By the look of the exterior and lobby of the hotel, it is a five star worthy resort. The room itself is not as luxurious. The room furnitures show signs of wear & tear. The bed is one of hardest bed, and it hurts my back. The shower drain is also cloggng, and it drains slowly. There are no hair conditioner nor body lotion. The pool is nice, not too busy and not much chemicals in the water. We have free breakfast and bottle water. The only dinning room is huge, with two service buffet areas. The food is above average. Vinholiday provided us free unlimited Vinbus. Free shuttle from airport to hotel and back. Free bus to night market and shopping. We enjoyed the bus rides. We even used it to Sunset town (half way). We also enjoyed the discounted tickets to VinSafari and VinWonder. The free shuttle runs every half hour. We had to fight our way on the last bus after VinWonder water show. Human sardines on the last bus back to the hotel. We also like the beach and the Grand World area. We enjoyed the hotel and breakfast.

Front desk staff were exhausted at times due to some of the counterproductive hotel policies which means everyone has to check in twice as they are not allowed to check anyone in before 3pm. They were apologetic and polite but many other customers seemed frustrated and it also meant There was always a constant queue and they didn’t seem to have many breaks as it was always the same front desk staff during our stay.

Pros: they offer a 10% discount on your vin tickets.

The bar staff are wonderful, friendly and make a great cocktail! We really recommend and enjoyed our conversations. (The food wasn’t great. Night caps only!)

Cons: I suggest you use your check in day to arrive early and buy your vinwonders or safari ticket on day of arrival as on day of departure (even if it’s early in the morning) they won’t provide you with the 10% discount they offer which we had purchased before. We didn’t want to do the two parks in the same day (the safari isn’t feasible for most people unless you buy fast passes) and it closes at 4pm. They really have to be done on two separate days.

The breakfast buffet was very hectic and unenjoyable. A lot of people pushing to get food an tea (there is usually a second buffet in the back of the area) and suggest you go for that one unless it’s close to the end of the buffet time. They are missing hot tea refills and milk so that is difficult if you need your morning caffeine.

I wouldn’t book more than two days at this resort.

Out of 2 rooms which we booked, one room had no bin in the bathroom.
No tissues were supplied.
Shower head kept coming down and there was nothing to tighten.
7am water pressure was very low.
7am shower, the hot water was very less.

Simple Comfort and a Lovely Pool in Phu Quoc

The place was clean and comfortable, with all the basics covered. I really liked the big swimming pool. Breakfast was pretty good, nothing fancy but nice. The croissants shaped like the Vietnamese flag stood out. I wish there were more kinds of fruit though. It’s not super fancy, but it’s a great spot to chill and relax quietly in Phu Quoc.

The hotel and surroundings were great. Pool is impressive.. staff were very hospitable and welcoming.
The buffet breakfast is madness with way too many people all trying to access breakfast at the same time. Not enough tables and not enough staff..
Room sizes are very good. Could do with some additional furniture as they are quite sparse.

Awesome staff. Exercise room needs improvement.

PROS:
1. Every single employee is genuinely nice and professional.
2. There are cameras throughout the hotel and good lighting, all good safety measures.
3. Free breakfast buffet offers lots of food and closes at 10:30am which is perfect so kids don't have to wake up too early.
4. We got free 2 water bottles each day per room which is nice.

CONS: We wished they put more thought into the exercise/ gym room:
1- The exercise room should be open 24 hours. People who exercise while on vacation are generally people who prioritize their personal health and safety, and have no need for assistance to operate the exercise equipment, plus there's a security camera in the room and staff at the front desk should anything arise. During the 4 days we stayed, the exercise room closed at 5pm. Of the hundreds (yes, hundreds) of hotels I stayed at within a decade, this is the first for us.
2. Please put small towels, cleaning spray/wipes, and 1-2 yoga mat, and mirror on the wall(s) in the exercise room. The mirror is for safety reasons, as people need to look at their form, ie the weights in relation to their body position so they don't hurt themselves and maximize their exercise.
*Placing the gym room with the pool view is perfect! It's nice to be able to see our family in the pool.

Overall, I'd recommend this hotel, but until they make the recommended changes above, my family will not stay here again mainly because having access to a proper exercise room is important to us.

Hotels.com has it rated as a four-star I rated it as s a 5 star, only complaint was from the 4th floor you can see the first floor glass roof where some patrons have thrown water bottles etc I brought it to their attention but it wasn't cleaned by the time we left and the ceiling fan blades in the room could have been a cleaner but other than that I still give it a five star and very affordable. Staff was very polite & helpful. No ocean view but within walking distance to VinSafari & VinWonders. Casino was 3 minutes away. Exceptionally large and clean swimming pool.

They should change the hair dryer. The one they’re using needs to be push and hold to make it work. If release holding, the hair dryer will stop working. It’s very inconvenient because my hands are weak and hurt. I cant hold it for long.

The property is beautiful, nicely maintained. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The bar staff, especially Thang, went out of his way to make use happy. He always made our drinks fast and friendly. He even offered to bring our drinks out to the pool for us. We will stay again here again when we return to Phu Quoc.

Quiet, New and clean property. Rate this hotel 3 stars because of the uncomfortable from check-in/checkout process and room equipments. Take too long to check in and had to read, signed paper then provided Visa which I only had to show during enter VN. On top of that, I needed to take photo for my stay which has no explanation about what It’s for. Ridiculous process.

In room, there is only one outlet, one input for all electric devices. Be prepared for adapter or splitter if you want to charge all your devices. The faucet is too short that makes you have to reach the back of the sink to wash your hand. There are few more but overall, look like Vin corp doesn’t have any experience to operate a hotel.

Where should I start? One night stand for a double bed. Electrical outlets in the weirdest places and not convenient. Shower floor is slippery. Shower is hot and cold and can’t stay consistent. Staff are very rude and not accommodating. You have to rent a $.50 floatie. Life guards won’t let the kids play like kids.

Location was great. Close to everything and 5-10 min walk to grand world. Loved the breakfast buffet although the dress policy (no tank top for men) is a little bit ridiculous given the destination.

The room was very spacious, clean with minimal furniture. The one thing we didn’t like was the pillows as they were very thin and flat. We requested more pillows and still had to fold them in halves to get the desired result.

Overall, great value and would stay again if I come back.

The hotel was pretty new so it was nice and clean, service and staff were good, the pool was big and well maintained but too cold to swim. 10min walking distance to the beach, but the beach had no chairs to lay on. The hotel is right on the grand world street, so the night walks are fun and full of entertainments, but the restaurants and little shops in grand world are not completely opened and the few that are open were overpriced. Overall it’s a good area to stay for around a week and not longer.
