We loved Stonehaven! The property and buildings are lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room (in the annex/pavillion) was spacious and spotless, with a great view of the lake. While the decor is traditional/antiques including lots of beautiful original art, the room was practically brand new with a really nice bathroom and very comfy bed. We ate in the restaurant one night - beautifully prepared and presented food. The hot tub was nice too on a cold day (we couldn’t figure out the sauna unfortunately). And we enjoyed some of the many sitting areas and the provided board games. We will definitely return!

L’hôtel est charmant, mais il manque beaucoup d’entretien et d’attention aux détails.

Le calfeutrage dans notre douche était moisi et dégoûtant. Plusieurs allées à l’extérieur étaient très glacées et dangereuses. Des gouttières manquaient et l’eau provenant de la fonte de la glace tombait sur les gens aux entrées. Il y avait un espace avec un foyer devant le restaurant qui était complètement inaccessible. Le bois près du foyer, à côté de la piscine, n’était pas couvert et était trop mouillé pour être utilisé.

Le restaurant était joli et les assiettes étaient bien présentées, avec une très belle mise en valeur des plats, mais la nourriture était en grande partie mal cuite et mal assaisonnée. Les légumes étaient durs. Le poisson était pâteux. La caille était immangeable.

Le service était extrêmement lent entre les plats et notre serveur semblait malade ou sous l’effet de quelque chose, avec des sueurs et des frissons.

Upon arrival, we got stuck turning into the property. The snow was not cleared and my husband fought with the car.

The shower knob broke off. Neither knobs worked and no maintenance on site.2 employees were trying to fix it and 1 got soaked and used one of our towels l to dry.
They then explained HOW to use a shower! It shouldn't be that difficult.

It took a while to.figure out, it was either scalding hot or i had no water.
Theres no shower door so the bath mat was SOAKED

Hubby wanted coffee at 3am but there's no pot of fresh coffee in the lobby and he was questioned why he doesnt sleep.
He left to go find coffee and on the way back, he got stuck in the driveway again. It snowed all night, this is Qc and in the mountilains, it snows a lot. He had to leave the car stuck in the entrance and walk back to the hotel..
The staff are friendly but we are displeased with the lack of service for the price he paid for our stay and of the bathroom. I heard an employee tell another that they already had problems in that room (111)

The hot tub had no hint of chlorine in it, i dont know how clean it was.
They gave us free breakfast for all that. The breakfast was good but not worth the $400 for the one night we stayed.

Le Manoir Stonehaven est tout simplement superbe. Le grand spa extérieur est fabuleux, encore plus magique entouré de neige. Mais au-delà du décor et des installations, c’est surtout le service exceptionnel de Maxime et Caroline à la réception qui fait toute la différence et rend l’expérience réellement digne d’un Relais & Châteaux. On sent que plusieurs membres du personnel sont nouveaux et parfois un peu perdus, mais Maxime et Caroline sauvent la donne : attentionnés, efficaces, chaleureux, et toujours prêts à trouver une solution.

We had an excellent stay. When we arrived to our room we found a dog blanket and food/water bowls had been laid out for our pup! We enjoyed the lounge spaces and the space, and we loved playing games with delicious drinks from the bar. The restaurant was amazing, very creative menu and excellent wine pairing. Our dog loved the well groomed trails around the hotel. Will absolutely be back!

Missing items in plate and over cooked Benedict eggs, and error on billing … really not their day! Room very clean and sharp…. But isolation of windows is overdue and water is leaking inside… which also makes heating inadequate

This time we had a room with a terrace and enjoyed leisurely afternoons reading, having a glass of wine and being awe inspired by the fall foliage.

The room was beautiful but little details were lacking. Like, there was no useful coffee table, the tv was mounted on an extremely far wall and had no way of connecting to a streaming service, lighting in the bathroom was very dim .
The waiter at the restaurant brought us the wrong order after we waited for 40 minutes (maybe because he didn't write anything down??).
But the staff was very polite and the property was very charming.

Our 4th time visiting this property. Everything was great however the sauna had multiple issues.
- the knob was not there to control the timer (pliers were there as an alternative)
- the sauna door kept opening. Wasn’t closing

Given it’s a relais and chateaux, the standard is to have it working properly at all times and/or getting it fixed as soon as possible.

Other than that, it was great, we will come back for sure

Beautiful location, some small details to work on.

