This apartment complex sits atop a hill between the renowned resorts of Puerto Rico and Amadores, boasting spectacular panoramic ocean views and vistas of both villages. Facing the Teide volcano, guests are treated to breathtaking sunsets each afternoon.
Conveniently located, a bus station is just 100 meters away, shopping is within 400 meters, and the beach is 2 kilometers away. Las Palmas Airport is 55 kilometers from the complex.
Built in 2007, the four-story complex offers 70 apartments and features a lobby with 24-hour reception, a safe, currency exchange, elevator access, a game room, paid internet access, and parking. A children's playground is also available for a fee.
Apartments feature a bedroom with two beds and a connecting room with a sofa bed, separated by an open arch. A living room with an additional sofa bed and a private bathroom with a shower are also included.

We showed up one day late and they gave our rooms up and we paid for three days but they did accommodate us, but the room was a joke. They said it was an upgrade an apartment. I wouldn’t let anybody stay in something like that rundown the showerhead connected to the wall was leaking couldn’t take a shower. Toilet barely flushed pretty funny.

I was dumbfounded with this hotel after reading the reviews. I can't possibly understand if I was at the same hotel as the ones who wrote recent reviews. We booked four nights. First of all they offer \"free self parking\". Well the hotel is on the public beach and the public beach has parking which is always full especially at night. Lucky if you can park anywhere near the hotel and you have to park on dark side streets at night way away from the hotel. The room was incredibly run down. The balcony door lock was broken which made the room totally unsecure. The hot water was scarce and the drain was partially clogged. The internet was horrible and kept going in and out. Only one plug in the entire room worked and to charge your phone you had to unplug the TV to use it. The coffee machine was brand new, never used, until I realized that this was because the TV outlet was high up on the wall and the plug could not reach this TV outlet, so it was useless. The beds and the linens were very clean however. The pictures on the website of the pool were deceptive. What was missing in the photos was that the pool was packed with people and children all day. It was impossible to even attempt to swim in it. I would characterize it as a \"kiddie wading pool\". Every chair around the pool was occupied so there was no where to sit.

I would've given five stars but the suite I stayed in needed an update and/or replacement of the jacuzzi. I was unable to use it because stuff kept coming out of the jets. We booked the suite and everything in the room is extremely old. The shower had more water hitting the wall than your body. Some cabinets wouldn’t close. The safe didn’t work. The tub was outdated, the windows wouldn’t close, the wifi was a bad connection and spotty, the tv picture quality was bad. The bar was useless and was the only place to work as there was no work desk. The water dripped continuously in the shower. The towels were thin and very used. I don’t believe the square feet advertised. The only positive was the view.

The site I booked had a broken Jacuzzi, no shower head in the Shower and the AC did not work. I had to move to another room which was a much smaller standard room, but no price adjustments were made. The AC in the small room was very weak as well. I am hesitant to provide this review because the staff was pleasant, but it just wasn’t a good stay.

Wasn’t even there 30 minutes.
Beach is full of debris, mainly wood from washed up trees and hotel makes no effort to clean it up to make it walkable.

When we checked in we were not given pool or beach towel tickets. Our room’s safe did not work so therefore we had to hide our passports and hope they would not be stolen. There wasn’t a comforter on the bed. We found it the second night tucked away in a different piece of furniture. In suite 6 there was a nasty hole by the jacuzzi tub. The shower head sprayed water straight into the floor so we had to put a towel OVER the shower head to not flood the room when we showered. There was ZERO staff at the check out desk from 6:00-6:30am and we HAD to leave for the airport to catch our flight and so I had to leave a note that we were checking out. I still have no idea if they got that I checked out this AM. There was an huge spider on a reading light above the bed we killed. Overall, if I could give this place zero stars I would.

This is my 3rd trip to Balcon Del Mar. ( in the middle of a name change to Paradise Jaco Beach). I love that it’s right on the sand. It’s a small resort and by then end of the week you know the staff, they are wonderful. Breakfast every morning included is also nice.

Location is excellent - better part of the beach (in my opinion), right on the beach, and a short walk from the main strip. This was my second time staying there. It is an older hotel and it's currently going through some changes and renovations. Staff is friendly - no complaints there. However breakfast is no longer a buffet - and takes a long time to arrive. And you now have to wear bracelets like you would at a resort - except it's not a resort and those bracelets are annoying in the water and cause tan lines. We kept taking ours off. Also, one of our rooms had the glass for the shower installed on the wrong side so the water would splash everywhere when you shower - but hoping the renovations will address that.

There are no signs with the hotel name. Unless someone points at it you don’t know where it is. I had an argument with some drunk over the parking space. Water barely flowing in the shower. The entire town of Jaco is not neat

I had a really bad experience. I was changed 3 times. We had one of the suites with balcony view. The first room we arrived in the automatic door was not opening so we were locked out of our room for a while. They decided to move us to the room across but the AC was not working on this second unit. They then proceeded to move me to a 3rd room in the upper level however our fridge was not working the entire stay & at that point we were so exhausted from moving rooms & the traveling we decided to stay on the 3rd room. The location was the only convenient part of the hotel & the ocean view. I asked for a late checkout & even after everything we had already gone thru they charged me $50 for the late checkout. They construction in the hotel around the hotel by the hotel, the entire five days we were there. The shower stall in our room was like a sprinkler and it would fill with water so we were all bathing in each other’s bathwater. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. I’ve never been in jail, but I’m sure that’s what the bed feels like in jail.

The location is perfect. The food is good. Breakfast is included. The internet always works and even reaches out to the beach. Plenty of towels in the rooms. The biggest fail is that coolers and personal speakers are prohibited around the pool. I would not stay here again solely for this reason. The seating at the restaurant should be managed better. I traveled in a group of 10 family members, 6 adults and 4 kids. One or two people would be allowed to occupy a table for 6 instead of a table for 2 or 4 and the employees wouldn't ask them to move to a smaller table. But then we were asked to move from the two tables of 4 that we pulled chairs up to because it left a table of 2 without chairs and we were told that they were executive tables as if we didn't belong there.

I will say that the location was in the middle of everything. Unfortunately, location was the only positive. We actually left about 10 minutes after checking in. The room was gross. Just not clean. The sink was broken, the room was outdated, and bathroom was grimey. We stayed just long enough to hook up to the wi-fi so we could find another hotel and then we left. I will not recommend this hotel at all.

The property was very nice. The hotel staff was very accommodating. I stayed here 6 days with my fiancé and we both had a great time. A/C was very cold and the room was cleaned well everyday. Breakfast was great everyday. The only thing that could have been better was water pressure/heat. But still that would not stop me from booking here again. For Costa Rica this is a 5star hotel in the USA it wouldn’t be but it is much different there and just enjoy where you are get over the comforts of home you miss. Thank you very much for the great smiles/ laughs/ breakfast Balcon Del Mar.
