The hotel is well located. Close to the Metro Mover, restaurants, Whole Foods, sights. It was also safe. It was clean.

Sometimes the elevator took forever, so I used the stairs. The carpet was frayed; tv channels were limited; room was well cleaned but staff did leave coffee Keurigs; I had to ask for more Keurigs; I would have liked a mini fridge; the phone in the room did not work, I asked for someone to look at it, but no one came to fix it.

Price was reasonable for that area.

Pros: luggage storage at no extra cost for people that arrive prior to check in time, location, if you stand in your room (window is fairly high) you have a decent view of the ocean and the cruise ships coming and going.

Cons: room was small and the bathroom was so so so small you couldn’t move. Upon checkin the bathtub was dirty, the drain plug was broken and the surround had hair that was definitely not ours. Air conditioning was crazy loud. We booked the 10:00 shuttle to the cruise port for the following day and nothing was mentioned about lack of elevators or difficulty getting one. Then got a text the next morning shorty before 10 saying elevators can be busy and to allow yourself some extra time. We waited on the 9th floor for 15 minutes and spoke to other people that had been waiting for 45 minutes. We finally opted to take the stairs with all of our luggage so we wouldn’t miss the shuttle. The stairs are old concrete and scuffed up all of our new luggage. When we got to the bottom we got shuffled outside to the heat to catch the shuttle and then waited 35-40 minutes in the heat for the shuttle to arrive. Customers were angry with all the chaos and staff were angry and snappy as well. Simple questions were answered with snappy rude responses.

Unless you get a super good price for this hotel and are prepared to take the stairs during your stay in the peak hours, I do not recommend booking this hotel.

This hotel looks significantly cleaner and well appointed than reality.

The first room was gross. The floors clearly had not been cleaned, the headboard was peeling, the shower was molding, and the door didn’t deadbolt. I called and texted staff multiple times with no response. Eventually I was able to move rooms and it was minimally improved. The new room was cleaner, but with a weird stain on the mattress protector, dingy bathroom, no chair, floor stains, and more. Had it not been late, I would have left.

The staff is neither rude nor friendly. More apparently without care for customer service. The whole property desperately needs a facelift.

On the upside, if you appreciate the ability to sit on the toilet, brush your teeth over the sink, and turn on the shower all at once- this could be for you. The toilet paper roll is behind you as a result of the very, very small space.

If I had booked multiple nights, I’d cancel. The other parties in my group reported the same conditions- except they had to go on hunts for toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap- all which had dispensers in the bathroom.

Loud and grimy, this was a motel experience. I will not be staying again. Even my ride share was like “yeah, you’re not the first to say that.”

Upon arrival, there were two ladies at the front desk, the shorter one wasn’t friendly at all, she was very cold and standoff-ish. The hotel is very old and rundown. Glad we only needed to stay for a night. Definitely not worth the price. Now to the room, the AC works that’s for sure but it SO OBNOXIOUSLY LOUDDD!!! We called down to the front desk and asked for extra blankets, they said they couldn’t get us any because the laundry staff was gone for the day. That’s absurd service. What hotel cannot access more blanket/towels. The room was dirty. The bathroom is smaller than my closet. One of the beds was lopsided. Just a very rundown old hotel. I wouldn’t recommend anyone here. The hotel restaurant is insanely overpriced. $18 for 6 wings, wowwww, insane!!!

Extremely disappointing experience at YVE Hotel Miami.

We were charged an unexpected US$84.75 for “early check-in” — something we never requested. We arrived a little after 1:00 PM, were simply told the room was ready, and were given access. There was absolutely no mention of any extra fee at the time. Had this been clearly communicated, we would have gladly waited until the standard 4:00 PM check-in.

Instead, the hotel is now hiding behind fine print on a registration card to justify the charge. Relying on guests to catch hidden fees in paperwork — without verbally informing them — is misleading and feels dishonest. Transparency should be the bare minimum in hospitality.

While they acknowledged it wasn’t clearly communicated, they still refused to reverse the charge. That says a lot about how little they value customer trust.

Be very careful staying here — what seems like a simple check-in could come with hidden costs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful; however, the facilities leave much to be desired. The rooms lacked basic amenities such as shower gel, and the overall decor felt outdated and in need of an upgrade. Additionally, there are only two elevators, and during our stay, one was out of service. This led to long wait times, with queues forming just to reach or leave the rooms. At one point, guests had to walk up the stairs—my family and I, for example, had to climb nine flights to reach our room.

