Beautiful place!
Thank you Tina and Sara for being so friendly, helpful and attentive to all my inquiries and needs.
And the staff was always on point in helping with luggage and room service.
And I can not mention enough how beautiful this Island is. What they say online that they offer is exactly what you get once there.
Thanks again,Ducato Di Oia!

The staff at this hotel were excellent. Reception and hotel staff couldn’t have been better. However, we had changed rooms after our first night. The whirlpool had a strong chlorine smell and they were able to give us a different room the next day. The pools were very clean in both rooms. Overall, second room seemed to need some updating. Our toilet leaked and the towel ring came right off the wall. We mentioned those issues to the staff and they appreciated it and said they will take care of it. Very unique hotel on a very beautiful island. Fantastic views of the caldera.

This property is nestled in a cliff so there are lots of stairs to navigate that are carved into the rock surface. While that can be exhausting, the views are to die for.
Room had an indoor pool & the water was refreshingly warm.
The rooms carry the theme of 'caves', so expect a degree quaintness which is quite charming.

Staff were exceptional!

My room was a cave, but it did need some work to freshen it up. All the drains were very rusty, my hot tub had a fair amount of dirt in it, and my bath mat had a stain when I arrived. The room was a tad warm, but the unit that was for heat/air had a broken power button and nothing appeared on the screen, so I couldn’t control the temperature. I’d have hoped, for a property that said luxury, that it wouldn’t have had these things that needed freshening.

An explanation about needing to press a button to get hot water for the shower would also have been helpful!

Ducato Di Oia was an excellent stay, even in the off season of November. The receptionist Nadja was incredibly kind and stayed to welcome us from our late flight and made us dinner reservations when requested. Its central location in Oia made walking to shops and restaurants ideal.

The porters very friendly and hard-working. Additionally, the hotel staff are available on WhatsApp 24/7 and were so helpful answering questions, sorting rentals for us - pretty much like a personal tour guide.

We really like this property. It’s beautiful on the outside. It’s not for everybody because it is in a cave very dark not so comfortable on your feet in the shower bath room due to the fact it’s stones. Getting to the room again is not for everybody unless you are able to go up and downstairs walk on uneven surfaces and 116 steps I would say it’s a great property. Fortunately, my husband and I were able to do both the people they are very nice and the food was good. The guys who carried our luggage to our room and from our room were amazing

The service was A1, very friendly. They contacted us via WhatsApp the day before our arrival flight to let us know if we had any needs, and they helped us with transportation, sending a taxi to the airport. We were greeted by a man who helped us with our luggage (which was very helpful because carrying suitcases to the room is terrible). On the first day, they gave us a complimentary wine, and breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. The day we left, checkout was at 11:00 a.m., but our taxi was scheduled to pick us up at 12:00 p.m. They allowed us to stay an extra hour without any problems. 100% recommended. We stayed in a room with a view of the caldera and pool. Truly luxurious.

I enjoyed staying here. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The room we booked had an ocean & partial caldera view with a plunge pool. The downside to it was that it wasn’t that private - there was a room next to ours where the guests had to walk through our balcony/pool to get to it. So don’t expect any privacy. The rooms are also very dark, not many lights in there and the bathroom looks very cave like & dark. The air conditioner also wasn’t very good and barely worked so in early June, our room was blistering hot at all times even with the air con running. The breakfast was delicious and served right to your balcony. Having the porter carry our luggage up and down the stairs was a great help. There were also stray cats & kittens living in the sewer next to the room.

The view of the Caldera is spectacular and breathtaking. The only negative is that it’s at the bottom of a steep decline and you must walk countless irregular stairs up to get to the town. There are no elevators, only steep stairs. That said, a hot tub outside your room afford you views of the cliffs surrounding the Calera and the ships sailing in and out of port. The room is a cave built into the cliff and is quite large. Despite the steps, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Oia. The restaurant was closed when we were here in April 2024. to make up for this, the hotel sent breakfast directly to the room each morning, which was phenomenal, consisting of an omelette, or a Greek style, scrambled egg, Greek pastries, yogurt, and fruit salad.
