The bed was very comfortable, and the location is brilliant for exploring the city.
However the room was damaged and not very clean and weathered. Large knife was on a low shelf readily accessible to any small child.

If you like your reservation lost, sub standard room, faeces and urine and other fluids in bedding and mattress, terrible musty room smell, broken internal doors, broken shower drain, broken wsh machine and no communication and wifi, being ghosted and not responding to a refund, then stay at Terlon. Do filthy we have reported the above to the Liverpool Council for health and tourist hazards. The manager was in complete denial saying the above was acceptable to stay there. We RPT barely 2 nights sitting up in chairs. Stay if you like the above

Room was in a good location. It was well equipped however we were disappointed when we were making the bed to discover the mattress protector underneath our sheet was stained with blood which obviously is not putting thing and something you wouldn’t expect in a hotel station shouldn’t expect it here really on the ground alone it’s a place that I will avoid in the future especially as we paid good money to stay for four nights

First time at Terlon, our usual haunt round the corner was full. Previous reviews were mixed, so wasn't sure what to expect, but it was definitely ok, a few piccy things that could have been better, such as a tea towel, ovenware and larger towels, but all in all, minor grumbles, and it was pleasant.

The room I got was not what the photos look like and the bed is so small and has a cheap mattress and towels provided are of poor quality. The floor was not clean as my socks were black from the dirt from the floor. I would not recommend this place

Reception staff was excellent despite the contradicting messages sent through Expedia with regards to check in times and security deposit.
As other reviews state the place is tired and in much need of some maintenance.
The room was ok, bed clean (although small) kitchen ok but dirty soft furnishings. One full length mirror and large mirror in the bathroom which was good.
Noise wasn’t too bad although we were out all evening.
Overall probably wouldn’t return for the price, but staff really welcoming and friendly.

I complained when checking out. The apartment was dirty, the mattress topper was completely stained, there were cup marks on table, curtainsnwere habging off the rail, didnt close. The floor was lifting in places, there was mould by the shower, cigarette burns on thr other table. I would havr checkrd out indtantly if i had somewhere rlse to stay. I would never recommend it and would never stay there again

Really good place to stay, 30 second walk to Mathew Street and couple minutes walk tk bus station etc.
Room was well equipped and lots of space could do with a coat of paint and maybe a new mattress in the room we stayed in. Other than those two small things I really enjoyed the stay and would definitley stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

We received an email before we arrived asking us to ring, we got through straight away and spoke to a very friendly person. We then received really clear instructions on how to access the property which we had no problem with.
Property was clean but well used, bed was slightly uncomfortable but we were only staying one night so all the facilities were adequate for our stay. Everything that was on the list was there.
The only thing to be aware of is the noise from the Cavern Quarter.
When we initially arrived we could hear the noise but when we closed the windows the sound was blocked out, however in the evening and until about 3am the windows made no difference at all so we would advise taking earplugs!
Overall property was ideal for one night, everyone we were in contact with was friendly and helpful, just be aware of the noise.

The trip was far from pleasant. The apartment did not reflect Hotels.com images in terms of the standard and upkeep of the room. The bedroom had no window that would open, so the room was unbearably warm. This resulted in neither of us getting any sleep. The sink in the bathroom leaked water from underneath so we couldn’t use the taps (unable to wash hands or face). We were then unable to check out properly in the morning as no one was available at reception. We had to leave the key behind the desk on a box. We wouldn’t stay ahead.

Nice but could do with better bed

Abdul on reception was extremely helpful. He allowed us to check in 30mins early.

There's no air conditioning in the room so we had to keep a fan on and windows open.

It's a good location but if your room is facing the cavern club you will be singing along to the music that you can clearly hear until the early hours.

The studio was spacious enough for the 4 days that we were there for. It was clean but could have benefits from better quality bed and mattress. The extremely soft didn't fit on the small bed frame.

