Caroline House Nashville

This is more like home than a B&B! A beautiful, welcoming and detail oriented atmosphere that is totally accommodating. From the fresh ground local roasted morning coffee on the front porch, to a midnight snack on the quaint back porch after taking in everything Nashville. Loved experiencing three (3) different meal vouchers at our own pace in the order we chose. Thank you so very much Ashley and Michael, we feel blessed to have experienced your fabulous space!

Amazing On Many Levels!

After spending time researching hotels, air b&b's, etc... we decided to give the Carolina House a try. I'm so glad we did! What an amazing property. We have stayed at b&b's all over the world but nothing like this. Ashely & Michael's approach to the concept of a bed and breakfast is quite clever and in addition it supports their local community which is high on our list.

The house is easy to find and located in a quaint neighborhood. Upon entering we were greeted by Ashley who gave us an overview of the property. Such a beautiful home that is tastefully decorated. We chose The Coal Room which gave us luxurious sleeping quarters but also additional space to relax, read and spread out. In the mornings we were greeted with the smell of coffee, which is roasted nearby, and then headed off for our breakfast. Each morning you use a coupon that is provided by the Inn to have breakfast at one of the local restaurants. This was a fabulous way of trying different things and each place was amazing! You are walking distance to each of them which allowed us to feel more like a local by learning the area. The coffee at each place was also really nice. ( I consider myself a coffee snob!) On top of all of that every night we came in, there would be some interesting treat left on the bar for the guest. Each night it was something different. We felt like kids on Christmas morning going in to see what Ashley and Michael left this time. Lastly, we loved seeing their dog Desi. Desi is well trained and not intrusive. I sat out back at times and she would come to say hi and then lie quietly.

When in Nashville again, I know now that research is not needed to find the best place to stay. I will come back to the Carolina House Inn. Amazing stay, amazing owners and definitely one amazing property. The new spin on bed and breakfast is here!

5 Star Inn in Nashville

Ashley and Michael at The Caroline House Nashville were very gracious, welcoming hosts. They helped make our visit truly special.

The Inn is convenient to local restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. After delicious coffee at the inn in the mornings, we were able to easily walk to breakfast at the recommended local breakfast spots (paid for by The Caroline House). Parking in Nashville is quite a challenge so we left our vehicle in the provided parking at The Caroline House and used Uber or Lyft for the short trips to get to dinner or downtown attractions. Save for one or two trips to sites that were several miles away, we left our vehicle safely parked at The Caroline House from Monday to Friday.

Our room accommodations were lovely, quiet, and inviting. This was perfect for a stress free getaway! Both Ashley and Michael were gracious hosts who were extremely helpful in suggesting local sites, events and the best local restaurants. We heartily recommend The Caroline House Nashville for a great B&B experience in Nashville!

I got lucky and found this Inn last minute. Very greatly the weekend was open. Great hospitality. Tons of local knowledge of restaurant and enetertainment. They really make you feel welcomed. The coal room was fantastic, clean with about the most compfortable bed I ever slept on. Nicest amenities close by. If eve in Nashville again, I will be staying here.

Beautiful, comfortable B&B near Nashville

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Caroline House! Every detail was perfect. The house decor is lovely and comfortable and spotless. We loved hanging out on the back patio at night and appreciated having access to the kitchen and the drinks in fridge. Being able to walk to different local restaurants for breakfast was great. We especially liked Box Bongo Bakery. I had the most amazing coconut cream coffee and smoked salmon bowl. And we enjoyed petting sweet Desti, when we were mission our own Golden Retriever. Great location too---an easy Uber or Lyft ride downtown.

Outstanding!

Very beautiful location just minutes away from downtown Nashville. Walking around the neighborhood was relaxing and very safe. Local coffee houses and restaurants were fun and provided a variety of fabulous food (all within walking distance)! Our hostess and host were very accommodating and knowledgeable about Nashville and where the must-see places were. They also provided excellent transportation tips. Ashley and Michael had good senses of humor and were very warm and insightful. The inn was very beautiful and very comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Caroline House again and will recommend it to others!

