The tuk tuk takes a long time, they seemed a bit disorganized. There were no utensils, pots, pans, bowels, plates, etc. You had to pay an additional fee for those items. Considering the amount of of money to stay at the resort you would think it woould be available for free.
Also, it was extremely hard to navigate the bus system they had. They didn't explain how/where the bus takes you. Grab was much easier to use.

The units are sizable and the Ibiza Club was beautiful. The only challenge we had was, we took a tuk tuk across the property to one of the 2 available breakfasts and, even though we were well within the hours and there were tables visibly available, they weren’t seating new people.

We had a wonderful stay at the Melia. The villas are big and spacious and the private pools are a great addition. The food was generally good at the buffets and the beachfront location is very good. The best thing about the Melia though are the staff, they couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. We must mention Khuong from the concierge team who changed the battery in our door lock and Heiu at the pool bar in the Menorca pool who were fantastic and great fun to chat to. The housekeeping team were exceptional everyday too. We extended our stay we enjoyed it so much and would definitely stay again.

The rooms ate large.we asked for a 2 bedroom flat. We had two bedrooms with king beds and a room with 2 single beds. It can easily house 2 couples and 2 young adults There was a large dining table for 8 and a sitting area . There was tv in the hall and in each room. We had a lake view room but the lake is nothing to talk about. The beach front rooms are better.
The buggies from the reception area and breakfast place is usually crowded but we can secure a seat in 10mins max.
Would recommend this hotel although it is more than an hours drive to the cable car stn.
Grand world with the food and massage is only 10mins away.

. Just a couple of negative was some materials wasnt top notch like couple of drawer knobs was broke off easily, some warp floor panels. Staff mistakenly charges me for a missing Sprite can but then i show a pic of 2 Coke 1 Sprite but 3 regular Coke . It seem cleaning staff restock the wrong drinks after prior guest.

This property offers you \"All inclusive\" and your pay \"all-inclusive price\" but even in room minibar has charges! Towel services NOT included. MANY drinks not included. Food services are limited. Other water experiences are limited. Remembers there are spider like insects buried in the beach sand. Unfortunately, I have been to many other all inclusive resorts so I can definitely tell you do not spend your money here. Deceptive advertisement by Expdeia and Melia Resorts.

This property is NOT 'ALL INCLUSIVE' When you go to a Western All inclusive resort, in room minibar is included. Here it is not included! They given you a three bedroom with adjacent pool option, but remember, pool may not be clean. The Kitchen has NO utensils. An Extended stay in US is much better than what you see here. The dining options are non. Spanish (Japanese restaurant under construction). The buddy/'tok-tok' is usually late 10-15 minutes. The extra-curricular activities - surfing does not exist on property, snorkeling - not on property, vin-safari not included in \"ALL Inclusive\". My partner got injured - NO FIRST AID KIT AVAILABLE! Look around no AED available. There is a person called 'Terry Nguyen' who runs his own side business of offering 'private snorkeling' experience. He pockets the money and arranges a taxi service and boat service (separate from property admin). Then took us to south of island where the water was not clear, the coral reef had poisonous coral reef and sharp rocks. Expedia and Melia Vinpearl are misleading the customers. Overall expect 50% of what they promise online. Come at your own risk and manage your own health (wound injury -- NO First Aid Kit). I would have had better experience going other genuine all -inclusive resorts with proper standard of safety. Finally, remember, you have to turn on a switch (outside the bathroom) to turn on hot water before putting soap on your body.

Villas are decently affordable for what you get, everything other than lodging is petty pricy like food and spa stuff. The units have zero silverware or plates. Villas come with a stove but have zero pots and pans which is odd. Property is pretty dated as far as technology goes. Pros were amazing staff and affordability for larger groups. Cons were dated and not fully equipped. Not a walkable location at all. I would recommend going somewhere else like Wyndham or radisson blue closer to grand world unless you just wanna relax and not leave your place for the entire stay. It was just okay.

