Cons-refused to give us a late check out-1 hour later from 11am to 12pm; lobby and hallways are sprayed with tons of overwhelming scent-if you have allergies to perfumes, colognes or floral smells don’t stay here-felt sick from the chemical exposure which caused coughing, sneezing and runny nose; no place to put toiletries in the bathroom-sink area is small; lack of space to put luggage-we had 2 large bags and 2 carry-on bags; no onsite parking-have to unload luggage, park in a parking garage offsite and then walk back to the hotel


Pros-on the dock area, within walking distance of attractions, beds were o.k, but not great; rooms seemed to be soundproof, 2 small free cookies in room

We did not eat the breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

Amazing room with great view in a great location. Spacious and comfortable apart from one issue. The heating didn't work and this was a pretty cold night! I did report to reception but it was quite late in the evening and it wasn't fixed. They did provide a very small radiator for me but it didn't really help. Fortunately once in bed it wasn't too bad. The staff were however pleasant and helpful and I'd definitely consider a return visit.

We love staying at this hotel. It’s one of our favourites and the location is perfect. On this occasion the person who checked us in was not very welcoming and clearly couldn’t be bothered. The staff at breakfast were very stressed and very rude. This won’t stop me using this hotel but the staff need to think about our they conduct themselves with paying customers. Other than that, we love it here.

Check In was done online, collected the keycard from reception. The room was alright if a little shabby in the bathroom, warm and quiet which is what we needed after a day shopping in the howling wind. The bar downstairs was well stocked, prices are to be expected for a City hotel. Breakfast was adequate; the sautéed potatoes were better suited for dinner rather than breakfast, but they were tasty nonetheless. The coffee machine was a bit hit and miss, one drink being just frothy milk. Perfect location for the arena, bit of a walk into the shopping quarter. Overall, it was an acceptable stay, but I probably won't book again.

Lovely clean hotel with the most amazing location overlooking the dock and big wheel. Pizza express literally at the front door too. Room was very comfortable, beds great, all expected amenities provided. Small snack and drink station downstairs which was convenient but pricey! Lovely bar area open until 2am if needed.

Downside----the single bed in room 311---and maybe other rooms --- is too hard

Bathroom was poorly lit.
The cooked part of the breakfast buffet was dehydrated from sitting under the heat lamps for so long.
The off site parking could not be described any better unless they added “Way” on the front.
The £12 overnight oarking discounted fee is actually £18

There was plenty of choices of drinks. Slightly overpriced to be honest but seems the norm these days. The service at rhe bar was well conducted with no one served out of turn.
The choices for breakfast was again well provides for most tastes and all the staff were pleasant and helful throughout our short stay.
The room we stayed in was clean and tidy with a generous supply of beverages provided.
The only slight problem was the tissues supplied in the bathroom ran out though it was as we were getting ready to leave.
It was a lovely hotel to stay at and as we were seeing a show at the arena across the road the exit from the ground floor onto the concourse facing the venue was excellent considering the windy weather.

Find another hotel.

Food was good along with the service from the bar/kitchen staff. Reception staff rude and incompetent. Bar was very busy after a show we watched, attempted to use the self service shop to buy drinks but the check out didn't work. Directed to two different tills to make the purchase but was ignored by staff. Rooms where dated, stains on the carpets and mold in the bathroom.

We were there for one night to see Busted & Mcfly. Our room was perfectly sized, extremely clean, and had amazing water temperature and pressure. The staff was super helpful and friendly and even remembered us the next day. It was our first time in Liverpool and we're from Orlando, Florida in the states. We would definitely stay here again and hope to in the future!!

Average at best. Stale damp smell as we entered the room. No seal on the bottom of shower door which meant bathroom floor was soaking wet after use. Towels and sheets were fresh and clean. Kettle was very dirty but changed for a slightly cleaner one after speaking to reception. Bed was quite firm. Location was very convenient.

Rather disappointing overall

Repeatedly faulty door cards which, on the sixth floor was tedious. They did replace the cards after a few trips!
Room service poor. Rather small supplies of teabags.
Reception did not always answer the phone and then going all the way down showed nobody at the desk.
We love Leonardo hotels but this just didn’t do that well, sorry!

Climate controls were difficult to figure out but room warm enough after solving how use the controllet. Room was a bit dark and dingy with low voltage lights. Wash basin was cracked as were the bathroom floor tiles. Carpet was very badly stained. Bed was comfortable. Room facilities were adequate but could do with better cleaning routine. Good wifi signal. All in all our stay was ok but room could do with a make over.

Great location close to the M&S area and within walking distance to Albert Dock, Liverpool one and Mathew Street.
Our room had a great view of the Liverpool Wheel, was spacious for a triple room and was comfortable and roomy enough for 3 adults. The only downside was that it was very hot.
This was our second visit to this hotel and we will definitely be back again!

Could be better!

This is our honest review of our 1 night stay at this hotel.
Positives for us:- good location in Albert Docks, modern reception & bar/restaurant area, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
Negatives in our experience:- dated rooms, old & grubby bathroom, stained & dirty carpets (we had to change rooms from the 1st room given as it was so bad I couldn’t let my daughter walk on it without shoes-2nd room although still heavily stained in parts was better), dirty mugs (1st room), brown marks on nets (2nd room), old air conditioning units that you couldn’t leave on throughout night because it was so loud!

It was a shame about the rooms as the hotel could be so much more than just a nice bar area - it has so much potential but needs updating. Unfortunately until this happens we wont be returning.

Never stayed here before but it is a perfect spot to stay in Liverpool. Situated by the docks, right next to the M&S Arena, walking distance to the town etc..
Rooms were clean and staff were accommodating. I asked for a room with a view of the Liverpool wheel and docks only a few days before and this was accommodated.
Never ate at the hotel so can’t comment but overall a lovely stay and would definitely return.

Leanardo Liverpool 3 night stay.

This hotel has a great location. However the room had a small double bed, the matress was not great quality causing my partner to have a bad back. The carpet was stained in several areas. The room looked tired. The reception areas was fine & above all the staff were friendly. Had breakfast on our last day, split food not swept up, sticky floor. Food quality below average. With an hour to go a people still coming in for breakfast, when we asked for croissants told they had run out.

I have stayed at Leanardo hotels before in London & these have been great. This Liverpool Leanardo is very basic & appears not to be as good as the Jurys Inn under previous ownership. We will not stay there again, the Pullman hotel we have stayed in before is in a different league & & only slightly more expensive.

Fanatics hotel

So easy to get to no matter how you get there car , bus ect the hotel smelt amazing all staff very friendly and very helpful lovely clean hotel great food . Nice area outside to sit very close to the docks 3-5mins , and Liverpool one lots to do around the area boat rides and tour buses … lots of cafes and shops and bars will definitely stay here again

Great hotel in a lovely area close to the arena at the docks so very handy for the town centre and all the docks attractions. The only faults were that some of the stairwell carpets were rather worn and scruffy and the hotel staff need to ensure that everything g in the room (TV and air conditioning ) work correctly. I would stay again - room was lovely, bars very clean and helpful friendly staff
