This hotel fit our budget & needs for a two-night stay. More like a backpacker/biker hotel than a family hotel, but we were fine with that. Free parking in the tiny lot. Our seven year old daughter thought the tiny ship-cabin like room was neat. She loved sleeping in the bed that folded out from the desk, the cubby closet, and the round bathroom cabin. (Mind the step.) We roasted at night because the window opened only a few inches. It was pretty quiet indoors, but even through the window was open only a tiny crack, the noise from the parking lot was really bad. Just a few people hanging out, talking normally & having a smoke, but all night... The bare-floored room was clean, but the carpet in the common areas was terribly stained.

ANOTHER POINT THAT ASTONISHED US; WHEN I WAS MAKING RESERVATION ON HOTELS.COM I ESPECIALLY MARKED TWO ADULTS AND 1 CHILD IN THE SAME ROOM. HOTELS.COM GAVE APPROVAL. However, the upkeep of the room was not, the cleaning staff did not keep the room clean during our 3 day stay. This was my first time of staying at this Hotel. It was convenient for the nearby exhibition halls, and the hotel was OK, but the food in the evening was not very good quality at all. I has Lasagne, and I think my dog might have struggled to eat it!

This is a convenient hotel with good rooms when arriving from Arlanda to do early business in Kista Area. 20 minutes walk to main office area.

This is an OK hotel in the outskirts of Stockholm. If you arrive from the airport, you can save money by taking the bus to the central train station and then a metro to Kista and walk through some neighborhoods that reflect the poor side of Sweden.
Rooms are small, very basic. Breakfast is fairly good. Avoid eating at the nearby MacDonald as I had collateral effects as a result of that visit.

There are probably better locations for exploring central stockholm. the hotel is about 20-30 mins away on the metro. It is a good option if you're renting a car though and planning to travel outside stockholm as there are several car hire firms located near the hotel.

Bad and impolite checkin desk clerk
The checkin desk man is very impolite and does not understand what \"service\" means. I had a very bad experience with that guy in the evening on 11 January 2018. When I asked to talk directly with his manager, he said (and lied) he was the manager. He said he has had more than 10 years experience working in hotel, but obviously, his performance told me that he should not contiue the hotel service work, which is damaging the reputation of the hotel.

Stat away! Ligger utanför McDonalds där det samlades mycket gäng på kvällen, av den sort man gärna undviker. Slagsmål & burnouts på McD parkeringen/drive-through’n. Känns inte tryggt att passera eller ta sig till gåendes efter solnedgång. Om möjligt, välj ett annat hotell. Inget fel på rummet i sig (förutom dusch blandaren) och reception/lounge helt ok men servicen är usel, dålig koll på sin logistik och fullständigt usel service. Boka bara i nödfall. Ta taxi till/från.

Fick ett nytt rum men ingen kompensation öht.
Var tvungen att checka utbocka sedan in igen mellan dagarna. De saknade möjlighet att hantera samma bokning flera dagar i rad. Väldigt märkligt och enda hotellet jag varit på som inte klarat av att hantera flera nätter i rad.
Vidare ingick inte frukost och i samtliga fall var personalen fullständigt ointresserade. De hänvisade bara till att jag bokat rummet via hotels.com istället för deras egen websida. Uselt!
Det nya (städade) rummet var ok, bra säng men vatten blandaren i duschen fungerade riktigt dåligt. Ömsom skållhett, ömsom iskallt. :(
Stat away! Ligger utanför McDonalds där det samlades mycket gäng på kvällen, av den sort man gärna undviker. Slagsmål & burnouts på McD parkeringen/drive-through’n. Känns inte tryggt att passera eller ta sig till gåendes efter solnedgång. Om möjligt, välj ett annat hotell. Inget fel på rummet i sig (förutom dusch blandaren) och reception/lounge helt ok men servicen är usel, dålig koll på sin logistik och fullständigt usel service. Boka bara i nödfall. Ta taxi till/från.

Behövde någonstans att sova en natt under en lång bilresa. Det här blev perfekt! Praktiskt med parkering helt intill, hundrum på markplan, killen i repan fixade mat trots sen timme och supermottagande från all personal vi kom i kontakt med. Vi sätter Kista på vår lista över bra ställen att stanna på när vi är \"on the road\"!

Located next to Haga Park, home to members of the royal family, Hotel Gio is within walking distance of Friends Arena, the Mall of Scandinavia, and Karolinska Hospital. Buses to Stockholm city center (12 minutes) and Arlanda Airport (40 minutes) stop right outside.
Our living room is ideal for work, relaxation, or mingling with colleagues. We can host events for up to 150 people and offer meeting rooms for smaller groups.