Great home, neighborhood, service and southern hospitality

We stayed at Caroline House last month on a weekend trip to visit family and see our son perform after his week long piano camp at Belmont University. What a great place to stay! Outstanding customer service from the hostess, Ashley. It is like staying at home away from home. Beautifully restored home, immaculately cleaned, with interesting memorabilia throughout. The beds and linens are 1st class. We love staying in historic homes over hotels. The neighborhood is great with several choices of great breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurants within a few blocks for the house. We will be back to stay again on our next visit to Nashville. Thanks for the warm southern hospitality.

Wonderful Nashville Getaway

My 19 year-old son and I decided to take a three day trip to Nashville on a whim. I am glad we booked at Caroline House. I am a TripAdvisor reader, and this B & B had great reviews, which made me book. Ashley and Michael were perfect hosts, and the house was spotless (I am a clean freak!). My son and I stayed in the Coal Room, which was the entire downstairs. It had 2 queen beds, a sitting area and TV, a pool table, and a wonderful walk-in shower. All of the arrangements exceeded expectations. The one thing I especially loved (because I try to stay B & B whenever I can) was the fact that breakfast was off site whenever you wanted to eat. Usually, you have to get up to eat by 9 or 9:30, but we got up around 10 every day and ate at our leisure. I loved the stay and the little things that Ashley thought of, from wonderful sheets and duvets to a simple noise cancelling machine. We never heard a step from the upstairs or even the shower running! It was truly a great stay!

We considered a downtown hotel but so glad we stayed at Caroline House. Its location was perfect...walking distance to great restaurants and an easy uber ride to the downtown area. Michael and Ashley were great hosts. We loved waking up to a pot of hot coffee, and appreciated the wonderful breakfast recommendations provided by the host. Finally, Michael and Ashley were so well informed about Nashville. That guided us to great experiences during our anniversary weekend.

Trip with Mom

My Mom and I stayed for three days and had a wonderful time relaxing and catching some of the sites around town.

Our hosts have this game down cold. The attention to detail is perfect. Always innovating and trying to do better when they have already succeeded. We lacked nothing and had everything at our fingertips. The best juice, coffee, cookies, sheets, showerheads (worth the trip) and so much more. They were always full of surprises. Sample bottles of vodka, chocolate, cookies. The breakfast tickets to local breakfast places hit the spot.

We would definitely stay here again and could not recommend them more.

They also comped us a dinner but won?t admit it!

Fabulous B&B

My husband and I stayed in the Rose Master Suite for 4 nights in June, 2018 and couldn't be happier with our choice. After booking, we received a wealth of pre-stay information on the property and recommendations for attractions and restaurants. Ashley was very welcoming upon our arrival and a very attentive and friendly hostess during our stay. We enjoyed our conversations and the additional information she willing provided regarding the various neighborhoods, etc. We felt like we made a friend! Loved Desti, our furry four legged friend. There were many little touches during our stay that made a big impact....a large locally made candy bar left in our room one day, Jack Daniels and wine for a Friday night happy hour, Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream left out for a night cap or cookies for a bedtime snack.

The photos on the website are exactly what the property looks like inside and out. Our room was on the main level and very well appointed. The bed was very comfy with fabulous linens. Nice plush robes were provided. Noise from other guests or the neighborhood was never an issue. We sat on the front porch a few times and relaxed with a nightcap on the back covered patio sofa several nights after returning from long days of sightseeing, eating and drinking.

The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location is excellent. Close Uber ride to Broadway and all the other attractions. Never waited more than 4 min for an Uber to arrive. We loved that we could walk to the many restaurants and shops in the 12South neighborhood. The tokens to eat breakfast at local establishments in walking distance is not only an awesome idea to support local business, but is very generous.

We highly recommend staying here. Thank you Ashley, Michael and Desti!

Shhhh!!! This Nashville's best B&B...the Caroline House Nashville Historic Inn

My wife and I stayed at the Caroline House Nashville Historic Inn on 6/1 - 6/3/18. Our stay was outstanding from the moment we arrived to departing. Ashley and Michael are excellent Innkeepers. Plus Desti!

The Inn is absolutely beautiful. The Caroline suite was perfect. Ashley and Michael have created an amazing Inn. We look forward to staying in the Inn's other suites and sharing the Caroline House with our friends.

The Caroline House is close to Broadway (Honky-tonks), Ryman Auditorium, The Hermitage, and is in close walking proximity to many excellent local restaurants in 12South. Uber / Lyft cost to Broadway is approximately $12 each way. Definitely worth it.