What a joke. A tight room for 4 (2 queen beds) was small and not even furnished with enough towels for 4, let alone a single hand towel! I didn’t expect a giant room and my children and I are small and thin, but even to us it was very tight.

BEWARE, by booking through a third-party website, the YVE charges you an EXTRA $28.25 “amenity fee” after you have completed your stay. They DO NOT tell you this unless you call to inquire about the charge on your card. That fee covers the 2 “complimentary” bottles of water. It surely didn’t cover clean sheets (we found stains on the sheets at the foot of the bed AFTER the night’s sleep).

The elevator was broken—we were on the 6th floor hauling luggage up by myself with 3 children. The on-site restaurant for breakfast was $32 per person for the very simple buffet (cereal, fruit, bacon, some eggs and coffee/tea).

We will not be back. Yes, it is close to Miami’s metro rail and a short Uber/Taxi to the cruise port, but not worth the price.

If you have a lot of luggage this isn’t your stay. The elevators can’t keep up with the amount of floors/rooms in this hotel.
The people who work here were wonderful though. It was clean but our room was very tiny. The Concierge was great with booking rides to Miami Port and Miami Airport.

The hotel did not honor my reservation even though I called from Miami International Airport to confirm before booking transportation to the hotel. They sent me to another hotel which I had to pay my own way for, and did not address the prepaid transportation from their hotel to the cruise port. Their lack of professionalism cost me money and time, and I'm angry about it. I would never recommend YVE Hotel to anyone, ever. In fact, I'd steer them away in very strong terms.

* They couldn't locate my reservation for two hours.
* When I requested early check-in, they charged an extra $30. However, upon check-out, I was charged $50, which felt fraudulent.
* My bed only had a blanket; there were no bed sheets. I slept on the mattress cover instead.

Room was not very clean trash left from previous guest. looked like feces was on the bathroom door frame. talked to manager abot it and was offered to switch our room but it was very late when we arrived and we had alreaded unpacked and our little one was already asleep. so we just stayed in the room we were leaving for our cruise at 10am the nest morning.

Stayed here and would not recommend. The hotel is very run down, the air in our room was broke, mattress was extremely warped and there were German cockroaches in the room. Not to mention that the room was not clean when we checked in. Very disappointing since the pictures looked like this was a decent place. Would not recommend this.

Honestly I wanted to like this property but we had several big issues:
1. The room was not updated like the pictures online suggested. That was the whole reason we booked here and paid $3k roughly for it.
2. Our bed was broken when we got in (we slept one night on it and realized it right away and pushed the mattress up to see and saw the broken joists under it to confirm) and we asked the desk 3 times to come check on it the next day and they never did.
3. The bathroom was very rough with toilet making strange sounds and no hot water on the 3rd day in the shower
4. Elevators were TINY and getting in and out was hard with as many people as they were accommodating at this busy time.
5. We had 4 people in a room and when we checked in we only got 1 card - we asked for 2 minimum and they said no? We ideally needed 3 or 4 cards as we all split up and did our own things over the weekend. We had to keep asking for more cards all weekend long. It was very strange.

Only good thing was its proximity to BayFront for ultra and the bar downstairs.

I want to start by saying the staff was excellent, helpful, respectful, and very resourceful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel itself did not meet expectations. The property feels outdated and poorly maintained, and cleanliness was an issue. The rooms were extremely small to the point where you can use the restroom and wash your hands at the same time. I've honestly had more space in a cruise cabin than in this room, which cost close to $400 dollars for one night.
Based on reviews and even my Uber driver's recommendation, I expected YVE to be one of the better hotels in Miami. Sadly, that was not my experience. The hotel is in serious need of renovations and updates as soon as possible.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. My wife and I were there for ultra music festival. The second we walked in the room. It smelled disgusting we tried to complain, but it was useless. There were no other rooms available. Comparable we also were charged $500 smoking fee neither me or my wife smoke and I’m still trying to figure out the details of getting a refund refunded for this.

We spent one night before catching a cruise. Public spaces were clean. Our room was ok. There was some paper garbage on the floor in a corner of the room. The shower handle was broken and fell off. Rooms are small. They send a warning that the elevators are small and busy in the morning. Leave a half hour before the time you depart to ensure you can your bags down. They do have a secure space to leave bags if you bring them down early. There is shuttle you have to pay for to get you to port. The hotel is walking distance to Pier Five.It’s fine for a night.

