I expected more. This hotel was rated a 9.0 on Hotels.com which is usually reliable. This time, sadly, it was not. The hotel felt run down, the staff told us they were tired and the room was in need of attention. The bed was comfortable however. It’s fine but certainly not a nice place to stay.

Good afternoon, travelers — I booked this property because of its 9/10 rating on Expedia, but unfortunately, I would not stay here again. Moving forward, I’ll be cross-checking reviews across multiple travel sites before booking.

A few disappointments stood out. The pool area only had cushioned seating for about six people, and those were always occupied. All the other wicker chairs and loungers were bare, so we ended up not using the pool at all and no spa.

There were no “Do Not Disturb” signs available for the rooms, and housekeeping entered after only a single knock, which was intrusive. On checkout day, there was no courtesy one-hour extension offered—late checkout was charged at $75 per hour.

The room itself was clean, and daily bottled water was appreciated. The bed was lumpy, though the pillows were comfortable.

Breakfast buffet was $20 per person, and the menu advertised an egg station, but when I asked, I was told that wasn’t available. I had the French toast, and it was hard and crunchy on one side, soft on the other, and seemed reheated rather than freshly made.

Afterward, I checked Yelp and found the property rated 3.2, which felt much more in line with my experience than Expedia’s 9/10.

Overall, for me, this was simply a place to sleep and shower — not the quality I expected based on the rating.

The man at the front desk was nice. Hotel look nice except it’s Nasty. Shower was dirty bedding hadn’t been cleaned or changed looked like we slept on top of the cover. I had a throw blanket to lay on top of and made a mistake and slept on a pillow woke up with a swollen irritated eye we left early Sunday morning and my eye is still swollen. We left at 2:30am so only a security guard was at the front desk. Now I have to go to the urgent care I’m sure from dust mice. Too pretty of an hotel but definitely not kept clean the coffee shop or bar didn’t open on time so we had to walk to go get coffee and food

Located right in the heart of New Orleans, this hotel was top tier. From the ambiance, amazing courteous staff service, cleanliness and quiet to the spacious room, amazing bathroom/shower and the comfortable bed. Was able to walk down to Bourbon Street and explore the French Quarter and enjoy the French Quarter Festival. If you are coming to The Big Easy. I HIGHLY recommend staying at The Jung!

I stayed for nine days and four of the nights there was screaming and yelling in the hallways. One of the doors was opened and music blaring. No one from the hotel did anything to curb the noises. Mostly between 2300 and midnight.

The staff was great! The room was pretty clean but there was a minor issue on the floor near the TV stand. We didn’t eat at the hotel at all because of all the options of being home. I loved the security feature of having to use your room key to activate the elevator. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Overall it was a great stay and we will book there again!

Pros:
- staff were amazing, esp Monique or Monica & Melissa (‘hope i got their names right) . She was so warm, welcoming, helpful & very pleasant and everyone loves that!
- nice classy, modern hotel, with huge room and lots of storage, which was so amazing!
- situated at the cana l, lots to do & walking distance to a lot of the areas that you would visit when you are in NOLA, and superdome, also very accessible to public transportation, so you can save paying for vallet & opt to cheaper transportation

Cons:
- there were crackheads hanging out at the hotel doors every night. they might be guests, locals or what not, who knows?! but one of ‘em was burshing a knife w/ his fingers, which was a bit scary & there was no security by the door.
- the fridge & phone in the room wasn’t working, it was reported but has to be outsourced to get fixed, so i had to keep stopping the front desk if I need something.
- room supplies were never replenished. I had to come to the front desk frequently to ask for these items, bec of no phone & i didn’t know they were missing until I needed them
- coffees in their cafe were almost doubles compare to stabucks

The hotel location is great. The trolley stop is right in front of the hotel on Canal St.
The dissatisfaction is with the elevators. They are slow, and some were out of order, which is not an issue if the stairs are available. The stairs are only accessible in case of an emergency.

Overall it’s a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. Had some issues with broken elevator & electric doors going in and out. Also asked the front desk for a wine glass from the bar and they were unable to honor this request which was disappointing & seemed like an easy thing to do for customer satisfaction.

The in room small fridge was noisy and the unit became uncomfortable hot to the touch after a few hours to the point we felt safer to unplug and do without any chilled water. A compact fridge is a must have when i travel but the one in my room 213 was a poor and cheap version for a otherwise well established hotel accommodation

They nickel and dime everything here. Charged an extra $50 for an early check in (every other hotel just gives it for free if they have the room clean and ready). And then demanded another $10 to hold our bags at the front desk for a couple hours (also normally a free courtesy hotels offer). Then of course the $50/day parking fee and expensive breakfast.

The staff was nice. The chairs and upholstered furniture could use a deep cleaning. Comcast/full tv functioning did not work. The pool never had a stock of towels. The mini fridges in the room were super small, could not hold a standard styrofoam to go plate. Also, located right across from an emergency room, ambulance sirens most of the night which of course is the fault of the property but will not return nonetheless.

