Booked this hotel because it advertised that breakfast was included. When we walked down on our first morning, we found out that it was NOT included. But the staff was extremely nice, room was clean and the shuttle drop off/pick up was great! Also, be aware that there is a charge to valet/park your vehicle per night.

Overall it is a modern hotel w nice aesthetics. It is not walking distance to Main Street but there are not many choices to stay in Breckenridge when looking at nicer options... Id say the hotel has the basic amentities (small gym) 2 restaurants which lobby restaurant is basic bar food and noone finished their food, the service was not helpful as bartenders said come down and order your food were too busy to deliver room service, then I requested late checkout by 1-hour to have breakfast as I was traveling w a child and 2 dogs and they denied me, then waited for 30 minutes for valet to bring car when there was no line... It is run by young kids that focus more on socializing amongst themselves then tending to the guests unfortunately...

The property has 10 floors. You have to take two elevators if you are staying 7th floor and above. From the entrance of the hotel to your room cane take up to 15 min between two elevators and wait time of elevator. Just make sure you staying 6th floor and below at the hotel. The hotel is nice and has good food but expensive. It is all good otherwise.

This is the 3rd time we stayed here and truly enjoyed our stay! The hotel is about 20 steps from Peak 9 base. Not exactly ski in/out but it has 2 hot tubs, ski valet, and on spot parking (with a $50 fee). It’s also dog friendly. We will be back next ski season!

Front desk staff were rude and cold. Mention to them housekeeping did not come by, I was told I had to request for them to come, was never told that when I checked in. They failed to mention that they were going to charge extra fees at the end of checkout. I got engaged on this trip and the hotel just ruined the experience of it for me. Staff is not very welcoming.

Initially we were led to the worst room possible...with views of A/C systems right outside our balcony...but I insisted on moving, so we ended up in a room with a great mountain view! The room itself was very nice and spacious.

However there were some shortcomings. The A/C was regulated (stopped at 68 degrees)...and the room temperature was too warm at nights. Also, the room had an espresso machine, but no standard coffee machine...with no condiments (sugar, cream). Lastly, the showerhead was very weak!

Hotel services were terrible. For starters, the maid service was really bad. On the day that I requested service AFTER 11:30 am, they failed this request in more ways than one. Their valet attendant forgot to add my husband's ski gear in our rental car one day...and when my husband realized this, we had to drive back to get it. It costed us an hour of our day in Vail! Their complimentary shuttle service was even worse. Completely unreliable! One night, we nearly lost our dinner reservations because this slovenly driver showed up at least 20 minutes LATE (with no apology at that)...even running inside the hotel for a bathroom break (on top of this massive delay)! On top of all this, he dropped us off at the wrong drop-off location...seemingly on purpose!

Despite these sub-par services, the hotel services and fees were outrageous...$50 daily for valet, and $60 daily for resort fees! Frankly, I feel we deserve a portion of these valet and resort fees refunded!!!

Stayed here last weekend, we loved it!
Pros:
- friendly/helpful staff
- overall nice quality, clean, boutique type hotel
- location - about a 7 min walk to main street, walk across the street and ski down to a lift.
- live music in the lobby in the evenings (fri/sat) was very good
- ski valet - they store and warm/dry your boots and skis - you enter from the lobby area or outside and go right out to the mountain - they store your shoes while you go and they are super quick and helpful
- 2 hot tubs out on a deck
- free hot cider every day after you get back from the mountain
- free smores at the fire pit one night a week
- shuttle - evenings it comes about every 10 min to various spots on main street. it was hard to figure out at first but just ask the lobby staff to explain the website to you then it's easy to understand! Takes you to main street or back to the hotel - great option if you don't want to walk.
-Staff is super friendly.
- room was very spacious, plenty of drawer space, and various hooks and hanging areas for all your ski gear!,
Cons:
- if you are on floors 6 -10 you will have to take two elevators to get to your room. you have to walk down a LONG hallway for the first and then down another hallway to get to the 2nd elevator. I chose my room on the 10th thinking I would get a better view but then it was a hassle every time to go to lobby.
- breakfast options were ok - could use more options. There was a burrito, couple breakfast sandwiches, muffins, and pastries

They charge for everything, even though the room rates are already expensive for the area. For those who want to ski at the Quicksilver lift, the hotel offers no assistance whatsoever. Even buying lift tickets is entirely up to the guest. There are no discounts or assistance with any services related to lift tickets or equipment rental.

Terrible experience in the restaurant for dinner over worked kitchen staff waited for over hour for the entrée after appetizers. Food was un edible Manager comp meals however definitely ruined the evening really can’t understand how a hotel cannot provide adequate food service to their guests and if the kitchen is running late, how long does it really take for a pasta dish and a half roasted chicken ?

The room we were given was on the eighth floor. It was a room reached after walking hundreds of meters and changing elevators twice. Considering that elderly people like us already have difficulty breathing at high altitudes, you can imagine how difficult it must be to reach a room after walking hundreds of meters. We went back to reception, explained the situation to the receptionist who had greeted us coldly, and this time we were moved to a room on the fifth floor, accessible by a single elevator, with a very limited view. From the very first evening, we encountered a shuttle problem. They handed us a piece of paper and told us to connect to the internet and arrange a shuttle from there. What nonsense! This morning, when we used the hairdryer, the bathroom fuse blew. We arrived at the room at 3 pm and found it still hadn't been fixed. The next morning, the hairdryer tripped the fuse again. The mess, but the worst part is waiting for half an hour in freezing cold for the shuttle. Unfortunately, my wife caught the flu. Even worse, she can't visit her mother, who was urgently hospitalized, to avoid infecting her. I don't think I need to write anything more.

Everything was really great except for the first night. When we arrived, I had already done the mobile check in. I stopped at the desk to ask if there was anything else I needed to do. The front desk attendant said no and proceeded to tell us to go up one floor. We then realized the elevator was broken. I went back to the desk to ask if there was another elevator and he oh it’s just yeah just up one floor on the stairs, sorry about the elevator. It actually ended up being 2 floors. He never mentioned there were other elevators or where they were. It wasn’t until the middle of day 2 that we noticed there was another elevator that would’ve led directly to our room. It wouldn’t have been a big issue, but it was a ski trip meaning our suitcases were heavy. It would’ve been nice if we were directed to the other elevator.

I reserved a room in September and was told when I checked out the rooms were assigned based on availability upon arrival. We had two small dogs and had to hike to the back of the hotel to take 2 elevators to the 10th floor. I reserved the room as a pet friendly room and as soon as we walked in the room after a 12 hour drive we were called from the front desk and told there was a $75.00 pet fee on top of all the other fees. I was also told by the front desk when I asked later that night the kitchen was closed but after I went to the bar and was told I could still order so luckily I was able to bring food back to the room located in the back 40 acres of the hotel. Additionally you advertise pet areas for them to use the facilities. This does not exist. The only good experience was the valet personnel. So for over $500.00 for a room that I booked in September at $262.00 I had a horrible experience and got to pay for it through the nose. I’ve traveled all over the world and been to Hiltons all over and this by far has been my worst experience EVER! If a refund is possible I would gladly accept it!

Alpenrock is a nice place. Our room was perfect looking out at the mountains. A bit of a problem with housekeeping communication. Please note, they do not begin to tidy the rooms until 11:00a. Make sure you review the shuttle drop off / pick up procedures.

Great hotel and location but don’t understand the design. It was very annoying to take an elevator from the 3rd floor lobby to the 5th, walk a maze of hallways, get in another elevator to go up to the 6th, sometimes more walking and a third elevator to get to the 9th floor where we stayed. Only reason I can’t give it 5 stars
