I stayed at Krym Studios in Wynwood, and while the location is definitely a plus, right in the heart of Wynwood- the overall experience didn’t match the price point.
From the outside, the property looks much older than what the listing photos suggest, which was disappointing on arrival. The interior was decent, but for what I paid, I expected a much higher level of quality and upkeep.
The furniture was just okay and noticeably worn, giving it a used feel rather than a well-maintained space. The bed was comfortable, which I appreciated, and the kitchen area was functional. However, having two refrigerators- one older unit with visible rust and a smaller mini fridge, felt mismatched and below expectations.
What really stood out in a negative way was the maintenance. The toilet seat wasn’t even properly secured, it was missing screws and detached from the toilet, which is a basic issue that should have been addressed before any guest arrival.
Overall, the stay was acceptable, but for the price, I expected better amenities, proper maintenance, and a more polished experience.

There was nothing comfy nor chic about the studio I stayed in. The pictures are deceptive. The property is run-down and the room needs a serious renovation. The decoris not chic, terrible, and nothing matches. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. The wall behind the bed has visible signs of water damage from the AC, which is EXTREMELY loud might I add. The bathroom is tiny, has mold on the ceiling and there's no shower glass to prevent the floor from getting wet. .

We had a great time at the apartment! It is surrounded by SO many things to do and there’s so much art on the buildings to see. Parking was easy and it felt private and secure for Miami. The host was also super quick to respond for any questions and even sent me recommendations for places to go eat! I would stay again in a heartbeat!! 100 out of 5 stars.

The building has visible signs of neglect. The lock on door does not seem safe. Lights at night were not lit. TV did not work. Walls in room were in bad condition. Management promise to bring remote for TV and never did. Total rat trap. I am 60 years old male and felt unsafe the entire time.

The picture was extremely flattering. It’s actually rather dirty and in a not very nice neighborhood. It didn’t matter because our door code didn’t work and there was no one on property, so we went to another hotel. I contacted the hotel, they told me the code worked. They kept our deposit. My question is why ask for a review when you made no effort to rectify the situation.?

The location is just perfect. Parking (free) on the site is perfect. Communication is fantastic, text, WhatsApp, any question - no problem. Everything is clean - towels, sheets, plates, glasses - anything you might need. The shower was hot and plenty of water. Huge fridge.

Great location, but you get what you pay for. Zero frills kind of place basically a hostel that you don’t have to share with anyone. My first room had a horrific mildew smell and the management team was really helpful and moved me to a new room eventually so there’s that at least.

By far the most filthy hotel I have EVER seen (and I've stayed in 1000's of place across the world). The ceiling has a giant hole, drywall falling down from water damage, the shower is filled with black mold and tiles are falling off the wall. Show-stopper—I found a bug in the bed. Oh, then there's the overflowing dumpster at the entrance and dead cat on the sidewalk. I had to leave and stay on a friend's couch until I could get a new place, and Rocketstay refuses to consider any type of refund, saying that they have since sent maintenance to address the problem. I saw how they 'addressed' these problems in the past (previous mold painted over in the shower. This place should be condemned. Not as advertised!!

I wanted to send a huge thank you to the staff at Krymwpod-studios. They were so kind and helpful throughout my stay, even attempting to help a previous gues track down a missing package. You can tell that they really appreciate their guests!
I will be returning to Miami each summer over the period of 5 years for a yoga teacher training, and plan to stay again with them each year. It’s truly a bargain and everything is walkable. Wynwood is such a cool areas, and both the design Dustrict and Mid-Town are right there too. I would highly recommend a stay here, for sure!

The location is pretty good and the unit I was in felt safe.
The AC worked and I was not bothered by the noise, it was normal for an air conditioner.
The washing machine and dryer were functional but kind of awkward.
The shower floor is dated and felt a little gross due to standing water between the tiles. The shower drain was a little smelly and drain flies were a constant nuisance.
There was also a leak in the roof during my stay but only during the rain. Fixed that with a trash can and informed them, no big deal.

In summary, I didn't come with the expectation of luxury so I think this place is fair for singles or couples who just need a place to stay.

When I booked, I got an email saying I needed to give additional information before I could check in so I clicked the link and was asked to answer 4 questions. I believe 1 was about noise. Can't remember 2 of them, but I think the 3rd should be considered gender discrimination. It asked you to acknowledge that, if your towels have make-up on them, you'll be required to pay for them. There's no way to continue without ticking the box either.
On check in day there was communication, but it was pretty meaningless. They said to park "behind the 2 story building". What they don't tell you is that you have to drive down the most narrow "driveway?!" I've ever seen. I drove around the place 3 times before I walked down there because it doesn't look like a place you should be driving. Camaro:75 inches wide. Driveway:79. Building on one side, metal fence on the other. It's a TINY dirt lot with no lines or assigned spaces and no room to turn the car around. They asked that we all "be considerate" of each other when parking. Yep.
Plaster was falling off the wall in a big way, sticky, yellowish splatters all over the walls & ceiling, vinyl floors were separating & coming up, bathroom sink didn't drain, lights flickered constantly, A/C was dirty, loud, & inefficient, 2 outlets in the whole room - none in bathroom, glasses were sticky & had a film on them, door to the fridge & bathroom opened in the wrong direction, I ran out of hot water while showering. And that's just what I can fit.

