Very convenient for lime street station, and just the other side :2 reasonable pubs for pub grub. The Crown, traditonal , with amazing historic interior deco and great CAMRA beers, or the Lime Street Central, modernized interior and ok beers and grub

Fab location next to lime st station, clean and tidy, reception staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. Great when you want to go to the Christmas market. The hotel is on a hill though.
I spend a lot of time in Liverpool and this is my go to hotel. It’s a gem of a place.dx

Hectic check in, room wasn't great. Stayed at the back of the hotel and it's the equivalent of sleeping on the train platform. We asked in the booking process to be located somewhere quieter, however this didn't happy despite the hotel being quite empty. When we discussed this with reception, they said that we need to call and request a quieter room which we had already done.

Room had a terrible smell of bad odour.. had to keep the window.open at all times. Went for breakfast and the dishes were dirty, they still had remains of previous foods stuck to them. Breakfast wasnt very appealing. I did complain to reception and was told they will pass this on and was sorry also will.look to upgrade if i choose to stay another time. I did explain my stay was disappointing as i had stayed previously and that was fine but i didnt have the breakfast previously

Firstly liverpool is not only expensive for parking it can be a long way from were you are staying. This makes this hotel stand out from the other hotels, along with friendly staff clean spacious rooms and fabulous food and drink offers.

Excellent room,very spacious with king size bed. Free parking and really good breakfast in the price. Handy location for the sights,friendly staff and a very good onsite restaurant. Nice bar attached to the hotel. All in all couldn't fault it.

Arrived at 2:25pm, and told reception I wanted to check in, but was told abruptly to come back as check-in was at 3pm. Most hotels would check if the room was ready, especially as so close to check-in time, but that didn't happen. I know it wasn't time to check-in but it could have been said in a nicer way.
Had a twin as was travelling solo. Beds a bit wobbly. One single had springs sticking out. Luckily there were 2 single beds. The other bed was comfortable but there were pink stains on the quilt cover. Bathroom bath mat on second night was covered in brown stains on one side, so used a hand towel instead. Didn't try breakfast, but had heard that it was very good. Good location next to Lime Street station. Walls quite thin as heard people talking a lot, and location of room was next to corridor fire doors, which banged loudly when people passed through them on way to and from rooms.

If we hadn’t been knocked on the door by housekeeping before checkout, it would have been a comfortable hotel stay.

I shocked how nice the hotel was. Really good value for money and so I assumed it wouldn't be that great. I was wrong, I can't fault anything. Staff were friendly, food was really good, room was nice, bathroom was spotless with lots of big towels. Highly recommended

Great location. Check-in staff very friendly. Loved the overall vibe/theme of the hotel. Room very spacious and a good size barhroom. I didnt get a chance to take advantage of happy hour but a good option.

I haven't given 5 stars, purely down to the noise of the radiators keeping me awake both nights, but appreciate to change these would be a mammoth task.

We realised checking in was the afternoon but we had arrived around 10:30 so completed all the paperwork ready and went out returned at 2pm where we were told still not available ,by 2:20 3 more couples arrived and got their rooms immediately .
We saw another receptionist and room was ready 5 mins later After travelling over 280 miles would have been nice is some effort had been made to get our room ready a little bit earlier
We were in room 409 which was all fine however the noise all night kept us awake
There was some sort of industrial ventilation droning despite secondary double glazing though out the night coupled with the central heating system pipes which had a constant loud clicking noise also going all night .At over £200 for the night would expect to actually get some sleep and was up before 6am and left by 7am.
Disappointing as my first visit to Liverpool and a great city

The staff were absolutely lovely. They helped us with directions and other information.
The place was clean and comfortable, with lovely toiletries and other treats such as giant cookies!
The coffee pod machine was very welcome.
It was,a real bonus to have a fridge in the room, complete with bottles of water, and fresh milk to put in our hot drinks.
Slippers and bathrobes were provided for our use, which was another nice touch.
The breakfasts were amazing too.
The hotel is virtually next door to the railway station, so very convenient.
The only tiny thing I would mention is the lighting. My eyesight isn't great, and I would have appreciated a brighter light, ir extra sources of lighting, for reading etc after dark
On the whole, I have to say that this is one of the loveliest hotels I've stayed in.
A big Thank You to all the staff who made our stay brilliant.

