Härligt!

Väldigt mysigt ställe med trevlig personal. Mycket bra frukost och fantastiska sängar. Härliga badmöjligheter precis bredvid slottet. Tyvärr var det hemskt varmt i rummet så vi fick inte många timmars sömn men i övrigt var det väldigt fint.

Nice place to stay and get fit

This place is not for the lazy or handicap but it is a nice place to stay in comparison with the other places we've stayed abroad. You can wander this castle property and explore the waterline, view a koi pond, and tour the castle gardens. The rooms are comfortable and you are provided with luxuries such as a hair dryer. Just keep in mind you will need to walk a lot. You don't stay in the main castle, however you will eat there and be able to explore it. I would recommend to the hotel they provide a golf cart to haul guests and luggage to their rooms since it is quite a hike. If you are jet lagged or tired it will prove to be difficult. They give you a map to find the room but not specific instructions, so you could end up walking past your building and onto a walking trail as we did.

The location was beautiful and the food amazing. There were some things in the room that wasnt working, but the staff was friendly and hopefully they will fix it for other guests. The dinner was exceptional, and the breakfast delicious and fresh.

Paradise in a castle very close to Stockholm

Excellent hotel beautiful property located close to Stockholm but yet feels completely isolated. Main building is a castle where restaurant (and incredible huge complimentary breakfast is served) and bars and main reception is located. Rooms are in 2 detached buildings that are remarkably original yet with modern updates. Parking is easy and close. There is no pool however you can swim in the lake (if you dare too). There is even a Tesla installed electric car charger in the parking lot! What a unique property - it's easier to access if you have a car however we saw a bus stop right next to the entrance and busses from Stockholm appeared to be servicing this area too but check first. Grounds are beautiful, green trees, lake views and a well manicured and updated property!

Wonderfully peaceful five-star boutique hotel

excellent place to experience a quieter part of stockholm not far from the heart of the city. 10 course dinner menu was exceptional. brunch also excellent. only place in the world i've found where you can get pure blueberry juice! if you're not accustomed to very salty cuisine, be sure to request no salt added! locals love their salt it seems.
only downside of stay was it took a bit of time before an uber ride showed up on the map. would recommend making a deal with your driver to the hotel for him or her to come get you when you need to go back to the city.

Short check in, very nice hotel

I ended up in this hotel as there were no spaces in Solna, due to a football game. Hotel was hard to find and i got there late at night. Check in was closed and I had to phone number to call at the entrance to find where the keys where... What if I had no phone or no battery? The person wanted to speak Swedish only and luckily the taxi driver helped me. Aside from that the location is beautiful and so are the rooms. I would go there for a weekend but less as a business traveller.

good but the rooms are very far fromt he building

The main hotel building is very nice, but the rooms are about 200m away. it was night and raining and I had to walk around the \"forest\" looking for the house where my room was. When I got to the house the room was very nice and comfortable. the other downside is that the hotel reastarunt closes early, I arrived around 10:30 pm and my only option to eat was a sandwich as there was not even a pizza or place to order food in the area.

Gott och flott

Trevlig och avkopplande vistelse i vackra omgivningar. Förtjusande trädgård nära Mälaren med lättillgängliga promenadstråk och konst. Hotellrummet var vackert dekorerat i slottstema med standard-bekvämligheter att tillgå. Smaksak om man föredrar stort dubbeltäcke istället för två singel-täcken. Saknade en liten välkomstgåva på rummet och hade önskat att kaffe fanns att tillgå (avgiftsfritt). Frukosten var enastående och höjde helhetsintrycket. Brett utbud av hemlagat och stor variation på läckerheter. På det stora hela nöjd och skulle rekommendera vistelsen.

Bra vandringsmål

Trevligt för romantisk övernattning! Går utmärkt att vandra dit, förslagsvis från busshållplats Manilla om man startar tidigt. Bra led genom vackra naturreservat (Upplandsleden), bara att följa de orange markeringarna. Sen kan man gå vidare dagen efter.

