Excellent stay in Val-David. As part of our four day P’tit Train du Nord bike ride we chose Oberge Inn as our final stop. Our room was comfortable and well equipped with a kitchenette. It had nice view over the riverside property. Our host was very friendly, we appreciated using the common kitchen and the outdoor lounging areas and bonfire to spend time with the couple we were travelling with and to meet the other guests. Although we did not use it, there is a small beach area for swimming and kayaking. The Inn is easily accessible from the bike path and has a secure area to store your bikes. Walking into centre of Val-David was a short stroll over a little bride on the Rivière du Nord.

We loved this inn. Our room with a kitchenette was very well designed and had everything we needed to cook breakfast. We also could have cooked dinner there. The place was super clean and seemed to be recently renovated. The grounds were lovely; we wish we had spent more time there. We stayed a week while attending a music camp at a nearby lake. We highly recommend this beautiful inn.

Great place to stay!

We got our entry codes as promised. Entry and registration easy.
Check out the common room. You can cook, sit at a lovely long table to eat. Welcome note as we used the Keurig early morning telling us that we would find real cream in the fridge in the common room.
It is beautifully quiet - no TV in our room.

Very clean and updated house, room and bathroom. Hair dryer in bathroom as well as a combo hand/body/shampoo soap. Access to shared kitchen was nice. Milk, tea, coffee available for guests to use. Enjoyed a swim in river at back of property. Walk to restaurants. Hosts invited guests to bonfire at night which was nice. Self checkin but hosts live on property and were available for any questions.

This property sells itself as high end but is a glorified youth hostel-we were overcharged clearly by posted rates and I would not ever recommend this place. My wife has a knee injury and had to climb awkward stairs to “luxury” (the words from a staff member not mine)-full bathroom hardly accurate and being in construction industry this place doesn’t meet code with tripping hazards and extension cords everywhere
I am blaming Expedia too as this is third time I have had been to falsely marketed properties and won’t use them again either for my business and will let others know that I deal with
I want a refund and explanation anything less won’t cut it with me

Great stay at Oberge!

The Overage Inn was perfect! I was doing the marathon on the P'tit Train du Nord trail, and the Inn was less than 1/2 mile walking distance to the start. The Innkeeper was wonderful and offered to help me find transportation back to the Inn after the race. The breakfast each morning was delicious and convenient...and they even had a small fire pit by the lake each evening. The Inn was cozy, well appointed, and really comfortable. And all the people staying there were friendly and great to talk to. There was also a grocery store and a few local restaurants within walking distance. I will return in the future!

Such a beautiful property. There is a volleyball court and many outdoor games. We enjoyed a fire in the evening. The room is quiet and very clean. The bed is very comfortable. We rode our bikes along the P'tit Train du Nord and this place is very close to the trail along a scenic footpath. We had a short walk to the restaurant.

In the summer it could be amazing. Volleyball area, beautiful patio on the river, canoes for rent and pickup after, community kitchen with lovely breakfast provided. No airconditioning in rooms downstairs and since we were there in fall not sure how hot it would be in summer on very hot days. Host very quick to respond and very kind and generous. Our room was not ready when we got there and he upgraded us immediately to a suite with kitchen! Loved it and would stay there again if price suits!

This is a very nice property on the river next to the centre of Val David. Very convenient to good restaurants. The property is equipped with many outdoor games and facilities. Breakfast was very good and complete.
Unfortunately the air conditioning is just in the corridor and not in the individual hotel rooms so the night was rather hot because it was unusually hot weather.
Lorraine and Guy were very friendly and helpful. We shall return for another visit.

Lovely Little Hostel in Beautiful Area

We stayed here for the Labor Day weekend while our kids were at a nearby camp. This was the perfect little couple’s getaway. We loved our room and the entire setting. The grounds were adorable with sand volleyball, bbq, deck areas and hammocks, bike storage and rental and right along a nice river view for SUP or kayaking. From here we conveniently were able to go hiking in the Val David Regional Park and in Mont Tremblant National Park. Beautiful views all around. If you stay and like to hike we recommend the hiking loop C where from the top you get a great view of Lac Dore. Thank you for a great place to call home for a few days.

Perfect Stay!

The property is absolutely beautiful and the room was updated and clean. I loved the free breakfast in the mornings, they couldn’t guarantee everything was safe for peanut allergies but we didn’t have any issues. And it was the perfect food to fuel up before a hike. It’s in a great part of Val David, super easy to walk to local restaurants for dinner. Goï is wonderful, she does a great job maintaining the inn. We are planning to come back in the fall!

I was so impressed with the Oberge inn. It was one of the cleanest and most comfortable hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It was quiet and relaxing. Guy, the owner was extremely helpful and provided information very quickly when asked. Loved that we could check in on our own and were given codes to get into the inn and our room.

I liked everything about the property. Beautiful view from our room on the lake. We were biking Le P’tit train du Nord and they had a good place to store our bikes, we felt very secured. The place was not quite on the trail but with some info from the tourists’ office, it was easy to find. Talked with the owner during breakfast (sorry didn’t get the name) but she was so friendly, so was her dad. Anyhow, I recommend this place, it is just beautiful. They are also set up outside for bbq if you don’t feel like going out to restaurants. Rooms are super comfy and modern looking. It’s a 5 star place and I will be back 😊

Really nice stay by the river

The location of the Inn was really unique - on a quiet road along the river. We reached it via a pedestrian/cycling bridge just off the Petit Train Du Nord trail.

The sunny back yard and patio with ample seating was lovely. We did not use the outdoor grill or common kitchen but both looked well-stocked.

Our room #23 was very clean and modern with a nice view of the back yard and river. Really ice bathroom with soaker tub. It was difficult to find a place to put both our bags as the room was smaller and without closet.

Our contactless check-in was a bit confusing - directions for the shared kitchen weren’t clear and our room was missing towels so not the best way to start a stay.

It was difficult to tell who worked/lived at the inn and who was a guest at times. The people that ran/owned? the Inn were lovely.

The included breakfast was good- fresh, warm croissants were delicious. Mini muffins/toast/fruit were also included. It would have been nice to have a little more protein on offer.

For the most part we had a really enjoyable stay and loved the town of Val David.

The property itself is a little getaway that is right in a little forest with a babbling river or lake just behind. It is quiet and refreshing to be in nature. The rooms were delightful and cozy that you don't want to leave this little heaven. Just a perfect getaway from a city life.

Oberge is a wonderful choice if you are looking for an unfussy, comfortable place in a great location. You can walk to the village of Val David, rent bikes and kayaks on site (for less than you would pay in town), and use the kitchen. We would definitely go back.

I had a very pleasant stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the area was very quiet at night. There was a nice complimentary breakfast spread and the outdoor area is amazing. There's a fire pit, grill, hammocks, and picnic tables. The shared kitchen is also very modern. You can also rent bikes.

Little piece of heaven

Everything was perfect, the inn is more of an albergue, the owners are very friendly and there is a sense of community there that I would love to be part of. They offer rental services for many sports and water equipments such as kayaking, tubes, bikes, cannoes... so that you can explore the area and enjoy the river that runs by the inn. We are already planning our return, with more time to spare. Val David is also a cute, enjoyable town.
