It is an excellent location, beautiful sea view rooms overlooking south bay, close to local amenities, there is a lift to take you down to the seafront and back again, only cost £2.50, I recommend it for the view. Rooms are serviced every day, great friendly staff, great restaurant and it’s dog friendly too, don’t take my word for it! Just go and enjoy 😊

Upgraded my room for no extra charge twice because we ended up booking another 2 nights there because how much we enjoyed the whole experience will always be the hotel of choice for us when going to Scarborough

Very clean rooms, love the free water, tea, coffee and milk ect. Great they give a doggie rug for the fur baby and leave a toy. Love the feel of the place , friendly.. free coffee machine, dog treats, water and ice daily in the lounge and sometimes a cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to book online and check in. Parking is now £4 per day with a scratch card from the hotel for council parking. Used to be included. Great area for all amenities and beach. Stayed a few times and will return to Scarborough soon

All good! Room lovely and clean with a great view of the sea; breakfast was lovely too - pancakes with maple syrup (and or bacon if you chose) along with other choices. Because of the weather we didn’t end up taking our dog but saw many there and it’s lovely and dog friendly. A nice quiet room at the back for a chat and a drink and we enjoyed an evening meal there too

Lovely hotel shabby chicbut you don’t worry about as pets are allowed ! Staff lovely and Tea & coffee etc free 24/7 plus free cake at 3pm ish… close to everything and a great view if your on a sea view room. Huge family rooms bathrooms are a little small but still OK would defo go back 9/10 ! Bad bit iPads for check in don’t work loose them not needed staff are much nice reception !

Love this place, really welcoming homely feel. Great facilities in a good location and always very clean and comfortable. Staff are lovely and approachable, particularly the male housekeeping staff member who kindly helped with luggage/doors, saying hi to the dog and generally being warm and friendly. Food in Bareca is great too. This place is a firm favourite of ours for the cosy lounges, and the great dog walks on the doorstep and all the dog washing facilities. Thanks for another lovely stay.

We've been to Bikeboot more than once. The staff are super friendly, and it's ideal for dog owners, as it's a dog-friendly hotel. The bedrooms are lovely, and it's in an ideal area of Scarborough, as it's within walking distance of everywhere. The food is lovely too.

We even got rain ponchos, iron and ironing board.
This was standard room (101) without breakfast and only paid £77

Very cool and funky hotel in a great location, with amazing views over the water. Great sized room we had with a separate living room.
Parking was the only downside as it’s very limited and hard to get close to the hotel. And no lift which made getting out bags up and down narrow stairs quite challenging.
We would definitely stay there again.

This is such a fabulous friendly relaxing place to stay :) The staff were lovely, and the food was excellent; we have food allergies, and the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our assistance dog was given a toy on arrival - it's definitely recommended for people wanting to take their dog on holiday with them. We had a stunning sea view from our room too - the beach is literally less than 5 minutes away. We will be back - nothing but praise for this lovely place.

The free coffee in the lounge, afternoon cake, along with a coffee machine and fresh milk in the room were a great touch.
Ate in the restaurant on one night and the food was great.
Also, the special parking rates at £4 per day are amazing.

Our room was noisy, old , walls and ceiling with cracks, windows frame deteriorated and one glass broken… not safe. Beautiful view but the windows were so dirty due to seagulls I guess, who are a nightmare 24/7 and entertain you especially from 4.30 am on… the. General condition of the hotel is not excellent but the employees are very very nice and with beautiful smiles!

On arrival we were met at the entrance at this point all was good, the gentleman was very helpful. Everything was looking good until we stepped into the lift which was very small and very drab it only just took 2 adults and two hand luggage and everything went down hill from there. The decor was horrendous. Orange and green walls i was beginning to think it was a hostel. The room had a gap at the bottom ofcabout 4 inches, my husband kept hitting his head on the light fitting as it was hanging on a rooe

Stayed at here before as is prefect location in center of Scarborough with many areas within easy walking distance. Lovely hotel with staff second to none. Reasonable prices despite height of summer season and can get extremely busy. Parking can be a pain but other than that… highly recommended

The bike and boots hotel in Scarborough was absolutely amazing. The staff were very friendly rooms extremely clean including all other parts of the hotel. The building is old but has been very well maintained. They also allow dogs on site but unlike other hotels in the area this is kept very clean.. we will definitely be staying again. The food and bar restaurant is very spacious and has a beret of lovely dishes and a good selection of alcohol

The location of the hotel is great, with good parking options around the hotel.
The parking permit is a reduced daily rate.
The hotel rooms are spacious.
Breakfast has plenty of choice and the food in the restaurant is really nice.
Friendly staff.
Nice areas to sit and enjoy a free coffee or a drink from the bar.
Even though its a dog friendly hotel, it doesnt smell \"doggy\".
The negative was the roller blind in the bathroom, our room was at the back of the hotel and the roller blind wasn't blackout.
Its out of the control of the hotel...but the gulls don't sleep..at all...so be prepared for the noise.
I would stay again and deffinatley recommend.