Härlig miljö. Härliga rum. Men... middagen. :-(

Görväln levererar på miljön. Omgivningarna är fina... rummen med de närmast mytiska sängarna är alltid bra. Bemötandet i receptionen är glatt och trevligt.

Dessvärre måste det sägas (igen): Restaurangens middagsservering håller inte vad svansföring online och prissättning lovar.

Själva maten är ojämn. Personalen var – åtminstone den kvinnliga servitrisen – trevlig. T o m sprudlande trevlig.

Men presentationer existerade inte.
Allt levereras mekaniskt (vi åt den 'fasta' menyn).
Vinkunskapen var inte märkbar.
En inlagd gurka (tror jag) mördade torsken, som saknade spänst.
Det är inte dyrt att få en fyrarätters för 825:- Men det är ett högt pris för vad Galleriet på Görväln levererar.

Restaurangen har varit ställets akilleshäl i åratal och jag hade verkligen gillat att bli överraskad. Damen som serverade ingav hopp (hon var fenomenalt glad). Men... eftersom några alternativ inte existerar på Görväln så MÅSTE middagen vara bättre.

Frukosten var bra. Ordinär. Kändes något snål jämfört med tidigare besök, men där och då lämnade man matsalen som en nöjd gäst.
Middagen är alltjämt det område där Görväln har förbättringspotential. Please, do better. Det skulle göra skillnad.

En paus i stressen

Vi hade hund med oss, perfekt miljö fick hundskål godis och så filt och en liten bädd som var tyvärr för liten för en schäfer 😂men tanken var god. Dock dyrt med 450kr, andra ställen brukar ligga runt 250kr

Mycket god mat och trevlig personal. Kul med lite biljard och drinkar på kvällningen . Härliga gångstråk med avslappnad miljö vid vattnet.

Superboende i fantastiskt miljö

Övernattning vid genomresa på väg från Umeå till Halland. Hade sett bilder från slottet tidigare och tyckt att det såg trevligt ut. Då priset på ett dubbelrum var helt överkomligt slog vi till.

Om vi ångrade oss? Nej verkligen inte. Fantastiskt boende i superfin miljö, god mat och trevlig service. Ett kanonställe helt enkelt 30 minuter från centrala Stockholm.

Hit kommer vi garanterat flera gånger.

Mycket trevlig miljö, men utan skärpa i detaljerna

Trevligt hotell med fina omgivningar. Utmärkt mat och service från personalen. Men prislappen sätter höga förväntningar på faciliteterna som inte helt infrias, t.ex. möjlighet att göra te och kaffe på rummet, mer än en stol på rummet för att sitta i och hänga kläder på, extra täcken, fungerande laddstolpe för bil. Miljötänket lyser också med sin frånvaro.

Överlag fantastiskt med dålig säng

Mysigt hotell, utmärkt service och fantastik mat. Tyvärr var sängen helt slut, som att ligga i en hängmatta. Lite dålig luft inrymmer med men det är ju också en gammal byggnad. Ordnas sängen är det helt klart 5/5. Vi bodde i rum 20 och det är en byggnad en bit ifrån huvudbyggnaden, möjligen är sängarna bättre i andra rum.

Överreklamerat boende - suverän middag

Tråkigt och alldeles för dyrt rum med för liten och för mjuk säng. Oengagerat mottagande i reception vid incheckning och utcheckning.
Lunchen var klart under förväntan - både service och maten - absolut inte prisvärd.

Middagen var helt fantastisk - verkar som att det är där krutet läggs. Middagspersonalen var proffs och maten var magisk.

Frukosten var av hög kvalitet.
Omgivningarna vackra att promenera i.

