Great stay! Reception staff were fabulous! Courteous and extremely efficient, check in and check out was seamless! Hotel was spotless and lovely fresh smell everywhere. We requested extra towels as we were a party of four and only three sets had been supplied but they were delivered up to our room as soon as we'd requested. Would definitely stay again and would recommend. Credit again to the great reception team.

Very polite and attentive staff throughout our visit made us feel like vips, the room was large and air conditioned but was scewed shut. Only downside was the plugs by the bed were not standard 3 pin so could not plug in cpap machine so had to request an extension lead - note these are not the only hotel to not consider this.

Fantastic stay, only let down by the fact that the main room window could not be completely closed. This lead to a night of constant street noise and a overly cold draft. Upon checking out, I mentioned this to the lady on reception who replied it happened quite regularly. No apology or offer of a partial refund or anything. Enough to stop me booking with this chain again.

Check in was very poor and slow. queued for 20 minutes with only one other person in front of us. When it came to checking in, I was told a £1 holding charge would be placed on my card, so I tapped my card on the machine and it actually placed over £60 on hold on my card. The staff member had charged me twice for the room despite it being paid for in advance. The charge has now sat pending on my account for the last 3 weeks. I have had to contact my bank to try and resolve. The check in process was slow and when we did head up to the room, we got there to find the key wasn’t working, so had to go back down and queue again to get the key card redone. We ended up being late to the event we were going to because of how slow the process was!

The rooms are dated but fine for a cheap one night stay. Unfortunately the check in process and having to mess around getting charged removed from my account make the whole experience inconvenient.

Firstly finding the place is a nightmare if going by car. Very convenient if by train however Liverpool city centre is a nightmare to negotiate by car. Secondly the hotel is very tired and aged. Also the car park although attached, doesn't belong to the hotel, it's a Q-Park if trying to locate it. Staff were polite and helpful during our stay.

Comfortable room in a good location just 2 minutes walk from Lime Street station. Staff were helpful but i was attending a conference and left my room at 8.30 am and returned at 4.30pm to find my room had not been serviced. I was told by reception that housekeeping work up until 6pm. Given that this is a city centre hotel with lots of business clients returning to rooms after work etc and that check in is 3pm onwards I feel that it was not up to standard to find my room unserviced.

Staff where not very friendly, we had our daughter with us, last year the staff where amazing and made an effort and she had to play a game around the hotel, this year there was nothing was a little bit disappointing, the room we love the view the noise of the fridge was awful we had to turn it off and the bed was not the comfiest on check out the staff where not very friendly. We enjoyed our time going the Christmas market next door to the hotel so that was good.

Was asked for a £50 debit deposit on my card despite already paying for the room! This is not standard practice for any hotel I’ve previously stayed in. Normally they take a scan of your card and only debit if you use something like breakfast room service. Then on check out they say it will take 3-5 days to be credited back to your account! Not impressed! The remote control didn’t work on the tv so couldn’t watch it, the bath towels were tiny and the pillows were uncomfortable feathers!

When we checked in it was extremely busy. I did feel we eere rushed through check in and told everything at 100 mph it was hard yo recsll everything that we had been told. We weren't told checkout time and there was no information in the room that we could ser.
The room itself was fantastic. We had a great view of the Christmas matkets. All amenities in the room were brilliant.
Breakfast was soo good. Everything was replenished before it all went.
We will definitely stay again

Lovely clean comfortable hotel, in fantastic location and staff were lovely too. I’ve gave 3 stars as I had booked this on book now pay at property but two weeks before my stay they took the money off my card held on hotels.com. No communication from them to say they were doing this, they just took it. Then when I got to the hotel to check in they offered me an upgrade for an extra cost when I think they should have done as a good will gesture.