Avoid this place if you can. The only good thing about it was its location in Wynwood. The bed is not a queen bed, as advertised. It’s a junior at best. The mattress was all springs, making it difficult to sleep. The air conditioner turns on like a loud engine, also making it difficult to sleep. There was one outlet in the whole place, next to the bed (none in the bathroom), which was so old that electronics plugs just fell out of it. The lighting was terrible and harsh. There isn’t so much as a toilet paper holder or a towel holder. The bathroom is tiny and not as pictured. The plywood(?) was peeling off the side of the sink and there was mold in the corner of the ceiling. Towels and toiletries were paltry. The owning company was communicative and checked up to find out about the issues but ultimately did nothing (other than send two towels). They’re clearly not maintaining these rooms well and the pictures are misleading.

Lost reservation because my card declined, and I didn’t know anything until I got there around 10pm and traveling from 5 hours away. Not one contacted me to tell me this and latter I was very difficult to contact anyone to find out what happened. I had to go through Expedia. By the time I found a place to sleep I was 1 am. Worth the stay for a few days of fun in Miami
Overall, I really enjoyed my birthday in Miami and staying at the Krym was very convenient. It eventually began to feel like a little home away from home. There are a few improvements that could be made such as a trash can for the kitchen and extra towels and sheets. The room tends to get sweaty when it’s humid and several times our clothes and the bed felt wet. I had 2 chargers plugged into the wall but they didn’t work afterwards, not sure if it was due to the wet walls. However, there is an air conditioner! We also saw a few cockroaches. One in the bed and one on the floor, but they were the only 2 we saw check in day. Overall, I would stay again. The host was super friendly and accommodating! Even checked on us during our stay. The room looks exactly like the pictures.

This is my second time staying at Wynwood. I loved the customer service experience. Whenever I had a problem, needed extra towels or had any questions I would receive a prompt response via email. I would also receive check-ins via phone to make sure that I had everything I needed. I love the murals and surrounding scenery. I felt safe waling to local cafes and grocery stores. I plan on booking with them again in the future.

I loved the beautiful artwork on the building. When I entered my room everything was clean. There were a couple of small issues with the shower handle coming off. But the matter was quickly addressed by the handyman. It was fixed within the hour. That was fast! The customer service was stellar! Any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed.

I was a little confused when I arrived as there was no office for me to check in, but then I realized I had an email from the property stating that there is no office, there is a code for the room and that's all you need. The room was small but it was perfect for me and my wife as we were only planning on sleeping there and exploring Miami. The bathroom curtain was a little short so water splashed out of the shower and I wish there was a window or some kind of ventilation in the bathroom. Parking was very tight as it is a small lot that can fit maybe 5 cars.

Inexpensive boutique for a quick Miami stay
Jason, David and Vien were super accommodating and attentive to ensure my stay here was clean, comfortable, and provided numerous recommendations for dining and visiting in the Wynwood area. It seems like a lot of the negative reviews are older, and maybe there was a problem in the past but my studio was clean with fresh linens, fast internet and everything I needed for my stay. For the location the price can't be beat with restaurants and the Wynwood Walls are all within a few minutes' walk. For anyone seeking an inexpensive boutique stay while visiting Miami, or need a quick short term rental between leases/travels, Krymwood should be just what you're looking for.

Great location, literally a short walk to wyndwood walls. Easy to get in and out of the studio with the coded lock. Nice cozy and clean. It was great for two people. There is an iron and hair dryer within the unit - a plus. There is also a fridge and a small electric stove that you plug in where we were able to boil some pasta. Hosts were great and was in constant communication asking how we’re doing and giving recommendations as well. Overall nice stay

I went and spent money to get another room. When I complained to the establishment, they told me toiletries were not provided. Not even toilet paper? They did not refund me and just blew it off like they were used to it.

First tbe AC was not working and it was very hot and they took a long time to fix it. Also, after they told me that they would extend my stay at my request, they told me last minute that the room was not available for extension. The staff contradicted each other about whether my reservation could be extended and they gave me conflicting information which resulted in me having to leave the hotel prematurely to find another place to stay. The rooms are old looking and need remodeling and updating of the floors, windows and painting of the inside of the rooms

STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK ABOUT MY REFUND! The room I booked was not the one given. Room code was given the morning of, after I contacted them for it. The shower had mold on the folder, wallpaper was peeling behind the bed, the bathroom door had been punched in and to top it off the wifi was out. I had make other arrangements after night one and I only stayed because it was so late when I got back from my activities that day, after I wad denied early checkin.

I liked that you go straight to your room without any check-in, they send you the door lock # and you let yourself in. The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable and has a nice kitchen. I was at walking distance to a nice bakery for breakfast, and to many hang outs at night. I kept mostly to myself but I saw other guest talking to each other at nights on some chairs available in the lower floors if you are into socializing. The staff was very helpful. I would definetly stay here again.

First night I couldn’t get in and slept in my car. Their 24/7 service via email was fake because I sent them 7 emails and no responded until 9am the next morning. Second night someone walked into my room when I was sleeping with no clothes on. Had to be the scariest moment of my life. Third morning the manager was banging on my door super early like he was the police just to tell me he had no one registered to the room I paid money for. That same day I saw an a bug on the bed and a roach in the shower. So I checked out 3 days early and requested a refund in which the manager argued with me on the phone about how he doesn’t understand why I felt unsafe in my unit. Claimed I stayed a couple days more after he banged on my door, when in reality it was that exact same day. He was extremely rude and tried justifying everything I went through like I was complaining about things normal people would complain about. I had to request my money back through my bank because he refused to help me with kind customer service. I would NEVER book here again and wouldn’t recommend staying at a place that has roach spray for your convenience at the bottom of the sink. I don’t care how close it was to wynwood. It was TRASH!