The Inn?s Suites look exactly like the website photos.

Shhhh!!! We'll be back soon and will definitely stay at the Caroline House Nashville Historic Inn.

Southern charm at its best

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caroline House Nashville. The hosts did a great job highlighting local businesses and interest points and making us aware of what was in the area in general. The location is great. Within walking distance of shopping and eateries on 12th Street and downtown Nashville is a short drive away. Every evening, upon our return to the Inn, we were greeted with either a snack or beverage, again highlighting local offerings, which we loved. The southern charm was stunning down to the smallest details and the hospitality was just as incredible. The location is perfect for people of all walks of life. Southern hospitality at its best!

We stayed at The Caroline House and enjoyed every minute. Ashley and Michael have truly found their calling in hosting. We felt welcome from the first minute meeting them until our departure. Their house has every amenity imaginable plus more! Beautifully decorated yet very comfortable. We discovered many interesting restaurants, coffee houses, shops and entertainment upon their recommendations. The neighborhood felt very safe and was fun to explore while walking or driving. Michael and Ashley are both well versed in their neighborhood, Nashville and the surrounding areas. A small detail that was appreciated was the ability to correspond during our stay via text messaging if needed. Ashley even texted us after we left wishing us a safe trip home. We have to mention Desti, the family pet. As a non-pet person, I have to confess that she is a beautiful dog and she was so well behaved and friendly, and I felt very comfortable around her. Desti shared our evenings on the restful back porch. We have already recommended their lovely home to friends and talked to other friends about making another trip to The Caroline House with us. Nashville House Hunt

My husband and I had planned a trip to Nashville and were looking for a place to stay while we were there. During our search, we found Caroline House. We are fairly new to Bed and Breakfasts, but the description, photos and reviews made it very intriguing. We could not have had a better experience staying at Caroline House. It is run by Ashley and her husband Michael. From our initial booking and throughout our stay, Ashley was readily available for any questions we had. One of the things we loved was how the Caroline House makes efforts to support the local community, from the freshly ground coffee available in the house, to the included breakfast each morning at local eateries near the Caroline House. Although we were one of a few groups of guests staying at the Caroline House, Ashley made it seem so welcoming with welcome boards saying where each group was from, to instructions on how to operate the televisions, even a refrigerator that had complimentary drinks. Our favorite part was the before bed goodies. One night we were treated to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and another night was a local liqueur to sample. The rooms are all decorated with a different theme, and we had no issues with hearing noise from the other guests. The bedding and towels were so soft and comfortable, and we were even provided plush bath robes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caroline House and would stay there again without hesitation. The value, location and hospitality are top notch!

Absolutely Lovely Time, Wonderful Stay at The Caroline House!

Wow! What a beautiful B & B, and Ashley and Michael could not have been more gracious hosts. This is head and shoulders above any B & B we have ever visited. Aside from the lovely accommodations, Ashley stayed right in touch with us as we were arriving, even texting us to let us know exactly where to meet our Uber at the airport. We stayed in the Old Coal Room which was a lovely suite, and perfect for any sports enthusiast. The breakfasts at the local eateries were well chosen and yummy, and totally walkable to the Inn. The little extra touches were wonderful, like the nightcap of the sipping whiskey sitting on the counter when we arrived home for the evening, and the wonderful coffee in the morning. All just so nice. Ashley and Michael are a lovely couple and made us feel so welcome, in fact, it felt more like we were visiting friends! Ashley was always ready to offer suggestions on where to go, places to see, where to get the best food, all just so lovely. The website is wonderful, and even includes a guest portal with lots of great local information and insider information from our hosts. We are so glad we picked The Caroline House Inn and truly look forward to returning again and again to visit our new friends in Nashville!

A GREAT B&B in Nashville

Just finished a FANTASTIC 3 night stay at the Caroline House! Both Ashley & Michael were great hosts. Both were more than happy to offer insights into activities to try or bars/Honky-tonks to check out during my visit. The B&B is beautiful, with many great amenities to it, and the room (The Rose Master Suite) was lovely. Lyft/Ubering around was easy with the inn's central location. It was also great to check out the breakfast at a number of restaurants near the Inn that I wouldn't have tried otherwise. I'm looking forward to staying here the next time I come to town!