Upon arrival the staff were friendly and checked us in with no issues.
The Hotel was very clean & our room was very clean also, which was a welcome sight!! Although the room wasn't huge (queen room), it was big enough for what we wanted and had adequate storage. The bathroom was spotless!
We had Breakfast included which was nice but the only thing for me personally was that the fruit & yoghurt selection didnt have the greatest choice....... The only Fresh Chopped fruit was Melon & Pineapple, though there were individual pieces of fruit available.They only had Natural Yoghurt and no other choice. It was all nice and fresh but personally I would have liked more choice as that's my main b.fast. They had a good choice of the usual cereals, breads & cooked.
The hotel was a great location in the city as we were sightseeing, so we left our car in the carpark all weekend and walked about the city! There were plenty of eating places locally to get an evening meal.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend this hotel for cleanliness, convenience & good service!

Room was nice but needed a deep clean. Lights in the bedroom wouldn't work via the switch on the wall - you could only turn them off by taking out the key card so then all the lights went off. Sofa bed was made up for our arrival but only had a thin duvet but this was rectified on request.

The hotel is a little dated, but ok, not bad, not great. We had a family room with a queen size bed and a sofa bed, but it was fine. It’s also nice to have a window to open for fresh air, sadly so often not available these days. The problem with that is that Liverpool is a noisy city with loads of shouting late at night and street cleaning and deliveries early in the morning. Not great, but not the worst.

Everything was clean .It was a Saturday night and the area was quiet. We walked home from an excellent concert at the Philarmonic Hall and were not bothered by anyone.
The hotel was quiet and the breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our short stay and will stay again

We were asked if we wanted to pay for upgrade! £30 this included parking in QPark (£16) so we agreed plus £15 each for breakfast. The room was nice, clean etc! On returning in the evening we couldn’t get the tv to work, reception replaced batteries in remote it still did not work it was late so we didn’t both! All night at 10-15 minutes intervals there was a mechanical noise in the room as thought a fan was trying to kick in really annoying! Reported to reception on check out they said maintenance would check it! Without the discount plus the upgrade this would have been £170 including breakfast (which wasn’t great) so not value for money!

Great hotel, everyone was so helpful & friendly. The whole property was spotlessly clean. It was situated right in the center of town, convenient for shops, restaurants & public transport etc.
I felt the breakfast was quite average & a bit expensive. Also during the night the rooms were very hot, the window did open a bit, which helped sightly. All in all we had a great stay.

Wouldn’t go back to this hotel . After a stressful journey you just want to get into your room fast .Check in was very slow , something about the system not working but staff did not show much urgency about fixing the problem and were not very apologetic.
Buffet breakfast was disappointing , not a very fulsome choice of food , e.g no fried eggs, surely a breakfast staple ? Choice for continental breakfast was particularly poor.
In addition , we came back to the room at 5 pm one day having been out all day to find the chambermaid had just started cleaning our room . We had to trudge back downstairs and wait in the lobby for another 15 minutes .
The room itself was a bit shabby and in need of upgrading . No drawers or shelves - where are you expected to store jumpers , socks, underwear , phone chargers jewellery etc ?
The location is also not good for sights , restaurants etc apart from being near the station Not a great experience.

The employees were so friendly and helpful, and the car park was a bargain with us needing to leave for an hour in the morning!
The only disappointment was the lifts, one was out of order and the other couldn’t cope with the demand leading to long waits - did not spoil the stay at all, and I realise these things happen but it caused some delay for us in the morning being in a high room

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Liverpool and overall, it was a very good experience. The hotel boasts a great location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Whether you're visiting popular attractions or just enjoying a stroll through Liverpool, you'll find everything within easy reach.

The staff at the Marriott were exceptional, as always. They were friendly, attentive, and eager to help with any requests or questions we had during our stay. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience.

The only minor downside was the bed, which was a bit too firm for my wife's liking. However, this is a matter of personal preference and might not be an issue for everyone.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Marriott Liverpool for its prime location and excellent service.

Great location close to Lime Street station and bus terminal. Hotel reception area and Oliver’s breakfast restaurant warm but couldn’t get room temp up. Spoke with other guests who said same. TV faulty with poor picture quality and signal issues. Bath was very narrow and shower head not height adjustable. No underfloor heating so bathroom cold.