Tips till Görvälns slott:

Glöm inte bort era övernattande gäster - middagen var helt fantastisk men om det är det enda ni satsar på så kan man ju komma till er enbart för att äta middag.
Jag saknade en känsla av engagemang, personlighet och exklusivitet och tycker inte att boendet lever upp till hur ni profilerar er....

Underbart hotell i vacker omgivning. Frukosten var toppen och rummet var bra. Personalen var trevlig och vi fick bra bemötande. Det enda vi möjligen saknade var någonstans att sitta, det fanns bara en hård stol i rummet.

Fint läge och mysigt, men gamla dåliga sängar.

Slitna rum med trasiga lösa detaljer. Dubbelsängen var två söndersovda ihopsatta enkelsängar som var mera som hängmattor, bägge sov otroligt dåligt.

Annars var det fint och bra läge. Bägge blev dåliga av maten också men det var väldigt gott. Inte sugen på återbesök.

Fantastiskt rum med säng passande en kung!

Vi hade det mycket mysigt på slottet. Det är det bästa hotellet vi besökt i Sverige. Vi fick ett väldigt trevligt rum i ena flygeln precis vid slottet som kändes kungligt med en enorm säng och extremt sköna lakan och kuddar. Väldigt fint inrett överallt i passande stil till ett gammalt slott. De gamla trägolven är urmysiga. Kändes som man bodde på kungliga slottet och inte ett hotell! Frukosten var också mycket god och det var lugnt o skönt med lite gäster. Det här var i slutet på augusti. Utsikten var ju också väldigt trevlig. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka och provar fler av de fantastiska rummen.

Väldigt bra upplevelse, fantastisk slottsmiljö.

Lämnade egentligen inget som helst att önska. Eventuellt lite bättre ventilation då det var väldigt varmt på rummet men med tanke på årstiden så får man ha överseende med det.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel. Die Innenstadt ist mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist extra Klasse. Man kann in dem Hotel sehr gut entspannen.

Görvälns slott

Eftersom kommunen äger marken har allmänheten rätt att både ha fester och skräpa ned alldeles intill slottet. Ingen AC får installeras varför endast en minifläkt finns att tillgå. Fin frukost med fina råvaror! Trevlig personal! Dåligt med parkeringar på grund av teslaladdstolpar.

Det visade sig att vårt rum låg i en helt annan byggnad, inte i själva slottet, utan i ett vanligt hus ca 700m därifrån. Ganska snopet.

Unik miljö nära storstaden

Ett annorlunda boende nära storstaden, en helt annan upplevelse än ett vanligt hotell, till samma pris. Fin och historiskt intressant slottsmiljö med omgivningar för promenader och sjöbad. Väldigt bra frukost (stort utbud, mycket \"hemlagat\" och närproducerat) i fin restaurang.
Fantastiskt inredda rum med kanske den skönaste säng jag sovit i, både själva sängen och sängkläderna, täcke, kuddar.
Parkering en bra bit ifrån boendet. Man får ej veta i förväg i vilken byggnad man ska bo, så det är först förvirrat vart man ska och var man ska parkera. Eftersom det är en gammal slottsmiljö så är det av naturliga skäl kuperat och lite mer svårtillgängligt, vilket kan bli obekvämt om man har problem att gå i trappor och backar. Boende och restaurang i olika byggnader.

Had the pleasure to book an amazing thing everyone that can should try. Casual Friday at Görväln Castle. You arrive after 17.00 and you have a very smooth and welcoming check -in. You get your room that is very comfortable in the renovated facilities of this castell that have a lot of history. Very Boutique hotel decorated with the crown of everything is the Mille Notti bed and the bed linen that can not be described but have to be experienced. Kicked of the shoes and enjoyed some champagne in the room and just relaxed and got into weekend mood.
Then at 20.00 we had a reservation in the restaurant where there is a pre-booked fixed menu for Casual Friday guests, very high-end food and their amazing Sommelier had prepared a fantastic wine package to accommodate the 4 dishes. Job well done, could have been a bit more wine in the glasses but it was very interesting and complementing wines. After these 4 amazing dishes served and explained by the chef himself.
You where invited to the second floor for relaxing and enjoying a drink after dinner, we choose a traditional Gin & Tonic, but the young apprentice Adam made it into a very special drink with cucumber and black pepper in a very balanced and great way.
After an amazing sleep in the beautiful room it was time for breakfast and a very relaxed and smooth start of the Saturday. Left relaxed and pampered with an amazing start of the weekend.
If you get the chance, please try this! We are so glad we did.