Best weekend getaway

This is a beautiful home located in a quiet neighborhood that is just a short walk away from shopping and restaurants. We stayed in the Coal Room, which was perfect for us and our teenagers. The pool table gave them something to do other than be forced to play on electronic devices. Ashley and Michael were very gracious and gave us several suggestions of some of the less tourist areas to visit throughout town. I really liked the cards for breakfast at the local restaurants/coffee shops. It gave us the flexibility to eat on our schedule as well as enjoy some of the nearby cuisine. Our stay exceeded all expectations. Thank you Ashley and Michael!!!!

Caroline House

Loved this place. The minute you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome. We had the Coal Room and we loved the extra room it provided. Really liked the breakfast cards we received, this enabled us to eat breakfast on our time frame and to also see the local flavor of the neighborhood. This home is beautiful and very welcoming. The innkeepers have thought of everything to make your stay the best. They're a wealth of knowledge about Nashville and the surrounding areas. Also enjoyed the private site they provide once you book that list various things to do and places to eat in the area. I especially loved their dog Desinity which is actually why I booked this place in the first place. When I return to Nashville I will choose this bed and breakfast again. Can't recommend it enough.

Southern Perfection

This past weekend (Feb. 2018) we had the pleasure of staying at the Caroline Historical Inn in Nashville. We were impressed with how the owners stayed in touch with us prior to our arrival and the tips they gave us for what to pack, things to do, restaurants to eat at, and local transportation options. Ashley greeted us upon our arrival, and made us feel immediately welcome. Our first impression of the neighborhood and the Caroline House went above our expectations. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had all of the amenities and ambiance that guests could possibly want. And the property grounds, especially the back patio, were stunning. We were impressed by the owners? support of local businesses, from the coffee served to the breakfast options, and their love for the rejuvenation of the neighborhood. The house is within walking distance (or a short Uber or Lyft ride) to all varieties of restaurants and shops, and only 2-3 miles from most downtown Nashville attractions. Friendly and informative, both Ashley and Michael were excellent hosts throughout our visit. They were always available to answer any questions either in person or by phone. And their beautiful dog, Desti, was very well-behaved and loving. We absolutely look forward to staying there again!

Best B&B in Nashville

I recently stayed st the Caroline House in Nashville for several days. It is fabulous! It is beautifully decorated and the beds are amazing! So comfortable and wonderful sheets - you will sleep like a baby! Ashley and Michael are the perfect hosts. I love the way they offer breakfast - they use local neighborhood cafe?s the are delicious. Everything was first class and I won?t stay anywhere else in Nashville!

Nashville Gem

There are so many options to stay in any city. My husband and I were traveling for pleasure for the first time to Nashville and looked into hotels and airbnbs. We had not stayed in a Bed and Breakfast for a long time. We ran across Caroline House and were impressed with the connection to local dining, it's placement in a historic neighborhood and easy access to the city. At the last minute we decided to not rent a car, instead using the nearby city bikes and Lyft. We did not miss a car at all. The neighborhoods are lovely to walk through. We loved returning to the Caroline House where we stayed in the Babe Ruth room which had every amenity we needed. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the public spaces, the porch on the front, and the yard out back, and Desti the sweet and friendly dog. Breakfast at different local restaurants was a highlight and we got into many conversations with locals which gave us more of the flavor of the area. We highly recommend this Inn for anyone who wants comfort, local flavor, a quiet neighborhood, and a beautifully decorated home.

Absolutely the Best B&B

We recently stayed at The Caroline House in Nashville and loved loved loved it! The historic house is beautiful. It is meticulously clean and the beds and sheets are amazing. Guests are provided breakfast cards through local restaurants which is a unique and delicious idea. There are still plenty of fresh snacks and drinks on site. We loved the easy access to downtown. Ashley and Michael were very helpful with suggestions on places to eat and visit. They went well beyond making sure our stay there was perfect. Caroline House is hands down the best combination of old and new - quaint historical home with all the nicest modern comforts. We plan to be in Nashville for future visits and most definitely will be staying at Caroline House again.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and could not have been happier. The urban BNB experience was new, but great. Text messages along the way to help us get there and have the best experiences, coffee before breakfast, a house doggo!! And a perfect room, bed, shower... wanted to take that home with us! Unique B&B in Nashville

