The room was sparse. Furniture a little worn and on the cheap side. Bathroom needs updating. No extra blanket, no robe, no shower cap or mouthwash, mini bar was a chocolate bar and my room was missing it. For $858 a night an extra towel or shower cap would have been nice. No room service in the hotel and the restaurant only had a small cold buffet for breakfast the next morning. Very disappointing.

Quite a mediocre stay for the fees and the price. The room was booked for two adults but there was only one robe provided. The fees and description mentioned that hotel travel fee includes a glass of wine/champagne but non was offered at the arrival. I wish I have stayed at the 5 star Marriott. I would be cheaper and I always feel welcome there. I will not be going back to Hotel AKA. I liked it for the SPA before and decided to come back and stay at the hotel but I was disappointed. Again, because I paid a 5 star fee + rate for the 4- room and 2star level of service.

One of the boxed waters in my rom was drank from and left with the other so it appeared unused, counters in bathroom were relatively dirty, and there was vomit in an elevator one evening. I do appreciate the room upgrade though!

We booked this hotel for a weekend of rest. On Saturday at 8:40 a.m., loud construction noise started and made it impossible to sleep. By 10:40 a.m., since no one answered the room intercom or hotel phone, we had to get dressed and go to the front desk. Nothing was resolved.

The staff acknowledged the issue and offered to refund the travel fee, but we made it clear that this did not compensate for losing the rest we had planned. We were granted a late checkout on Sunday, and there was no noise on Sunday, which we appreciated.

However, the manager never followed up and never offered an apology. While the front desk staff was polite, politeness without resolving the main problem is not helpful.

I regret choosing AKA Hotel and would not stay here again.

The service from the staff, especially at the front desk, was not very friendly. The pool is located in the building across the street and appears to be quite neglected. There was no service at all—no food or beverage service available. Considering the price of the hotel, the overall experience does not match the level of service offered.

The room was small. Too much furniture crammed into it. The furniture was visibly stained and the room/carpet was dirty. It was like a maze to get to ourcroom. Had to ride 2 elevators to get to room. No ice machine available and the refrigerator was warm. Called the front desk many times with no answer. Not worth the money at all.

The toilet paper was woefully subpar. I know it's a hotel and I'm not asking for a roll of Charmin in every bathroom, but I've been to gas stations with better toilet paper than what was provided.

The room was also stuffy and since the AC was locked I couldn't cool it down to the temperature I needed to be comfortable which I find surprising in a location such as Miami.

Additionally, the upholstery of the couches in the Lobby (25th floor) were extremely scuffed and stained which made them seem shabby given the overall hotel persona.

The room was neglected on the first day only, but after that, it was perfect. Our problem was the number of deposits they were charging almost every day, a new charge. They took deposits in the amount of $501 upon arrival. Following this, there were several charges, and then they would return the amount they charged. We spoke with the front desk/Lobby, but they mainly seemed incompetent. Several guests were disputing the same matters. A couple of days after departing the hotel, I saw that they charged me an additional $267. I immediately called my bank to dispute these charges.

The whole property feels spa-like with a clean, modern asthetic. Our King suite had panaromic views, was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the spacious bathroom, with tub and lovely toiletries. The property is surrounded by great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Excellent location, walking distance to all the attractions and a bike ride away from the beaches and a light house.

Did not feel like a hotel at all - more like a condo with some very basic (and far not the best) level of service. Rather lack of it. May be by design. This was not a problem as long as you are prepared for it and don't need it.

Top notch property. Superb location. Just not a hotel.

This hotel was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly and always there for anything you need. My only complaint is that the valet fee at $50 was a bit steep, compared to other hotels nearby.

Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the heart of Brickell.

The facilities are good and the property itself is well maintained, but the overall experience is seriously compromised by the lack of service.

There is essentially no hospitality. Not even a simple “good morning” from the front desk. Calling the reception often goes unanswered, and if you need help with luggage, be prepared to wait for hours.

The hotel feels more like a residential building than a place focused on guests. If you value service, attention, and basic courtesy, this is not the right choice. The infrastructure alone is not enough to compensate for the absence of hospitality.

No balcony in room. Room was advertised as being at Brickell city center but it was about .6 miles away. The elevator process was weird. You go from G to 25th floor. Go around the corner to another set of elevators the. Take those down to floors 16-24. Customer service wasn’t good at the restaurant or for the check in and out process. The overall layout of the hotel was odd. The pool was across the street. You would take the elevator from your floor to the 25th floor. Go to another bank of elevators around the corner, take that to G level. Walk through the guest drop off/taxi:uber area then take another elevator up to floor 14 to the pool.

This is dealing with the staff. Warning you must be over 21 years old to check in. It’s not clearly started so hopefully you won’t be robbed like I was. If you are Under 21 and you book this hotel will NOT refund you but they will IGNORE you until they want you to review the property 💀

This was my 3rd time staying at AKA, and usually we have no complaints. However; this visit wasn’t the best compared to our previous. I asked the front desk if the previous room we had stayed in available, but it wasn’t and she offered us a different room which she said was the same as the previous just on a different floor, however it wasn’t. It actually was nothing like the previous room. Then there was a smell in the room like previously there had been a dog in the room. Not sure how often the carpet is cleaned, but there was a hint of dog & urine smell. Very disappointing.

This is not a high end hotel by any means. Ugly 80s bathroom, tired building, inconvenient elevator switching to get to room, amenities are lower tier.

This showed up as a 5 start hotel on Hotels.com but it’s more like a 3 star hotel.

The water was lukewarm and wouldn’t get hot.

The staff was genuinely helpful, and I really appreciated the cleanliness of the bay view room I stayed in. I absolutely loved the view and enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning. The room service and restaurant staff are very attentive and respectful, making sure guests feel cared for. Even during a busy company event, they managed to accommodate us wonderfully. I do think the menu could be improved a bit, but overall, it was a lovely experience.
