Beautiful, clean, authentic Greek (Santorini) accommodations. Close walking distance to all main areas of Oia.
Room was very big, with separate room, however beds were very uncomfortable (zero cushion). Cannot brink your own drink/beer (can) to the pool, only if you purchase from resort. Resort staff watched every move very closely.

The hotel is located in an area close to everything. It is nice and in good condition and clean. The breakfast is good with healthy food and the main thing to start the day is fruit, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, pastries, juices, and coffee. Our room was for three people. My husband, my son, and I were traveling to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was cozy. We had a terrace with a view of part of the ocean. The only detail I didn't like was that there was no hair conditioner and the shower needs to be cleaned more thoroughly. The rest of the room was very comfortable. As an Expidia VIP member, I received my wine and a 20% discount on drinks. At the reception, Angela was very helpful with information and was very friendly. I would gladly stay with you again if I had the opportunity.

The hotel is really Nice,I got a big room decorated very traditional and I have a balcony and Ihave access to the terrace so I recommend it because you can have a beautiful sunset from your hotel and is very convenient for to go to eat or shopping or take a bus ,the breakfast it’s ok ,not to much variety but the seasoned is good ,also you can have some Greek Plates from the restaurant and are really good,,if you like coffee like me you should bring your own coffee because they just give you to little coffee sachets and if you want more they will charge you for that ,Other than that is a really nice hotel ,

The manager Jean and his wife and chef George were all very accommodating
Jean arranged a taxi transfer for us and a member of his team carried our cases to the hotel
The complimentary breakfast was plentiful with a good selection
We were given a small bottle of wine on arrival
Our room on the ground floor was perfect located for outdoor dining and the pool area
The location is perfect for a stay in Oia
Near to all restaurants and the Blue domed churches and excellent views of the caldera

Property is located in the heart of Oia, steps from the main walk with all the shops and restaurants. Grounds were spacious and beautiful, and built in the typical Greek style. Room was immense, actually a one bedroom apartment with separate bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. And the large outdoor swimming pool was great in the summer heat. The only negatives were a tiny bathroom, and being located right next to a restaurant that has a singer singing until 11:30 on Thursday nights, which kept us awake. Otherwise, this was a perfect property.

A large, clean room with beautiful views

The room was very clean and large with air conditioning that was helpful for sleep during the evening. While I am used to sleeping on a larger bed I was able to get a good nights sleep each night we stayed here. The property has amazing views of the island, and we especially enjoyed the sunset views from the rooftop. I would 100% stay here again. The only caution I would give is that the ac was not very strong so while it was fine for us during our short stay as it was not very hot either day I am not sure how it would do on a much hotter day. The staff was incredibly helpful and informative - they gave us restaurant recommendations and helped us book a ride to the port on our last day. Overall highly recommend!

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were good. The whole place (rooms and common areas ) were all very very clean. And the location is perfect. But, Our room was just too small. The bathroom door hit the toilet. The shower was so small I felt like I was showering inside a sleeping bag. The bedroom was barely bigger than the bed, stubbed my toes many times. TV was tiny, tiny. We thought we purchased a full size room , but got the tiny tiny room.

Great location in Oia! You are steps away from the main walk ways of Oia and the gorgeous sunset. The only thing I would say is that our shower had an issue with water overflowing on the bathroom floors.

My wife and I spent three nights at the Aethrio Sunset Hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was very convenient, right in the center of Oia. The hotel has a very nice free breakfast. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was a nice amenity after a hot day of sightseeing. You can’t go wrong here. I highly recommend.

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Aethrio Sunset Village. The property is very charming and we loved our quirky apartment as well. It was a quiet oasis in the heart of Oia. It was nice to have a pool and a lot of patio space to retreat from the crowds at times. There was also outdoor seating for breakfast. It is located close to the bus stop with easy signage to find your way and very convenient to the top sights in beautiful Oia. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The only thing that we would have liked improved was that our mattress was too firm for our liking.

This is an amazing hotel to stay at in Santorini! Big shoutout to the lovely Foni and George who are super helpful and work hard to make your experience lovely.

It's located in the heart of Oia and the hotel is like a peaceful oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets!

I loved the room we were in, a studio for 4 people, the views were amazing and the room was clean and spacious.

The breakfast is so delicious-the daily fresh pastries, juice, eggs and fresh bread were lovely.