This was a family of 5 stay, with 2 toddlers and 1 teenager. Everyone loved it. The kids club was great for the toddlers and they have scheduled activities. Maybe after age 6 or 7 it could be to baby-ish. The private pool was aaaaaaaamazing, especially for a night swim. We had the two bedroom villa. Breakfast and dinner was included in our stay. The buffet had lots of variety for the a
m. and p.m. The food was decent some dishes were really good. I would definitely consider the food pkg bc outside the resort, nearby, is nothing (that we saw of). There is a shuttle that takes you to Vinwonders and the safari. The hotel staff was nice, the pool was nice, the beach was nice. The property is huuuuuuge. There are coconut and mango trees everywhere. The bed and sheets are standard. The villa itself is aaaaaamazing. It does have a kitchen but we had not dishes or cookware in ours, odd. But we also didnt plan on using it anyway. We did order room svc, the pizza, Ceasar salad, and spring rolls were NOT good. The burger was decent.

Melia truly takes things to the next level in terms of comfort, location, food, and space. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa with the All-Inclusive option, and the experience was mostly excellent.

The villa was enormous—easily spacious enough to host a large gathering. It was equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the private pool was a fantastic touch. It meant we didn’t need to head to the main pool or beach just to cool off, which added a lot of convenience and privacy to our stay.

Dining at Melia was another highlight. The food quality was consistently high, especially the meats and seafood, which were always fresh and plentiful.

However, the All-Inclusive package left us a bit puzzled. Many drinks required either an upgrade to a higher tier or an out-of-pocket payment, even if they were listed on the standard menu. The same drink might be free in one spot but chargeable in another, and some beach areas and minibar items also came at an extra cost. For what we paid—$1,000 AUD per night for a family of three—we expected a more genuinely all-inclusive experience.

Melia offers a rich program of activities. We particularly enjoyed the yoga classes with Vani, who was both professional and attentive. She adapted each session to the abilities of the guests and even took some great photos to share with us.

Overall, our stay was memorable and enjoyable, though a clearer and more inclusive approach to the All-Inclusive offering would elevate the experience further

Had high hopes for this lovely villa and resort but they sadly fell short.

April 2025, very low occupancy so food/drink places limited, season coming to end. All inclusive limitations on food/drink and places we could eat/drink were in place - with no explanation as to what ‘Premium AI’ was so these ‘extras’ could be attained. eg, a lovely cocktail bar with nice seats (and was empty) but told couldn’t go in there. Theme/Menu in main buffet was mainly suited to Koreans. Difficult to get drinks in buffet, often warm as no onsite bar.

Room - fantastic but little touches (wet paint ruined some clothes, ants in bathroom, broken catches on sliding doors) let it down. Complex system to using beach towels, with a £40 deposit per towel that seemed crazy, we didn’t dare borrow a golf umbrella!

Sea, beach lovely, although main pool (Ibiza) seemed to have many bugs in it. Shame not constantly being removed as lots of staff that were not very busy.

Games room, absolutely fantastic pool table, but no bar nearby (that we could go to) meant carrying drinks up a huge staircase to play pool.

We guess many who stay here would visit the ‘theme parks’ at this end of the island, these were not of interest to us but driving past them, from the road they looked tired with miles of empty shop fronts.

Airport transfer well organised and comfortable.

Felt a partial refund would be fair for the limitations and closed facilities but nothing offered from Melia when requested via Expedia.

Despite a horrendous 1-hour check-in, we had a great stay at Melia. The resort is big, but Villas are private and very spacious. We loved the yoga (with Vani and Risa), the pool room, the Melia-nade!

We had some issues with the plumbing (toilets and shower drains) but we're resolved with maintenance.

I don't know what happened at check-in, but this started our trip on a sour note. However we ended on a nice note with staff very accommodating to our family.

