We stayed at Marcos Rooms for one night while revisiting Santorini, 10 years after spending our honeymoon on the island.
We arrived before the check-in time and were welcomed by the lady who we believe is the owner. She was very kind and allowed us to leave our luggage and come back later. When we returned, our room was clean and ready.
The room was not modern, but it was comfortable. The bathroom, which seemed to have been recently renovated, was excellent, with a great shower. There was air conditioning, but the room was also very well ventilated if we opened the windows.
The location is very central, although we had a little difficulty finding the property at first. Once we knew where it was, getting around was very easy.
The owner also mentioned that you can watch Santorini's famous sunset from her terrace, but we already had a reservation at a restaurant for sunset.
The breakfast was simple, homemade, and more than enough to start the day. Overall, we felt that Marcos Rooms offers great value for money. It perfectly suited our purpose of revisiting Santorini and bringing back wonderful memories from such a special place.

The property location is excellent. Right in the centre of Oia and walking distance for the perfect sunset view of Oia windmills. The host is super friendly. Our flight landed in the morning and they accommodated an early check-in free of cost. It's a family-run business, so you get the feeling of being in a homestay, not a commercial hotel. And they are very flexible with breakfast timings. The only con would be that the A/C doesn't go below a set temperature, so the rooms will be hot if you are visiting in the peak summer.
Susan
Very charming, perfect location, very kind proprietors. I would absolutely recommend it.
WOLHAN
Great property, close to everything a visitor needs, eateries, walks, shops (souvenirs, wine shop, massage, etc). Superb view to the west and unobstructed sunset view from the terrace.
Above all, Marcos is a friendly and caring host.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The owner lady, Argyrou, was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. She went above and beyond by offering free refreshments and insisted on serving a delicious complimentary breakfast every morning, which was a lovely touch.
The location of the hotel is fantastic—it's conveniently close to both the bus and taxi stops, making transportation easy. Plus, it’s just a short distance from a beautiful sunset viewing point, which made my evenings even more special.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a welcoming and well-located spot to stay.

Authentic property on a Quiet side lane away from the main tourist flow, yet close to everything. Friendly hosts were kind to accommodate our late arrival and arranged a transfer from the airport, found the the property easily. A simple breakfast coffee, tea cake etc was at courtesy of the generous hosts on the lower terrace with sea views. Sunset views from upper terrace.
Modern bathroom might be tight fit for a bigger person.
Great value for money.

Know better for the next visit.
The couple who own the place was very nice. The wife made breakfast for everyone every morning. Our room was not that great. The bathroom looked like it might have been a closet converted to a bathroom. It was hard to take a shower because there was no wall mount for the shower hose and no shower curtain so water sprayed all around at times. There were two small holes under each window which I didn’t notice till the second day. Not sure what they were for but we felt unsafe because anyone could look through them and see straight towards the beds so I stuffed them with paper. Outside of the windows was the terrace where any of the guests could sit. Overall we will not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend the hotel to our friends and fam.
Tiana
It was a little bit dirty and our power went out when it was raining a little bit. Super friendly staff and free breakfast! Great location!

Endroit parfait
Maria
Location was great the owner was very attentive and provided authentic continental Greek food she was away when we arrived and kindly left her info in case we had any questions. I will definitely go back and stay there in the near future
Jorge

Very disappointed with stay. Property difficult to find. Maps app had property in a parallel laneway, 2 lanes away. Despite numerous phone calls with property vontact, he was unable to explain where property was. Asked his grandfather, from property, to come abd meet me.
Hot water system imsufficient for property as no hot water for a morning shower, tepid at best.
The only flat surfaces were the fridge and bed side table.
Only able to open one wardrobe door, as bed in front of door
. Several power points were 2m up the wall
The aged parents were friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay if you’re in oía and on a budget. Very friendly family owned place! So quaint and cute.
Araceli
Location of the place is very good, not in the busy, crowded area of tourists passing by, the terrace is very good too to be witnessing the sunsets. However, we’re disappointed about the bathroom, no shower curtains installed to keep water from getting all over the floor, creating floodings. The water wasn’t warm anymore especially for showers on our second night. The hostesses were nice, baked cake and made hot chocolates for breakfast.
robert
Great stay in Oia great value
Only stayed one night to see the sunset on their terrace. The owners were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

Marcos Rooms is a great place to stay. It’s right in the middle of everything. The room is clean. Anything that we needed we were provided. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying there and would definitely stay there again.

For the price I think it’s a great place. You get what you paid for so don’t expect too much. However great location.
Kim
The owner was really nice, always made us coffee with fresh baked cake and toast in the morning, easy to communicate and very understanding with minor issues that arose during our stay. Heads up though, they do turn off the water heater late at night so if you are a late-shower type of person, its fine as long as you do it before midnight and if you shower early (before 7) just knock at the owner’s house and they will turn on the water heater. Again, very easy to communicate plus its in such a great location, walking distance to everything, not exactly on the oia cliff but 2 minute walk from the cliff. If you take the upstairs room, it gives ocean views.
Surya
Very homely. The owner lives in the premises and is always available. We were able to use the terrace to have a private dinner while watching the sunset.

I requested top floor. With balcony. Months in advance.
My boys are tall.
I was given cellar cave.
My boys are 5’11. I’m 5’4.
Our room was small. Dirty. Shower was 3 feet high. No shower door. We had to kneel to shower. Not enjoyable.

Nice Stay
We visited just two days back and really liked it. The way she treated us, the breakfast, friendly behavior, the cleaning room - everything were just awesome. It's budget hotel. But it doesn't have any pool.