Restaurants are plenty nearby and the iconic blue domes are only a 2-3 minute walk from one of the entrances.

The pool is clean and very deep (2.6m at the deep side).

I would suggest booking a transfer with the hotel (45 euros) as the porter helps with your bags and if it's your first time visiting Santorini you might not know which streets to go down.

The biggest/most amazing factor of all is the sunset terrace! We stayed for the evenings to watch the gorgeous sunset fall over the town of Oia, there is also a dome (or 2) in the backdrop of the terrace view so you can have a mini photoshoot!

Overall 10/10 experience! Thank you guys for making my birthday trip so memorable!!

Hotel Aethrio is the perfect hotel in Santorini. Great rooms, friendly staff and an ideal location that is close to the island’s best views, attractions and restaurants. Based in the heart of Oia, it is just a 5 minute walk to the famous blue dome viewing point and is surrounded by independent eateries and local retailers.

The staff are extremely helpful and provide recommendations, local knowledge and assistance. This includes allowing you to use the facilities before and after you check-in to aid with flight times.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a private kitchen. Plus, there is a great pool, daily breakfast and two balconies that provide beautiful sunset views so you don’t need to compete with the crowds at local beauty spots.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Santorini.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week here. The hotel complex is idyllic, all freshly whitewashed, spotless and charming. The pool was a real bonus too. It sits right in the centre of Oia on top of all the lovely restaurants and shops. We stayed in a triple apartment. The beds were very comfortable but ours was only a double and pushed up to the wall. This could not be helped due to the small size of the upstairs bedroom, and still very charming, but something to bear in mind. The breakfasts were very good and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want to stay in Oia, this hotel can not be beaten and I would highly recommend it.

Although the property does not overlook the caldera, it is very centrally located. It is just off the main stretch and all the action but as soon as you step into the property, it is very quiet and homey. Staff are all very friendly. Aethrio was wonderful! Our room was apartment style, just near the pool. It was so clean and comfortable. There are 3 exits from the hotel which proved useful based on where we were walking to- one of them leads right onto the main area which was very convenient. The pool was lovely, though a bit deep in the shallow end. The views were stunning and the whole place was clean. I very highly recommend!

The hotel was very responsive and helpful in that they organized airport pickup/dropoff, recommended great tours, and we were able to still use the facility even after check out while we waited for our flight. If your looking to stay in Santorini on a budget but also wanting to be in the thick of it with a pool this hotel couldn’t be anymore perfect. All the famous Santorini sights are minutes away walking distance from the hotel, the hotel grounds are very cute and well kept and it has a lovely pool area which is unusual for a hotel in central Oia. The hotel is also surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants. John on reception was an absolute gem, super helpful, gave us lots of recommendations and couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms are a little out dated in decor however it had a very Greek feel to it which was nice and the room and bathroom we had was huge. The hotel organised our transport from the hotel and they were there waiting for us on arrival even though our flight was slightly delayed. Highly recommend this hotel, I would definitely stay there again.

The property is very pretty and clean. Most importantly it is absolutely centrally located. You just step out and you are in the middle of Oia. The main tourist area is your backyard. What a wonderful stay. We book 2 rooms for our 3 night stay. Location, staff, and service was perfect. Views from our rooms and private balconies were spectacular and rooms were spacious. Well manicured, very clean, and good location, but a couple downsides- the cleaning staff entered our room even when the do-not-disturb sign was on the door; and when we paid for a late night transfer, the driver took someone to the other side of the island before taking us to the hotel, taking a lot of extra time and made us feel unsafe. The staff didn't believe that this happened, and wouldn't take a discount off of the steep fee.

This is one of the more affordable villa properties in the Oia area but it’s still a gorgeous stay, with very photogenic rooms and grounds throughout the village. It has its own roof terrace for viewing of the sunset, which is very convenient and helps you avoid competing with thousands of other people for a picture. The staff are very personable and helpful. The breakfast is great. It’s very close to the main attractions in the area, and to the main transportation drop off and the dining and shopping areas that you’ll want to hit.

The staff was very pleasant. Cleanliness is spotless. The area is excellent right in the center of Oia. No need to book outside for subset view as it has open balcony upstairs for everybody to hang out and watch for sunrise and sunset. Breakfast is delicious. They will book taxi back and forth to the airport of your choice. Definitely going back here. Highly recommended.