The room was comfortable & warm. Great thick curtains that blocked out the light. The bathroom had a bath which was very welcome & the bath towels were very large & seemed new.
Staff were welcoming & stored our cases until check in time. Breakfast was plentiful but only scrambled eggs available. If any other style was on offer it wasn’t advertised.
Only downside was an annoying noise throughout the night which affected sleep. Possibly from the nearby railway station? It was hard to pinpoint where it came from.
A big bonus was the car parking which was free to residents & next door to the hotel. It was ideal for the Empire Theatre at the end of the street & I’d certainly stay again.

My stay was ok. Unfortunately the chair in the room was broken it was all loose and felt like it would collapse! I rang to reception and someone arrived about an hour later with an alternative (sadly I was having to sit on it whilst drying my hair). There was a man snoring very loudly in the next room so soundproofing isn’t great. However, I would stay again for a reasonable price. The location and free parking are a big plus. I didn’t eat or drink at the hotel so can’t comment on that. The bed was comfortable and the room was well equipped. I did notice the restaurant has good vegan options though which is good.

Everything was worn and dated, it needs completely updating. If thats the best room, the rest of the hotel must need serious renovation

Didnt even stay the staff was rude and aggressive, all because we was trying to sort a misunderstanding out with dates and the people i booked with rang to sort it spoke to the woman in reception, she bounced over to us aggressivily and went mad, we didnt get her so, went to the desk to try resolve it and she was still verbally aggressive and wouldnt sort a refund, not bothered about that more bothered my mrs had 2 ne at hospital and we was spoke to like dirt on her shoe

I stayed in this hotel during a recent 2-day break to Liverpool, and I was very impressed by the standard of the property. Upon my arrival I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist who informed me that I'd been upgraded to a deluxe room, which was an unexpected surprise. With this upgrade I was given a voucher entitling me to 200% off food and drink purchased in the hotel throughout my stay. Needless to say that I took advantage of this offer and I'm very glad that I did, as the food and service in both the Seven Seas Brasserie and the Castaway Bar were second to none. It is with this in mind that I rate this hotel a 5/5 property and I will be back.

Checkin was quick, the staff were polite, the cruise ship or liner theme was a novelty, and my daughter was impressed with the fish tank in the lobby. We were off to a good start.

We headed up to our room to drop our luggage off. As we were attending a theatre show at the Empire it was a quick in and out. Enough time for my daughter to complain to me that the bed ’smelled funny’. As we were in a rush I didn’t put too much thought into it.
We returned to the hotel around 11pm. After taking a shower I pulled back the duvet on the bed closest to the door. Immediately I was hit by a foul smell. It wasn’t obvious what it was at first, but when I pulled back what looked like a clean top sheet, I found the mattress protector and the mattress largely stained with what appeared to be ’still wet’ vomit. The smell was overpowering and made us all want to throw up. I removed the sheets and called the reception.
On a positive note, someone came to the room within a few minutes. I can’t remember the chaps name but he was full of apologies (not this it was his fault) and he helped me remove the mattress from the room.
He did ask if we wanted to look at moving rooms, but it was close to midnight at this point and my daughter was already in bed in the adjoining room. I pulled the mattress and sheets etc from the unused bed in the adjoining room and into the main room.
As you can imagine I was less than impressed with my experience.

This hotel is close enough to Lime Street Station that you can hear the announcements! It is also handy for the city centre and is a 20 minute walk to Albert Dock.

Despite being quite an old hotel, it is very well maintained and has excellent rooms with a good shower that are well sized.

I was also really impressed with breakfast as there were a lot of options that were regularly replenished.

Would definitely stay again.