This is a luxurious and beautifully located hotel. Service and food were very good, although there are a number of small issues that could easily be corrected that get in the way of a 5 star review. In the bedroom, lights on both sides of the bed, please! In the bathroom, more towel rails or hooks - one towel rail in the shower area is totally insufficient. And at least one mirror in the bedroom, please! And re. the shower, who designed it so the taps/heat controls are at opposite ends of a large quasi wet room? And please more lighting and comfortable seating in the bar area - I know most people read from phones or tablets, but we were having to use the iPhone torch to read books and even the bar menu! Otherwise, we had a great stay! 😎

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful area. The staff is very welcoming and happy to assist in any way they can.
The downsides exist though. The property should advise when a wedding is being held so you can adjust your plans accordingly. The gardens are inacessible, the bar and outdoor patio were closed to hotel guests aside from the wedding guests and we could not access the restaurant for breakfast the day after the wedding. It was fully booked.
This hotel is set in a nature area yet there are almost zero areas to sit outside unless at the pool.
There are simply no chairs out. It was such a bizarre finding for such a large property.
If you are in the annex building as we were, there is a small wooden rocking seat to share amongst the entire building.
Such small gestures could entirely shift the feel of this beautiful location.
Lastly, the one day we could access the bar, there was no cocktail menu. Just a mocktail menu. We found this odd for such a high priced location especially is a pre-holiday time of year.
There is just a slight miss with this destination. It’s not fully thought out.
We would still recommend but small adjustments as noted above could make a significant lasting impression.

Stonehaven is a lovely place - comfort, peace, great setting. Staff is helpful and friendly, and they have a first-rate restaurant. It's a short drive to Ste. Agathe as well as Val David, Ste. Adele, and San Saveur for those who like to look around. There are lots of trails at Stonehaven as well. This was our second stay here.

Horrible restaurant with abusive pricing practices

Suberb hôtel with very poor restaurant. This level of hôtel and restaurant offered average quality food but the quantity served and the prices were abusive (twice what you would pay on similar restaurants in Europe) to say the least. We will not be back at this hôtel, strictly due to the practice of the restaurant.

Dinner in the restaurant was exquisite, exactly what you expect from a relais et château. We stayed in January. We relaxed in the outdoor hot tub and sauna. This will be a regular get away for us.

Poor service, great dining.

I left my stay feeling pretty disappointed. The staff wasn’t very friendly, hardly anyone said hello. The room service wasn’t great either. The only things they really did were change the towels and rinse the coffee cups. I had asked for a fridge before arriving, but it wasn’t in the room. When they finally brought one, it was dirty and unplugged.

The bathroom door didn’t close because it was off its hinges. I told the front desk, and they just asked if I was okay with it, but nothing was fixed. The bed wasn’t made during my stay, which has never happened to me before. When I asked why, they said it had been a busy day. Honestly, that didn’t feel like a good excuse. It made me feel like guests were being ignored because other events were more important.

What saved the experience was the food and drinks. The quality was amazing. Big thanks to the chef and the kitchen team...everything was really tasty and well done. Quality was all there !

StoneHaven Manoir was absolutely worth the few extra kilometers off the bike trail. The setting is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and a peaceful atmosphere.

The food was outstanding—clearly prepared by a top chef—and every meal felt special. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

We used all the amenities: the pool, hot tub, sauna, well-equipped gym, and the Hamman (steam room)—all clean, relaxing, and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Quebec.

The spa was fantastic - hot tub, dry sauna, steam sauna. The grounds are connected to a larger trail system - we went snowshoeing and everything was well marked. Highly recommend in winter and considering returning in the warmer months

Wonderful hotel with interesting history and a unique charm. Service was exceptional. Food (dinner and breakfast) was great. Massages amazing. Room was lovely. Wish I had known that staying in the annex would make it a little trickier to se the spa services however. We skipped as we would have had to walk over in our winter gear, get a locker to change, etc as opposed to just walking down in our robe.

Our room had a comfortable king sized bed, an outdoor patio overlooking a lovely courtyard and a washroom with a large walk-in shower. The Nespresso coffee in-room was appreciated. The ‘pièce de résistance’ for us was enjoying the heated whirlpool as snowflakes fell around us. We also appreciated the Hammam steam bath.

Incredible stay. From the moment we were greeted at the front door to the moment we left, we were treated excellently by all the staff.

The food was delicious. The property is beautiful and each room is unique and furnished with beautiful furniture.

Outstanding hotel. I almost don’t want to leave a great review so it remains a hidden gem! Gorgeous spot in the Laurentides, with the main building having been painstakingly restored and decorated over the course of 4 years.

We stayed in the newer second building (a 1940s building fully renovated last year.) Our room was spacious, and fully kitted out with top in-floor heating in the fully tiled bathroom, and state of the art heating/cooling/drying system in the room.

Bed was comfortable. Furnishings were beautiful period pieces.

Staff were very attentive and friendly - we got a tour of the main building from the concierge, Manon.

Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic - from the wonderful sommelier to our amazing server, Christophe.

The property grounds are stunning - we’d love to come back in the summer and can’t wait to return!