Perfect location, just a beautiful boutique hotel! It just screams “Greece” and we loved our stay! The front desk has amazing customer service from the emails as soon as we booked to offering to arrange transfer or a rental car (get the rental car!!) to personally showing us to our room after giving us a welcome drink (the white wine is excellent here). They have a beautiful pool and rooftop terrace and I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!!!

I didn’t want to leave….loved our sweet little room with the pretty blue door. Was so nice to wander to the shops just beyond the gate and very close/convenient to the us station. We had fun finding new routes back to our room. Having breakfast ready right out your door so you could start your day fueled was fantastic. Food was fine, not spectacular but nothing at all to complain about. The staff was phenomenal as was everyone we did business with on the island from the restaurant staff to the bus drivers. This is the only Greek Island I’ve been to and I know I should see others but I would go back to Santorini in a heart beat

A very cute property with a great location. Unfortunately, there were two main things that led to the experience. First, and so simple, the towels are terrible. They smell like mildew/mold. It was so bad both of us used our own shirts to dry after realizing the towels were leaving a moldy scent. Next, there isn’t really great service in Santorini and there was no WiFi in the room.

The breakfast the next morning had a good amount of Greek options and some traditional as well.

Overall, this isn’t a luxury property so we had probably too high of expectations, but the towels were just unacceptable and something so easy to fix.

Very quaint .... typical Mamma Mia window shutter features and steps to rooftop balcony.
They stayed open over their usual reception time by 25 minutes to check us in at just before 9pm (reception shuts at 8.30pm)
Breakfast food very, very good indeed and lovely friendly lady working hard to constantly replenish foods. She gave us a big hug and kiss today as we left! 🤗👍
Very relaxed atmosphere and they chased up transfers for us by phone on our behalf.

Amazingly beautiful hotel in the heart of Santorini's island - Oia village. Super clean, big rooms with small kitchen. Breakfast offers great variety of food - scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, olives, sweets, fruits - plenty to choose from. Rooftop terrace - amazing view on the sea and sunset. Pool is nice and clean, with the view as well.

We did not expect this quality and very pleasantly surprised. Will recommend to anyone.
Service was great too - we were met at the airport and brought straight to the hotel for extra fee (reasonable).

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aethrio for 4 nights. It is situated beautiful in Oia. All the great restaurants, shops, and sites were just steps away, but the hotel itself was quiet and tranquil. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of local white wine, information, and wonderful conversation by Costas. Another plus, the hotel has their own sunset terrace to catch the site every evening without joining the long line of people heading up to the public viewing area. Throughout our stay, the staff made us feel like we were home! We received lots of hugs and goodbyes on our last day. If we were to return to Oia, we would definitely stays with our new friends at Aethrio.

The hotel was just in the first day of the season, so some of the things were not ready as expected, in special cleanliness. The location is great, in central Oia, 1 minute walking from everywhere.

The only thing that can be improved is breakfast

Great location and nice people

Front desk personal were very nice and friendly. The location of this hotel is great! We loved our room and their breakfast. You can watch sunset in the property, they have a rooftop for guests to watch the sunset.

the staff was so friendly and went beyond and above to check me in earlier than the listed time, plus giving me free breakfast that morning! i stayed there only one night but everything at the hotel was excellent, highly recommend to everyone!

This hotel is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Just steps away from the main street in Oia but far enough away that you do not hear the crowds from the hotel. The staff was helpful in arranging a boat tour for us and a transfer to the airport. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and had plenty to choose from. This hotel is far more reasonable than other properties in Oia. I would definitely recommend the Aethrio Hotel. Thanks for your great service!

Cosy, traditional and great location

Aethrio is a traditional, modern hotel in the heart of Oia. Staff are extremely friendly. The hotel has a lovely spacious pool & delicious breakfast buffet.
Would definety be back.

Guaranteed A Good Time in Oia

Hotel located near the bus stop of Oia village. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable - I almost didn’t want to leave! The only mishap that I encountered was the lack of hot water for two nights. However, the staff was very kind and tried to help me to the best of their abilities.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else !

We arrived at night and couldn't see Santorini until we opened our front door in the morning. WOW ! The Aethrio is in a great central location for seeing Oia. The view from the sunset terrace is amazing. Highly recommended.
