Excellent location, staff were amazing, attentive, willing to go above and beyond in terms of service, the room was lovely and clean. I would highly recommend. My only criticisms are that the soap in the shower was clearly watered down. Also it would have been helpful to have been notified that there is a car park right next door to the hotel which is cheaper (even once the hotel discount is added) but much closer than the recommended Q-Park one and you don’t have to book it online. I forgot to pre-book online so it worked out more expensive for me!

The hotel is beautiful, extremely clean, our room was perfect and very comfortable, had everything we needed, very modern too. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order too which was great. What a delightful trip, from the moment I walked. I was welcomed by staff who were tentative and helpful.
This extended through my stay, and into the morning of my departure. It was made apparent that the team could not do enough. They were courteous and helpful right up to exiting the building.

I would 100% stay here again, the hotel was immaculate, well maintained and guests were their priority.

Pete was a standout on my welcome and the young lady, who I think was Italian at breakfast also went above and beyond.

What a fabulous Hotel! From the minute we arrived, the warm welcome we got from Reception, especially Billy, was great, it's not something you see so often anymore. You truly felt like you were appreciated for staying there. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Room was spotless with a well thought out modern layout. Breakfast was lovely and was nice to have cooked breakfast served to you and then buffet style continental. Mini bar stocked with the basics was a nice touch. They even gave us a hand written anniversary card and dessert plate in our room, it's the little touches that make this Hotel so lovely. Would definitely return. Thanks to all the staff.

The Halyard is a wonderful hotel, spotlessly clean,the rooms were well equipped and airy..
The evening restaurant menu is small,but everything cooked from fresh in the open plan kitchen, and something for everyone on there,our young waitress ( can't remember her name) was a credit to her employers.
If i only have one grumble, it was breakfast service, after the continental breakfast was explained, our hot option menu was put on the table,within 2 minutes a waiter was there asking for our order..we hadn't even opened the menu, we asked or more time,he literally came back in 2 minutes for our order.
Then we were inundated with 3 staff,topping up juice and asking if we were finished, one waiter even taking my friends plate away( and trying to take mine) whilst i was still eating my breakfast!!
I understand breakfast service can be hectic, but please,give your customers chance to look at the menu and enjoy their breakfast..
But thats my take,don't let this put you off,The Halyard is a fantastic hotel, with warm and welcoming staff and super helpful..its a definite return for me.

Had a fantastic night’s stay at The Halyard - wish I had been there for longer! Check in was quick and easy and I was able to get into the room on the 6th floor early. The room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of hangers and drawer space to unpack. Complimentary drinks in the mini bar were much appreciated. It was quiet and there was no disturbance from other rooms or outside. Lovely smelling toiletries and the corridors event smelled nice - little details that make a stay feel more premium. Room service was reasonably priced and arrived promptly (took around 20 mins at 9pm). Breakfast included a good continental buffet selection and hot dishes too. Service was excellent. Would 100% stay again if I visit Liverpool.

This is a really lovely hotel in the heart of the Ropewalks district. The design and decor are great, the rooms are spacious and well-thought out and the bathrooms are pristine. I used the gym on the top floor and it is functional and clean with amazing views of the city. All the staff were excellent - friendly, warm, professional. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day - enough variety on the hot menu to keep me from getting bored! Loved the fresh juices and the variety of hot beverages too. Some more variety of fruit on the continental table would be appreciated but this is a very small critique. I had a fabulous week there and look forward to being back!

We really weren't sure what to expect from our first hotel stay with a 11-month old puppy, on her first trip to a big city, but our stay at The Halyard Liverpool it exceeded any expectations we could've had.

The hotel itself is stunning: beautifully designed and immaculately clean throughout. Our room layout was so unique and thoughtfully designed, though the light switches did take a little getting used to at first.

Food and drinks were absolutely lovely, but what really stood out was how pet-friendly the hotel is. There was a dog bed and bowls waiting in the room, and our puppy was treated like a guest in her own right. She received so many treats - she was in heaven! The hotel is also within perfect walking distance of everything the city centre has to offer.

The service across the board was exceptional, but a special mention must go to Ella, who we met on our second night. She was incredibly kind, made such a fuss of our dog, and when she found out we were staying for my 30th birthday, she surprised us with a voucher for two free drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch.

One thing to note for future guests: a service charge is added to all food and drink orders - whether room service, or at the bar. However, given the outstanding service, it was more than deserved and absolutely worth it.

We can’t recommend The Halyard highly enough and will definitely be returning, especially with our very spoiled pup!

Room was great, check in was slick, bar was nice (but closes quite early - 2330 does seem a bit early for residents). Breakfast a bit disappointing for those of us that don’t eat red meat. If you don’t want eggs you’re in for pancakes or continental. I don’t understand the lack of veggie or turkey bacon (I appreciate that’s just me - but vegetable sausages cause just the most insane reflux!)

Disappointing, more space in a Premier Inn room.

I was generally quite disappointed with The Halyard, basically a Premier Inn with more fixtures.

The bed was extremely comfortable with beautiful crisp white bed linen.

The room has this metal divider which serves as some sort of wardrobe. This divider cuts the room in half and makes the room feel tiny with no spare space and no space to house luggage comfortably.

I was extremely disappointed with the room’s size and ruined the buzz of staying in a so called 4.5 star hotel.

Weekend family break in my home town

The staff at reception are lovely and very focused on you, friendly and attentive.
Pete saved the day for me and he knows why!
Thank you for being responsive to an external noise issue which wasn’t good. It also was not any fault of the hotel.
The food is gorgeous, tapas in the restaurant and is of a high quality. The Spanish style throughout and in the rooms and restaurant is elegant and contemporary.

The hotel is a short 5/10 minute walk from John Lewis and Liverpool One so centrally located.

Hotel staff were all friendly and we had a very efficient and pleasant check in. Rooms are nice and well equipped, nice to have decent coffee and a couple of free soft drinks in the minibar.

I must say I was a little disappointed with the mattress quality/feel. Not a dealbreaker but it’s certainly in the bottom tier of hotel beds I’ve slept in over the past year especially when this so rated as 4*.

Not sure if it was just our room but was also aware through the night of gurgling noises / the sound of flushing pipes - not ideal but not enough to complain. If I was staying more than one night I would have.

Breakfast was nice, well stocked continental and a la carte - no complaints.

Overall a decent hotel for the price, but if I go back to Liverpool I may look at other options.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We appreciated their hospitality, kindness, and respect. The staff at the place we had just left in London acted like we were putting them out. When we arrived in Liverpool, we felt welcomed and cared for, and not in a condescending way. It was our first time staying at the Halyard, and we would definitely do so again!