Bra hotell men för få matalternativ

Hotellet var superfint och vi fick ett stort och härligt rum trots att vi ”bara” bokat dubbelrum. Området var jättefint och vi fick ett bra bemötande av personalen. Dock tycker jag att det är lite konstigt när ett hotell ligger såpass långt ut som detta gör att man till middag endast erbjuder små mellanrätter för ca 200 kr styck och rekommenderar 4 för att bli mätt. Det känns märkligt att som gäst inte ha något alternativ till att äta en middag för 700-800 kr exkl vin.

Fantastisk och härligt avkopplande ställe

Superhärlig upplevelse från första kontakten via mail tills dess att vi lämnade stället och checkade ut. Allt var toppklass, vacker miljö, trevligt bemötande och väldigt behagligt vackert rum. Perfekt om man vill ha avkoppling och lugn i en underbar omgivning. Vi besökte även restaurangen och den var lika bra som övriga stället. Underbar mat och extremt bra service! Har redan rekommenderat detta ställe till alla jag känner och kommer fortsätta rekommendera till de som frågar!

Loistomiljöössä sijaitseva ’kartanohotelli’, lyhyen automatkan päässä Tukholman keskustasta/lentokentältä/laivaterminaaleista. Lomareissumme osui hellekauteen, joten ilmastoinnin puute oli ikävä puute. Onneksi pulahdus pihapiirin Mälaren järveen tarjosi tilapäisen viilennyksen.
Illastimme linnan korkeatasoisessa ravintolassa. Kaikenkaikkiaan todella hyvä kokonaisuus.

Utmörkt slottshotell

Min fru, min svärmor och jag sov två nätter på hotellet. Utmärkt lyhördhet och vänligt bemötande av personalen. Uppgraderade min svärmors rum på eget initiativ. Bra frukost och god middag. Enda smolket i glädjebägaren var att vindrickare vänta 1timme på huvudrätten. Bättre än så kan ni. I övrigt: Rekommenderas varmt!

Fantastisk miljö

UNDERBAR närmiljö, hotellet hade mycket aktiviteter att erbjuda som picknick, sällskapsspel etc, underbara, gamla, men fräscha rum (dock utan AC MEN fläkt), regndusch, många fina byggnader, god frukost. Minus för att det inte fanns veganskt på frukosten men havremjölk fanns när jag bad om det.

Elegant och mysigt hotell (utan aircondition)

Hotellet är mysigt och väldigt fint inrett. Gården är sagolik med fina vägar och nära till vatten. Rummen är smakfullt inredda och personalen tillmötesgående. Maten är suverän och frukosten allt man kan önska sig. Det enda som drog ner lite på betyget var att det - inte finns aircondition på rummet - vilket på sommaren gör detta extremt varmt. En fläkt fick man låna från receptionen men värmen var väldigt påtaglig ändå. Ljuva svala sommarnätter går inte riktigt att få här.. Annars helt perfekt!

Slottsvistelse med modern touch

Sköna mjuka sängar. God middag med bra vinurval och en mindre meny. God och bra varierad frukost med varma och kalla rätter. Lånecyklar som gjorde det möjligt att cykla runt i närområdet till t ex fiket Bruket och de två badplatserna Görvälnsbadet och Kallhällsbadet. TV har endast två kanaler SVT1 och SVT2 vilket inte gjorde oss så mycket.