We are glad that we have chosen the Caroline House Historic Inn to stay in while visiting Nashville. The Old Coal Room was our home away from home for three nights and we could not be more satisfied with our accommodation. It is a large basement space uniquely decorated, dream of any football or hockey fan. Private bathroom and plenty of towels, luxurious bedding, billiard pool table and comfortable sitting area with large screen tv are the amenities of this room. We liked the original idea of having breakfast vouchers for nearby restaurants. Our vouchers covered our breakfasts completely. Each of the restaurants has its own style offering plenty of delicious meals and beverages to choose from their menus. We also enjoyed excellent home-made coffee every morning at the Inn. We left very early on Sunday morning and were pleasantly surprised that our hosts made an effort to prepare coffee for us so early. Thanks Ashley and Michael for your incredible hospitality. You deserve five plus stars for your hard work and efforts to please your guests and to make their stay in Nashville unforgettable.

Location of the Caroline House Inn is excellent: five to ten minutes drive to downtown amenities, and about half hour drive to the wonderful historic sites around Nashville. Everything you could want & more!

Wow! This is honestly the BEST hospitality I have ever experienced! The hosts thought of everything to make us as feel as comfortable & welcome as possible. In addition to our beautiful room with an excellent mattress, soft sheets, luxury towels & robes - we had access to the front & back porch, exercise room, living room, and kitchen. Each spot was so inviting. The fridge was stocked with a wide assortment of complimentary drinks. Fresh perked high quality coffee awaited us each morning. We really enjoyed eating breakfast at local coffee shops within walking distance using the gift cards that came as part of our package. If that wasn't enough, we received complimentary locally crafted chocolate & vodka. No doubt, we'll be back. We've found a new favorite home away from home!

NOT a Bed and Breakfast

Beautifully restored older home, but not authentic. Room was comfortable, clean however small and needs at least one chair. The owners were very friendly but not engaged in the business. Coupons for instance, breakfast coupons at local coffee shops which may or may not cover a breakfast. Room was not serviced in any way during three nights stay. Expected much more for what we paid. Making my own coffee and walking to breakfast IS NOT SERVICE. We frequent bed and breakfasts throughout the United States and this is one of the most expensive for the experience. It felt more like a rent a room, than a bed and breakfast.

The Best Bed and Bredfast in the US!

Carolines House, The location is awesone and It is a beautiful and historic hotel. you are right on the center of Nasville. Great restaurant and easy walk to downtown. I love the hotel!! has a beautiful Southern charming. I enjoyed my stay and I would definitely go again. Thank you, Ashely and Michael, both of you were the best hostess that I ever had....

We loved this place. Very nicely updated. Very well furnished/equipped. Our room had a very comfortable bed, private bath, TV and a pool table! Ashley and Michael (hosts) were very helpful with suggestions for tours, etc. Location was less than 10 minute Uber ride from downtown. We really enjoyed the breakfast plan where we were able to sample local coffee shops each day (walking distance). Coffee, snacks and refreshments were available on site 24/7. Highly recommend this place for your stay.

Truly Exceptional

Our stay at Caroline House was wonderful from start to finish! We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay from the considerate hosts to the beautifully restored home to the delicious breakfast options. The wonderful restaurants that hosted us had many delicious options to choose from. They were a very short and beautiful walk down the street. Relaxing, peaceful, and luxurious are three words that describe our weekend at the Caroline house. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely B&B!

World Class B&B

My wife and I just spent three nights at the Caroline House while visiting Nashville to see the total solar eclipse and to celebrate my birthday. We have stayed at B&Bs all over the world and the Caroline House is truly a world class inn. The Caroline House is located on a quiet residential street in the lovely 12 South District of Nashville. Ashley and Michael, the hosts, could not have been nicer. They greeted us at the door with champagne and wished me a happy birthday. We stayed in the ?coal room,? which they have converted into an enormous guest suite. Along with the queen beds, we had a pool table and a gigantic tv in our suite. Ashley and Michael provided great advice on the best places to eat in Nashville, and we particularly appreciated Michael?s advice on Nashville?s many music venues. If you are looking for a place to stay in Nashville, the Caroline House should be at the top of your list.