We booked the all inclusive and was very disappointed with the food especially the snacks and drinks choices. The drink choices were very limited and the bartenders didn’t know whats supposed to be in each drink. Even the cgeapest beers in vn were not included. The floors in our rooms were damaged with water leaks. They charged for almost everything even we had the all inclusive. Paid $600 for 2 nights which is very expensive in vn but we didn’t enjoy the food.

If you can, you definitely should. Huge living space, beautiful bedrooms, large outdoor living with private pool. The breakfast buffet was good and the other resort pools were also fantastic. Staff though was what made this resort so good. We met tons of great staff. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights in phu Quoc and that was perfect. Small tip for vinwonder world, bring your swim gear and do the water park first, then you can spend the second half of the day going through the amusement park and drying off and then finish with the incredible light and water show.

We have clogged toilets for our entire stay. We called many times, facilities staff came to fix but problem still persisted thru out our stay.
Also water pressure was low, making it difficult to take shower, also pool water level dropped by half starting in our second day.
On the first day, we noticed strong odor of fresh paint, we also noticed pieces of paints peeling on the floor.

This resort is large and broad, access to the beach was a little wayward unless you stayed at the beachfront villa. You would need transportation to visit outside the resort, due to this reason we may stay close to Duong Dong city for more accessing to nearby location. It is a great place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. The resort beach is clean with lifeguards, water related activities and no crowds. Villa pool is great for private enjoyment. Breakfast is excellent with varieties, we enjoyed vietnamese foods the most.

The hotel is tired and the middle management are not up to the job. The room was dirty on arrival (basic dirty as in thick dust on surfaces) but we were moved. The pool kept draining or stopped filtering which was a pain. Breakfast buffet was ok but a 20 minute wait to get to it. The main meals are over priced. After 2 nights I paid a taxi driver a few quid and from then on he sorted restaurants, travel, scooters-the whole thing. The resort is a sad place. It is trying to be a Disneyland but with not enough customers so it is dating rapidly as no capital expenditure to keep it going. I fear in a couple of years it will bankrupt itself. Mrs B also pointed out that the resort ran out of white wine, so no way a 5 star resort.

Was such a lovely stay, free bus shuttle from and to airport made things less stressful. Free shuttles to all Vinpearl and Grandworld also made budgeting really easy as did not have to pay for transportation. Was like staying in your own home but more luxurious. Staff were lovely but some of the other guests were not so lovely.

Beautiful villa with a private pool overlooking the \"lagoon\" on a nice beach. These are the positives. However, not 5 star services, and the food and beverages quality was terrible with very limited options at the buffets (and no indications of allergies, etc). I got food poisoning on the last day from the breakfast buffet. Aside from that, majority of staff, although friendly, couldn't communicate well in English. Villas look like and deserve 5 stars, but rest of the experience is definitely well below that.

Beautiful grounds. Loved the suites & personal swim out pools. Greeter/bellman on our arrival was not helpful with our luggage and was too distracted on his phone. Breakfast was good. waiting for the carts took a while (especially in the rain). We made arrangements to have the cart come at 6am to take us to the lobby and they didn’t show-up.

Absolutely paradise, we were in an all inclusive package, we had to skip meals as so much food is served, staff is kind and careful. Smiling 😊 and helpful. I highly recommend Melia Vinpearl and if you come in a honeymoon, do not hesitate to upgrade yourself and let staff contagious happiness make your life less miserable.

It is indeed a 5-star hotel with all huge villa style single houses, all have private swimming pool and a very good on-call moving around transportation system with very short waiting time. I believe all guest villas are for minimum of 4 or more guests with living room, kitchen, dining room with multiple guest rooms and baths. It was an unforgettable 2-day stay for me except the rain in Phu Quoc area in October. There are shuttle buses to theme parts as well as the airport. Strongly recommended for the affordable price I paid.

The property was super spacious and looks beautiful. Its decor was elegant and truly stunning. It has pretty much everything you need. The private pool was a bonus. We love it very much. The resort is nice but not worth a 5 star. The dining options are extremely expensive (overprice). Lunch buffet 500000 VND/person. Dinner buffet 770000 VND/person week day and 850000 VND/person weekends. The resort doesn't have any entertainment. Just relax, go to the beach, and swimming pool. Complementary bicycles need to reserve a head of time but the staffs did not mention it. It has a good gym.