This is a low budget hotel that looks nice in the outside hut for sure NOT worth the money. Although it was a one night stay for the port, it was the most uncomfortable “dorm” room I’ve ever slept in. Pillows are horrible and they don’t give you more if you request. Every time the toilet flushes the water was so loud. It sounded like it was flooding the room and the water wasn’t being flushed by our toilet. It was another horrible hotel.

This hotel was a huge mistake. Stayed with our family of 4, and from the moment we arrived, the vibes were just off. My daughter and I accidentally left our jackets in their main floor washroom, and when we realized and came back to check, they were gone. We spoke to front desk and they were completely disinterested, made absolutely no effort to try and help or check anywhere and gave off the vibes that they could care less. We stayed for 4 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned once - by day 3 we asked about this and were told that the rooms are only cleaned by request - yet this had never been mentioned to us! The rooms are very basic, awful lighting and not well maintained at all (dirty carpets, showers that have broken faucets). Would never ever stay here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone

We had to change our room right when we got there because the carpet was wet and the tile floor to the bathroom was slippery. The room that we went to next: 1) bed was broken (it was too late to go back downstairs to change rooms all over again), 2) there was very QUESTIONABLE hair on top of one bed and 3) there was a panty liner sticker stuck to the top of one shelf in the bathroom. Since we came back late - it was just too much hassle to pack up everything and go downstairs to talk to front desk again. I reserved two rooms for the night - other one was okay except for the water pressure and it being too hard to adjust the water temperature. When I went to check out and told the front desk what was going on in our room - they just shrugged and said “oh okay.” - no sorry. I would NOT recommend this hotel even though it’s close to everything.

The bathroom soap was empty and they do not have a hair dryer. Also there were extra charges and fees on our card that had to be reconciled.

The Good: Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Great location, especially if you are just staying the night prior to going on a cruise.
The not so good: Our room wasn't the cleanest room I've ever seen...it wasn't enough to call someone, but could have just used another vacuuming maybe. Waiting for the elevator on check out day was AWFUL. We waited 15 minutes...couldn't have taken the stairs due to how large/heavy our luggage was. Seemed like a one-off situation though, so giving that a pass.

The location was great. The VIP shuttle from the hotel to the port was fantastic. The room sucked. Two towels, one hook, no counter space in the bathroom. Shower drain didn’t drain. The water pressure was terrible. Waiting for the elevators was terrible. The curtain didn’t open. The furniture was dirty. They initially didn’t give me the correct room and tried to blame Expedia. All this for $300 for one night. But again the location was fantastic.

I would consider this an economy hotel. The location is excellent very close to Bayside and Kayesa Arena. The rooms are small not much room around the king bed. No chair just a foot stool to sit on. The bathroom is tiny and the fixtures are old. The a/c unit was noisy. The bed was comfy and the unit was very clean. No on-site parking but a good valet service. For $200 a night it’s good value for doentown Miami. Overall I would rate it 3 stars.

Expedia sucks! This hotel was inhabitable and we did not stay here! The place was filthy and the room was horrifying, with feces, hair, blood, and mold throughout the room. The shower did not work and the faucet fell off. Blood on the sheets and on the floor. Looked like a crime scene. Could not get a staff member on the phone and had to track down an employee who refused to look at the room. She removed our reservation because the room was completely filthy. We want a refund immediately. We had to find another hotel to stay at for the evening! Shame on Expedia!

Small, cramped, elevator is a disaster. The beds do not have comforters. Only two sheets and a thin blanket in between them. 2 elevators that are extremely slow. When leaving, we waited 15 minutes at the elevator, it only opened twice in that time, and was packed completely full both times. My dad with a broken wrist and I had to lug our suicases down 6 flights of stairs to leave. The valet is right in the busy road so you have to park half way in the street in the traffic to give them your keys. When we arrived, the valet wouldn't come over to the car. My dad got out of the car and walked up to the valet to ask him to come over for our car, and he ignored him. I had to fully turn the car off in the middle of the road and walk over to the valet with the keys before he would even acknowledge that we were there. There were no other customers waiting or interacting with him at this point. The only good part of this hotel experience was the closeness to the Kaseya center for the event we were attending. I would not recommend staying here unless it is a complete last resort. The price in no way reflects the experience of staying here.

Great Location . Directly across Bayside . Friendly staff, clean room. Modern design. Loved it. Only drawback is only 2 elevators so plan ahead during rush hours .

Small rooms but they are adequate. The shower took nearly 5 minutes to warm up. The elevator is incredibly slow.
