The room had views of scaffolding on the building next door along with noise at 7am. The carpet in the room had what looked like blood stains. The TV usb port didn’t work. Not really a 4 star hotel or the room we stayed in certainly wasn’t. Also the Nespresso machine in our room was broken.

The pool was cold. Booked half board, 2 adults with 2 children. Had to leave dinner table and argue with Reception staff as the restaurant team claimed there was no evening food allowance for our children, despite booking for all 4, half board. They said this was an \"Expedia\" problem. I showed them the terms and conditions of our entire booking, and there was nothing about there being no coverage for children. There's also only a £22 allowance per adult when booking half board.

Location is good and we had pre booked parking which is next door. The room was ok - spacious. But the sink didn’t empty which wasn’t great.
We used the pool which was quite cold and is quite small so hard to swim once you get a couple of people in. Sauna was cold - wasn’t working - which was disappointing

Handy for shopping. But room we were placed 2nd floor very very noisey.
Didnt apoear to be well insulated from roadside noise. Carpets could do with a freshen up and blinds needed cleaning. Outside of hotel was grubby with cigarette butts.

Breakfast on both days was good choice, however the hot food was not hot. There was too much in each dish, just left for too long. We were there for over 45 mins one morning & food not topped up so left out for that long. This is far too long for hot food.
Should have been put out in smaller amount, keeping hot food hot.
I did complain both days.

disappointing experience with Novotel

was unfortunately sick and unable to travel. tried to contact hotel to let them know, no answer direct number and central line said to contact direct. So was unable to sort anything prior to arrival. when I finally got in touch with hotel, they said nothing they were willing to do in terms of rescheduling or refunding. won't be using again (not that it'll matter to them, just thought they could do better as a big corporation)

Stayed one night at Novotel Liverpool with my wife and three kids. Minibar completely empty, not even basic drinking water provided. Called room service in the early hours asking for water and was told: “It’ll cost £5 to bring it up, or you can come down and get it yourself from the bar.”

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. For a so-called 4-star hotel, this is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs

These rooms are so old that there is mold all over the bathrooms. The sinks and shower don’t drain due to obvious hair blockages. The carpet is dirty and grimy. The staff were friendly but the accommodation was truly just gross.

A very smart hotel really close to everything we wanted. The room was clean and tidy. The shower leaked water on the bathroom floor but was only a minor issue.
I only had one electric socket by the bed so only one item could be charged. So had to unplug the hotel telephone. Way so few sockets?
Apart from that the hotel was good. The reception and bar were very nice.

Relaxing break

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very good with excellent shower and seperate toilet which lacked a small sink to wash hands. It was also very quiet. If we return to liverpool this hotel would definately be on our list.

This is the first time I’ve stayed at Novotel Liverpool . Its first-class rating is well-deserved, thanks to the staff, who are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are excellent, and the overall vibe of the hotel is perfect. I’ll definitely be back.

It’s in a great location across from Liverpool One, lots of dining options across the street n clearly lots of shopping choices in Liverpool One. The only thing we didn’t like was the view from our window which was facing other windows in an empty old building. Otherwise, our stay was great n having the home bargains shop next door was helpful!
