A beautiful and tranquil location on Lake Rotoiti. The location is serene and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again another trip. The manager on duty recommended the nearby Okere Falls Cafe for a GF breakfast and it was delicious and a great start to exploring the amazing local landscape.

The room and stay was good. Telhe room did not have enough glasses and cups. While booking they highlighted champagne service in the amenities, but nothing was offered during our stay which seemed disappointing and misleading.

On arrival, the reception staff were polite. However, our experience declined the following morning when we discovered there was no power on one side of the room, and the lights and power sockets were not working. We reported this issue to staff before heading out for the day.
When we returned at around 9:20pm, our access cards were no longer working and we were unable to enter our room. There were no staff present at reception, so we followed the instructions provided and attempted to contact staff using the reception phone and the listed mobile number. Despite multiple attempts, no one responded.
As we urgently needed access to our room for the night, we contacted customer support for assistance, which took considerable time. Meanwhile, we continued trying to reach the property. At around 10:00pm, someone finally answered, and a staff member arrived at approximately 10:20pm — over an hour after we first tried to get help.
When we asked about the delay, we were told the call had only just been received and were questioned about whether we had followed the correct process. After waiting for such a long time, it was disappointing not to receive an apology.
Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and we would not choose to stay here again.

This resort is very dated. If you don’t care about using any of the amenities, the price is a great deal. We found the room reasonably clean, though there were stains on the lampshade, lots of scuff marks on the wall, and amateur repair work on the sliding screen for the big bathtub. It was comfortable but felt cheaply repaired. The breakfast was eh. The sauna wasn’t working, the pool looked dated, the grounds looked dilapidated, and the exercise room was a musty afterthought. I needed to clean clothes in the laundry room, and the from desk employee told me that he wouldn’t charge me. Lol! The room was dirty and chaotic and the dryer didn’t dry the clothing really well.
Kinda sad, given the stunning location and the friendly owners. I have photographs so that it doesn’t seem like I’m being vindictive.

Basically a nice hotel but looks like it’s due for renovation. My daughter was extremely disappointed that they weren’t willing to send on the plush toy that she accidentally left in our room. They confirmed they had it at reception but I never heard from them again when I asked (three times) if they could send it to me in the UK at my own expense. It was one of a pair that she got with her best friend and I can’t replace it as they’re out of stock everywhere. 😕

The geothermal waters have corroded the Tapware and other fittings within the facility. We checked in after hours and the process was smooth overseen by restaurant staff. Unfortunately, the bathroom requires a really good scrub down and showering left us feeling dirty. We did not have breakfast in our package. Parking was abundant and free and it was lovely to look around the lake. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes back into town.

The room was pretty clean and the bed was comfortable. Sadly that’s the only good part. The whole place seemed neglected and run down. Paint was peeling on the bathroom walls, dead dragonflies in the hallway windowsills. It was probably a lovely property 20 years ago but it has not been maintained. Even the patio furniture by the lake is in need of replacement. We weren’t expecting top luxury, but we didn’t feel it was worth the money we paid.
