Front desk manager was super helpful! We were only in Nice for 10 hours but he recommended we walk to the old castle ruins and see the view of the city — gave us a map & great directions. What a must see, it was incredible. Then gave us a great dinner recommendation as well. Property is very continently located. Only items is that it’s quiet noisy at night (which they can’t help being in the city), no parking close to the hotel (& have to pay separately for parking), bed was a little uncomfortable and shower didn’t work super well in our room. Can’t complain for the price though, you could tell the staff cared about the hotel. Overall really great stay.

This hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. I loved the welcome note and macarons in the room. The location is close to shops and transportation and a little away from noisy streets. It is a 10 minute walk to the train station. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was centrally located, but it was too noisy outside no matter what time of day or night. The cooling system wasn’t working at first but when they fixed it, we were not able to control the fan speed. It was blowing air full force and it was annoying specially at night time. The room was small and the bathroom extremely small. No shampoo or conditioners in the shower. The towels were very old, not soft. Staff were nice and answered our questions.

We were very excited by the location of this hotel. However, as soon as we checked in (by the most lovely staff, some of the nicest people we met), we were surprised to hear what sounded like our upstairs neighbors bowling and dropping every item they owned. This continued for 4 days. We also had next door neighbors who would leave their door open while drunkenly screaming and blasting music. We were told to call the front desk or use WhatsApp to get ahold of the reception for any issues, but never received an answer despite multiple attempts. The rooms are small but manageable, as we didn’t need a lot of space. However, the bathrooms are so small that some people may not be able to even close the door while using the toilet. Upon checkout, we found ants ALL over our hotel room floor which was very gross. Overall 3/5, we started off very happy but the noise and ants definitely took it down some points.

The room is small and basic. There is a tiny shower stall that isn’t very clean. Most receptionist are nice (2 were wonder) with the exception of 1. The location is good if you want lots of shopping or the train access. For me I think we would prefer to be closer to the beach but that’s just a personal preference. There is a cafe and restaurant next to hotel which were good, Overall just ok.

Could use a deep cleaning. Bathroom was dingy and all corners dirty. Walls are think and pipes are loud. Typical very small French room. Biggest problem was coming in late the overnight man was not at the 24/7 reception desk and after ringing the bell and even calling I started knocking on the glass door and he woke up and came over to let me in. He was annoyed with me (literally the night of the Grand Prix, parties don’t end till 5 am and it was well before that). He asked why I didn’t use the code (what code) and why I didn’t ring the other bell (the one marked handicap ramp). What?!

I had a fantastic stay at this charming boutique hotel in Nice. The hotel was beautifully designed and comfortable. My room had a stunning view of the Notre-Dame Basilica, which was lovely through the large windows that opened, there was a gate across rather than a true balcony.
One of the highlights of my stay was the HUG Café attached to the hotel. I pre-purchased my breakfast, which was affordable and gluten-free. The café had a great selection of gluten-free options, all of which were delicious. Their cappuccino was hands-down the best I had during my entire trip—absolutely perfect!
The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a coffee and tea station. Upon arrival, I was provided with complimentary bottled water, which was a nice touch. While there was no shampoo or conditioner provided, the hand soap and body wash were of good quality.
The staff were incredibly friendly and fluent in multiple languages, making communication effortless. I did have one minor issue with the heating unit not being synced to the remote control, but the staff was quick to assist.
One thing to note is that this isn’t a quiet area—the basilica bells ring hourly, and the street outside is bustling with activity, including the tram. However, I didn’t mind at all, as I’m used to a city atmosphere. A major perk was being able to watch the Carnaval parade right from my window! Such a unique experience!

We spent two nights in this lively hotel. Pre-booked a really affordable bottle of sparkling which was waiting in the room with two flutes, sweets and a nice hand written welcome! The wine was delightful and a good value. Breakfast downstairs was excellent and I appreciated the cold water dispenser in the lobby. The staff were fabulous. Tom was very helpful this working as we were booking a car to the train station (really a short walk but with packs w opted for an Uber for 12 Euro). The desk staff also explained the tram system which was very convenient for getting to old town. While the room was small if was efficient and even had a kettle and an espresso machine. We would stay again if in Nice

One of the few things that stood out first and foremost for me was the friendly and professional hotel Cafe Hug staff. They were very warm and accommodating. Throughout my stay they have become my good friends and have suggested to me the local sights and places to go visit that would otherwise be overlooked. The second factor that stood out was the cleanliness of the hotel interiors and the quality of room service. The third factor was the location convenience. Hotel du Centre is 5-10 minutes walking distance from the Nice-Ville Train station and is by the Nice Tram route as well. Having these within walking distance ensures that one can go visit many of Côte d'Azur's beautiful towns.

Loved the location across from the cathedral. Very walkable, with the tram stations within 5 minutes and the train station in 8 minutes. Grocery store and mall across the street. Staff were the best. Lots of amenities available. Breakfast was at the cafe below, so coffee and pastry tray at tables beneath the cathedral, watching people go by. Great gelato place on the same block. There is a tiny two-person elevator for those who can’t do stairs.

Not a good experience here. I travel around the world this year and stayed in many different hotels. I usually don’t write a review. But I feel I should write one for this hotel. The front desk staff asked me to pay for breakfast and told me it’s really good. In fact, this is one of the worst breakfast I had. The elevator is extremely small and can’t even fit 2 persons with luggage. There are some other issues that definitely need to be improved. I hope there will do.

The hotel is cheaper than most in the area but they really go the extra mile with complimentary drinks and macaroons on arrival. All of the perks hotels.com listed I could receive as a gold member do not even exist at this hotel. Late checkout costs money, they checked us in even later than the advertised room, and we had to pay for our room upgrade (so I know an upgrade was available). The \"suite\" we upgraded into was just a slightly larger hotel room with an awkward spot where there could be a seating area but there was no furniture. Additionally, the shower wand had to be manually held because the latching mechanism did not work. The check in process was extremely chaotic and the hotel was not a good use of 200$.

My two teenage children and I stayed in a triple-room for a single night last week. We booked it online as soon as we arrived in Nice. The elevator was typically tiny, as was the \"lobby\" area :) The price was fair -- the room was small, but had a fridge and room for all 3 of us. The room/bathroom were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room's AirCon wasn't cooling well which, on our way out immediately after check-in, we mentioned to the kind woman in charge. When we returned five hours later, the room was appreciably freezing and we'd been provided a fan. Outstanding response and service. 10% discount on coffee/drinks next door at HUG was nice. Location was great, smack in the center of everything in Nice and a short walk from the tram stop. Will book again next time we are in town. Since it can be crucial, I'll repeat: The staff were all lovely.

Hotel De Centre is a very nice hotel right in the middle of everything in Nice, great location and all major attractions are a 20 minute walk or less. You are on the main street 20 minutes from the beach. Nice Ville train station is less than a 10 minute walk if you want to go to Monaco or Cannes. Customer service at the hotel was amazing, everybody was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are a little small and there are additional charges added on if you want to check in early or check out late

Hands down , the staff is the best. The front desk is open 24/7, and there's no problem if you come a little late for check in from your previous adventure. The clerk took time to explain everything about the hotel and how i can save money on parking and dining. Amenities are a little old, but very well kept. For the price like that in a high season, it is a steal.
