen via hoofdingang en voor het hotel langs te lopen. Het hotel is niet makkelijk te bereiken en ook het parkeren van de auto kan problematisch zijn.

Sentralt, men skjermet.

Hotellet ligger sentralt, men i et rolig område av Sirmione.
Jeg bodde 3 netter på hotellet. De 2 første nettene hadde jeg enmannnsrom og 3. Natta var vi tre som delte et tremannsrom.
Enmannnsrommet var helt ok, gamle møbler, men stor veranda!
Tremannsrommet hadde enda større verandaen. Dette rommet hadde tepper på gulvet.
Frokosten er bra, med både egg og frisk frukt.
Bassenget ble nesten ikke brukt av de andre gjestene så her fikk man nesten følelsen av å ha et privat basseng.
Det er også mulig å låne sykler (bysykler), noe jeg anbefaler for det er flott å sykle mot f.eks Peschiera. Betjeningen var hjelpsom og serviceinnstilt.
Det er også parkering ved hotellet.

HOTEL ZA HRADBAMI

Velice nekonvenční příjezd, zejmena večer nebylo snadné se probojovat davem turistů na pěší zóně. Hotel průměrný, starší, snaživý personál a dobré stravování.