Came here for our honeymoon and it was less than impressive. We asked for a late check out when we checked in (2 days in advance). We were told we’d have to wait til the day of. When that day came they said we could not check out late b/c they had another reservation. This is why we asked for it 2 days in advance. The food was awful, lacked flavor, and was not fresh (stale at times). The resort is full of noisy & rude guests who do not supervise their children. They often skip you in line or interrupt when you are trying to talk to staff. The resort does not enforce rules of common curtesy or proper etiquette. You are treated like a number and they do not seem to care about customer service or your experience. Knowing it was our honeymoon you’d think they’d put us in a suite by the beach with a romantic and private view. Instead they put us by families with small children which was very noisy and not romantic. I made a spa appointment a day in advance, when I called for a driver to take me to my appointment they said I did not have one and offered no apologies. Very disappointing stay and poor hospitality.

just one thing I disliked that there was music stage for buffet dinner in the beach and Villa guests (local Vietnamese) were allowed to sing a song very loudly on the stage late night. I was there with family. two boys already fell asleep at that time but got up due to the noisy.

Great Villa at a MASSIVE Resort

The villa we were in was very spacious and stayed very clean. The resort is amazing. The people that work there are some of the best I have ever dealt with. We wanted to try the theme park and safari but were unable. The free bus to/from the airport as well as free roundtrip bus to Duong Dong for the night market were well managed.

Unfortunately historic rainfall hit the island the entire week we were at this resort and it flooded. The resort was quick to call in equipment and dig trenches to the beaches to relieve the flooding. The overwhelming rainfall caused alot of issues. Fortunately the hotel staff (from the Discovery 2, which was flooded out) moved us to another part of the resort (this place is huge) at the VinOasis which is more of a hotel with a casino in the center of it. Those rooms were nice as well. Very comfortable beds. We received many apologies, but you cannot control the weather!

We had the complementary breakfast at three places: Discovery 1, Discovery 2, and VinOasis.
Discovery 2 and VinOasis had breakfasts unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Discovery 1's breakfast was not good....hard pancakes, old food, throwup on the floor...it was just a gross experience.

Overall, even though it rained cats and dogs the staff treated us extremely well and took care of everything....even when we didn't ask for anything.

The only downside to the island is the roads to the resort are littered with HUGE potholes and broken chunks of road.

Nice place but needs improvement in service level

It was a really nice place but the hotel is clearly not used to having Westerners as guests. It was impossible to get kitchen equipment, even though there was a huge kitchen in each villa, which means we couldn't even cut our fruit when we wanted to and there was no possibility to order a nice bottle of sparkling wine to enjoy on the terrace, or even if we would have brought one there were no glasses. So I would recommend to them the following:
- have a basic equipment in each villa so that guests can cut fruit or have a drink in the sunset when they want to

- have a good wine list to order from including sparkling wine/champagne

- have more activities planned for kids to join

The beach is amazing and the villa is gorgeous. There is really so little they would have to improve to make this place a dream place.

Beautiful villa with plunge pool

Beautiful villa and so comfortable especially the bedding. Great service in the restaurant. Lots of choices at the buffet. Very difficult to leave the villa as everything we needed was there. The prices of the all la carte menu were so reasonable. Our villa looked over the golf course which had monkeys running around in the morning. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends for a relaxing holiday.

It's horrible. They didn't clean well and even worse there were a lot of ants in the room. I stayed at 3 bedroom villas, and I found the ants in all the rooms, kitchen, toilet, even on the bed. What is worse, the ants went into my suitcase, so many ants were around my babies' clothes and my body. Because of this, I spent a few hours to solve this problem !!! I couldn't enjoy my travel and it was totally waste of my time. I didn't stay at this terrible hotel any more, so I required the refund to move to another hotel. But they never accepted.