I stayed at the Bike & Boot Hotel in Scarborough as a solo traveller and couldn’t have felt more welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and perfect for someone exploring on their own. The staff were approachable and helpful without being overbearing, which made checking in and settling down really easy.
The location is spot on—right between the beach and town centre—so everything is within walking distance. I spent my days exploring the coastline and came back each afternoon to free cake and coffee in the lounge, which was a lovely touch.

My room was clean, bright, and modern, with a super comfortable bed and a great sea view. The smart TV with Netflix was great for quiet evenings in. I also loved the adventure-friendly extras like secure bike storage, boot/dog washing stations, and the chilled-out guest cinema room.

The Bareca restaurant was ideal for solo dining—casual but good quality. I have dietary restrictions and was genuinely impressed they sourced gluten-free bread just for me.

This hotel has a lot of character, and it caters really well to independent travellers. It felt safe, welcoming, and interesting—everything you want when travelling solo. I’d absolutely return.

We stayed at the Bike and Boot Hotel in Scarborough for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the modern quirky decor. We had a medium sea view room which had a large king size bed with a lovely modern bathroom. We had a fantastic sea view from our window. It can be a little difficult at times to find a parking spot due to the number of hotels in the area. We did not stay for breakfast as we thought this was a little expensive. We would definitely stay here again as we loved the hotel's location and sea view. We are dog lovers so loved seeing the different types of dog around the hotel. All staff were friendly and there to assist if you needed help with the self check-in.

The property is great and very comfy and quirky. Shame the bar shuts at 11, so we missed it by the time we got back from the gig. Very nice breakfast. I just don’t like the fact there’s no actual reception, if there’s people there to assist why not just have a reception desk? Also seagulls and traffic very noisy, no double glazing plus it was very hot so we had to have windows open even though a fan was very kindly provided.

Quirky hotel but quite tired in common areas, especially decor and carpets. Very noisy and hot in bedroom, despute fan in room but it's so noisy had to turn off.
Milk in fridge in a small bottle nice idea except the milk was sour. Overall for £70 overnight stay its not too bad but wouldn't stsy again. That said im unlikely to vidit Scarborough again as the place is filthy and overrun by aggressive gulls that snatched a sandwhich from a young girl yesterday and unbelievably, if i hadnt seen it for myself, took my friend's double icecream straight from his hand whilst sat on the prom.
The noise and mess from the gulls, plus their aggressive behaviour is like a scrne from the birds.

I love this place! I booked the smallest type of room - the boot room- and the two of us found it spacious enough to be comfortable.
Everything is spotless: the room and it's amenities, the bathroom, common areas, the staff clearly keep it to a great standard. There was zero sign that a dog had ever entered the hotel, nermind the room! I need to know your secrets to removing all traces of pet fluff!
The staff are incredibly friendly, warm and personable. They couldn't do enough to help when needed, including looking for late night open shops on my behalf and cutting new keys when we left our original in the room 5 minutes after recieving it.
Love the relaxed vibe, the 24 hour lounge, and the decor. We can't wait to return!

Room was was fine and very acceptable. The en-suite facilities were tiny and more suited to a contortionist than an 83 year old.

However, this is the Bike and Boot and quirky is more than acceptable.

On the other hand the food was terrible. My Caprese Salad lettuce leaves instead of basil, 3 tiny slices of tomatoe and a huggin of mozarella........nothing like a caprese salad.

The paella was microwaved to hell and heat was its only attribute because I doubt if any of the ingredients had seen the sea recently.

This was a respite trip for me and because of the great times and foodwe have had previously I was really looking forward to it................The very excellent Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc did it's best to make things better but the trip as a whole was very disappointing

The hotel location is great with easy parking at a reduced rate .
I loved the free hot drinks and cake that was available in the afternoon.
Negatives - the TV kept losing signal and turning off . I did communicate with the hotel and they acknowledged the problem but couldn’t rectify it :-(

For some reason we got a handicap accessible room so not sure how similar it would be to other rooms but it was spacious and felt luxurious. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Restaurant ambiance was pretty good- good views (room too) tho food wasn’t anything to write home about. Good location in town- a little hard to find but staff vary helpful re helping us find nearby parking.

This hotel is excellent for cyclists and walkers with great facilities for both including dog friendly hotel, but if you’re not either of those then the hotel is just as great too. We were on a business trip and I have stayed here before for a just a night and this was the reason we stayed again. Friendly staff, mini bar in the room, free water, tea, and a coffee machine was a nice touch. The independent Italian restaurant has Bareca was reasonably priced and also with friendly staff in my opinion was very nice.
