It was not clear that this is a hostel, other listings have \"Hostel\" in the title, I would have never booked it if i'd seen that. Had to present ID to check in that they then copied, credit card required because I might damage a door.
The room \"Superior\" double, was poor, freezing, and a lot smaller than the picture showed, the bathroom door couldn't even open fully as it hit the bed, which blocked one side of the bed off, you can't walk proper around the bed because it so tightly squeezed in.
If your desperate and no other cheap option then ok, but otherwise be prepared for it.

Found a last minute cancellation, for the price it was well worth it. Staff pleasant, smooth check in experience, wouldn’t let me friend through to the room although I understand it may be for security reasons. Comfy beds, nice en-suite, the only downside was the air-con that makes a noise and couldn’t turn it off. All in all for the price I thought it was very good and worth it- would stay again!

We stayed as a large group for a Stag Weekend, we found the rooms perfectly adequate for our requirements. My room was a double, it was clean and comfortable and had tea/coffee making facilities. The only concern I had was that the shower door contacted the shower head when the door was opened which might have been a problem if I had been \"heavy handed\". The major plus of the whole establishment was the staff, they could not have been any friendlier or more helpful, top class.

i received a lovely warm welcome to cocoon.
it is a little walk from the city centre which is not too bad however the final stretch can feel like uncomfortable especially late at night and as a female walking alone.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were checked in early and were offered help with directions if needed (we travelled there for a concert). The room was on the smaller side but for what we paid during a peak night it was still great value for money, plus the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was really spacious. That’s the only word I can use, OK. It was clean overall but dilapidated in places. The no windows is a plus for us as we like it dark! There was a lot of noise from upstairs (I think we were possibly under the pub) loud music and then what sounded like rearranging furniture both at 2am and again at 9am. We were in town for Taylor Swift so I understand everything was inflated and we just booked whatever was available, but the price definitely feels like a rip off now we’ve stayed. Overall, just OK.

Cocoon is located opposite St Lukes Bombed out cathedral on the opposite side and up about 500 yds. Reception is of a hostel type albeit the staff were very friendly & helped us book a taxi back to the Airport. (Yeah we tried Uber too!)
Room was a bit small - very comfy bed & lovely clean bathroom wit great shower. Its not the 5 star Ritz but you ain't paying 5 star prices either. Luggage storage cost £1 per bag but was safely stored away from reception in a locked room. Recommended for its value.

The young woman at reception was very pleasant. However, even though a small fan was going continuously while we were in the room, we found it sweaty and claustrophobic. We were aware it had no windows, but the room was much smaller than the picture indicated - this is what we had based our decision on. Absolutely awful. Booked a basement single room for 2 nights. When I discovered the tv wasn’t working it was too late to speak to anyone on reception so didn’t have a functioning TV. The ventilation system is unbelievably loud to the point I never slept. Managers replied saying the tv was working when it blatantly wasn’t. Went the next morning to reception and still nobody there so I checked out after 1 night.