The apartment was a bit tatty, but generally clean, there were no toiletries as advertised, half a toilet roll, the bathroom smelt very damp, bed springs kept popping, poor standard of cutlery, only one teaspoon. There were no instructions on how the ventilation system worked. It was very quiet with windows shut, I expected noise as I was situated in the middle of the entrainment area of the city. But with ventilation not working and damp smell I had to leave windows open. Wouldn’t book again

No onsite parking, had to pay additional parking fees at a multi-storey car park, our room was situated directly above the noisy cavern club area where loud music was playing and crowds were gathered until around 3 o’clock in the morning. The hotel itself was shabby looking with dirty stained floors.

Good for one-night

We booked a studio for 1 night and the apartment was clean, spacious and in a great location. The mattress wasn’t very comfortable as it was very springy, and you could hear the noise from the bars and clubs around the building (we were aware of this prior to our stay). However, we were so tired that this didn’t bother us!

The only major problem we had was checking-in. Upon booking I was informed that check-in instructions would be sent to me 24hours before check-in but then it also said I’d be sent them on the day of arrival, and then somewhere else it said I needed to contact the property at least 24hours before arrival so this was very confusing!

I tried to contact the property prior to our arrival however the number provided didn’t seem to connect so I waited until the day to see if I got the check in email but received nothing. We got to the apartment and tried to call and got no answer so we were stood outside the building in the rain as we needed an access code to get in. Luckily, a couple staying in the building came out and kindly told us where to go and what to do.

When we got to reception, I explained the that I’d had zero communication about check-in and the details were sent to me there and then (a bit too late by that point!). I assume I’d been missed off the email list.

Overall the stay was fine and cheap for one night however communication prior to arrival definitely needed to be better.

Great hotel room. However, do not book if you need a good night sleep. Room was so noisy couldnt sleep and so only ended uo staying one night. Hotel also didnt refund the other night which we were unable to stay for as couldnt risk another night of no sleep. Great hotel if you are planning to stay up all night but if travelling for business or with kids avoid.

On arrival, the front of the property was not appealing. On entry into the property and going up to the first floor, where our room was, floor 1, apartment 11, the building had some lovely old features. The railings and the windows, very Victorian so it gained more appeal. On entry into our apartment, on first glance it was satisfactory. The decor looked nice and amenities/facilities seemed adequate. We wanted an apartment rather than a hotel room to give us more space and freedom. Unfortunately, the laminate flooring was filthy. Our feet when we showered were black. One of the plug sockets near the mirror did not work so we could not dry & straighten our hair at the same time, it was one or the other. The shower screen had an inch gap so the water was constantly leaking all over the floor, making it very slippery. The bath itself was very slippery so we brought a bath mat for inside the bath for grip. There was no ventilation in the room other than a floor standing fan, which we had to have running at night because it was so hot. Our main gripe was the noise. Our apartment overlooked Matthew Street and The Cavern Club. Great location however, you could not get to sleep as the music only stopped when the last person left. So it went on until 3am most nights. I would certainly not recommend this property or return for that matter. Very dissapointing stay.

The communication regarding the check in was very poor. The front desk is unmanned between 5pm-8pm, this is just the period when business travellers need to check in!!. I was informed by expedia to call a number, I did, was told that someone had tried to call me in work, couldn't get hold of me so I would have to wait until 8pm. The person from Terlon apartments was terse, bordering on rude and very uncompromising. The room however, was very nice, good location, with cheap parking nearby, so I would commend that.
The person on reception was much nicer, apologised for my check in issues (another business traveller was in the same position as me!) and did his best to remedy the situation.
The rooms are good, but the problems with check n mean I would not return to stay.

Third time just as lucky as the first

This was our third stay in these lovely apartments. Second time in the same, preferred room. We just won’t go anywhere else because they’re ideally placed for getting into the centre on foot, they’re clean, comfortable and in a great position overlooking the busy high street. They’re well sound proofed so the noise out there isn’t a problem. Not forgetting the staff, they’re just so kind, helpful and very friendly. Parking is a stones throw away with very reasonable charges. Easy walking. Give it a go!

The initial impression of the apartment was positive, as it appeared to be in good condition, clean, and of a decent size. However, the double bed was uncomfortably small and firm.