Good stay but was expecting more!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean view villa @ Vinpearl Discovery 2. Whilst the villa was beautiful, it was out of the way from the swimming pools, gym etc and we needed to call a tuk tuk each time we wanted to go to or from the pool or gym. The sauna had to be booked and you could not simply turn up. Staff spoke basic English though I was expecting them to be able to speak more than what they could. Still prefer Vinpearl Da Nang, where service was exceptional!

A WONDERFUL, RELAX VACATION AT THIS RESORT

The resort should be a 5 star at least, not 4 star as shown in the hotel search. The villa was so beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The check-in/check-out process was quick and easy. The staffs were so polite doing their services. The staffs were trained so well to serve customers perfectly that picky people could not complain at all per my opinions. They bowed their heads and stood aside of the carts to wait customers boarding the carts. Especially we were given a tour by a new guy, Bang Ngoc Nguyen, just having worked only 13 days and still under probation but having a full knowledge about the resort. He guided us around the resort and explained to us very detail when being asked, from the beaches to Safari, to unfinished Casino, to Villas in Vinpearl 1 & 2. We stayed at Vinpearl 3. The buffet meals varied daily and so tasty, and delicious that we could not resist. We booked our stays including 3 meals and the resort gave us the missed lunch when we boarded the bus to the airport. We completely enjoyed and relaxed 5 wonderful vacation days at this resort. Absolutely we will come back here when visiting Vietnam in the future. Thank you Vinpearl resort for your exceptional services and gracious lunch meal.

Beautiful home away from home

It was about a 45min drive from the ferry where we were picked up complimentary. We stayed in a two bedroom ocean villas and it was beautiful!! All the comforts of home and better. The resort is so large that golf carts transported us wherever we needed to go and arrived almost immediately when called, no waiting around. The service here is the best of any experience I’ve had in Vietnam, everyone was happy and enthusiastic to help in any way. The grounds were kept impeccable.

The breakfast buffet was lovely but lunch and dinner were a bit of challenge as there wasn’t much choice. The dinner buffet was quite pricey at 700,000 d/per person and the selection was just ok. We ended up ordering room service and having family style dinners in our villa, dishes averaged about 100,000d to 300,000d per item.

Vinpearl land amusement park and safari are just 5mins away and they offer two daily shuttle buses to the night market if it fancies you to go to town.

The spa was not yet open and you would need to be transported to ‘phu Quoc 1’ they called it to use the spa there as this resort is not fully booked out enough to have all the amenities opened at this time. The steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were available for use though and complimentary with your stay.

I liked that vinpearl had their own green house which you can see on the drive in where they grown their own organic produce. They also have their own international hospital.

The overwhelming majority of issues we experienced arose from poor service levels and ineffective communication. The facility and rooms are very well designed and wonderfully furnished.
I’ve listed specific issues we encountered… some are significant, some are minor. But, the sum of them together made for a very disappointing experience. Food and Beverage is a disorganized mess. Room service is slow (1.5 - 2 hours) and delivers food cold. The buffet restaurant is not cleaned well. Complimentary transportation to town is poorly organized leaving passengers unsure of how to return to the resort. Any requests take long to complete (replacement towels take 60 min to deliver). The villas lack basic amenities (glasses, utensils, and housekeeping does not replace washclothes or hand towels.

It took a long time to wait for the golf cart to come. The food was too basic and plain and simple. It was a waste of money to pay for dinner. The architecture was simply beautiful inside and outside. No one remind the guest to pay for the combo safari and vinpearl land amusement parks park for a cheaper price. The view was magnificent and the beach was so nice.

Spacious rooms with plenty of amenities; however the villa looked like it was built in a hurry: we could still see residual paint as well as caulking on the floor. The shuttle service is deplorable: one had to usually wait for an average of 30 minutes to get one after placing in numerous calls.
Buffet was boring same food was served for the whole of our stay, 4 days.