Definitely not as nice as the pictures. Valet service is fantastic and their hosts are great however, have a problem with authorizations not being returned, they do not offer statements or receipts for authorization costs and the billing department woman is aggressive, refuses to listen and rude.

The hotel is perfect if you want to be a little further away from the noise and hoopla of the bourbon street area. A lot of the surrounding buildings are closed down or in use of Tulane University campuses. Upside, the hotel is off Canal and about a seven mi Ute walk to all the entertainment areas and restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious which I did enjoy, while traveling with four adults. The beds were as simple as they get. Only fitted and flat sheets not even a comforter on the beds. The room needed a thorough cleaning as it looked like no one had swept or disinfected the room in quite a while. The water pressure in sinks was slow and took forever to get warm water to come out. The showers though, pretty good. Overall, it served its purpose. 2 out of 5 stars.

This hotel is not guest friendly. The atmosphere is bland filled with beautiful furniture. I had an incident with the Valet Manager that really put the icing on the cake for me. I never was able to get in the pool due to the weather, no bartender in sight on the property, breakfast $20 only offered on weekends, if you want your robe and slippers you have to ask for it, most of the staff friendly, housekeeping (no english). The place like fort knox, must have your key for everything.

The property itself is clean and visually appealing, and the bathrooms were well-maintained with consistently hot water, which I appreciated.

However, several aspects of the experience fell short. The bedding was minimal - only what felt like a thin top sheet - which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Communication was also a recurring issue; reaching the front desk by phone required multiple attempts (often 8–9 calls in a row), and this happened more than once.

Service was inconsistent. The night shift and valet staff were friendly and helpful, but the morning and daytime staff seemed disengaged and often redirected questions rather than assisting directly. Valet is $50 per night, and even then, I had to request my receipt multiple times before receiving it.

There were also unexpected extra charges. Bag storage is $2 per item, regardless of size - even for something as small as a shopping bag or fanny pack - which felt excessive. Additionally, there is no breakfast offered on-site. While there is a coffee shop attached to the building, I would recommend exploring other nearby options instead.

Overall, while the hotel looks nice and has some positives, the service, communication, and added fees significantly impacted the experience.

The property manager “ Monique” sent housekeeping up immediately.After a late night on Bourbon Street we came to the room and I turned on the shower but unfortunately there wasn’t any hot water. We were moved to a different room which was a suite the best room in the hotel lol I think!! Thanks again to the manager she handled it quickly.The halls and walls was dirty. I can definitely see this hotel being a 2 star by next year if better upkeep isn’t made and a new housekeeping staff. Unfortunately I will not be staying here again.

The hotel was really nice and in a good location. Parking available by the hotel is valet parking, but there are parking lots within a 2-4 minutes walk where I paid 10 usd for 24 hours. There are also some free street parking which is typically said to be safe by most people who actually live around that area. However, I will advise parking in a place that is well lit and if doing street parking, ensure that you read the street parking signs to be sure you're allowed to park there.

The pictures of the hotel online , are very beautiful but you are not able to see how clean it is. I was a former houskeepeer and the cleanliness was not up to standards. The bedsheets had not been replaced, i could tell it was previously slept in from previous hotel guset. There was hair, lint, crumbs, and dust on the floor and the bed frame and tables from the previous guest.it appeared like we had clean towels \"thank God\". The floors had not been sweeped or mopped in a while, cause the floors were kinda sticky,as well as you could see stains and hair from previous guest. I couldn't get much sleep cause it is a loud area and I am a light sleeper. But also, i cant relax or sleep in a hotel room that im paying for hoping and assuming it Should be cleaned before each guest. I called the front desk, \"super sweet lady\" and asked if we could get the room cleaned and sheets changed while we were out. She said \"ok baby, we'll take care of it\"but they only gave us fresh towels, and swept( or swiffered) the floors real quick cause the bed sheets were the exact same ones. How do I know? Cause there were some small green dot stains on the sheets and they were still there every day. Its a beautiful hotel, but the housekeeping needs better habits or management on cleanliness.

Well, let me see…. Neither one of our two queen beds had blankets on, just a set of sheets! We looked in the closets and everywhere. So we called the desk and they said “did you check the closets”. So they sent someone who claimed she didn’t speak English with one blanket….after about 30-45 minutes. When my daughter told her we needed two, she said “no English” so my daughter had to go downstairs to get another one.
Then when we got up in the AM, we had coffee lids and coffee packets….but no cups.
The shower head was welded in such a way, that you had to stand in the corner to shower and the hand held, unless you held it, it sprayed out the back and onto the floor.
The cabinet latch was broken on the fridge cupboard, and the fridge was not working.
We had to pay $50 for valet parking, and I asked if there was other parking and was told there was, but there had been several break-ins in the other parking!!
Needless to say, the location was great, the beds were clean, but overall our experience was not great!!
And breakfast is only served Thursday-Sunday!