The location of the apartment was convenient, being situated close to the city center and local bars. Unfortunately, on the Tuesday night of our stay, the music from the bars was excessively loud and continued until 2:30 in the morning. Additionally, we were woken up at 6:00 am by the noise of the bars changing their beer barrels.

While the location may be suitable for individuals seeking a lively atmosphere for partying, I would strongly advise against choosing this apartment for any other type of visit.

In short, we didn’t stay. We arrived in at 6pm, heard the loud music, went for dinner, came back to louder music at 9pm and decided to leave. We would have gotten zero sleep.

I was there with my 14yo son for the football. We asked if we could move room, the security guard couldn’t help. The place was clean but it was a little tired. If you’re there to party, stay there - it’s a great location. But if you aren’t, stay somewhere else

I did send feedback by email to the venue by email and heard nothing back.

We’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it . But this room we was allocated wasn’t no where near as up to standard . Firstly the door wouldnt allow us to open it it kept getting stuck . Then There was no heating so we had to use a mini portable heating that then smelt of burning . The bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed or even lock. The wall paper was hanging off the walls too . The bed is really springy so isn’t very comfy to sleep on and we was only given one flat pillow each. The sofa isn’t a sofa it’s a hard bench style sofa so again the comfort wasn’t there. We’ve stayed here a few times and usually get an ok experience but this time round we haven’t enjoyed it or felt it was up to standard of normal

The negatives the bed was really really uncomfortable and the noise ...well being so close to Mathew street i expected a bit of noise but this was on a different level. We didn't end up staying the night as we would not have slept at all.

The room and building was beautiful. Had a really great stay. Location was perfect for us. Two issues though; 1. We was not told about the hot water tank situation. The tank was empty by the time my partner went to get a shower only it was freezing cold water. This resulted in not being able to shower. This should have been communicated before hand so we was prepared. 2. I requested a romantic package which entails a bottle of presseco, strawberries, flowers and late check out only we not to keen on presecco so we asked for a cake as a substitute. I’m not sure what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting a tesco branded caterpillar cake for our 10 years anniversary.

I stayed here while I attended an event at the arena. The host (Evie) was great at communcating before and during my arrival: she kept things running smoothly, and professionally accomodated my late-arriving train situation. The flat itself was very clean and exactly what I needed for a quick trip. If I were staying longer, I wouldl have been able to use the ample amenities for self-catering. A great option, and I'd happily come back the next time I'm in Liverpool!

Very convenient for the city centre

We only had a night here but the place would suit a week or so as its spacious and has a small kitchen. Clean, tidy and comfy. Conveniently located for the city. The only downside is its very noisy in the street below. Saturday night the loud music and revelry didnt stop til 4am.

Great location but very noisy due to poorly closing window and furniture all chipped and tatty. Nice building and nice bathroom but main living area not worth the money

Great location.

Lovely room and absolutely fantastic location for a group of friends. Would avoid if you have young children as it is very central and is noisy till late into the night. When windows are closed you cant hear much then but we wanted to open windows as the weather was nice. It backs onto the street with Cavern Club on it so is a great location.

Stayed in the apartments for a hen party! They where fab, best location, clean, tidy. Really couldn't complain.

Apartment suited for the nightlife

This apartment is located close to the cavern club as well as plenty more bars and clubs. Great central location but I hadn’t realised just how loud it would be through out the night. Ideal if you’re there for the nightlife but not so good for a restful night sleep

When we contacted the apartments in the morning we were told that all apartments would have balconies and be all on the same floor which was not the case bit disappointing really as we were all on hen do but the area is great for pubs clubs and food

Excellent Stay at the Terlon Apartments

Would highly recommend the Terlon Apartments, great location for shops, bars and restaurants. Apartments very clean and spacious and were well worth the money we paid, will definitely be going back in the future. My only slight negative point would be it can be very noisy on an evening and into the small hours with people leaving nightclubs etc but I suppose this was to be expected given the location of the apartments. Excellent stay all round. 👍
